Beautiful setting for a beautiful view. We went for Happy Hour based on times posted online, but the bartender stated it was over, definitely recommend checking on official status. I hope the business updates online info, and considers extending the hours, we were there before 6PM. We ordered a couple drinks as we were trying out different spots. I still got the Passion Fruit Martini and it was good, my friend ordered the Scratch Margarita and was not impressed. I took a sip and agreed, it was not something I would order, and for the price, it fell short of taste and hype from the description.

Second time coming in. Great view definitely a place you bring ppl visiting from out of town. Love the new renovation. Both times I've come the service was ok. You kinda have to wave them down when you need something. my husband ordered a second beer they brought the bottle over and didn't open it so he had to wave someone down. For the price you're paying for the food the service should be up there as well. Food is ok nothing really stands out. Couple items on the menu were out! On the march madness weekend!?!? which I thought they would over prepare for. I ended up getting the balboa roll, my husband got the fish and chips. I was super bummed the seabass was out. I ordered a mocktail the server mentioned would be sweet but it was more on the tart side. Overall cute place, but we live somewhere with better options.

Beautiful Bay views! On top of the water! Ask for a seat on the South side next to glass. Far corner table is the best! Unobstructed views! Perfect Sunset dinner. 5 stars! Tip: ask for salt and pepper. Food was really good. I had the toasted chicken and risotto. Moist and creamy! Avocado fries were fresh and lightly fried. Needed a bit of salt Garlic Nigir was fresh and phenomenal I will literally go back for more. It was perfectly made. Fish and chips were really good. Fish was tender. I would eat it again. The coffee was amazing! They serve real coffee not some pot just sitting my Mom and I loved it and if you love carrot cake it was soooo good! Large enough piece to share. The picture does not do it justice! Large drink menu with wines. Check out my videos! Great place to take guests! Get a reservation online. It is a smaller spot. We had great service.

Always wanted to try this place for brunch. It's good not great, but you will have one of the best view of the harbor. Recommend making reservations, Food order: Tempura Shrimp And Snake river farm hamburger with onions rings, they forgot the bacon on our burger. A little under seasoned on the patty Service was slow for being one of the first table there in the morning

This nice little restaurant on the water was amazing. We made reservations but there weren't too many people on a Friday afternoon. Service was fast and prompt. We ordered the crab cakes Benedict and chicken sandwich. I think the only thing holding this place back is the price as it averages 30 per person.

We were genuinely excited to hear that Shorebird was coming to San Diego since we've always loved their Newport location but this experience was a huge letdown. The food was honestly disappointing. The roll had no taste that we left more than half, and the oysters were shockingly small, about the size of a nail bed. It just didn't live up to the quality I was expecting at all. Service didn't help either. Our servers had little to no knowledge of the menu, which made the experience even more frustrating. We eventually moved to the bar hoping things would improve, and while the service was slightly better there (thanks to who I believe was the bar manager), it still didn't make up for everything else. Overall, really disappointed. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

Came here for brunch to celebrate my friends birthday. This place was literally over the water on a pier at seaport village area and had really good photo ops nice views of the Coronado bridge. The food was really good everything we ordered was made fresh and very tasty! Our server was prompt and friendly and would check on us often.

Went for a brunch at Shorebird and had some of the most delicious food OMG! The service was incredible and very polite, as for the venue the view is stunning! The ambiance is professional to the "T"

Ambiance..cute place with amazing view. Love the decor Service..was fine..not reay excited to be there and kind of walked away before we could ask something Foos..got lemon ricotta blueberry hot cakes..they were more like pancakes more sweet and not much h lemon flavor but still good.

Shorebird Restaurant is actually really special to us. My husband and I came here for our second date back in 2017 when it was still called the Pier Café, so it holds a lot of memories. Back then, the food was fresh, clean, and delicious and honestly, we were a little nervous to come back after the change in ownership. But it did not disappoint at all. If anything, we felt like it was even better than before. The food was so good that we've already started recommending it to all our friends. Our waiter was funny and really helpful, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was romantic and elegant, even during lunch. Just a heads up, the menu changes depending on the time of day, which is a nice touch and gives us another reason to come back and try more.

The fish and chips alone make Shorebird a 5/5! The batter was flavorful and fried perfectly. The portions are generous, and the fish itself was so fresh and delicious! It comes with an assortment of sauces, which all tasted like they were made in-house including their ketchup! As a ranch girlie, I'm pleased to inform you that theirs was fantastic. Fries were crisp and well seasoned too! The view was beautiful, service was great (shout out Miguel), and food was delish. What more could you ask for??

We had a show at the Shell and have been wanting to try this restaurant since they revamped the location. We had an amazing time here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Our server was WONDERFUL! She was attentive, sweet and chatty. The food was really good too. Here's what we ordered: Overstuffed deviled eggs- holy cow. A bit too much yellow for me but once I scraped some off, they were so yummy. Caesar salad- we shared this and it was a perfect size. The fresh anchovies were delicious. Burger- my husband said this was super yummy. Chilean sea bass- love sea bass and this one did not disappoint. The risotto was rich and creamy and the fish was flaky and very tasty. We will certainly return!

Overpriced champagne bottle

Dining at Shorebird was a positive experience. Love that the restaurant is right on the water and had huge windows as to not block the gorgeous view. It could get really bright (and hot) at around 12-3pm but that's the price you pay for living in Sunny San Diego! Our waiter was nice & attentive as well as the other employees we came in contact with. The menu had a lot of different choices, but not too much where you can hardly decide. Nice mix of everything. We opted for the crab cakes as a starter which came w/2 medium sized cakes & veggies. Really good choice! Got the avocado mushroom omelette (vegetarian option) which was delicious and oh so fresh. Definitely enough to share as it did come with potatoes & 2 pcs of sourdough toast. We also got the souffle pancakes which came w/3 stacks. This was kind of disappointing cause we've had souffle pancakes before and this was not it. Not to say the pancakes weren't good, it was just not souffle. Another reason to knock down the review a few points is cause they charged $53.00 a bottle for a $17.00 champagne bottle... Yes we still ordered it, but man that's highway robbery. Won't make that mistake again. Everything else was fairly priced for the quality of the food, but man, settle down with the alcohol prices!

I was disappointed in the baked eggs, as I really didn't get much egg out of it. I shared it with my husband and while it did have a lot of flavors, it was overwhelmingly chickpeas and tomato sauce for me. The sourdough bread was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. We ordered the simple breakfast with bacon for our son because they don't have a kids menu and it was perfect for him. Located in Gaslamp, street parking is your best bet. For most spots, you have to pay metered parking until 10 p.m. I was able to find an exception to the rule around 8:30 p.m. Ambiance (3/5): Werewolf is a pretty laid back bar. Which is right up my alley. This happened to be karaoke night. This may be an unpopular option but I'm not a fan of karaoke. If you are, you're golden. I would've enjoyed the ambiance a bit better on a standard night. We sat at a wooden booth in the back of the restaurant. Service (3/5): You order at the bar (both food and drinks). They were fairly busy on a Wednesday and only two bartenders were working. As a result, service was a bit slow. After placing my order, I closed out. Their cocktail list doesn't list prices. Not a fan of that. I asked the bartender how much some particular cocktails cost, and he didn't go. Not a good look. Drinks (4/5): Werewolf has an interesting list of craft cocktails. Plus a full bar. Just list your cocktail prices on the menu! Food (4.5/5): The food is surprisingly quite good. I went with the wings appetizer (and made them sticky for a dollar extra). Sweet with a little kick. The wings were fried just right with a crispy exterior and juicy inside. Finger-lickin' good! I also couldn't say no to papas balls lol. This appetizer is their version of hushpuppies. Taken to a higher level. Stuffed with mashed tater, bacon, cilantro, cotija, and drizzled with house sauce. Normally, papas balls would scare me, but these are scrumptious. The two appetizers combined were filling for a full meal.

No warning from the restaurant, which felt like a miss. Inside next time, without question. The menu itself was a little overwhelming at first, but our server stepped in with confident suggestions that completely redeemed the experience. And then the food arrived. The house sourdough with Mikolich Farm honey butter was the kind of bread course that makes you reconsider every other bread course. The shio tang oysters with mojito foam and cucumber relish were playful and precise. The three cheese tortellini, wild porcini, english peas, aged parm brodo, was the standout of the night: rich, deeply layered, and deeply comforting. The saffron bigoli and miso black cod were both beautifully executed. We paired everything with a Russian River Valley Pinot that was an ideal match for the table. Bottom line: the kitchen is firing on all cylinders. Sit inside, trust your server, and order the tortellini. You won't regret it.
