    beef short rib hash
    R o.

Tried out the Little frenchie after the Instagram of the hot chocolate in the croissant video reached me. My friend and I made reservations, which I would recommend especially for a weekend. We received great service from the hostess and servers. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server gave us tips on how to enjoy the food we ordered best. I did not try the French dip, but it looked good. I had the rib hash. It was delicious. The mushrooms were just soaked in great flavor from the beef and all the seasonings. I would recommend the rib hash. The hot chocolate was delicious, a little bit too sweet for my taste. Which I didn't know as I never had " Parisian" hot chocolate before. But I can definitely see people truly enjoying this. I did order a latte that I enjoyed much more than the chocolate. I didn't pay that much attention to the place itself. You could say it's an unassuming spot with good service. Overall a good experience and would recommend you try it out.

Brunch at Little Frenchie is a relaxed and delicious interlude. Reservations are a must. Portions are generous and the wait staff were attentive even though they were very busy. The sidewalk seating is a pleasant addition.

Little Frenchie is super cute! My friend and I went and ordered two coffees, a main dish and the hot chocolate croissant. The serving sizes were really small for the prices they charge just be aware! We paid $80 total with a tip and still left hungry. The food was good though but not worth $25 for a croissant. I think it's a fun spot to go but the prices they charge are a little crazy for the value you get. We also were hoping to take photos and noted it in our reservation we made weeks in advance yet were placed in a corner by the bathrooms so be aware if you're coming to take cute photos you may not be able to get any. I'm not sure if I'd go back but it was cute to go once.

I came for the hot cocoa spiral croissant, but it's offered on a first-come, first-served. Wish me luck!

I was really looking forward to trying Little Frenchie, especially their famous hot cocoa spiral croissant, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I arrived at 4:30 p.m. (they close at 9:00pm) and, despite there being many empty tables, I was told they only accepted reservations and the earliest available table was at 6:00 p.m.--even though I was dining alone. It honestly felt like they prioritized larger parties over a solo diner, since so many tables remained empty for well over an hour. I explained that I had come specifically for the hot cocoa spiral croissant, and they let me know it was first come, first served. I accepted that and returned at 5:45 p.m. When I came back, the restaurant still had plenty of empty tables, and at 6:00 p.m. I was seated at the exact same table for two that had been empty for almost an hour and a half. After being seated, I waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to my table. During that time, several staff members walked by, moving things around, but no one acknowledged me, even though the restaurant wasn't full. When my server finally arrived, I was told they had already run out of the hot cocoa spiral croissant. They did offer me a complimentary pastry, which I appreciated, but after waiting so long, it felt like a waste of time. I understand that limited pastries are first come, first served, but the overall customer service and handling of the situation were disappointing. For me, the hype just wasn't worth it.

The most perfect bunch was had here!! It's an adorable place serving the most amazing food, with the absolute best service! We started with a glass of champagne and the escargot for us, and the kids with the La Parisian Hot Chocolate - do not skip this!! Make sure to get it with fresh cream and strawberries served in the spiral croissant- because, oh em geee!!! Then we moved on to: crepes for the kids, the Frenchie Toast, Smoked Salmon Tartine, an American breakfast and a Bloody Mary for me. Everything was exactly what I was hoping it would be! The flavors were all blended beautifully and tasted amazing! I ended up ordering a baguette to go and snacked on it later that day with their butter - sooo freaking good! And so sad I didn't order more pastries to go! Don't make the same mistake I did - order more to-go for later!

A special brunch at a special place, Little Frenchie transports you to a Parisian Cafe with all the delightful ambiance, flavors and charm while enjoying the sunny mornings on Coronado. First things first, make a reservation. They book up fast so save your self the hassle of trying to walk in and just book it ahead of time. Second, come ready to spend. The place makes you want to splurge and try things you normally wouldn't and that's a wonderful thing. They have so many wonderful dishes and drinks, there's something for everyone. The short rib hash was rich and savory while the Parisian Hot Chocolate was silky and decadent. Treat yourself and make a reservation today, it's worth the experience.

Little Frenchie was considerate enough to reach out to make things right from my last visit. I was able to book directly with the manager for a party of 5 on a Saturday afternoon around 12pm. We were seated outside in the shade since I had my pup with me. The manager, I believe his name was Daniel, personally came out to speak with us so that was super nice of him to do so. My boyfriend tried the Poached Eggs ontop of Potatoes Skillet, I got the Classic Moules Frites, and the viral Hot Chocolate in rolled croissant ended up being on the house since we weren't able to try it last time. I enjoyed the mussels (moules), the portion side was pretty huge! They came in a thin, tangy and salty broth and was accompanied with french fries (frites). My boyfriend said the Poached Eggs ontop of Potatoes Skillet was a little bland though, but that's why I typically avoid brunch foods in general. I feel it's typically not as seasoned as lunch/dinner entrees. We shared the Hot Chocolate in the Rolled Croissant with our friends, the cream is my favorite part because it's so thick and dense, but the strawberries were also a nice fresh touch that definitely helped with the thickness of the hot chocolate. Overall this was a good experience and a cute place to sit, eat, and people watch on the weekends!

You must have a reservation. Went today at 9:45am and they were booked solid through breakfast and lunch and they said only a few dinner openings were left. I wanted to try their chocolate mousse so I asked for a to go order. I waited like 25 minutes out in the sun. The hostess was very nice and thanked me for my patience. The chocolate mousse was amazing . It came with fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings, with a sprinkle of salt and chocolate crunchy candies on top. So good $25 and could have easily fed 3 people so for sure order it to share! I need to come back and update my review after I actually sit down to eat.

The food was amazing. My server Veronica was amazing as well. I decided to check this spot out while on a work trip. I'll definitely be coming back. Tip: call ahead and make a reservation.

Very Nice and friendly staff. Even though we didn't have any reservations we were still able to get seated and I think that was very nice of them. So please make reservations. Veronica our server was really kind and very helpful. I love the way the restaurant looks inside and out. They have great outdoor seating as well. The food was just perfect on what we ordered. We even took some Pastries to go. We drove all the way from the bay area just so we can visit places like these. Will definitely be back soon.

This place somehow never seems to earn less than 5 stars from me -- and it's not just because the cuisine is consistently excellent. In my opinion, the true measure of a business is how it handles things when something goes wrong, and this restaurant handled the situation exactly the way a quality establishment should. Here's what happened: I stopped in briefly to use the restroom and grab one of the spritzers they make here. First off, the spritzer is absolutely delicious -- light, refreshing, and something I highly recommend if you visit. Unfortunately, my interaction with the host was less than stellar. I asked about ordering the spritzer and was told two things: 1. He didn't think they made it. 2. He "didn't have time." That response honestly caught me off guard. A paying customer walks in asking to purchase a product your restaurant does in fact make, and the answer is that you don't have time? Serving guests is literally the core function of hospitality. Thankfully, one of the waitresses, Rachel, who had helped me during a previous visit completely turned the experience around. I asked her for the drink and without hesitation she smiled and said, "Right away!" Within moments she returned with the spritzer in hand. Professional, courteous, and exactly the kind of service that keeps people coming back. I explained the interaction to her and she looked genuinely puzzled. I later mentioned it to the manager, whom I've met before and always found to be approachable, professional, and kind. He was clearly appalled by what happened and handled the situation with sincerity and care. That's exactly why this place continues to earn high marks from me. Problems can happen anywhere. What matters is whether management and experienced staff know how to recover -- and they absolutely did. The seasoned staff and management here understand hospitality. Based on this interaction alone, I honestly think the host may simply be better suited for a non-customer-facing role.

What a cute little place. It really does make you feel like you're in France. The food was so delicious. We of course had to get the Le Parisian hot chocolate with spiral croissant, which was presented to beautiful. Not only was it too good to eat but the croissant was flavorful paired well with the cream and strawberries. The Croissant Smoked Salmon Benedict was so tasty. Thank you Little Frenchie for your hospitality and delicious food.

We had been wanting to try Little Frenchie for a while, especially after seeing the viral hot chocolate with the croissant. The first time we came for Sunday brunch, we didn't realize reservations were required and couldn't get a table. The next available reservation was two weeks out, so definitely plan ahead if you're hoping to visit. When we finally made it in, we found out they had already sold out of the steak and eggs. While it wasn't the dish we specifically came for, it was still a little disappointing to hear them out of an item during brunch. We ended up ordering the Le Burger with the cheese presentation, and it was absolutely delicious. The avocado tartine was also fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The yolk in the egg was so creamy! The Buckwheat Crepe was also great! The smoked salmon inside was so flavorful. Of course, we had to try the famous hot chocolate with the croissant, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable brunch. The only reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 are how difficult it was to get a Sunday brunch reservation and that they had already sold out of one of their brunch dishes. Overall, we still had a great experience and would happily come back!

Our first night (yes, we went twice) we booked on OpenTable. We were kindly greeted to their wonderful atmosphere with smiles and asked where we would like to sit. We chose a table inside and the hostess actually noticed we had requested an outside table and came to ask us if we wanted to switch. We thanked her, but decided to stay inside. Jacob was our server, he greeted us, told us the specials, and asked if we had questions or would like to start with a drink. We ordered drinks while we decided on dinner. We have a standing rule when there are meatballs on an appetizer menu we have to order them. We are happy we did, they came out in a wonderful sauce, and they were tender and flavorful. As we looked at the menu selections a woman at the table next to us said, "This is the best lasagna I've ever had" and that solidified my wife's choice. I decided on the fettuccine alfredo. While waiting for our entrees, Jacob brought out some amazing bread that seems like it was grilled slightly with butter, it was great while waiting. Our entrees arrived and they looked amazing. The lasagna was beautiful, fresh, cooked to perfection and flavored beautifully. My fettuccine was cooked perfect al dente and obviously tossed in olive oil and garlic before placing it on the sauce. Reading the reviews that say there isn't enough sauce is incorrect in my opinion. The balance of the perfectly cooked pasta, tossed in flavorful oil and garlic allows you to put just the right amount of sauce without losing the other flavors. If you want a large bowl of sauce and some noodle, just go to Olive Garden. We finished the night off with some limoncello cake (amazing) and walked back to our hotel room after everybody wished us a wonderful evening. How could we not go back after that experience? So we did. Once again we made reservations on OpenTable and walked down to Vinarius from our hotel. Jacob and Giuseppe among others recognized us from the previous night and warmly welcomed us. Jacob said he was working a different section, and Paula would be our server. At first we were disappointed, until we met Paula. She was so full of energy and happiness that it was infectious. We started with drinks and this time Caesar salads for an appetizer. You can tell when a salad is fresh, the dressing house made and croutons that definitely didn't come out of a bag. I'm pretty sure they were made in a similar fashion to the bread the night before. Paula, Jacob and the gentleman who refills water were attentive and fun. There was a running joke that my wife could get her water refilled before the gentleman made it to our table. It just made the evening that much more fun. We both ordered the Margarita pizza for our entree. We LOVE pizza, we make it fresh at home and appreciate a great pizza. This pizza was so simple, fresh and perfectly baked. The crust was crisp, soft and flavorful in the middle and topped with a simple tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. We ordered another limoncello cake and shots to finish off the night. We asked Jacob if anybody there was related, he said no, but they feel like family. That is obvious. We then pulled Giuseppe aside and asked if he was the manager, and he said yes. We told him how great everything from service to the food was. Everybody there is genuine, and wanting to make your experience special and amazing. As we were leaving Giuseppe thanked us again, shook our hands and gave us each a hug. Everybody once again wished us a great night and trip back home the next day. Please experience this amazing restaurant, it's worth your time and your money. We will be back when we visit San Diego again.

It was a little unexpected, but one of the staff members kindly walked us over, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. Great food, friendly people, and a lively neighborhood. Little Italy is absolutely worth adding to your San Diego itinerary.
