Date of visit: September 2025 This was a newer boba/tea shop that opened in San Diego. They are in the same parking lot as Five and Below, so there is plenty of parking. The fresh milk tea is pretty good with tie guan yin tea. I definitely recommend getting less sugar for the fruit teas. They have a few tables inside. I would say it's not that great of a study/work spot. Credit card only. No cash.

As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a barista named Lisette. She made herself available to any questions we had. She greeted us w/ such a kind and warm welcome it made us want to order with her instead of the kiosk LOL The place itself is pretty small but it's in a very large plaza with ample parking. It felt clean inside & smelled like a sweet bakery which was the best part. We ordered the Sunshine Iced Tea which was refreshing and had pineapple in it but it wasn't an overpowering flavor. We also got the Matcha Brûlée Tornado which I ordered at 80% sweetness. It was really aesthetic to look at and the matcha was delicious. The only downside is that I prefer my matcha mixed in with whatever sweetener is in my drink which for this was the brûlée cream & because of the thick consistency it was a little difficult to mix the flavors but that definitely wouldn't stop me from getting it again!

Yuzu matcha and strawberry milk smoothie

Came here today and had such a great experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which immediately made the visit feel special. The shop itself is new, super cute, and very clean. For drinks, I got the matcha yuzu with 15% sweetness. It was amazing. The yuzu added a nice tangy citrus flavor that balanced really well with the matcha, and it had tea-flavored jelly at the bottom which was such a fun touch. I love matcha and this one wasn't overly sweet, which is exactly how I like it. My husband got the strawberry smoothie with oat milk and ordered it at 0% sweetness. Even without added sugar it was still naturally sweet from the strawberries and tasted really fresh. Definitely a great option if you want something fruity but not overly sugary. Overall the drinks were really good and the atmosphere was great. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu.

I'm always looking for the next best fruit tea! This one is comparable to YiFang's fruit tea which the closest location for me is in Rowland Heights. I'm big on Sunright Fruit Tea but if i'm in convoy, I'd happily come here to get my fix! There was a big crowd right as they opened on a Saturday at 11:30am. I think many people place online orders. Even though they were clearly swamped, I liked how they made sure each customer felt welcomed and was taken care of. Great team! The shop itself has limited indoor seating, so it's more of a pick up and go location. There is plenty of parking because it is in a huge shopping area.

Had way too much boba in my drink compared to my wife's . I didn't add extra boba or anything.

TP Tea is a good spot to sit and chat with your friends. It's clean, and offers a large menu with specials. The service is quick and friendly. I got a Mango Boba Tea and did not add any extra boba or anything. However, there was an insane amount of boba compared to the drink my wife got which you can in the photos as a comparison. Nonetheless the tea itself was good but the mango flavor was on the weaker side, maybe overshadowed due to the honey mixing in with the amount of boba it had added. The prices are around what I see boba shops around charge, at best 25 to 50 cents more.

Blended strawberry milk tea! Must get

I'm so glad they landed in SD! I love their strawberry milk tea (blended). It's a really unique drink. They use fresh strawberries. I ordered online in advance and the pick up was a breeze. Service was on time. I'll be returning soon!

We are so excited to see another Taiwanese milk tea place in San Diego! This is one of the best Tie Guan Yin tea places in Taiwan. We ordered their Tea Latte with light sugar and ice. We tried TP tea before so we know they offer really good tea. However, we are disappointed. The tea flavor wasn't as strong as we remembered. We will come back again to give another try because we know they can do better!

Description of Taiwan classic milk tea and boba milk tea

This is my and my husband's new favorite milk tea spot. You can actually taste the floral black tea flavor in the classic milk tea and the boba is soft and slightly sweet and not too chewy. During weekdays they have a buy 1 drink 15% off 2nd drink happy hour 3-5pm. We like the ease of ordering ahead thru Snackpass and being able to collect digital stamps. My favorite are the qq noodle! They're weird at first but then it reminds me on a common Vietnamese / Filipino pandan "worm" dessert. Service is usually quick and friendly. The parking is easy right now because there is major construction but I can see it getting tough when the Trader Joe's opens up.

My friends and I stopped by for a drink after having dinner nearby. The store was clean and not busy. Service was decent and our order came out fairly quickly. I ordered the Thai Tea with boba and asked for 75% sugar (4/5). It tasted closer to 50% sugar, but it was still good overall. The boba was enjoyable and had a nice texture.

We stumbled up on this place, not knowing it's a famous chain from Taiwan. Plenty of parking, surrounded by other restaurants and shops. It looked like this place hasn't been opened for that long. The place was clean and the people were nice and personable. There were so many different options, and there were a few tea that I have never heard before . I opted for Matcha because I understand what that should taste like. And they did not disappoint! This place might be one of the tea place that actually taste like they use high-quality Matcha. They don't water down their tea with a bunch of milk or cream. Matcha itself was fresh., umami, with little a bit of sweetness. Bonus point- their boba was cooked well too! I would be back if I'm around this area again!

Tie guan yin and Moo my taro

Right as we entered we were greeted by this friendly man, perhaps the owner(?). He was so helpful and kind to us, giving us suggestions and helping us order. Wanted to make sure we liked the drinks before we left too!! Lovely guy. Tie Guan Yin is the best milk tea!!! Strong oolong tea flavor and unique compared to the standard black and green milk teas. Haven't been able to find it anywhere besides TPTea. They also have many non tea options as well. Was super excited to find out one was opening in San Diego, have been to a couple in the Bay Area before. Very new and clean space, with these cutie boba decors. Overall, great drinks and very reasonable prices, compared to many drink and dessert places these days.

Great milk tea. Cheap priced too. Good quality and at 30% sugar was great. Seating for maybe 12 people.

TP Tea just opened and it's already one of my new favorite boba spots! This is a well-known brand from Taiwan. I tried a few drinks and enjoyed them all, especially the Taiwan Classic Milk Tea with QQ Noodle, boba, and grass jelly. Such a fun mix of textures. It can be a meal replacement with all the toppings in it. I'm usually more of a milk tea girly, but their fruit teas are refreshing and perfect when you want something lighter. The Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea was also really smooth and aromatic. For sweetness, 80% is perfect for me. If you're someone who doesn't like things too sweet, I'd recommend going lower. Service was friendly and fast. There are only a few tables for seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot, which works great since it's right in Clairemont Town Square. Perfect place to grab lunch nearby and swing by after for some boba.

I like that they post the menus outside too, in case of long lines, so that you don't flip and freak out when you get to the front and don't know what to order. What I've tried off their menu so far, were Americanos, Lattes, hot and cold. Cold drinks are my default though, you can never go wrong with iced coffee. Their white chocolate is popular, they run out quick, but regular choco does well in a pinch. I absolutely love the part where they give the cup to you at the end of the bar, for adjustments and adding in more milk/sugar. And also to see latte art before closing your cup. I don't know what it is, but that part in aspect allows you to take some time to appreciate coffee in general and then go back to the real world. It's just the little things that matter. Also, the employees are just always super uber nice here. They don't judge you for ordering two cups of coffee in one go, they actually commend the action!

Not sure, but maybe they also offer WIFI.? Drinks seems watered down in my opinion. And I've ordered the same drinks at other locations and either the ingredients were off or it was prepared differently that didn't quite align to my expectations and taste. However, place was busy so maybe it's just how it's served as business was steady and I saw a few order the same as what I got.
