    Lobster & Fontina BLT

Somehow got lucky and had one of the best views inside by the window looking out at the skyline. Views are so pretty! Outside is also an option fyi to make pictures easier with no windows and there are outdoor heaters too but don't have the inside coziness. The food was actually quite good. The coconut shrimp was perfectly crispy. I've never seen lobster blt before and it was really good!!! Plenty of lobster, loved that the mixture didn't taste like a bunch of mayo, and the bread was so crunchy. Would honestly order it again. The fish and chips is a classic (fish was crunchy and well seasoned, wish they weren't so tiny! But the chips were just ok) Beautiful restaurant, would recommend!

While checking in, the staff member we spoke with wasn't very friendly. Even though there were still many open tables, we were assigned a table behind a person in a wheelchair. Since we had a small child who needed a high chair and my husband is quite tall, the space felt very cramped, and our stomachs were against the table the whole time while we were eating. During our meal, my husband asked one of the staff members where the restroom was, but she didn't seem happy to help because her conversation with another staff member was interrupted. We did have some nice interactions with other staff, but those two ladies did not make a very good first impression. The food tasted good overall, but many of the mussels we ordered were empty shells. The ahi was fresh and cooked perfectly, and they were very nice to help us put the Ahi in two plates for us to share. We arrived on a late Friday afternoon and were able to find a decent amount of self-parking available.

This place has a really classy vibe, and the view of San Diego Bay from the patio is absolutely stunning. I ordered the seafood pappardelle, and the flavor was phenomenal--rich, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The portion size was generous, and they didn't hold back on the seafood either. Our server, Nick, got us taken care of right away and continued to deliver excellent service throughout the night. He was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was spotless and beautifully decorated. The patio heaters made it warm and cozy outside, and the lighting created a perfect ambiance. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd highly recommend it.

Yes, I know I should probably be trying new places more often, but I keep ending up back at C-Level. At some point you just accept when a place does everything right. I've been here many times and the food is consistently on point every single visit. No off nights, no "maybe we just caught them on a good day" -- it's just solid every time. And the view? You really can't beat it. Sitting outside, looking over the water, especially when the weather is in the 80s... that's exactly where I want to be. Honestly, it's also one of the first places I recommend when friends or family are visiting and ask where they should eat. Great food, incredible view, and it's always a good experience. That's why I keep coming back!

Where to begin?! The drinks. The Endless Summer is incredibly refreshing. The skirts on fire salad has to be by far, one of my favorite meals of all time! I get that salad every single time I come. The staff is efficient and cordial. The best part about this place? The most epic view of the city of San Diego and the Coronado Bridge.

Heard many positive things about this restaurant and had been wanting to go for a while. I was finally able to visit when my husband brought me here to celebrate my birthday. He made a reservation a month early and was able to get the perfect date and time for us. Making the reservation online was super easy to do. This restaurant is beautiful with stunning views of the San Diego Bay, downtown skyline, and Coronado Bridge. It has an upscale vibe in a lively yet relaxed waterfront spot. It is an amazing spot for date nights, special occasions, and even casual meals. To start, we had some crispy calamari with a Vietnamese dipping sauce. The calamari was fried to a perfect golden and crunchy texture, while the sauce added a tangy kick to the seafood without overpowering it. This was a great appetizer. Another standout here is the parmesan chicken piccata, containing roasted artichokes, garlic-roasted tomatoes, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and a lemon-caper sauce. The light parmesan coating was an amazing combination with the tender chicken breast. It was really nice to have some greens, the broccolini, to balance out the creaminess of the dish. My favorite dish of the night was the seafood pappardelle pasta, which included bay scallops, white fish, mussels, shrimp, cherry tomatoes, chili flakes, garlic, pesto cream, rosemary-garlic crostini, and lemon oil arugula. It was such a generous portion of seafood that was not only fresh, but also high quality. Super flavorful pasta with just the right balance of richness and savoriness. Ended the night with a complimentary birthday dessert. It was a slice of strawberry shortcake that did not taste overly sweet or heavy. I really enjoyed it after having all the savory food. This was the perfect way to complete our wonderful dinner at C Level Lounge. My husband and I are already planning our next visit back.

I've been wanting to come here for the longest time, and finally did during the first day of San Diego Restaurant Week. The evening was a complete disappointment, here's why... It started off with 3/4 of the parking spaces being reserved for valet only. It looks like C-Level, Island Prime, and Coasterra decided to convert their joint private lot into a money-making opportunity. I had dined at Coasterra about 1 1/2 years ago and it was free back then. I don't know when they decided to take away 3/4 of the parking spaces, leaving just a very small section that was free. Four of us ordered from the SDRW menu for $50 each and the smart one just ordered fish and chips. I had such high expectations but was deeply disappointed. I chose the salad as my starter. I asked for dressing on the side. They set my dressing on the side, but decided to just give me mixed greens, nothing else. One of my friends got a salad that came with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, nuts and cheese. Mine looked too pathetic to be photographed... One of my friends and I got the ahi & salmon poke. It looked appealing at first glance, but it was flavorless. There was no sauce on it, nothing. They apparently forgot and we had to ask for ponzu, which was brought out about 10 minutes later. Aside from the flavorless bowl, there were other issues with this dish. There were hardly any fish, and the bowl consisted mainly of white rice. I would say more than 3/4 of it was rice. For dessert, I selected the key lime tart. I expected a regular sized dessert. Instead, I got a mini tart. It didn't taste good, so I suppose it wasn't too bad that it was small because I wouldn't have eaten it anyway. The meal was definitely not worth $50! It was overpriced and underwhelming. This was notably the saddest salad I've had and the most disappointing poke bowl. The dessert was a disappointment as well. Two of my friends got the lobster Mac and cheese as part of their SDRW experience and commented that it was a tiny kid-sized portion with barely any lobster. Except for the friend who ordered the fish and chips, we were very disappointed and walked away hungry. The evening was a disappointment and service was pretty bad as well. It was unfortunate that we had to pay a 5% surcharge on top of the overpriced meal. It would be nice if we could get our money back! Definitely do not recommend this restaurant.... A 3-star review is considered average. My experience was below average; therefore, a 2-star is my overall rating.

Come for the views, apps, and cocktails! Service was excellent. Recommend making an early reservation to enjoy the cocktail selection and appetizers, and to get a parking spot! Wouldn't come for dinner again, very mid selection (it's on the ocean, why aren't there more seafood options?).

We came in town from Arizona and made reservations for our 25th wedding anniversary. We asked for a table with a view on the patio. The restaurant was easy to find had plenty of parking when we walked in. We were greeted by the lovely hostesses with a smile. Our table was ready very quickly and was the perfect view of the entire bay. Our server was fantastic. Super sweet made suggestions. We did an appetizer with a bottle of wine to start. For dinner, my husband did the a lobster BLT with bisque and he said it was absolutely incredible . I myself did the fish and chips which is a signature choice of mine. I will say that these were the best fish and chips I've ever had. They were light and crispy not greasy and just a beautifully cooked cod They treated us for our anniversary with a dessert of our choice in which we chose the Mudd pie again can't go wrong. It was out of this world... so good. I'm so glad we chose to celebrate here. It will be a memory. We won't forget.

Had a road trip with my wife to San Diego and I just had to show her C Level. Of course, we had a dinner reservation (highly recommended) and this was one of the spots I wanted to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Parking this time around changed a bit, the front couple rows were reserved for valet parking only. The last two rows were for self parking. Although valet was quite empty at around 7:30PM on a Saturday, it was kind of weird to see that any empty with plenty of people waiting for self parking spots to open up. I believe a better balance of self parking and valet parking would help wonders with parking situation. It's free to self park which is a nice plus. We got seated pretty quickly with a reservation, you can have a choice of outdoor seating (patio style) or indoor. Luckily, we got a table right by the indoor window which had a nice view to the ocean and a beautiful view of the city skyline of San Diego. My wife was pretty interested in most of the menu items, but I had recommend the Crispy Calamari, Seafood Pappardelle Pasta, and the Parmesan Chicken Piccata. All three dishes were for us to share, perfect amount of dishes to share between each other. -- Crispy Calamari -- Excellent App to start the meal, portions aren't too big which is ideal in a way. Calamari is crispy, not hard to chew, and very savory in a way. It comes with a dipping sauce that is pretty tasty and adds tons of flavor to the crisp. Highly recommend as the dish came out pretty quickly. (9/10) -- Seafood Pasta -- Star of the show I'd say. Filled with scallops, fish, mussels, shrimp, tomatoes, flakes, garlic, pesto cream, it's just full of flavor. Portions is pretty huge for this dish which made it the perfect dish to share. My wife and I absolutely loved the pasta itself. Not super salty and a perfect dish overall. One of our favorite pastas ever. (100/10) -- Parmesan Chicken Piccata -- Filled with roasted artichokes, tomatoes, mashed potatoes, broccolini, it was the perfect dish to pair with the pasta. Underrated part about this dish is the mashed potatoes. Super soft, not too salty, and perfect bite with the chicken. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly, not tough at all. Overall an amazing dish. (9/10) Our service was absolutely astounding. Our server, (Shawn) was tremendous. I've never had a staff check up on us so many times in a meal, and was super attentive, had perfect timing, and just super natural. Not too much but not too little. Perfection. To conclude the meal, our server brought us a complimentary birthday dessert to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife had no idea which completed a wonderful surprise. What a wonderful experience and just extremely happy with how the meal turned out. C Level has always have excellent quality food, service, and vibe is just immaculate. This time was no different and will always be a spot my wife and I visit whenever we're down in the San Diego area.

Another spot I like just for their views and aesthetic. Would not see myself returning. Service was the most minimum and slow. Alcoholic drinks took forever and were not tasty. Not memorable for myself or anyone in my party.

Missed dineLA but was able to catch San Diego Restaurant Week on the last two days! C Level was one of the restaurants we were able to snag a reservation on a Saturday evening. The ambience is super nice, especially at night! We were able to get a table outside just by the sea and it was quite romantic. I would say this is their biggest selling point. There was one thing about the SDRW experience that left me with mixed feelings. I'm not sure if it was an error or if it was intentional. We opted for the $50 per person restaurant week menu and purchased cocktails in addition to our meal. While looking at the selected appetizers, the sesame crusted brie caught our eye and we saw that it could be substituted at an additional cost. Our server had mentioned that it was one of his favorite things to order, so we trusted him on that! We were originally going to order (2) lobster bisques, but then we decided to order (1) lobster bisque and pay an additional charge for the sesame crusted brie, since our server sold it so well to us. Out of curiosity, I decided to see how much cheaper the brie was compared to what they were charging on the regular menu. To my surprise, there was no difference! Majority of the restaurants that I've been to would have charged extra but not at the same price of what they're charging on a regular menu....to me, it did not make sense for us to lose a lobster bisque from the SDRW menu when we were essentially paying for the brie as an extra dish. Luckily, I caught that as soon as the waiter walked away, so we were able to call him over and make that change... Lobster Bisque was fantastic. So glad we were able to get our own and didn't have to share! So creamy good. We enjoyed the sesame crusted brie, but I did wish there was some sort of seasoning on the crusted part...but that was just my preference. We still finished and enjoyed all the brie. For entrees, we got the ahi tuna and salmon poke and the healthy skirt on fire salad. Fish on the poke was fresh, but nothing stood out from usual poke bowl I could get anywhere else. The skirt steak on the other hand was quite flavorful, however, some pieces were a bit dry but it wasn't unbearable. For dessert, we opted for a vanilla creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake! It was an interesting touch to have candied ginger as a topping to the creme brulee, and you can't ever go wrong with finishing up the meal with some chocolate cake. Their cocktails were fantastic! We got the Ticket to Paradise and French Riveria and they were pretty strong and tasty. Overall, their ambience is what sells, and I can see why people come back for it. I wasn't too impressed by the entrees, but enjoyed everything else. Maybe if we picked the other selections offered for SDRW, it would have been more suitable to us.

Always a great place to have lunch or dinner. The view of the water is amazing. Food is really good and the wait staff is always great. Today I had my absolute favorite Healthy Skirts On Fire Salad. It was delicious as always. We also had the fish & chips and the lobster bisque. Everything was great. This is a great place to bring out of town family & friends. You won't regret it. Also a great photo opportunity with the San Diego harbor as a backdrop. It's a bit pricey but worth the trip.

Island Prime's Lobster Bisque -- Butter-poached lobster, sherry, brioche croutons. Rich and highly praised.

It is small in quantity but if feeds 2 people easily. * Crab Cakes - the crab cakes are good they do have a nice crispy texture on the outside but the inside is tender and packed with your normal Crab Cakes flavors. Not a bad choice. It was fresh and the portions are above average. * Balboa Rolll - somehow this roll with so many different flavors and textures went so well together. Cuddos to the chef for this one. The scallions on top changed the entire roll. I really loved this one. Would definitely order it again. Portion size was larger than the average roll. * Overstuffed Bacon & Eggs - this one was crazy!! It's literally a tower of deviled egg yoke with bacon, bits of celery and paprika on top. This was my least favorite only because the amount of yoke compared to the actual egg you get didn't add up. Once the egg is gone you're left with a mountain of egg yoke. It's way to much for my taste. The yoke also seemed a little dry and pasty. For deviled egg lovers this is a dream come true. * Skirt Steak & Eggs - wife said it was really good and the red chimichiri complimented the steak just right. The portions were large, the steak was juicy and cooked perfecrly to her request. With skillet fried smahed potatoes and toasted buttered bread. Very good option for steak lovers. Service: The staff was great from the check-in booth to the waiter everyone did such a great job and was so polite. I couldn't help notice that everyone was smiling and super helpful. This is a great team working at that restaurant. Bar tenders were on top of drinks which was nice to get your drink shortly after ordering. Atmosphere: It's an ocean side restaurant or should I say on the ocean restaurant with wall to wall windows showing the ocean and the beautiful San Diego landscape. Really enjoyed the area and activities. Price: The appitizers were above average prices but hey!! Totally worth it. It ranged from $16-$30 per dish, its really not too bad for the quality of food and service. Location: It's located in Seaport Village which has so many different places to try and plenty of businesses to walk and find some really cool things. Parking: It's a pay to park lot but we found parking fairly easy but it is pricey to park there. I think we paid $24 for a couple of hours.

The staff is all so friendly and fun which is a huge plus. The view is also spectacular for the cherry on top. My go-to dish is the chicken sandwich, but when I'm feeling fancy the Seabass is always delicious. Don't sleep on this spot! Shorebird rules!

Truly, our service was what one always hopes for in fine dining for but so rarely receives these days. Our primary did an excellent job helping us select our meal. She was attentive, supportive and a pleasure to talk with, yet also discreet. Plates were well-timed. Our water glasses always seemed to be full although I rarely noticed it happening. All of our entrees were delicious. Favorites? Probably, first, the Hokkaido Scallop starter. The scallops themselves were huge, perfectly cooked with a crusted chili crunch topping and served with a delicious miso butter sauce. Not overly spicy, the flavors meshed perfectly. I also loved the Miso Black Cod (especially because it's a dish one can rarely find near the East Coast where we live.) Any misses? Not really, although the Pâté de Campagne was prepared as very rustic. It was tasty but I found it difficult to eat with the bread, Overall, I recommend Juniper and Ivy as a great place to celebrate an event, enjoy a date, or just have an excellent evening dinner away from the house.

It's just a shame the experience came with a few caveats. We requested the patio, drawn in by descriptions of a vibrant, lively porch. What we got was four tables, a persistent wind tunnel, and a front-row seat to the San Diego flight path, meaning every few minutes, conversation came to a full stop for a low-flying plane. No warning from the restaurant, which felt like a miss. Inside next time, without question. The menu itself was a little overwhelming at first, but our server stepped in with confident suggestions that completely redeemed the experience. And then the food arrived. The house sourdough with Mikolich Farm honey butter was the kind of bread course that makes you reconsider every other bread course. The shio tang oysters with mojito foam and cucumber relish were playful and precise. The three cheese tortellini, wild porcini, english peas, aged parm brodo, was the standout of the night: rich, deeply layered, and deeply comforting. The saffron bigoli and miso black cod were both beautifully executed. We paired everything with a Russian River Valley Pinot that was an ideal match for the table. Bottom line: the kitchen is firing on all cylinders. Sit inside, trust your server, and order the tortellini. You won't regret it.

Wasn't tooooo much looking forward to it, but it fit all the Birthday Dinner check marks and you can't down talk a place if you haven't been there. First. Listen. Everyone's using open table. But Fort Oak, tell Open Table to chill. I used open table to reserve about 4 days in advance, but still got a TON of emails, and a ton of notifications. Including one that, if I didn't respond to it, would cancel my reservation. Then 3 follow ups asking me to review Fort Oak. Haysuse on a pogo stick, that was almost a detractor from the actual dinner. Is this dinner or a past due bill sent to collection agency? I digress. First, our waiter Johny E, phenomenal. Dude knows wine in ways that are supernatural. Spot on recommendations. Second. Put on your Pulp Fiction "5 dollar shake" face about a 50 dollar pork chop. A FIFTY DOLLAR PORK CHOP. Waiter, who had already proven he know WTF was what, simply said "we're known for it, you will probably enjoy, people rave about it". So, I mean, when in Rome. Johny wasn't lying. It's a pretty @#$#ing good pork chop. Color me amazed. You can be skeptical. You might say I was just trying to justify having spent 50 on a pork chop. Try it. Stunning. I don't know if it's the best I ever had, but I can't remember a better one. Over all, they nail the experience, the food, and wrap it up in a bow. It is always busy, so a reservation is best (I'd call vice using that @#$# open table app, I swear). Shout out about Johny - in fact, ask for him to be your waiter, he a star.

However, we were seated on the outdoor patio which was spacious enough (and dog friendly). The decor was also beautiful! Now for what we ordered: - Ahi Tartare: we weren't planning to get this, but the server recommended. This was fantastic. The crispy shallot added a good amount of crunch, and the brioche it was served with was buttered and toasted to perfection. A standout dish for us - Little Gem Salad: not a must get, but delicious nonetheless. I loved the whipped feta and ranch in this - Goat Milk Cavatelli: soooo good. The sausage in this is really yummy and nicely paired with the charred broccoli. I'd recommend this one - Branzino: delicious. Comes de-boned which is appreciated, and is deliciously flaky. Get this! - NY Strip: ok I know I've said "get this" for basically everything....but seriously get this one. The presentation is beautiful and the squash, bone marrow, and everything else on top were very tasty. This was our favorite dish!
