I came by this place, wanting some good boba. My bf recommended this popular boba shop based on the long lines that's typically seen. Thankfully, when we went, there was barely a line, so this was the perfect opportunity to try this place out. I was torn with a final choice, since there were so many delicious offerings! I settled on the Matcha Cortado Creamomo. This was one of the best Matcha's that I've had! The matcha was bright green, sweet and creamy and I loved that this drink also had Gyokuru Green Tea. Paired with the chewy and fresh honey boba, this place is now in my boba rotation! Love the clean, modern vibe of this place and would definitely try some other flavors next time I'm in the area. read more

worth the hype but be ready to wait. the drinks are a good level of sweetness and the texture of the boba is pretty much perfect! they do a great job across the board - i've had matchas, milk teas, and fruit teas from here and they've been consistently good. they definitely use real, fresh ingredients. the strawberry tornado tasted so natural and not artificial at all only downside is that it's pretty busy in the evenings, but worth it if you're into specialty milk teas read more

so blessed to have an omomo in sd after moving from oc. it's my favorite boba spot!! their drinks are so good and i always have a rotation. i typically only like one drink per boba spot, so it says a lot that i like many at omomo my go to drinks are a strawberry tornado less sweet, omomo matcha less sweet add oreo, and an oreo green milk tea. i also love the peach tornado when in season during the summer. they're always consistent, which is why i love omomo. the lines never get as long as irvine's (maybe i'm lucky). their system is quick and efficient. the only con is the lack of seating. read more

This has always been our favorite boba shop ever since they opened a few years ago. My daughter's favorite is the Omomo Matcha. On this particular visit, she ordered this and added Oreo cookies that were blended into the drink. You have to try this combination if you haven't already! The Oreo topping was extra, but it's worth it! The Omomo Matcha is my usual drink as well, but another favorite is the Taro Fresh Milk. It's basically a taro paste with fresh milk added. I like to convince myself that I'm just getting my daily intake of calcium. The sweetness comes from the taro paste. If you're a fan of taro, then you may like this drink. The line here is usually long, so to save yourself some time, online ordering is available. Note this boba shop is for take out only, there is no seating indoor or outdoor. The decor is simple and tasteful. When you walk in (after you make it through the long line), there is a glass mirror with the menu options. Place your order at the counter and step aside. You'll get a ticket with a number and they call out that number at the pick up counter. The wait time after you place your order is about 10-15 minutes, depending on how crowded it is. You know the feeling when a shop is really busy and the line is out the door and yet you still stand in line for a hot minute and still order? Omomo's one of those places. It lives up to its reputation and there's a line for a reason. I haven't been here in almost a year now and yet my drink was still consistently good as it had always been. The shop is small, cute, clean, and the service is fast despite the insane crowds. I highly recommend this place. The BEST matcha lattes in San Diego!!! I am obsessed bc of the high quality of ingredients you can taste! They use ceremonial grade matcha and strong flavorful teas. My go to is the Magnolia matcha which is matcha powder mixed in with their magnolia tea and milk (oat, regular, almond mixed together for a creamy texture) and I always add the tiramisu cream cheese topping / all for $7.25 and the cup is huge! which blows Starbucks always and other coffee shops. They also sell coffee drinks here that I have not tried but I bet the quality is supreme to other places. Will never go anywhere else! I am a loyal die hard customer for life! read more

Love this quaint boba shop that's exploded in popularity. I saw reviews warning of long lines, so I came right after work on a weekday and the wait wasn't too bad. I got the Black Jade Milk Tea with pudding, 80% sweet with less ice, and it was delicious! I loved the flavor with the pudding texture (sweet but not too sweet), and the price was about as much as a fancier latte at a coffee shop. There's no sitting room, which makes service go a little faster in my opinion. Definitely worth visiting again. read more

Only thing iI wish was if they added more boba. They're not as generous as other places. Nonetheless the boba was fresh, soft and chewy. This drink was $8. I had to run an errand up north and I decided to check out this place. I did hear good reviews. This boba place was in the Del Mar Highlands Town center. I'm never in this area and I was happy to see it was surrounded by other stores and goodies. (Sidecar Doughnut and Coffee is a few doors down) The decor was very minimal, screams zen, similar muted palette of tan, light green, black colors. I sat outside in my car for a few minutes while the line went down. The place was very busy but the staff seemed to get the orders out pretty quickly. I liked that their menu was on a glass mirror, it was neat but a bit hard to read. I got 3 drinks: 1. Grapefruit Smash-A refreshing and tart grapefruit slushy blended with fresh grapefruit juice. (added lychee jellies and cheese foam) My sister loved this drink, she said it was delicious. 5/5 2. MATCHA CORTADO CREAMOMO- A layered matcha milk tea mixed with our gyokuro green tea, premium matcha powder, and sweetened house milk, topped with Tiramisu or Cheese Foam. (added coffee jellies, not the best mix) My niece is a fan of matcha, so I got this one for them. They did like it, but probably would have liked the Omono Matcha instead but that one was frozen and I did not want their drink to melt. (they were going to drink it much later) 4/5 3. Thai Ice Milk tea-(added boba and cheese foam) A strongly brewed and spiced black tea mixed with our sweetened house milk. I got this drink, I was a little bit weary since I normally can't have milk, but the staff noted it wasn't tons of milk. Plus they use their 'sweetened' milk. I drank it over time and thankfully it did not upset my tummy. The boba was insanely soft and chewy, just the way boba should be. I'm a super fan of cheese foam and this didn't disappoint. I was craving matcha and this place popped up and i decided to give it a try! I love boba and matcha separately so i was curious about this place. I ended up ordering this blended matcha and adding boba and it was BOMB. They also have 2 other matcha drinks that are more milk tea but this one was like a frappe and was super yummy! I would definitely come back just for this one drink! Maybe i'll try something else next time but the blended matcha was a 10/10. Not much of a line as of this day. First time trying them, got the oreo creme brulee green tea with boba. It is yummy as expected, but I wish I tried just the base first. The oreo taste was so overpowering that it was basically just drinking oreo, which I love, but I wasn't able to taste the quality of the tea as is. Everything was quick, barely any line. I love Omomo! And u love that the lines for this location are not as crazy as the ones in the OC haha. My favorites are always the seasonal drinks: banana latte and itchy peachy. The drinks are a little sweet so I do recommend getting half sweet. There's plenty of parking at this entire plaza is huge and filled with many shops and activities for all ages. I do want to note that there's no seating inside this Tea Shoppe, so it is a quick grab and go. read more

Omomo is out of the way for me so it's rare for me to visit. But when I am in the area, I love to get drinks here. Everything I have tried has always been so good. The quality never misses! This time I tried the gyokuro creamomo and it was really good! I had the drink the next day and even though it was watered down from the ice it was still very flavorful. It's nice that it's also an antioxidant! The omomo matcha always hits too! The server was very helpful when helping me choose a drink. She gave me recommendations on which cream I should pair with the gyokuro. The shop is tiny, so there aren't any tables inside. read more

I've only tried their Matcha Slushy so far, and it is to die for. The Matcha flavor is strong and authentic, balanced perfectly with just the right amount of sweetness. The texture is smooth--not overly icy like some slushies--and the boba pearls were soft, chewy, and clearly fresh. This location doesn't have a sitting area, and the ambience is just okay. It can get a little dusty inside, which makes it feel less clean than I'd like. The service is friendly, though they do have some unusual rules (like not allowing photos of your drink being made). Depending on the time of day, it can also get pretty packed. Overall, I'd still give this spot a 10/10--especially if you love Matcha. I've heard their other drinks are also worth trying, so I'll definitely be back. read more

Omomo, an Irvine staple, has finally made its way down to San Diego! I went to UCI and let me tell you, the day Omomo opened up back in 2018 was monumental. It quickly became all the range and you couldn't walk 2 feet on campus without seeing someone holding an Omomo cup. Fast forward to today, their location in Del Mar absolutely lives up to the hype and quality standards. As it's the only one in San Diego, the lines can get pretty long, but the team works fast and does their best to keep it moving. You really can't go wrong with a drink from here. Some of my favorites are the Fruit Tornados, Avocado Smash, and, of course, their Omomo Matcha. Fresh ingredients, beautiful drinks, and aesthetic branding make for the perfect recipe of a top tier boba shop. read more

I am honestly sad and I will tell you why because my Uji green milk tea with brown sugar boba was all done. At first, I wondered if this tea shop would live up to the hype and the long lines that always exist on a weekend. I was in the neighborhood so I decided to try it out because I always heard good reviews about the Orange County location and that they had the shop open in San Diego. Lo and behold the line was long, but not as crazy as I've seen it before so I thought to myself I'm gonna give it a try. I'm glad I did because this was probably one of the best green Matcha milk teas that I've had in a long time. The 50% sweetness was perfect for me and like everyone raves about there is so much in the flavor profile of this milk tea that's not too strong of a tea and not too strong of a milk but a perfect balance of both, and you have the Boba, which was fresh. The store seems to run fairly well. It's decorated nicely and they move things along like a machine. So much more to try in the future and I will definitely be back because this is a great bubble place and it rivals my other favorite, which is Yun. read more

One of my top places to get boba. I'm from Arizona so every time I'm in california I always make a stop here. I love their black jade or ceylon milk tea. I heard their matcha drinks are good too (except the matcha cortado). Their tiramisu latte drink is also really good, it taste just like a tiramisu. The only thing that sucks about this place is there is almost always a line (at least when I go, aka weekends) so be prepared to wait at least 15 min. I've waited up to 45 before. There's no space to sit inside and sometimes there's no tables outside so it's more of a grab and go. If the wait is only like 15 min I say it's worth. read more

Came here for the people who like to scour google map street views to confirm where things are visually - it's currently not updated so it won't show up (it replaced the Geppeto's shop), hence my picture from afar. Omomo is located between Mission Fed and Chase bank, across Ralphs. Came on a Saturday and waited around 45 minutes. Omomo always delivers the best quality in drinks. I was in town for Halloween weekend and my friend took me to Omomo in San Diego and this time around I tried their oolong milk tea. I usually got much a storm, but I wanted to try different drink. Like other branches, they always have a long line, but it moves fast so I appreciate it. The place itself doesn't have any tables or ceilings area. So it's a grab and go. Parking is planting the plaza, but pretty crowded. read more

If you want real tea drinks, this is the place!! We got Uji green milk tea with matcha brulee. My daughter and I love it it has strong tea flavor which we love!! It's so good that we want to come back to try more!! The place is so modern, clean, and quiet. They have one door going in and one door going out. Service is fast and good! OMOMO Tea Shoppe! This place was INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend brought me here after seeing so many high reviews on it, so we had to try it! It was a rainy day and the place had a line out the door, there was no seating just a place to stand. The atmosphere was bright, clean, and very well organized. We decided to get the Thai Tea Drink as well as the Black Milk Tea, and this was so amazing! Flavor was amazing, wasn't too sweet, it was fresh and the boba was soft and chewy. The overall wait was about 25 minutes overall, but they are pretty quick with ordering and the drinks. There is no paper copy, the menu is digital through a QR code by the register or shown on a mirror. Overall, parking wasn't difficult, it was free in the complex, so i'd highly recommend stopping by, the price was standard at $6-8 a drink! OMOMO tea shop was a random find for me, but turned out to be an AMAZING find! After looking for boba shops in SoCal, I came across a ton but OMOMO stuck me and I decided to check it out. The boba drinks here are insanely tasty and fresh. I ordered the Thai milk tea with boba and it was delicious! Ordering was pretty simple after forming a line that looped outside the door. This spot is very popular, so be aware that you might wait 10 min or so if it's real busy. The service was excellent and inviting. Parking is abundant as they are located in a plaza along with other stores and businesses. There was no bathroom though, keep that in mind. I would recommend anyone who enjoys boba to check this place out. It is extremely delicious and the inside vibes are calming and inviting. read more

The coconut syrup is one of Mostra's signature touches--and honestly one of the main reasons I go--so that was a letdown. And a coffee shop without any pastries or baked goods felt a bit unusual. I still like Mostra as a brand, but this experience didn't reflect what I've come to expect. I'd recommend either stocking key items consistently or adjusting weekend operations if supply is limited. We'll likely stick to their other locations next time we're in town.

He didn't have to do that, but he was sooo kind to offer. And so, Jules stuck around another ~10+ minutes, all to give my husband a taste of the beans he simply asked about. My wrap was supposed to come with a cucumber salad which was really just shaved pieces of cucumber with no flavor/dressing and the yogurt dip was plain with no mint flavor or cucumber in it as advertised. The chocolate croissant barely had any chocolate inside and the top layer was so flaky it all crumbled once we cut into it. I felt a bit ripped off for $6.25. The "strawberry" matcha tea was really bland and weak and I wish they asked me if I wanted any sugar added to it. Also the "strawberry" color was from beet not actual strawberry flavoring as I was hoping for. I did not feel it was worth $8.75. I also felt the lady taking orders and running the register was not warm or welcoming. Maybe I came on an off day but I didn't feel I got the 5 star experience other people are talking about.

I've been a regular customer at OMOMO Tea Shoppe, and I've generally had great experiences on my previous visits. However, my most recent visit left me feeling rather disappointed and frustrated. It was a typical weekend day, and the store was predictably bustling with a line extending well beyond the door. I decided to ordered the off-menu favorite, the "matcha tornado," a drink I'd enjoyed with friends before. My order was placed at 4:30 pm, and the wait was about what I expected given the crowd. Things took a turn for the worse when my order was called, and I received a mango tornado instead of the matcha tornado I had ordered. Unfortunately, the receipt they provide after payment only displays a number and not the details of your order or the amount paid. This was when my frustration began. I vividly remembered telling the cashier my order, the cashier repeating it back to me, and even seeing the words "matcha tornado" on the payment screen. So, I politely informed them that they had made a mistake and handed me the wrong drink. It's understandable to make mistakes, but what followed was rather unsettling. The worker handling the drinks had to call the manager to rectify the situation. Both the worker and manager returned, acknowledging the error and offering to remake the drink. However, they insisted on charging me extra because the matcha tornado was priced higher than the mango tornado. When I inquired about the price difference, they told me that the matcha drink costs $6.75, but my initial payment was insufficient. To resolve this issue, I showed them the credit card charge on my phone, which confirmed that I had indeed paid $6.75 initially. It was only then that the manager reluctantly agreed to remake the drink but not without a rather unapologetic attitude. The entire encounter was uncomfortable, and the manager's tone was quite rude throughout, leaving me taken aback. I've always had pleasant experiences at this establishment, so this was a stark departure from the norm. A few minutes later, they brought out the correct drink, but it wasn't made to the usual standards. The matcha tornado is supposed to have an ice-blended consistency, but it was apparent that they had rushed to remake it. As a result, the drink was watered down and lacked the desirable blended texture. In conclusion, my visit to OMOMO Tea Shoppe this time left much to be desired. The mistakes made with my order and the manager's unprofessional attitude were disappointing, and the quality of the drink suffered as a result. I hope this was an isolated incident, as I've previously enjoyed their offerings, but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! RUDEST STAFF EVER!!! I rarely pen negative reviews, but my experience at OMOMO Tea Shoppe warrants a few cold words. My daughter and I made the mistake of venturing in at 10 am last Friday, guided by an unlocked door and the sight of people comfortably seated at a table. What we didn't anticipate was the chilling reception from an Asian lady at one of the tables. With a tone that was both brusque and dismissive, she pointed out their noon opening time and directed us to a barely noticeable sign on the door. Such a gesture seemed gratuitous given her attitude. San Diego is home to numerous tea establishments that know the value of graciousness and customer rapport. It's evident OMOMO isn't one of them. I must stress that there is absolutely no incentive, promotional or otherwise, that would entice me to reconsider this establishment. The hassle isn't worth it, even if it's on the house. To the management, a piece of advice: a customer's experience begins the moment they approach your doorstep. If my recent visit is any indication, your doorway is as cold as the reception inside. Having finally ventured into OMOMO, I must say it's been quite the experience. Despite its business, especially at the Irvine location, I couldn't resist checking it off my boba tea bucket list, being a boba fanatic. The first thing you notice about OMOMO, you can't really hang out here. It's perfect for a quick to go boba fix. However, as a self-proclaimed boba fanatic, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed by their standard tea offerings, like milk tea or regular tea. They lacked that tea-forward flavor that I love. Regardless, where OMOMO truly shines is in its fruit drinks. I must admit, their fruit-based drinks are amazing. Getting one of their specialty fruit drinks on my 2nd visit was a game-changer. The freshness of the fruit flavors left me impressed and satisfied. While OMOMO may not be my go-to spot for traditional tea-based boba drinks, it undeniably earns a spot on my list for its fruit-based offerings. Consistently Delicious Boba with Top-Notch Service! I've tried many boba shops in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles, and this place is arguably the best in San Diego! Every drink I've had here is consistently delicious. The boba is always perfectly chewy and never overcooked, which is a huge plus. I highly recommend their milk teas over their fruity drink options--they're absolutely divine! I also love how they seal their cups with aluminum foil. It makes it so easy to peel off and enjoy the rest of the drink. There was one instance when they ran out of sweetened boba and served unsweetened boba instead. However, their customer service was impeccable--they handled the situation courteously and made sure we left satisfied. The only downside is that they don't take online orders. They say it's to keep their drinks fresh, but I suspect it's also to generate some hype with the long lines outside.
