Came here on a Sunday around noon. Plenty of parking all around Coronado island, just might have to walk some. There was a short line that moved quickly for the small cafe. The employee helping everyone was so kind and helpful! I ordered a strawberry matcha croissant and a bag of 6 macarons. She helped me pick out some macaron flavors and was super friendly, she made my day! The pastries were excellent. I really liked the matcha cream but there was too much strawberry jam/compote in my opinion. It was gushing out! Typically I feel that pastries don't have enough filling though so I think this is preferable to that, can always remove some extra filling if it's too much. Each macaron had a distinct unique flavor. Some were a bit hard but not sure if it's because I waited next day to eat them. The others were still perfect texture. I recently joined my wife on a visit to Coronado while she had a conference there, and upon my exploring of the area, I came across Parfait Paris a year ago. After enjoying my experience, I figured I would come back again on this trip. I ended up visiting it twice. While the service was rather good (though how fast or slow depended on the time of day, how many customers, and how many people are working) and the food itself was very tasty. On my first recent visit, I simply ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, which was filling and tasty with heavy cheese which was nice and soft and rather melted. On my second visit, I came with my wife, and she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich (a bit more melted than mine by special request), and I ordered a Hot Dog Danish, which was a July special consisting of a flaky, buttery croissant dough filled with a 100% beef frank, ketchup, Dijon mustard, crispy onions, and fresh micro basil. While the croissant and condiments were nice and warm, the hot dog could have been warmer. It was still tasty. I thought about getting a Parisian hot chocolate, but I figured I had enough of a treat just in the meal itself. The service was good though rather slow on my first visit due to only one person working (as the other person was on break). It was much faster when I came back another day and two people were working. Parfait Paris started in 2014 with the first location opening in the Gaslamp quarter. Parfait Paris brings its French savoir-faire throughout its various locations, inviting people to taste the French Art de Vivre and celebrate its Gourmet Parisian heritage. They are now known for their desserts, macarons, crepes, and pastries. They also serve drinks. This Parfait Paris location is at the Coronado Ferry Landing. There are eight locations at this time of Parfait Paris plus an online commerce site. Very tasty fruit Nutella crepes but 1. Wildly overpriced 2. Odd staff We ordered two drinks and a crepe to share. Drinks came out timely (ok drinks) but we had an awkward interaction about our order. First of all, once it was ready nobody called it out and they just placed it on the counter. When my partner approached to ask if it was ours "fruitella crepe?", cashier said "did you order Nutella crepe", my partner said yes but with fruits. Then cashier looked at the cook and asked "is it frutella?" she then looked at my partner asking what we order. He repeated himself twice but it felt like between cashier and cook they kept asking the same question over and over again. After being asked multiple times (and being the only people inside) we have established that this was our order after all. Cute little cafe spot. I got a *checks menu* mango dragonfruit energy ice sparkling tea and found it to be dangerously tasty. I got a single Oreo macaron, and it was also a delight. The texture was that perfect macaron initial slight crisp with a soft and slightly chewy interior. I was a bit hesitant about how the croissant sandwich looked. Basically, I was like, "this is not a croissant." But after the first bite, I was like, "Okay fine, I guess it's kind of a croissant." And the flavor was great of course. read more

We were craving something sweet but didn't know what was in the area. I found this spot on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. Parking was easy because it was in a shopping plaza. We walked around the numerous shops to find this spot but it wasn't hard to find at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside isn't that big but they have a counter area you can sit it. The place is super cute!! We grab brunch here and the food was really good. My only complaint was that it took a reallllllyyyyy lonnnnggggg time for us to get our three sandwiches. There was only one person that was ahead of us and no line behind us. Not sure what the hold up was. Staff were really friendly and did apologize for the long wait. The sandwiches were delicious both in comparison preferably the turkey with lettuce Combo was delicious & fresh versus the egg with a soft bread and cheese combo was saucy and delicious. The staff were nice and helped with recommendations for the comparison of the sandwiches. They had a variety of other sweets and coffees, although did not order any. Gave four stars because they were lacking in sides- chips, etc. nothing available although there was a side salad to order. Came to the area to eat at Cocina 35....they were beyond busy so we decided to walk away and get something to eat elsewhere quickly. Saw this cafe and walked in, the vibes of the people working there were very bad, they all looked upset with life. The girl that took our order at the cash register was very impatient. I asked what breakfast options do you have for kids, she just pointed at all their unhealthy sweets in the glass, I replied breakfast options for kids please not sweets, she then said we don't have a kids menu and then I asked what do kids normally get? She said anything from the menu (not very helpful at all and very much attitude of a jerk to say the least). To top things off, there was also a blonde guy with long hair (not sure if it was a girl or a guy), who had a horrible attitude from the minute we walked in all while cooking items. He kept rolling his eyes at everything and seemed irritated with life all together. I asked for my receipt after the gal left the cash register without giving it to me and he came back to the cash register and he gave it to me in a very rude manner. Later another family walked in to order, and they too had doubts on the menu without any friendly assistanace from the workers either.... the gal was taking care of this family at the cash register but blonde guy kept getting annoyed in the background at every question they asked. Suddenly that blonde guy/ girl boiled a lot and got out of the place while cursing "this f'n family" on his way out. What a joke of a place. To management; please re consider who you hire to represent your place at the front of your store. Im pretty sure the other family was extremely upset as so was I just from watching this show. Cute little cafe by the Coronado ferry area. Great selection of baked goods and hot food. Their chipotle chicken galette was a hit, savory crepe with perfect amount of chicken and greens and light and airy crepe. Their alsacien croissant was also delicious. I was about to say that no tart should cost $13 but then I started eating it and tasted an explosion of flavor. Halfway in, I realized this is a larger task than I originally thought and while I still think the price is absurd, I realize I'm also not accustomed to SD prices and will instead just give this place the 5 stars it deserves and leave it be. The staff are all super friendly and I was especially touched by how respectful they were towards customers that spoke languages other than English. This is a cute little spot for a sweet treat. I absolutely loved the coziest vibe you get when walking through the door. I'm so happy I stopped in. The amount of choices, the little bar against the wall made me want to stay and sip my coffee but the fact there are more fans as well made it impossible. I got to try their iced brown sugar shaken expresso and it was delicious! I would have loved more sugar and more cream but it was soooo good. I also bought some sweets. I wish I had known or I would have gotten one of their sandwiches. But it was awesome. The service was meh. What a cute Patisserie in the ferry building. Behind the counter was a lovely young lady who answered all my questions along with suggesting her favorites when I couldn't decide. Beautifully presented sweet ready. I went with her suggest of the Yuzu & Lemon tart. I also had to try the macarons since there was room in the pastry box: salted caramel, earl grey, chocolate noir, honey lavender, pistachio and lemon (listed in order of favorite to least). The texture and flavors of the tart were like explosions of deliciousness in my mouth. We got these to enjoy at the beach. They were a treat for the eyes first! read more

Goodness, the two girls working today seemed like they hated their job because it showed. It was not even 10:30am and they were so blah. Called out drinks with no name on them, no number, nothing. Guess they expected for people to just stay crammed in their shop waiting for their drinks/food to be made even if it takes 10+ mins. People who came back in had no idea where their drink was or WHAT their drink was. When my husband went back to pick up the lattes within 5 mins of ordering, he asked if those were the lattes, they simply said yes but didn't identify which was which so we took educated guesses since the workers appeared like they didn't want to be bothered. Not that we have any allergies but there are people that do so. Highly recommend there be a better system put in place. Anyhow, after spending an easy $74, the iced lattes were mediocre (got a chocolate Dubai and a creme brulee)... Be aware of the $1 up charge for anything that's not whole milk. We also ordered 2 turkey clubs an a savory crepe. After ordering, they said they didn't have avocados (which makes all the difference). So we opted for one to get refunded and one to add more turkey since that was an option. The club was okay, although the chipotle chicken galette was tasty. Wouldn't come back to this particular location. We're from SD but it sucks to know that tourists would possibly get this type of customer service (or lack there of) when they visit a pronounced enough place. read more

Parfait Paris isn't a huge establishment, so it can feel quite crowded in there if there's more than 4 patrons in the store. The two workers that were serving that day were very friendly. As someone who MUST try something before committing to it, I tried the mango and blood orange gelatos. I opted for a small cup of the mango-based gelato - and was happy with my choice. Came across Parfait Paris while walking around the Coronado Ferry Landing. It was a little chilly and wanted some coffee but my daughter wanted ice and luckily they had both! It's a cute little shop and it was decorated for Valentine's Day. They have macarons, gelato, coffee and special pastry items. I ordered the Crème Brulee Latte with an extra shot of espresso as the girl did say it was their sweetest drink. My daughter got a Vanilla Bean Gelato.
