Food: Guacamole (8/10) - Wasn't too salty and came in a good sharable portion. I liked it! The chips felt fresh too. Umami Brussels Sprouts (10/10) - The best Brussels sprouts I've had in San Diego so far! They had a nice crisp to them and weren't too oily or anything, but had a LOT of flavor, which I love. It didn't just taste dry and salty like Brussels sprouts sometimes can. Definitely one of my favorites. Molten Butter Cake (10/10) - This dessert is an angel food cake with pretzel toffee and caramel inside, then it goes in the oven to get warm before being brought out and topped with vanilla bean gelato and caramel. It was so well balanced. It looked really sweet, but because of how balanced all the flavors were, it didn't actually taste overly sweet. I don't even like caramel and it was SO good in this. The outside was soft, and the toffee and pretzel inside gave it a nice crunch. I really liked the combination of the soft cake with the crunchy pretzel toffee. Wagyu Cheeseburger with fries (8.5/10) - The patty had a smoky, grilled type of flavor that was really yummy. It was a good portion and was made really well. The fries were also a decent addition as a side choice. Egg Sandwich (8.5/10) - Pretty basic, but really well made and put together. The bun was a bit toasted, so it wasn't super soft and had a slight crispness to it, which I liked. The flavors were really well balanced and it was honestly so good. Service: The best service! Even when it wasn't a staff member in charge of our table, we were frequently checked on and everyone was super attentive and conversational, which made the experience a lot more personal and better. I love being able to share a laugh and have a conversation with the staff. The staff member responsible for our table was Heider, and he was super attentive, helpful, conversational, and patient. We also loved meeting Sasha! She's super nice and conversational as well. Thank you for having us! Ambiance: Such a nice restaurant inside and outside. Hey guys, The Big Gorger here, Ms Gorger and I went on a lovely date night to this restaurant to gorge. I must say, it DID NOT disappoint at all. Make sure if you do go here to GET A RESERVATION! To start our night, we decided to both get Spritzes for drinks and those both were great. Had to get the Pretzel & Cheese as well as a nice Caesar salad to gorge as an appetizer. These both were delicious items. You could definitely share the pretzels for 4 people but for 2 people it was a little much but you know the big gorger will always mow down anything in front of him. Now what I am saying next is something that might shock you and I don't think anyone has ever reviewed before. The croutons in this Caesar salad were the best I've ever had. I don't think I'd ever say that about croutons but I wanted a whole bag of them. I decided to grab the pasta (added chicken). The sauce and flavor were so gorgeous and tasted amazing. Ms Gorger had the short rib and that was delicious as well. The flavor, the portions, the taste, everything was amazing and to perfection. Came in for breakfast and sat at the bar. Probably the most rude bartender I've ever seen in my life. Idk her name but she made it seems like we were a hindrance to her and her day. Restaurant and bar were half full and she was chatting with her coworkers, so it's not because she was busy. Food was good but got the eggs Benedict and my poached egg came out over medium, they were quick to put in the food order but waited nearly 10 minutes for a new egg so my food went cold. The other bartender ended up finished out taking care of us but for a higher end, well known establishment I am surprised. As I typed this, the general manager came to ask how our experience was. Emilio was very kind and listened to my complaints. He righted the situation and honestly, because of him, I can't wait to give this place another try! We came to celebrate a birthday and they left a heart warming card! We had reservations, which they sat us down right away. We tried their frozen spritz that was delicious. It stayed in the slushy consistency as it took a while to drink. When our food came out it was warm and delicious. This was my first time having the wagyu cheeseburger. The restaurant was big, beautiful, and had a really nice atmosphere! The food was just as good as we remembered. I honestly don't remember everything we ordered, but I do remember that we enjoyed it! Our service was also great, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The only downside was parking--it was a little tough to find a spot, but I guess that's to be expected in this area. Henry's was one of the highlights of our Coronado vacation. The food was amazing, and the service was truly first-class from start to finish. We're especially glad we met Chef Isaac, who recommended Henry's. We're so thankful we took his advice and gave it a try! You can tell everything is made fresh and prepared with care. It was good I guess. The eggs were fluffy. The potato had a phenomenal texture. The bacon also had an unrealistically even crisp to it. I've driven past this joint so many times, and it always seems slammed. I finally strolled in at mid-morning on a cloudy Friday, and it was still quite busy. It took almost half an hour to get my food. And I thought the portion was kinda small. Aside from that, I don't know, this place seems.....too generically middle class American for me. I can't imagine being impressed by the flavor of anything served here, but I can't call anything bad either. Wait, yes I can. I loved that you can see into the kitchen through a glass wall separating it from the dining room -- it adds a fun and modern touch to the experience. Service seemed to vary depending on who was helping you. I wouldn't describe it as especially warm, but it was efficient. The drinks were excellent, and they offer a great selection of coffee options as well. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. We only ordered one dish to split, and some parts were fantastic. The hollandaise sauce was delicious, and both the potatoes and side salad were very good. However, the English muffin underneath was a disappointment -- it didn't seem toasted at all and lacked any color or texture. Since the muffin is a key part of the dish, it left me feeling a little underwhelmed overall. This hostess, a young woman with brownish hair wearing cowboy boots this day told me the wait is 40m. I was fine with that. I was texted that my table was ready only 15m later. When I walked back to the restaurant, a couple with a big dog with no reservations got seated quickly. The hostess proceeded to ignore me and helped the person who was standing behind me. Either the hostess is partly blind or shes terrible at her job. Also, when I left, an elderly woman was putting her walker to the side, but sorta blocked the entrance. This rude hostess couldn't wait for the elderly woman to push her walker aside and just walked straight through with no regards to elderly folks. She could have done the polite thing, waiting until the old woman was done. That's just bad manners. That really bothers me. The inside of this place is very nice and the theme is fun and classy. My server was excellent. He was attentive and even cared for my dogs. I love that this place allow dogs inside and outside at the patio. This place is very spacious. The seats outside at the patio, however, was tight. Its very crowded. The neat thing is they have a bakery you can order from and sit at one of the patio tables thats in the scorching sun. I ordered their henry house salad. That's a nice salad. I also got a wagyu burger protein style. I chose coleslaw with it. The coleslaw was very delicious. I think the burger can use a little bit more flavor but still a fantastic burger. Id like to try other things next time. I think this place gets a solid 4 but since the host annoyed the crap out of me, it really lessened a would be great experience. People should be kind and respectful to the elderly. read more

The harvest bowl salad is a mixture of roasted squash, quinoa and greens plus glazed sweet nuts among the crunchy greens. Butter pasta with grilled chicken for the toddler. Excellent braised short ribs over smooth mashed potatoes- tender and tasty. The Chilean sea bass was unfortunately a tad overdone and dry, but the manager generously comped this dish. We finished off the dinner with an amazingly delicious gooey molten butter cake that was topped with a pour of caramel. Street parking was packed for a late dinner (past 8 pm) but we snagged one just in time for our reservation. Hand crafted cocktails Paloma and High life also great. We enjoyed the open kitchen, the high ceilings, the breeze and the comfort! We didn't have reservations and it was Mother's Day weekend so we expected to wait and I'm glad we did. I had a delicious granola bowl, a few people in my group had the Eggs Benedict on the house-made English muffins (so good) and there was a very happy avocado toast in the mix. I ordered the following below: *Korean Prime Skirt Steak: 5/5 - I asked for my skirt steak medium rare and man was it cooked so well. Most of the meat was covered by fat, the portion size was insanely small considering its an entree. Not much veggies or sides to compliment this meal very well, definitely need to redo this dish. *Pressed Yellowtail Sushi: 5/5 - Honestly the yellowtail was so fresh ! Safe to say, it did not disappoint--so let's dive right in! If you're planning a visit without a reservation, give yourself a 20- to 45-minute buffer. That was the estimated wait time when we arrived. Lucky for us, bar seating is first-come, first-served, and since we love sitting at the bar anyway, we grabbed a spot right away. They were attentive, warm, and exceptionally professional from start to finish. We kicked off our meal with a couple of specialty beverages: Pineapple & Thai Basil Soda & Pomegranate Hibiscus, both were outstanding--refreshing, crisp, and packed with flavor right out of the gate. When it came to food, we decided to explore a mix of familiar favorites and new culinary territory: Short Rib Potstickers: This was a unique experience. If you've had short ribs cooked just right, you know the meat is extremely soft and juicy--which feels a bit unexpected inside a dumpling skin at first. The soft texture took a second to get used to, but as all the elements came together, every bite got better and better. Parmesan Fries: Hands down a standout star. We declared these our all-time favorite fries: crispy, savory, and perfectly seasoned. Grilled & Chilled Shrimp: This caught us by surprise. I was so sad that this place did not shine honestly! I came here with coworkers in town for a work event and we were so excited to try this place! The menu has a good selection and a few gluten free items all clearly marked which is appreciated! The server was friendly and we were seated right away which I always appreciate when I have a reservation! The vibes are lovely very fun atmosphere but the sea breeze does get a tad cold in the evening so be warned if you sit on the patio! Onto the food. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and their chicken dish for my meal. The shrimp was good nothing special and honestly saved my meal a bit. The chicken I ordered was so dry! The sauce wasn't my favorite but the dry chicken just was terrible to try and eat. My chicken came with fries that were good just very very salty. The Henry is a great brunch spot in Coronado! While I don't come down to this area often because of how overwhelming the large tourist presence can be, it can be nice to visit during the off season. Reservations are a must. This place is crowded and even with a reservation, we had to wait a little bit for our table to be available. They have both breakfast and lunch options so you can have a true brunch with something for everyone! I lean towards lunch so I got the turkey club and it was great. First time trying The Henry. Heard a lot about it and was excited to finally go. Located in the heart of Coronado is where you'll find it. As we got there we were greeted by the hostess outside who didnt seem very thrilled to be there that night. Rather than a warm welcome, it was a blank stare with a robotic welcome. We were seated promptly however in a comfortable booth. The interior design of the restaurant was beautiful and the fact that they had large glass walls to the kitchen allowing the guest to see the chefs at work was great. The server greeted me shortly after sitting down and was very kind. He did a great job of explaining everything was quick to take my drink and appetizer order. I ordered the pretzel bites and wontons. They came our at a reasonable time and I really enjoyed them. Great taste and good portion. I then ordered my main which wad the braised beef with mashed potatoes. It should be noted that the menu is very limited. It as well came out at a reasonable time. This is when service took a nose dive right to the ground. I never saw the server again. No drink refills and no check-up to see how everything was. The braised beef dish was a big let down unfortunately. The cut they used had a lot of inedible fat in it which I pushed off the the side. The seasoning as well was underwhelming sadly. After finishing my dish, I was ready to get the bill and go, but again the server was nowhere to be found. It seemed as though all the servers were running around and I saw the managers going from table to table apologizing. I was able to flag one down and request the bill which they provided quickly. They did apologize for the wait and offered a dessert on the house. I respectfully declined as i had no time. Overall it was nice to experience The Henry, but not sure I'd return. Four of us popped in with a reservation for a high top on the patio 5/25/26. Sam Fox restaurants aren't always my go-to, but this location is an 'outlier'. Drink selection plentiful, wonderful ice-cold beer, Prime skirt steak on the salad prepared perfectly, Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich on point and two Wagyu Burgers that could not have been better - with a toasted bun, always appreciate that extra step. So often places inquire as to the cook temp on beef and miss the mark, not here. Both burgers had different temp requests, and the kitchen nailed it. Special shout out to Cassidy who took exceptional care of our party. Checked back at the perfect times, always there when we needed her but not intrusively present. Better late than never- this review is solely for the pre-fixe menu offered at the Henry on Valentine's Day 2026. The Henry has been a staple in Coronado for a while and this is the first time we've tried it. It didn't disappoint! The vibes were high on Valentine's Day & although we had to wait a little longer than expected with reservations, it didn't kill the mood. All staff members were smiling and were nice. Our waiter was equally as nice & helpful with our menu questions. The Henry offered a 3 course pre-fix menu priced at $85 a person which is a great deal since other restaurants were offering the same for $100+ a person. Their menu offered a lot of the faves from their regular menu per our waiter. Even if it was a pre-fixe menu, there were a lot choices! Felt like their entire menu was on there, which was appreciated. It was lively out in the patio, but not annoyingly so. Wasn't as "romantic" as I expected, maybe cause there were a couple of TVs to the side of us. First dishes we tried were: Smoked Salmon & Caviar 5/5 Perfect app to start with, very shareable. Also had the Short Rib Potstickers and those were perfect as well! The sauce was the difference. Main dishes we tried were the Braised Short Rib & the Chateau Filet "Oscar Style" [Additional $20]. The Braised short Rib's sauce (kind of like the pot stickers) were really good. That's what set this Short Rib apart from the other ones I've tried. I didn't get tired of it while the mushrooms were such a happy surprise (cause I didnt read the menu) lol The Filet was good in it's own right. Kinda weird how they cut it though. The cuts were not proportioned at all. Not sure if that was a technique, but it just looked weird. Cooked medium-ish. The center was a little undercooked, but everything else was fine. For dessert, we chose the lemon olive oil cake - ah this one was soooo stinking good, I finished it all! That's surprising because the dessert was a full on dish. Thought we'd only get a portion since it was a 3 course meal, but nope, it was a full dessert. My lady had the Chocolate Fudge Pie which again was really good in it's own right, but my dessert was better :) The Henry is a great restaurant. Will come back to try their brunch! The parking situation can get a little tedious, but other than that no complaints here. Thanks for a great evening yall! read more

This is one of the prettiest places I have been to in a while. Food & Drink: We were here for brunch, and their brunch menu did not disappoint. I absolutely love their Avocado tasks, simple yet flavorful. The umami Brussels sprouts were the star of the table, though. Ambiance: This place is very beautiful with the big doors that let you peek onto the street. Very spacious with enough space between tables. Definitely all the feels of an upscale spot. Service: We walked in for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Since they had a wait to get seated we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender ho srved us seemed a bit snobbish but every other peorson the staff was delightful to talk to and work with. In-all: This place has all the vibe and good food. Cannot wait to get back and try their dinner menu. read more
