I even ordered an extra side of pommes frites because they were so good! The aioli served with the fries was absolutely delicious and the perfect complement. For dessert, I couldn't resist the Le Parisian Hot Chocolate, made with rich Valrhona chocolate and topped with whipped Chantilly cream. We also added fresh strawberries and a spiral croissant for dipping, which made for the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Was greeted kindly and told to return at 3:30 as they reset for Happy Hour service. We were seated right at 3:30 as a walk-in. Can't remember of the tatted gentleman who took care of us on the patio, but he was great! We ordered: the Parisian hot chocolate, another hot chocolate à la carte, mocha, tiramisu, + a cheese board for $88. The Parisian hot chocolate was definitely shareable honestly. Holy Cow... Little Frenchie absolutely lives up to the hype! We stopped in for breakfast while visiting Coronado, and it ended up being one of the best meals of our trip. Unfortunately, I only managed to snap one picture before we dug in because everything looked (and smelled) too good to wait. The food was incredible. Nothing was overly sweet or heavy, it was perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. My husband kept saying this was hands down the best breakfast he's had in a long time, and that's saying a lot because he's a serious foodie. We paid $80 total with a tip and still left hungry. The food was good though but not worth $25 for a croissant. I think it's a fun spot to go but the prices they charge are a little crazy for the value you get. We also were hoping to take photos and noted it in our reservation we made weeks in advance yet were placed in a corner by the bathrooms so be aware if you're coming to take cute photos you may not be able to get any. I arrived at 4:30 p.m. (they close at 9:00pm) and, despite there being many empty tables, I was told they only accepted reservations and the earliest available table was at 6:00 p.m.--even though I was dining alone. It honestly felt like they prioritized larger parties over a solo diner, since so many tables remained empty for well over an hour. I explained that I had come specifically for the hot cocoa spiral croissant, and they let me know it was first come, first served. I accepted that and returned at 5:45 p.m. When I came back, the restaurant still had plenty of empty tables, and at 6:00 p.m. I was seated at the exact same table for two that had been empty for almost an hour and a half. After being seated, I waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to my table. During that time, several staff members walked by, moving things around, but no one acknowledged me, even though the restaurant wasn't full. When my server finally arrived, I was told they had already run out of the hot cocoa spiral croissant. First off, the spritzer is absolutely delicious -- light, refreshing, and something I highly recommend if you visit. Unfortunately, my interaction with the host was less than stellar. I asked about ordering the spritzer and was told two things: 1. He didn't think they made it. 2. He "didn't have time." That response honestly caught me off guard. A paying customer walks in asking to purchase a product your restaurant does in fact make, and the answer is that you don't have time? Serving guests is literally the core function of hospitality. Thankfully, one of the waitresses, Rachel, who had helped me during a previous visit completely turned the experience around. I asked her for the drink and without hesitation she smiled and said, "Right away!" Within moments she returned with the spritzer in hand. Professional, courteous, and exactly the kind of service that keeps people coming back. I explained the interaction to her and she looked genuinely puzzled. I later mentioned it to the manager, whom I've met before and always found to be approachable, professional, and kind. He was clearly appalled by what happened and handled the situation with sincerity and care. That's exactly why this place continues to earn high marks from me. Problems can happen anywhere. The first time we came for Sunday brunch, we didn't realize reservations were required and couldn't get a table. The next available reservation was two weeks out, so definitely plan ahead if you're hoping to visit. When we finally made it in, we found out they had already sold out of the steak and eggs. So much sugar that I decided to take a Mike walk to the Coronado Ferry Landing. The service is excellent. They work really hard and are able to maintain a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. I was impressed. Coronado city, which is also an island, is a great place to explore before or after you dine at Little Frenchie. I suggest you take a walk afterwards to burn of the sugar high. I got a Jamon sandwich that came out as cold ham on a cold baguette; missing cornichon and mustard. They fixed both problems but it just put a damper on the whole meal. We didn't make a reservation and ended up waiting an hour for a table but the service was really nice and the whole restaurant was a vibe. It felt like you were eating in a little cafe in Paris. Came across this cute little French bistro for lunch on Orange Ave on a Thursday around noon as I brought an out of country visitor around the island. It was busy but we got a corner table booth inside as it was over 80deg outside and hot dry air. Inside it was a bit stuffy (eventually felt some AC blowing as the lunch crowd left) but we were seated quick enough. Our server was very attentive as well. We decided on some Erdinger Weissbier (non alcoholic German beer) along with Burgundy escargot (snails with garlic herb butter and baguette, which was very good), Onion Soup Gratinee (topped with comte cheese and country bread - quite impressed with the presentation of the dish) and their very generous sized Quiche (with bacon, caramelized onion, comte cheese) with a side of salad. Sadly we did not have space in our stomach for dessert but the popular one we see many tables ordering was the Le Parisian Hot Chocolate (Varlhona, with some whipped Chantilly cream) A La Croissant (spiral one). Maybe next time. Overall a very filling lunch before we headed out. This place seems to get pretty busy, so do make reservations ahead especially on weekends. read more

Little Frenchie is a cute European-style café that's a great stop for brunch while you're in Coronado! We really enjoyed the Parisian hot chocolate and ordered it with a croissant (they fill the croissant with some of the hot chocolate). I watched the video in my reels and had to try it since I love Parisian hot chocolate. The restaurant was tiny; we went on a weekend, so naturally, parking was challenging. We ordered Le Burger, Burgundy Escargot, and their viral hot chocolate. I was lucky they still had hot chocolate, even though we booked our reservation after 2pm. Le Burger was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the food and desserts. Would definitely recommend. My only (tiny) complaint is that they do not provide a snail fork for their escargot. In most French restaurants, it's either served without the shells or with a snail fork. It was really difficult to scoop the meat out. read more

Came here to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed the food. The breakfast was delicious and not overly sweet or seasoned. The interior is cozy and outside is so pretty. I really loved the presentation of the dishes as well as their hot chocolate! That hot chocolate was amazing~ perfect for sharing with a partner, friend, or your kids. Service was great with the host accommodating us earlier than our original reservation. Waitress and waiter services a little so-so. We did have to go out of our way to flag people down, but it was ok. Overall, lovely experience in San Diego. read more
