After 30 minutes waiting, we got our drinks.. Mexican Coca-Cola....

Where do I even begin? We had high hopes for La Corriente Coronado, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We were seated right away and the lady hostess was very nice. However, we waited over 30 minutes without even being offered water. We were told our waiter was new, which I completely understand, but another hostess eventually had to step in and take our order. After ordering, we waited another 20 minutes for our food, which was especially frustrating with a one-year-old at the table. Even the homemade guacamole didn't come out ahead of the meal. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the wait. The beer-battered shrimp tacos had only THREE small shrimp total in each taco, covered in a huge amount of batter. They should honestly just be called beer-battered tacos. Definitely not worth the money. We really wanted to like this place, but between the service and mediocre food, we left very disappointed.

Service is good. Food was great as well. Now open for breakfast and brunch. We had the French toast and mushroom omelet. Both great. Friends enjoyed their breakfast as well.

The happy hour had an amazing variety. They bring out little mini tostadas with dipping sauces like a hot mango salsa, avocado, key, limes, and a mild red pepper sauce. The service is very attentive. The red snapper tostada was very special. I also had oysters and a shrimp taco.

Truly dissapointed at this place, considering I have visited the Tijuana location. My husband and I arrived and it took them about 15 to 20 minutes to even come to the table to offer us drinks... the food was so so... overpriced for sure, however the servers did not attend to us as I would have expected... they never brought us tostadas... I was very upset because we did observe that they attended to other tables, but we were left unseen after bringing the food... I definitely won't be back...

    Great omelet

Great spot for brunch. If you can eat outside in a nice day do it. Service was excellent.

The server was so helpful and I loved the food. Authentic Mexican shrimp and octopus cocktail. Also, the server helped us with ordering off menu items for the kids I.e., quesadillas side of rice and beans. They also have steak tacos. The ambience was relaxing and private for my group of 13 people. We reserved the restaurant weeks in advance and got VIP treatment. They had a long table ready for us on the side of the restaurant. The setting was private as no other groups were near us. One minor thing was that we did not have a heater in our area. All the heaters were in the front of the restaurant.

A welcoming set-up... cozy yet not overly crowded.

Oh my goodness! So we had a mixup with a reservation (my fault) and yet manager Katia handled it with such grace and professionalism that it allowed us to truly enjoy our evening and was it ever wonderful!! We'd heard so many good things about the menu it was tough to choose what to order... I thoroughly enjoyed the cauliflower (which we ordered is an appetizer). The sauce was complex, flavorfully warm, and absolutely delicious. (Yes just cauliflower) Yet it was as memorable as the most exotic dish on any menu! The fish fillet was yummy as well and cooked to perfection. The patio 'vibe' lent itself to a casual evening yet the service felt 5 star. Our server, Hector, couldn't have been more pleasant in spite of a crazy busy night. So grateful for a lovely evening and know La Corriente will be a welcome addition to the community.

Unfortunately, my experience at La Corriente was not very satisfying. The portion sizes were extremely small. My California taco was served on a very small plate, and my daughter's ceviche portion was even smaller. It was also very spicy, and she couldn't eat it. We asked if they could replace it with a non-spicy version, but they said all their ingredients are already mixed with chili. Instead, they brought a dish mostly filled with onions and just a few pieces of avocado, which was disappointing. The atmosphere was also not as expected. It looks much nicer in photos, but in reality, it's quite ordinary, located right by the street, and noisy. Overall, not a great experience.

It's an order at the counter with a small seating area inside and a nice patio outdoors. Purchase & provided a number. Not only do that have their famous lobster rolls, but they also have additional signature sandwiches, specialty soups, salads and home made cole slaw as just one of their side options. Most people here order the classic lobster roll as did I. That said, you can also customize your roll, plus they offer shrimp and crab choices too! Not to long of a wait, but keep in mind ALL orders are made "fresh to order", so if they're busy it can take a little longer. Presentation was nice and sandwiches are served with a slice of fresh lemon that brightens the taste. The highlight was the decadent butter fried roll. It was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You can taste the butter in each bite. They provide fresh cold water that you can serve yourself which was welcome with the warm weather. Additionally, they have soda and lemonade. It could be considered a bit pricey, but everything I was eating on my San Diego trip near the beach is. Service was friendly and they brought my meal to my table which was nice. Would definitely go again. Note-There are two other locations in the San Diego area. If you have to use the restroom there is not one inside their establishment, it's a few buildings down and they will provide you a key and directions.

We even hitched a ride on a couple's cart. They recommended it also. It is a small place- very casual beach vibe. You order at the counter and they bring your order. I order the lobster roll combo about $30. I was expecting a little cheaper fare since on the coast. The roll was good. Typical lobster and buttery bread. I would definitely go back if in the area.

We were seated right on time, which was a great start to the evening. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively without being too noisy, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. This was our second visit, and once again, the food did not disappoint. We've been here for both dinner and breakfast, and both meals were delicious. The menu offers a nice variety, the quality is consistent, and the prices are fair for the experience. Parking can be a bit challenging, but we were able to find a street parking spot without too much trouble. Overall, The Henry Coronado is a wonderful place for casual dining with great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. FANTASTIC! Absolutely will visit this place every time I'm in the area. I've already spread the…read moreword to a bunch of family and friends. This is very high on my list. Before I get started on the hundreds of amazing things to say about this place, let's start off with one "annoying" thing. It was hard to find. There were absolutely no signs in the hotel pointing you to where the restaurants would be. We also asked several hotel staff members and got even more confused. Once we found the little strip of several restaurants, we accidentally walked right past it thinking it was apart of the NoBu restaurant. Now that I know where it is, I'll know exactly where to go. Let's talk about all the GOOD! The view was beautiful. There were lots of kids playing on the grass in front of the restaurant but the way they set up the place, it wasn't loud at all and cute to see. The staff members were on top of their game. Nothing went unnoticed! They all worked as a team. The Knowledge about the restaurant, the food, and the drinks was very impressive. Even if you couldn't decide, they would happily guide you to make the right choices. - I want to give a shoutout to Mark our waiter. He was an absolute delight. He was witty, knowledgeable, lead us in the right direction, and spoiled us for our birthday celebration dinner. He made the experience 10x better. About the food...I'm still thinking about the delicious food they served and it's been weeks since I was there. I want to put extra attention on the halibut ceviche, WOW! That needs to be a staple is you visit, it's a must try. Also please don't ever take this off the menu! I would solely travel out here just for the alone and buy 5 at a time (yes it was that good). The sauce they put it in makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Everything here is very unique and worth it. There wasn't one bad food item at all. Plus the drinks, were so smooth. If for whatever reason you wanted to alter your drink (like someone at my party did) they were happy to accommodate and then they also executed perfectly. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but once you experience the service, the extra care, and the delicious food you can confidently say it's worth it. I hope more people experience this place, they deserve more than five stars.

With all the hype on the menu and the creativity in the design, I will say that Breakfast this morning was fair to poor We ordered the melon and Stracciatella... for the amount of money we paid for this dish. You could've at least given us some heirloom melon instead of the basic unripened, honeydew and cantaloupe with a bit of salt, shaved, mint, and strata, right out of the package. Poorly done. Also, your Baklava French toast, This had nothing to do with baklava because you candied a few pistachios and put an anglaise on the bottom of the plate. Then topped it with some strawberry marmalade. Which again has nothing to do with baklava. Perhaps you could've put some kataifi Filo on there and given it the real crunch that it deserved. Again for the price we paid. This was also poorly done. Enjoyed your pitaquillas they were flavorful and unique and creative, but I'll tell you overall this meal did not meet the price whatsoever. Once again we pay for the seat and the view and not the food. While our server was a gentlemen, his knowledge and education of the menu definitely was a good reflection of his seasoned training, but he did not carry throughout the service. He was pretty distant for long periods of time such as almost 15 minutes before we were even greeted and then long periods of time throughout our meal and even looking for him again to get our check once the manager was sent to go retrieve him. With an establishment this large, and such high standards. I expect much more. Hotel Del you got a lot to learn and so does your management in allowing a menu of this caliber to be sold at these prices at such a landmark establishment ***** $49 to have my vehicle parked whaaaat, and the Valet asked me how long I'm gonna be here. Lol you just parked a $111,000 EV Hummer. Leave me alone. It's none of your business. As long as I'm spending $200 to $300 and having some meals, I'll stay here as long as I want. Just park my car ...lol i'm walking on the beach too. You can find me there.!
