Stopped by Yun Tea House later in the day for a quick pick-me-up, and it definitely hit the spot! I ordered the Snow Jasmine Milk Tea at 50% sweetness, and it was made just right. Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Exactly what I needed to get through the afternoon. Great little drink break, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!
Major shoutout to Kurumi, Wendi, Gabi, Silas, and Julia. It's a super busy day today and not only are they crushing it with getting orders taken, made, and processed but the quality of drinks are still as good as ever. The shop is crowded as usual and yet the wait is still super long since everyone is working diligently. Awesome job as usual!
My default boba place. After trying their tea, this became my favorite boba area in San Diego to get whenever I'm in the area. Interior is modern and minimalistic, with the prettiest water table. My favorite is the Dark Phoenix, which I get at 25/30% sugar, no ice. If I order a few more, I always save it to drink during the week as not in the area. Orders get made pretty fast. They also offer samples. On the weekend it can get super crowded but you got less of a line on the weekdays. They also do stamp cards for each time you get a drink!
I must preface my review by saying that I am NOT the prime authority on milk teas since I tend to drink more fruit teas. That being said the Princess Peach milk tea here was absolutely delicious. This place focuses on milk teas, so anyone that wants fruit teas could goto It's Boba time (in the same plaza). The peachy milk tea was delicious. It had a perfect combination of both the milky dairy flavor and fruity peach that fit perfectly. The boba was also pretty good. The ambiance is pretty awesome as I love the cloud lighting fixtures as well as the giant table with the water feature. Definitely gives a zen vibe! I would definitely check this spot out, especially if you love milk teas!

Order at the counter and they will call out your order number when ready. Most teas and milk teas with a few options for more playfully/inventive drinks. Very cute aesthetic. One of the tables is a long communal table with a water stream running through it. Plenty of people on laptop going about their day. - mango sticky rice - slushie with mango base, sticky rice, topped with butter cloud - great, authentic flavor. I liked the jasmine as it gave a floral fragrant sweet scent and taste. The decor was befitting the name "Yun" which meant "Cloud" in Mandarin. There's also a small stream running across one of the table as part of the decor which was kind of cute. Nice place to just hang out.
I've been coming here for almost 2 YEARS, so I'm honestly really disappointed writing this. My sisters were visiting, so I took them to one of my favorite boba spots on Convoy. The drinks were fire as always, but the customer service yesterday was a whole different story. One of my sisters is hard of hearing and didn't hear the response when she politely asked if they had anything similar to taro. When we asked again, Ellie at the register responded in the most condescending way: "No. We don't have that." It wasn't just what she said, it was the tone and facial expressions. I asked, "Is everything okay?" She gave me a stank ass face and said, "Yes, it is." I replied, "It doesn't seem that way." She continued to stare at me with most hatred look. Even her coworker side-eyed her like girl... we don't do that here. Basic kindness and patience should be the bare minimum, especially when someone is hard of hearing and simply didn't hear you the first time. Management - please check the footage around the timestamp on my receipt. The interaction and facial expressions speak for themselves. Ellie... girl. Customer service might not be your calling. If you're working the register, people are going to ask questions and sometimes need things repeated. That's part of the job. I still love the drinks, but after almost two years of being a loyal customer, leaving embarrassed because of how my sister was treated really sucked.
We went around 6PM on a Sunday night. This place is in my usual rotation of boba drink choice. I just have my favorite and usually go towards Oolong teas with less sweetness. Overall I love this place and highly recommend it to friends. One thing I would ask is if they could make the font on their menu larger because it is hard to read from far behind or Drink: I ordered the Duck Sh*t with boba at 50% sweetness. This is my usual go to whenever I come here and I love it. Service: Staff are always helpful and willing to give you free samples of all their drinks which most boba place don't do. They were very quick with our order that we waited probably less than a minute after ordering. Ambiance: The place is a nice tea smell. It also seems like a lot of student study here so a lot of seating is occupied by them. They also have cute cloud decor inside. Parking: The parking here can get difficult even though they have one of the bigger lots. We had no issue with parking this time we arrived.

Arrived about 10pm on a Saturday night and the line was almost out the door. They give out free samples which is the first time I've seen at a tea place. The drinks were so worth the wait. The ambiance is very social and the place smells amazing inside. I got the Hojicha Snow Icy w/ 75% sweetness. Every drink is served with non dairy. Loved the place. One of the best boba/tea shops I've ever been to. My drink was very smooth. The regular boba was some of the best I've ever had in terms of flavor and texture. Hojicha Snow Icy: 5/5
1st time here - What a great first experience! The staff was so welcoming and since it was our first time let us try all the different milk teas and toppings. I ended up ordering their most popular drink "THE DARK PHOENIX" and it's so good! Strong and flavorful. Thank you Wendy, My, and Kurumi!
Decor wise, this place is awesome! The tables with flowing water and the wood carved seats is such a beautiful touch. The aesthetics here is amazing. However i have a bone to pick with the menu. Lol The menu explaining some background of the drinks is interesting but not telling what's inside the drinks is a turn off. Sure, history of the drinks is fine, but id rather know what im drinking. Lol The cashier doesnt smile but she was nice enough. Idc much anyways about the politeness of someone just trying to get through the line quickly. My brother chose duck sh*t just bc of the name and his gf got and iron goddess. I was interested in the mango sticky rice. I cant say I liked any of them. The concoction, mango sticky rice just didn't work for me. The tea was very bland for my brothers drink but then you got to the bottom and it was just bitter. My mango sticky rice could be good but when I hit the bottom of the drink, it was just gross. I really enjoyed 70% of it, but it didnt quite make the finish line. Such a nice spacious interior with ample seating and table space for folks gathering with friends or doing work on their computers. The music isn't too loud so there's a great ambiance for students and workers. I appreciate their focus on different tea types and the fact that they offer duck sh*t tea! I've been wanting to try duck sh*t for awhile. I like that they gave samples and shared the level of sweetness so we could customize our order. The inside aesthetic is great and soothing (kind of reminds me of a Muji store). They have plenty of tea options and shout out to the cashier where they gave samples of the tea if you were undecided. I got the Dark Phoenix Milk Tea which contained oolong. I thought the tea tasted great but my one complaint was that it had a bit too much milk. If there was 25% less milk and added more tea, then it would have been much better. But overall with the great service, I would come back to give a different drink a try. read more

We discovered this place about a month ago and have been obsessed ever since!! We've already tried all 5 of their top drinks, and honestly, we love them all! First of all, can we talk about the SMELL when you walk in?! It smells SO good in there. We literally want our home to smell like this place hahaha. We're actually writing this review on our way there right now because we can't stay away Shoutout to Ellie, Alee, Klaire, My, and Izzy for making the experience even better! The prices are also amazing for the amount you get. Great portions, delicious drinks, and such a good overall experience. One of my new favorite tea spots in SD! The store is super cute and aesthetic and there's a good amount of tables you can sit and relax. There was a line but it went by quick. I ordered the Frozen summmit which had a good nutty flavor. The Iron goddess had a nice floral hint. I tried the drinks both half sweet and it was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I got their boba and it was the perfect chewy texture. read more
This is the only boba store I go to whenever I come to San Diego and the quality is always amazing. They have a wide variety of drinks and they all taste very fresh! You can sample their drinks which is very helpful to narrow down what you want. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I would recommend 50% sweetness (the same sweetness level they provide their samples in). The store has plenty of seating and is kept pretty clean overall and the workers are all very sweet and helpful. I was helped out by Irene and she explained the menu really well for me. 9.1/10 - My favorite boba shop to get quality tea. They allow samples but tbh all of them sort of blend together and I can't remember which one tastes like which. Good thing is that ALL OF THEM are good. I tend to pick randomly to the description that I'm feeling - so recently it was Red Emperor's Robe and Duck Sh*t. I also really like the peach oolong tea and snow Jasmine! My friend also thinks their mango sticky rice is one of the best but I've never tried it (always too full after a meal). Also, it's ALWAYS crowded at Yun Tea, even on the middle of the afternoon on a weekday! Most of the tables are taken by students working/studying though, so that's also another one of the drawbacks that there isn't really any seating sometimes. read more
I finally decided to try Yun Tea House after seeing all the hype, but it just wasn't for me. We waited about 30 minutes outside in the heat just to order. They let you sample the drinks first, which was a nice touch because the peachy princess sample tasted really good. Unfortunately, the actual drink I received tasted completely different. It was much less flavorful, and the non-dairy creamer left a weird artificial aftertaste in my mouth that lingered long after I finished drinking it. The rest of my party felt the same way. They ordered the jasmine tea and the duck shit oolong, and none of us were impressed. We all agreed the drinks didn't live up to the hype, especially after such a long wait. The shop is cute and the staff was friendly, but after waiting that long, I expected the drinks to be much better. It just wasn't for me, and I don't see myself coming back. read more

The ambiance is wonderful. Plenty of seating indoors to work. The drinks are all great, they offer samples for you to try. The smell of tea greets you when you walk in telling you it's authentic. Tried their dark phoenix at 50% sweetness which was delicious and perfectly balanced. Looking forward to trying more their menu! We were served by Christina, Bella, and Lena. If you like strong tea flavors, this place is for you. This is one of my favorite milk tea spots. I love that they offer samples so you can try before you buy. They also have pretty unique teas, such as duck shit tea. I sampled the Dark Phoenix which is their most popular tea and got it in 25% sweetness. I enjoyed it a lot and would get it again. I do want to try their actual boba next time. The interior is also very cute. I liked that there was a river that ran through one of the tables. I can see myself studying here if I was a student or doing work, though outlets seem to be sparse. The bathroom was out of order when I came, which was unfortunate. There's also free 2 hr parking in the lot, but after that it is a fee. read more
Yun tea is one of the better boba spots in Convoy. Their service is so fast, so even if you see a long line, they will get their drinks out so fast. There is also an option to order ahead for pick up as well. I ordered: Duck shit milk tea and the Frozen Summit milk tea. The top of the milk tea even has a duck for the duck shit milk tea!! Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to order pretty quickly. We got the 2 Dark Phoenixs, and 1 Peachy Princess, total came out to be a little under $23 for all 3 drinks. I was impressed because I've been here several times before but this was the first time there were samples! I really enjoyed that we could try before committing to a whole drink because I've tried straying from my regular order before and was unimpressed with the tea. But samples are a game changer!!! The workers today were Kuromi, Philip, Valencia, Alee, and Alice. The drinks came out relatively quickly as well. The boba was fresh, the drinks are good, overall happy with my experience! Duck shit - adjusted to 50% sweet and less ice which was perfect for me! oolong flavor very strong but it's not watered down at all. Free and easy parking. Staff friendly, quick service, there was no line to order and drink came out really quick! read more
