I had a delicious watermelon popsicle for $6.50 and it was probably a little too sweet for me. The kids who work here (maybe they own it) are young and friendly. I love the flavors especially the ones without dairy.

Thank you Salvador for the great service ! The prices are fantastic, especially for the area. I've gone a few times now and each time the place is super clean, there are so many choices, and I always leave a happy customer

We decided to go with the banana split. When I went up to the server, I had her omit the marshmallow topping they had listed as a topping, which she said they don't add the anymore anyways. I also told her not to add a strawberry topping and she looked kind of annoyed when I mentioned that. I told her I just wanted fudge topping. After ordering, we did about five minutes to get our ice cream and found a seat outside. It was a nice day, so I didn't mind the sun However, our ice cream started of melting, so we had to eat really fast.

But I also think it's important to include that this isn't a basic, regular, run-of-the-mill indulgence. These decadent, house-made gelatos are absolutely delicious, refreshing, and IMHO, priced correctly for the quality of ingredients used, which can be tasted. I was so impressed by the flavor combinations! We were given the option to combine two flavors of gelato in the same cup, which was a fun way to try a couple of options. We tried (and loved!) the Mango Sorbet, the Wild Strawberry Swirl gelatos, along with a Strawberry Kiwi pop. Most of the pops were made with real chunks of fruit, which I loved seeing. The Wild Strawberry Swirl was the crowd favorite. The presentation and the kindness of the staff working the counter were also lovely. I loved the shop's location, making our post-dinner stroll on the beach with gelato in hand a delicious spring break memory!

Very delicious and a yummy treat that was perfect for a hot day out on the beach. I saw some really cute looking ice cream popsicles too that I would love to try next time I'm back. There was a small line but it went pretty fast and I enjoyed looking at all the decor like the cute ice cream cone light fixtures. There's also a big popsicle ice cream statue outside the shop you can take a selfie with. It's a small space but the beach beyond is vast and it's easy to stroll and eat at the same time. Overall a really fun stop! I love how much food and amenities in near the Hotel Del and this did not disappoint!

Since we had never tried a European-style café before, we thought we'd give it a shot. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Everything from the food to the ambiance and overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The paninis were unbelievably bland -- they really need some kind of sauce or spread because they had almost no flavor at all. On top of that, the prices were surprisingly high for what we received. The desserts were around $11 each, and they didn't even taste fresh. The bread pudding was so hard we could barely get our fork through it. The only redeeming thing about this place is the location. Otherwise, the tables and floors looked unclean, which made the whole experience even more off-putting. This restaurant really needs to revisit its menu and overall upkeep because, as it stands, it's not a place we'd return to.

Honestly, it was the perfect size for two people to share without feeling heavy after midnight. What stood out the most was the kindness we received even as hey were closing, and our transaction was complete and paid in full. Manny still offered us cups of ice water and extra napkins without hesitation. That small gesture really added to the experience and made us feel welcomed instead of rushed out. He got a well deserved tip for that California love he gave us. I'd definitely return here whenever I'm back in San Diego. I'm from New Orleans and have yet to find a true snowball spot outside of there, so I wasn't about to turn around. The line looked intimidating at first, stretching to the door, but it actually moved pretty quickly. It took about 10 minutes to order and get my food, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the small passionfruit shaved ice stuffed with avocado pistachio ice cream and topped with condensed milk. The ice cream alone deserves its own moment. It was easily some of the best I've had. Rich, creamy, and genuinely impressive. The shaved ice, though, didn't land the same way for me. The menu leans heavily into fruit flavors, which just don't pair that well with something like pistachio or chocolate-based ice cream. The passionfruit itself was pretty tart, which might work on its own, but it clashed with the creaminess of the ice cream. I found myself wishing they had options like coconut, amaretto, or chocolate syrups to balance things out better. Also, coming from New Orleans, I'm used to condensed milk being layered throughout, not just on top. It makes a difference in every bite. And honestly, the price here is noticeably higher for something that didn't quite hit the same. I'd come back for the ice cream without hesitation. As for the shaved ice, it just didn't quite deliver that nostalgic snowball experience I was hoping for. The service was phenomenal though. And it was a lively crowd.
