Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and was pleasantly surprised at all of the wonderful flavors they had. Got a banana toffee crunch, Vietnamese iced coffee and some warm banana bread. Really cute restaurant super clean and modern. The prices were really great! Average price is around 7 to 8 dollars. This mall has been newly remodeled, so grab a coffee and take your time and walk around. It looks really good!

I love the coffee here, but be fore warned, the coffee is very strong. It is so delicious that you want to chug the coffee but you have to restrain yourself. All of their coffees are amazing, they have such fun flavors. If you love Vietnamese coffee then you have to try this place. This place has easy parking, the noise levels are low and there is plenty of space to study or work! This spot is very aesthetic.
Seems like a good place to study, but seating seems relatively limited. I'd suggest getting there early. Their ube milk matcha is probably one of my favorite beverages to date. The ube flavor pairs beautifully with the ceremonial matcha, and is so deliciously silky. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his pandan coconut latte as well. I believe their ube milk line is seasonal, but I really hope they decide to permanently add it to the menu.
I'd heard a lot about Em Coffee House on social media, so I decided to give it a try. For me, a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk should have a rich, thick texture. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee with an extra shot of espresso. The coffee itself was strong, which I liked, but it didn't have the signature creamy thickness that I usually expect from Vietnamese coffee. The shop isn't very large, but it's clean, organized, and has a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and my drink was prepared quickly without much of a wait. The overall concept reminds me of Đá Viên in Orange County, although I think the quality and flavor are a little different. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and if you're in the area, it's worth trying to see if it matches your taste.
We ordered the Egg brulee & white truffle tiramisu coffees. The egg brulee wasn't that sweet and had a strong egg flavor to the cream, which was delicious! The coffee is also pretty strong and would highly recommend for a boost. The white truffle tiramisu was a bit sweeter than the egg brulee but it honestly had the perfect level of sweetness to it. Would highly recommend ordering both flavors! Service was excellent! We received our orders quickly and the cashier was kind. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe and it was pretty packed with people working there on a Monday afternoon. A nice spot to do work or hang out with friends! Plenty of parking out in front in a lot with other shared businesses. Would recommend!
I ordered the banana toffee latte, and unfortunately, it wasn't what I was expecting. It lacked both the banana and toffee flavors and mostly just tasted like coffee. I was hoping for something with a little more flavor. I also ordered the banana bread, and it was very dry and hard. I could barely eat it, which was disappointing. The staff also wasn't very welcoming or friendly during my visit. That said, the coffee shop is very spacious and has a large menu with plenty of drinks to choose from. While this visit wasn't the best, I'd be willing to come back and give another drink a try, hoping for a better experience.
Cute coffee spot with plenty of options. You order at the counter, the servers were nice. We got a flight to share. We picked the strawberry matcha, caramel macchiato, pandan matcha and ube matcha.

I can't believe it took me so long to try Em Coffee! The location is so convenient, with plenty of parking near the Seafood city. I ordered the White trufflemisu and it was not too sweet but still strong which was wonderful. The other drink I tried was the Banana Toffee Latte and this was the perfect sweetness level. I love how you can customize the level of coffee and get regular or strong. If you're looking for a cute, quiet coffee shop to catch up with a friend, or get some work done, there is plenty of room here to do it.
Picked up two delicious drinks - the Coco Ube Latte and the Ube Matcha - and both were delicious, 5/5 drinks. Our service was great, and though it was semi-busy our drinks came out within 5-10mins. The cafe is spacious and modern with plenty of small tables if you want to hang out and study with your laptop for a few hours. Parking is easy in the adjacent lot. Will be back to explore the menu further!
Reviews are largely positive. Many highlight the creative drink selection, strong and customizable drinks, and friendly and efficient staff. The inviting study atmosphere is also appreciated.

Em Coffee House has a great vibe to it. It is well lit and nicely decorated. I especially like the mini indoor rock garden with the deer. Service was quick. Nothing to complain about here. I ordered a Spanish Latte which has condensed milk and milk foam in it. The coffee has the typical dark bitterness found in Vietnamese coffee. The bitterness is balanced out by the sweetness of the condensed milk. The oat milk adds a dimension of oat-y goodness on top of everything. Overall, an enjoyable and palatable drink. read more
Cute cafe but I wouldn't come here again for coffee. I'd honestly would just take round trip to da vien or airoma instead. There were a lot of seats available but they were all dirty unfortunately. I got the White Truffle Tiramisu Cream Coffee and even though I mixed it thoroughly, it was still really strong and had a weird after taste. My friend got the Marble Latte Bac Xiu and it tasted a lot better so I would recommend that one over the tiramisu. read more

I had a craving for matcha and wanted to try a new spot. I saw that this place is in my neighborhood and gave it try. I ordered the bukopandan matcha latte. I set the sweetness level to 50%. It tasted just as I imagined. I want to come back and try more drinks. read more
I admit I'm a coffee connoisseur. I wake up thinking about coffee and before I go to bed I think about what coffee I want in the morning. Em coffee house is definitely one of my favorite spots. Whenever I'm in the area to visit, I will always stop by to grab a cup for my long drive home. Their coffee is strong and hits the spot. I love that you can customize to the sweetness, which is a plus for me especially for Vietnamese coffee. This last time I tried their banana matcha. Ceremonial Matcha Einspanner ~ 5/5! The matcha and cream was well balanced. It was one of the best matchas. My BF also got the same as me and enjoyed it. For pastries ~ we got the cheese danish and the salted matcha bread, both so good! I can't wait to come back when I'm in SD again in August. read more
I ordered the pandan coconut latte with Vietnamese coffee. The coffee itself was bold and strong, with that deep, slightly bitter Vietnamese coffee flavor that really comes through in every sip. It balanced really nicely with the pandan, which added a light, fragrant sweetness without being too overpowering. I'm just too blessed to have easy access to great matcha so take my review with a grain of salt. By SD's standards, em coffee probably ranks closer to 4/5. Their banana matcha is a bit milky & on the lighter side, but it does the job just fine. Otherwise, a solid spot for working or studying that isn't all the way in downtown. I wouldn't mind giving them a second chance. SD definitely needs better matcha & more coffee shops so I'm always happy to support, especially viet-owned. read more

Hubs in search of coffee and wanted to check this place out. Cute shop with quite a few tables indoors. Hubs ordered the pandan coconut coffee. I ordered the banana toffee coffee. Together, they were close to $20. Our coffees were good and they were topped with quite a bit of pandan or banana cream. Reason for 3 stars is because it seems like half the cup was ice, half was the cream, and not a whole lot of coffee. For the price, I expected more. I was wanting more after finishing our "large" coffees. Hubs noted the same. read more

I stopped by on a weekend and the place was pretty busy and yet staff was friendly and welcoming. the café itself has a really cute vibe with nice decor. I ordered a regular latte, but unfortunately it just didn't do it for me. It was a little underwhelming compared to other coffee shops in the area. I was also disappointed that they don't offer "for here" cups, which is always something I appreciate when I'm planning to stay awhile. That said, I'd still be willing to give this place another shot. They seem to have a lot of specialty drinks that looked popular, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The atmosphere alone makes me want to come back and try something different next time. read more
Em was very busy on Saturday morning with nearly every table occupied. It was great to see so many people enjoying coffee, matcha, food, and flights of different drinks. I ordered a small Em while the hubby ordered a large. It's the classic coffee that was iced with condensed milk. It was more bitter than I'd like but had the right amount of sweetness and creaminess to it. Their matcha options look interesting and a few people ordered the flight of drinks. I plan on trying the flight when I return and ordering the pandan matcha or pandan coconut latte as one of my choices. Both look amazing and sound delicious. It's the variety of flavors offered here for me. I appreciated that there were several to choose from so we opted to try the banana toffee latte. I've had the coco ube latte before and it was also good. And couldn't resist the bear waffles in both flavors (cheese and custard). Although at first I couldn't tell which bear waffle was which since there was only a little amount of custard in the middle of one of them (it still had cheese like the other), but both were still tasty and had the texture of a bubble waffle. read more

I come here at least 2-3 times a week. Today, I ordered their Vietnamese coffee. It wasn't as strong as I'm use to (I work in Irvine so the ones I order in OC are a bit stronger) but I still loved what I ordered! I ordered two drinks today: * Iced Pandan Coconut Latte (Vietnamese Coffee) 10/10 * also got a matcha (I'm a matcha girly) and tried the Banana Matcha with banana creme and banana chips on top! 10/10 * My mom ordered her usual Pandan coconut matcha 10/10 Everything I've ever ordered here has been so freaking good. Their service is consistent and amazing. The vibes in here all the way, so chill and pleasant! Reminder... Yes, they do use ceremonial Matcha only! Very, very good! read more
royal pink lychee 50% sweet & citrus lemongrass refresher 50% were both sooo refreshing. Perf amount of sweetness for me but too sweet for my dad. I got the banana foam coffee and it was delicious, the banana foam was well flavored, thick, & creamy. You were so sweet to let me record you inviting people to check out Em Coffee House. I truly appreciated it. Thank you to the owner as well for inviting me to collaborate. Em Coffee House is by far one of the cutest coffee shops in San Diego! The ambiance is relaxed and cozy, with comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi. It was perfect for studying or catching up on the news. The EM Coffee House was so generous to invite me for the EM EXPERIENCE COFFEE flight $23.00. NOTE- This is only for dine-in. My favorite drink I've tried was the Caramel Corn Matchy. It was frothy, indulgent, and best served warm. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, I'll definitely be back. I've been here a couple of times for their matcha or coffee. It can get somewhat crowded on the day and time and parking can also be a bit limited. I came here on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty empty while a weekend morning was much more crowded. It can get pretty loud or quiet depending in when you go. While they do have great drinks, I feel like their drinks are too sweet for me. I know I could go for less sugar and have more caffeine but it's still really sugary for me. But their pastry they have is pretty good when warmed up. I'll still visit here but probably more for their matcha than their coffee cause of the sweetness and try out different pasteries they have there. read more
Every time I'm in Mira Mesa, this is my go-to spot for an iced matcha fix. I usually order the banana iced matcha with almond milk or the pandan iced matcha--both are so good. I love how clean and comfortable the space is; it's perfect for getting some computer work done or journaling. The staff is always kind and helpful, and they'll easily provide the Wi-Fi password and bathroom code when needed. If I want a little breakfast to balance out my caffeine intake, I'll grab their delicious ham and cheese croissant--it never disappoints. read more
Must be my lucky day because the service here was quick and easy on MLK Day! I absolutely enjoyed the Pandan Coconut Matcha. They use ceremonial grade matcha, which I've learned is the highest quality available. The quality really shows it's delicious. The flavor was so smooth, vibrant, and naturally sweet without any of that harsh bitterness. I also tried the Marble Latte, which was okay. I think it would taste even better with traditional condensed milk instead of regular milk for that extra richness. It's a cute spot with lovely decor. I'll definitely be back when I have more time to try their coffee flight since it's currently only available for dine-in. read more
This is a great place for studying - tons of tables and outlets along the booth tables. Wifi and restroom available. No issue with parking. Relatively quiet inside. Tables have signs suggesting a maximum 3 hour stay. I came on a Friday night and it was basically empty. I got a lychee tea while I was here. Quite sweet, basically a sweet tea you would get from a boba store without the boba. My friend got the matcha and thought it was average. They seem to be better known for their Vietnamese coffee so would try that if I came back. The do have rewards and offer a free size upgrade for leaving a Yelp review which is very customer service oriented. IMPORTANT: Their yelp hours are wrong, they close at 7pm everyday! Therefore I wasn't able to stay to study quite as long as I had hoped. read more

I first came to EM Coffee House for the Vietnamese coffee. Turns out, it was the beginning of a very expensive relationship. This time I came back for the matcha as part of my self-appointed mission to try every matcha einspanner I can find. It's healthy because it's green. The verdict? This one definitely earned a spot near the top of my list. The matcha is a little on the sweet side, which was a treat for me. The sweetness is offset by the creamy topping that had a hint of saltiness. Definitely different from the others i've tried! Bonus points for the easy parking! No circling the lot questioning my life choices before getting caffeine. I'll definitely be back to continue my very serious and highly scientific Matcha Einspanner research. read more

This cozy coffee shop has plenty of seating to study, grab a yummy drink, & hang out! The menu consists of a variety of Vietnamese coffee & matcha options. The baristas were very kind & quick to take our order. A solid coffee shop specializing in different Vietnamese coffee drinks. * Em Coffee - 8.5/10 (i love strong ca phe sua da, & theirs definitely meet my expectations when i asked for light sweetness. you can really taste the quality of the coffee here which serves as a great pick me up. i would recommend leaving the sweetness as is, unless you want to just taste the coffee itself) read more
