After dining at Nado restaurant, instead of going to the car to go home, my family just crossed the parking lot and went to NADO GELATO . We got the 2 LARGE sizes, and each cup had 4 scoops of ice cream included, first cup we chose: Mascarpone, Chocolate, Passion fruit and Mocha and for the second cup we chose: Butterscotch, Strawberry Biscotinno, Pistachio Both ice cream cups have a couple of delicious flavors , a few of them we cant taste much of the flavors as described in the list , our top favorites are the passion fruit and strawberry , chocolate . Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and parking is either street parking or in their small complex parking for Nados customers

Yum yum yum yummm...(imagine me singing this to the tune of Beethoven's 5th Symphony). This gelato is SO SO GOOD! This is my gelato go-to again on the east side of Coronado. We used to always come here as a family after we dined at Garage Buona Forchetta across the street. We started getting dessert at the restaurant for dinner and had not been here on years. I am glad that we decided to come here. The fruit flavored gelatos are PHENOMENAL here. Actually, all of the flavors are excellent. I decided on a 3 flavor waffle cone, and I am so happy that I did. My flavors were Opera (pistachio & hazelnut), Pear, and Nutella/Hazelnut. This gelato is absolutely decadent, fresh, and delicious. They also serve espresso drinks and they do the espresso pairings with gelato, like affogatos, etc. I usually have Gelato Paradiso but it is on the other side in of Coronado. This hit the spot. I also found out, from the lead hostess (she was working the gelato spot too) that Nado Republic next door is their restaurant. I am going to have to try that out soon!

Delicious gelato with many vegan options. Friendly and helpful employees. Highly recommend the passion fruit!

Overall, average gelato. My guy and I got to try a few flavors before we ordered. I was very grateful for this because we ordered the only 2 flavors that were good to us: Mascarpone Lemon Zest and Blueberry Lemon (Chef's Special). We got a small and the scoops were baby scoops compared to what most gelato places will give you. We ended up getting tired of the flavors after a few bites each and didn't wanna finish the rest. Pretty pricey for the amount you get and average flavors. I don't think I've ever had such disappointing gelato before.

The sugar free chocolate gelato is delicious. They also make great copies. I love their cappuccino.

Nado gelato is one of my family's favorite stops while visiting Coronado island. They have great flavors and is always a yummy treat. This visit I tried the pineapple and passion fruit flavors and was very happy with my choice on a nice sunny San Diego day!

If you are a fan of gelato and you find yourself on Coronado island, you should swing by this award winning shop Nado is a sister location to the Gelato 101 locations at Solano Beach and Encinitas. It's a quaint little parlor just around the corner from the main drag of Orange Avenue When we stopped by, this place was packed, but we were able to get our order in no time at all. There is some seating inside the parlor, but you can also find plenty of patio seating as well There are a variety of flavors and sizes you can order ranging from kids to large. You can even take a pint to go. In addition to scoops you have the option to order a smoothie or a coffee Some tips: There are so many delicious flavors to choose from, so, sample all the ones you want to try and get a couple scoops to try a variety. While there is plenty of seating, consider taking your gelato to go and enjoy it as you walk around the very lovely and scenic Coronado island Cheers!!

Very cool place on Coronado island. They have an excellent variety of flavors and the staff were happy to tend to our needs.

Nado Gelato Review Food: The mojito flavor had a strong lime taste which is great if you're into citrusy flavors. Tiramisu leaned more on the chocolatey side. The coconut was really good and had coconut shreds in it which gave it a nice texture. Passion fruit was refreshing and a good fruity pick. Amaretto was probably my favorite had the right amount of sweetness without being too much. Service: The workers will let you taste test flavors and answer questions. Quick and simple process. Ambiance: Such a cute little spot to grab gelato while walking around Coronado. The inside is small but bright and nicely decorated. Sitting by the windows is a nice way to chill and enjoy your treat.

I came here by chance because we just finished up our bike ride next door at Wheel Fun Rentals. I saw there was a line going in, so I looked this up on Yelp really quick and saw there were great reviews for this place. So decided to check this out! The line moved by very quickly, it seemed like everyone already knew what they wanted to get haha. I asked if they do samples (since I didn't see anyone doing that?) but yes they do! I got to sample a few and the pistachio and hazelnut stood out to me the most. Thankfully the small size cup comes with 2 flavors cause BLESSSS. For the price of these 2 flavors in a small cup, it's very affordable! I don't have gelato very often, but the gelato here was sooooo soft and rich. Between the two flavors I got, I actually really enjoyed the hazelnut one the most. It's definitely sooo rich and extremely soft. This made my weekend LOL There's a few table seating around, so great way to cool down after a bike ride.

I LOVE NADO GELATO!! I have been coming here for years and it's got to be the best gelato in San Diego. Highly recommend their black vanilla as it tastes like a light yet creamy version of the quintessential flavor. They also give so much for a small size!! Taking a walk around Coronado then finishing off with a Nado Gelato is the best

We wanted to try this place after hearing about it, but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The gelato was just average--nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. It's okay if you're nearby and craving something sweet, but it didn't really stand out compared to other gelato spots. The inside does have clean and cute decorations, which make the space pleasant to sit in.

Yummy gelato. The service could have been more cheery. The female behind the counter didn't crack a smile. Scoops were kinda on the small side for the price. We shared a size small. Outdoor patio tables available. Some of them needed wiping, but I don't think that occurred to the employee. Located on C Ave off Orange Avenue, within walking distance of the Hotel Del Coronado. Otherwise, street parking. Helpful?

From the staff to the ice cream to the ambiance in MooTime Creamery, I was impressed and would certainly consider making it back again in the future. A friend of mine from San Diego came to meet me on Coronado on a weekday afternoon, and we went for a walk along Orange. I noted the MooTime Creamery and how I had always wanted to stop by to see how the ice ream and experience were. We got in line, which moved rather quickly. We were inside before we knew it, and eventually were able to see the menu and place an order at the counter. My friend and I both ordered a Little Moo in a cup, which included two scoops. I choose two flavors: Stracciatella and Coffee. My friend ordered two scoops of the July flavor of the month Two Five Zero Swirl, which swirls together raspberry ice cream with raspberry compote, blueberry ice cream with blueberry compote, creamy vanilla, and starry sprinkles for a festive Fourth of July flavor. We both thought the ice cream choices we made were tasty! Unfortunately, being a hot summer day, there wasn't anywhere near the MooTime Creamery to sit in the shade or inside, so we had to walk for a bit to find a shady place to stand and eat our ice creams before they melted. The prices were reasonable being on Coronado. Even though, I used a Buy One Get One Free coupon through Entertainment.com to get one of our ice cream cups for free. I then learned that MooTime Creamery has a loyalty program where you can earn discounts and also receive an annual $5 birthday reward. What made the experience even better was the staff. One of the employees was incredibly friendly, energetic, and genuinely passionate about the gelato. He encouraged us to sample flavors, asked what kinds of flavors we enjoyed, and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. It felt like talking with a wine sommelier--someone who truly understood flavor and wanted us to find the perfect match. Luckily, the music playing through the speakers added a nice vibe to the place, songs like Our House by Madness and Can't Fight This Feeling. We ordered the brunch pizza (with eggs cooked overeasy) and the breakfast flatbread which looked almost identical when served, as well as an iced mocha. The quality of the pizza was pretty average, and the eggs were slightly overcooked. The drink was really good, made fresh, with a smooth taste and a nice sweetness to it, the plastic cup coated in chocolate sauce. It tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee, which I personally enjoyed. They typically serve gelato here, but it would not be ready till almost two hours after opening time.
