Unfortunately the mark was missed with this drink. Was really craving a purple rice yogurt drink and I saw that Daboba had one on the menu. The only yogurt flavor was from a little bit of yogurt flavored cold foam, the rest was just a regular milky tasting smoothie and despite looking like there was a lot of purple rice on the sides, it was kind of just the paste/coloring spread out and not much actual rice topping. Would be willing to revisit for other menu items though! I think I was just heavily craving a specific thing so I left feeling a little disappointed.
This place is always full of customers. But we didn't have to wait long. I tried the pearl milk tea with boba and it was very good. I was in the mood for just a simple classic milk tea drink today and it didn't disappoint. The boba was fresh and flavorful. The milk tea was not too sweet. I've had other drinks from their other locations before and it's nice to know they're consistent with their bobas.
I usually get drinks here and today I got the Kumquat green tea. Adjusted to half sugar and half ice. Tastes amazing! The guy working is super nice and gave me time to look at the menu. The place is a little on the smaller end but has decent amount of seating. Pretty clean and quiet for studying. Would def come back again
Pretty good boba! I always get the strawberry green milk tea 50% sweet and enjoyed it. It is super duper creamy! The reduced sweetness was still pretty sweet, so I imagine 100% would be very VERY sweet. The strawberry flavor was nice & tart and the green tea flavor was strong, both melded nicely together. The interior isn't huge but always has seats whenever I visit. And it is pretty nicely decorated for a boba shop, and even has seasonal decorations, which is a nice touch. The employees were always friendly and happy to answer any questions. There is an iPad for self-ordering so that makes it very easy to customize your drinks. The parking is a bit confusing, they have a large row of spots behind the buildings so best to park there and walk through since the building is in the middle of other buildings. I would come back to fulfill my boba cravings.

RBS Taro is the best I've ever had! Sucks it's only sold at this location and not Kearny Mesa. Also note, this location doesn't have a point system. Sometimes the service is super fast and other times slow af even if you're the only customer there. Ambiance is a lil off sometimes I guess it just depends on who's working and what side of the bed they woke up on. But I mean as long as the boba is consistently amazing, I'll keep going here.
Solid boba spot, I've been here once and the Kearny Mesa location multiple times! My parents like the avocado smoothie as it's perfectly sweet and creamy. They don't just make the avocado smoothie by itself so we had to order the Avocado Mango Cheese Smoothie and ask for no mango and cheese and paid the same price. I really enjoy the strawberry yogurt; it's delicious, creamy, perfectly sweet, a great strawberry flavor and the cheese foam isn't overly cheesy or salty and added a nice touch. The boba is nicely chewy, not too soft and not too sweet with a good light brown sugar taste. Interior is modern and bright and there's a good amount of seating. Service was pretty quick as it was empty.

First off, I'm a picky boba drinker so take that into consideration with my review. I'm a big fan of traditional milk tea and I typically judge a place by how well their traditional milk tea is. In this case, theirs was good. I enjoyed it. The vibe is super cute - as you can see in the pictures! We came on an early afternoon on Monday. There was one employee. He wasn't super friendly or social or hospitable but he wasn't bad. He was just neutral. My friends and I eat got a boba drink. My boyfriend got the strawberry green milk tea and it was very good - better than my traditional one! Overall - we had a great time and will come again!
"Daboba so delicious! " I'm here visiting San Diego area for work when I all the sudden realized what a great opportunity is would be for me to visit a new boba shop! To start, upon entering this humble shop I immediately fell in love with the plants hanging all around the shop. The floors were clean, tables spotless and the jams were on! The aesthetic is so perfectly perfect here. For the price of a fresh tea with a topping I would say it's about average for a boba shop. I am not disappointed with the price point that they serve here. -Today I ordered a fresh classic Jasmine green tea. Half sugar 50%. Light ice with brown sugar boba. I was not disappointed!!!! The tea was so crisp and smooth. A perfect sweet balance along with the brown sugar boba which wasn't too much nor too little. I didn't leave a stain on your teeth or a coating in your mouth. Perfectly cooked boba with a delicate brown sugar coat. Such a perfect cold treat for the night. I will be recommending this boba shop to everyone at work :) Thank You Daboba!!!
Stopped by Daboba in Mira Mesa while running errands and it's a solid boba spot. The shop is clean, bright, and welcoming, and service was quick--ordered and got my drink in just a few minutes. I tried the Japanese roast tea (a roasted oolong) with boba and coconut jelly. It was tasty and refreshing, but honestly I've had deeper, more flavorful teas at other boba spots. Still, it definitely did the job and hit the spot. The convenience factor is a big plus--easy parking in the strip mall and a good option if you're in the area and want a quick boba fix. Bottom line: Not the very best boba in town, but clean, fast, and convenient. Worth a stop if you're nearby.
Got the Brown sugar. Yummy (very sweet just how I like it)! I was so impressed on how soft the boba balls were lol. It took a bit to get our order (about 15 mins) which was funny because we were the first in line. I get it though boba is a busy business.

I got the jasmine green milk tea which I found to be quite bland and flat, lacking that true jasmine flavor. My girlfriend got the roasted brown sugar milk tea and really like the crunchiness. The service was outstanding as my girlfriend messed up her order and the bobarista fixed the drink for free. Overall I think this place is still for sure worth giving a shot despite its fierce competition less than 5 blocks away with sharetea and tastea, two stellar boba establishments. 8.5/10 would come again

One of my favorite boba spots I loved taro frappe, green tea with flavors such as kumquats. The boba is always really good, chewy, and just the right sweetness. Drinks are super consistent and never taste watered down. I keep coming back here whenever I want a good, simple boba fix. Definitely recommend. Friendly staff read more

I was pretty disappointed coming here after really loving Daboba's Kearny Mesa location. I'm not sure if this location has a different owner or if they just operate differently, but the experience was noticeably different. I ordered the exact same drink I usually get at the Kearny Mesa location, but unfortunately, it just wasn't the same. The menu here is also significantly smaller, which was surprising. The yogurt drink I ordered was very icy, and the flavor lacked the tart, yogurt-y taste I'm used to getting at the other location. I really wanted to love this location because I'm a big fan of Daboba, but based on this experience, I'd definitely go back to the Kearny Mesa location instead. read more

Daboba is one of my favorite boba shops. I love how they are spreading throughout San Diego. This location in Mira mesa is a little bit of a hassle to get to just because there is a little walking as it is completely in the middle of a plaza. The servers are always quick and know exactly how to describe the flavors. I enjoy adjusting the sugar and ice levels. Personally I am always a fan of the brown sugar drinks. I wouldn't say that the roasted brown sugar ($0.50 more) is worth it but some people like that subtle texture and crunch in every few sips. This location has way more options than some of the other locations which is nice. I see lots of people studying here, since the space is pretty big and gives off a nice study cafe feel. Interior is super adorable and for the most part has been always clean when I get a drink. Great job Daboba! read more
Cute boba shack with a spacious interior and some nooks and crannies too. Good assortment of soft and hard seating, and high top and low top tables. The interior space makes it a nice place to hang out. I tried the brown sugar matcha boba. It was very milky and lacked matcha flavor, so I probably wouldn't get it again. Haiku: Daboba Purple rice yogurt This is such a unique drink Filling and tasty. --- My friend brought me to Daboba spot. I decided to try her recommendation--purple rice yogurt drink. Its purple hue swirls make for a beautiful drink. I've never seen this drink at any other boba store, but I was pleasantly surprised. I asked for less sweetness, and it was still delightful. Just note: the purple rice and creamy yogurt surely make it a filling drink. I also ordered the Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk (non-caffeinated) for my little one. I believe the RBS series is what Daboba is known for. The drink was pretty standard, but the boba was a disaster. The texture was incredibly mushy and lacked the QQ bounce that boba is known for. I would have asked for a drink remake if I tried the drink in-store (I ordered to-go). read more
Was craving a salted cheese foam drink so I stopped by here during errands- I ordered the wintermelon tea 50% sugar, less ice and it was really good! Sweetness level was just right for me, I think any sweeter would've been too much. The tea was tasty and it paired well with the cheese foam. My only complaint is that their cheese foam drinks should have an open top instead of a straw top so you can sip on it and get that cheese and drink in the same sip. The large was $7.25 and service was fast. The shop also had a really cute ambiance, lots of people working/studying. I'll definitely be back! read more

My go-to Boba spot in Mira Mesa! My favorite drink to get is the RBS Thai Tea with no sugar and light boba. The drink itself is already pretty sweet so I find it to be perfect with no sugar. The ambiance here is great as well. It's the perfect place to sit, hang out, have some boba, and do some studying if you have to. I noticed they recently decorated for Christmas and it just makes the place more cozy! Another thing that continuously brings me back here is the customer service. I'm so amazed by the warm welcomes I get from the employees here every time. As soon as I enter the door, I'm immediately greeted. My most recent time here I was greeted by Dasha and Lucia who made my experience the most enjoyable! They were so helpful and patient with my dad, who it was his first time here, and they were able to get all of his questions answered. They were also super quick and efficient getting our drinks made! Thanks so much Dasha and Lucia for another great experience here! read more

5 stars for the purple rice yogurt drink! The drinks here seem to be on the sweeter side, which balances out the tart yogurt flavors. Purple rice was fresh and chewy, and don't forget to mix in the yogurt before drinking. Service was a tad slow due to only one boba barista, but the shop was pretty quiet that afternoon and seems like a nice place to hang out! They also let us sample toppings - there's a new mochi jelly topping that we tried before deciding on drinks! (It ended up tasting more like a thick jelly) read more

Since it was our last nite with Doc we had massive good grinds at Gen without overdoing it. Doc asked want to do anything after? I said ice cream and milk tea or milk coffee- so naughty for supposed to be on a low carb, no sugar program. Sometimes just gotta give in since life is short so make it sweet. Their cups seemed kinda small but in a good way. Cute sayings on some sealed coverings. All 3 of us got drinks. Hubs liked his and finished it on the drive back to Doc's place. Doc and I found it a bit too sweet, good but much too sweet. I don't usually like boba but theirs was a perfect addition to the drink. I nursed mine til I turned in for the night. Went in to get the Avocado mango smoothie and it was so good. I added red bean and it's even better. What I like the most is the customer service. Very attentive people working in there and welcoming. The place is clean and organized as well. read more
Consistently hits. They have a great menu with a large selection of classic teas plus fun specialty drinks. I really enjoy their thai tea boba and strawberry frappe. Be aware that the default drinks are SUPER sweet - I get all my drinks 50% sweet and it's typically good for me. I could probably even go 25% sweet and still be fine! Inside is cute with a handful of tables. It's not typically super busy so service is also quick and friendly. This location is right off the busy Mira Mesa Blvd; faces the street. Parking is easy in a lot across the way! Will return! read more

I originally ordered a kumquat lemon green tea at 50% sugar because the cashier told me the drink would be stronger (and not that sweet); however, it was wayyy too sweet for me so I had to ask them to help me make it less sweet. Unfortunately, or fortunately, they can't just dilute it after the fact, so they had to make a new drink for me. They asked if I wanted 0% or 25%, and I almost made the wrong choice again. Luckily, the kind bobarista suggested 0% (so we could just make it sweeter after if I needed to). She also let me sampled the 0% version before making it into the full drink. That 0% actually already tasted sweet to me, so it was perfect. My bf got his cheese winter melon tea at 25% and it was perfect as well. Very solid wintermelon. Their cheese cream is good and it blended well with the wintermelon. read more
Daboba in Mira Mesa is always a good experience. They have a variety of the classic milk tea flavors and frappes/yogurt drinks. I liked the mango frappe, and it was deliciously creamy with just the right amount of fruitiness and sweetness. Definitely ask for less sweet when possible. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual hangout or a place to study - they have outlets and the WiFi is fine. There are different seatings throughout the place, and a nice set up farther next to the bathrooms. The staff are friendly and quick to serve too. I can usually find parking around the building. Overall, Daboba is a solid choice. read more
Very cute place with lnstagrammable backdrops for fun pics. Service was great and quick. It was busy on the weekend early afternoon when we were there. There was only one young guy making the drinks. The boba and jelly chunks in my drink were good but the drink itself was overly sweet. I asked for 25% sweet and it was still way too sweet. My friend's drink was also too sweet for his liking and he has a sweet tooth. He asked for 50% sweet too! We might have to ask for 0% next time. The plaza is on the very busy Mira Mesa Blvd and parking sucks. There just aren't enough parking spaces for all the businesses in the plaza and there isn't street parking. read more

Visited this particular Daboba location several times and everyone working there has been so nice. I tend to stand in front of the menu trying to decide what I'm going to order and no matter who it is, they patiently wait for me to figure it out. Love the cutesy sitting areas- cozy, private, out in the open- literally fits whatever vibe you're into that day! We usually order the RBS Thai and Purple Rice Yogurt and they never disappoint! read more
