I ordered the following below: *Korean Prime Skirt Steak: 5/5 - I asked for my skirt steak medium rare and man was it cooked so well. Underneath was fried rice,bok choy, veggies and a nice creamy Korean sauce . The sauce really complimented the steak and fried rice really well. I was very pleased on how the steak was juicy and tender ! *Braised Short Rib: 2/5 - Don't get me wrong i love me some good braised short ribs, however, these were very disappointing. Most of the meat was covered by fat, the portion size was insanely small considering its an entree. I was so sad that this place did not shine honestly! I came here with coworkers in town for a work event and we were so excited to try this place! The menu has a good selection and a few gluten free items all clearly marked which is appreciated! The server was friendly and we were seated right away which I always appreciate when I have a reservation! The vibes are lovely very fun atmosphere but the sea breeze does get a tad cold in the evening so be warned if you sit on the patio! Onto the food. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and their chicken dish for my meal. The shrimp was good nothing special and honestly saved my meal a bit. The chicken I ordered was so dry! The sauce wasn't my favorite but the dry chicken just was terrible to try and eat. My chicken came with fries that were good just very very salty. Better late than never- this review is solely for the pre-fixe menu offered at the Henry on Valentine's Day 2026. The Henry has been a staple in Coronado for a while and this is the first time we've tried it. It didn't disappoint! The vibes were high on Valentine's Day & although we had to wait a little longer than expected with reservations, it didn't kill the mood. All staff members were smiling and were nice. Our waiter was equally as nice & helpful with our menu questions. The Henry offered a 3 course pre-fix menu priced at $85 a person which is a great deal since other restaurants were offering the same for $100+ a person. Their menu offered a lot of the faves from their regular menu per our waiter. Even if it was a pre-fixe menu, there were a lot choices! Felt like their entire menu was on there, which was appreciated. It was lively out in the patio, but not annoyingly so. Wasn't as "romantic" as I expected, maybe cause there were a couple of TVs to the side of us. First dishes we tried were: Smoked Salmon & Caviar 5/5 Perfect app to start with, very shareable. Also had the Short Rib Potstickers and those were perfect as well! The sauce was the difference. Main dishes we tried were the Braised Short Rib & the Chateau Filet "Oscar Style" [Additional $20]. The Braised short Rib's sauce (kind of like the pot stickers) were really good. That's what set this Short Rib apart from the other ones I've tried. I didn't get tired of it while the mushrooms were such a happy surprise (cause I didnt read the menu) lol The Filet was good in it's own right. Kinda weird how they cut it though. The cuts were not proportioned at all. Not sure if that was a technique, but it just looked weird. Cooked medium-ish. The center was a little undercooked, but everything else was fine. For dessert, we chose the lemon olive oil cake - ah this one was soooo stinking good, I finished it all! That's surprising because the dessert was a full on dish. Thought we'd only get a portion since it was a 3 course meal, but nope, it was a full dessert. My lady had the Chocolate Fudge Pie which again was really good in it's own right, but my dessert was better :) The Henry is a great restaurant. Will come back to try their brunch! This is one of the prettiest places I have been to in a while. Food & Drink: We were here for brunch, and their brunch menu did not disappoint. I absolutely love their Avocado tasks, simple yet flavorful. The umami Brussels sprouts were the star of the table, though. My wife and I had gifted my parents this past Christmas with an experiential gift where our gift was to take them anywhere they wanted to go to eat lunch or dinner, grab dessert, and hang out with us while we serve as their Uber. The Henry is located on Coronado Island and can be reached either by taking the Coronado Bridge or driving down the Silver Strand making sure that you're on the main drag Orange Avenue. The restaurant is between C Avenue and 10th Street, it is just south of Clayton's Coffee Shop, on the same side as Bay Books and Moo Time ice cream, next to Francaise, and it's across the street from Geppetto's. Parking is mainly street parking, so you might have to park far especially on the weekend. Highly suggest you make reservations because The Henry is a popular restaurant. There is plenty of seating at the restaurant and it can easily accommodate large groups. You can either sit inside or sit outside and people watch. The outdoor round tables are made of marble, there's outdoor umbrella seating, there is high top tables, bar seating, indoor booth seating, and indoor wooden high top tables with leather seats. The decor is modern and old school at the same time with a beautiful painted mural, a wall of framed pics, black and white pics, decorative light fixtures, and an open kitchen that you can peep through a glass partition. The staff is friendly and our server provided good service, but I wished he checked on us more often. Our reservation was at 11:30am, so we were eating during the brunch and lunch hour. The menu included brunch choices, appetizers, salads, and entrees. Since this dining excursion was a Christmas gift for my parents, we wanted to make this special for them. For our appetizers, we ordered the Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice and the Pretzels & Provolone Fondue. The spicy tuna & crispy rice comes with fresno chile, avocado, cilantro, scallion, and sweet soy. That was really fresh and tasty, but know that it only comes with 5 pieces, so order double for a party of six or more. The pretzels & provolone fondue come with large round balls of pretzels that you dip in the cheesy fondue. I really enjoyed that appetizer because of the hearty round pretzels and when dipped, they were really yummy. The star of my meal was my entree, which was the Wagyu Cheeseburger. It comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, charred onion, white cheddar, american cheese, henry sauce, and fries. The bread is a toasted bun and when I took my very first bite, I knew I was going to enjoy it. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and with that first bite, I can tell that The Henry serves quality food, which was evident by that burger and the two appetizers we consumed. Lovely dinner here with a group of friends on a Friday night. I recommend making a reservation because when we got here I'd look like there were some people waiting. But the place was nice and spacious and had a lovely aesthetic on the outside as well. Food was also a 10 on 10! Everything looked amazing and we had a really hard time picking what to get! This place has excellent staff and customer service, we came as a walk in and the hostess let us know it was about an hour wait but also offered to check bar if we were open to it. She said she had openings since we were okay with sitting there and we got in right away. Henry oh Henry, where were you all of my life? It took my coworker and I, a nursing conference at the Hotel del Coronado, in order to stumble upon you. After a few recommendations and a personal walk, to which we got to experience the massive lines that overflowed onto the sidewalk, it was worth the wait! For an appetizer, we ordered the spicy tuna and crispy rice. The balance of sweet and spicy, soft and crunchy, was excellent. The hint of the delicate, slightly sweet scallions was the cherry on top. For dinner, we shared the Korean prime skirt steak. It was perfectly seared. The fried rice with snap peas, bok choy, and pickled shiitake really balanced the richness of the steak. It was a well-executed dish. We also got the scallops and gnocchi with asparagus. The scallops were well cooked without being rubbery. The gnocchi were pan fried to perfection. The white sauce base was countered with the zesty vibrance of lemons. It was so delicious, I mopped up every single drop of it. Overall, they have gone a step beyond what I consider standard American flare. The addition of Asian elements was incorporated well into the dishes we received. The servers checked in on us a fair amount, especially for how busy they were with the other patrons. Ambience was pleasant, slightly too dark, and a little on the noisy side. I've been wanting to come for a while now to try their Ahi Tuna. Sadly, it's only available for weekday lunch. Our server was not great. He never checked on us the whole meal, had an obvious fake smile on, was not patient, and had attitude when we asked questions. I got the vinaigrette on the side since I don't like vinegar. Unfortunately, the salad was really bland and boring without the dressing. I ended up using the ponzu from the potstickers and it saved the whole salad! They should look into switching the dressing on the menu. This visit was for my bestie's birthday and we had a party of 7. When I arrived at 5:45p our reservation table was not ready yet. The hostesses said that they would have it ready closer to 6p (the reservation time). I walked away to the corner and found a seat at The Francaise outside in one of their comfortable Adirondack patio chairs..as I was not offered a Henry patio seat, nor one at the Henry bar while I waited...rude. About 7 minutes later, one of my besties texted me that the table was ready. I walked back and the hostesses took me to our reservation table. Eventually our party all showed up and we were all seated and ready by 6:15p. Our server was Sterling. He was super customer service oriented and very professional. We ordered: Umami Brussels Sprouts, Pretzel Fondue, and Parmesan Truffle Fries as appetizers for the table. Our dinner entrees were: 4 braised short ribs, 1 Roasted chicken avocado salad, 1 Scottish Salmon, 1 Skirt Steak, and another dish. Everyone enjoyed the food. My Braised Short Rib entree had a large fatty piece and that was unfortunate. I still enjoyed the meal. Came upon The Henry while taking a stroll through the town, while we were initially going for brunch we arrived around 10:45 and was told by the hostess that they'll seat us closer to 11 as they were doing a lunch switch. We didn't mind that at all- a quick 10 minute stroll and we got the alert our table was ready. And WOW, we arrived just in time because shortly after 11 the seats filled up quickly. The decor itself is eye catching, but the food and service take it to another level. We had the honor of having Sophie as our server, and she was so kind and attentive. All of which were great for sharing for two people, they even split the bolognese before bringing it to us. Put our name on wait list (an hour and a half) a gave hostess my phone number and she said she'd notify me if either the bar or a table opened first. She never did - saw lots of parties our size (3) get seated at the bar before us. When I politely expressed my frustration (after 75 min), a different host just said there weren't any openings - NOT TRUE! read more

My friend suggested this place when he found out we were going to the Hotel Del. He lives in Nashville and told me he was completely stoked that they just opened one in Nashville too! He told me the Bolognese and the short rib potstickers were incredible... So that's what I did .... I don't even like potstickers, but these were incredible!! I am more of a pretzels and fondue type of person. (which we also had) it's amazing to me the amount of flavor they have packed into these little potstickers, really, really good. The bottoms were charred and chewy!!! The pretzels and fondue were also quite tasty. The Bolognese was pretty good, did not change my life like the potstickers. Other people had the filet mignon the seared Ahi tuna.... All good reports. See receipt Now the desserts were back to changing lives again ... especially the molten butter cake!! The Henry - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Coronado, California

We enjoyed The Henry on an early evening while visiting the Coronado resort & beach. So easy to park early in the day and then just throw the stuff in the car and head to dinner. We had a reservation as we watched how crowded the area becomes as the sun goes down in early January. Nice friendly service, well crafted cocktails. I'm remembering that we loved the salad that we split as an app, but my seared tuna chop was meh. Braised short rib, excellent as was the molten butter cake. For the area it's a solid choice and certainly a lot going on with the folks waiting on the street and TV's with lots of activity on them. read more
