Definitely not quick but made with TLC and quality ingredients which likely contribute to not being quickly made. Great little breakfast joint in Little Italy if you're looking for a solid quality bagel breakfast sandwich or something breakfast and coffee related. There's really no seating other than the sidewalk tables so it's a very quick in and out place but good if you don't want to be at a long meal and looking to get something relatively "quick-ish" that isn't really quick but satisfying nonetheless if you can afford a little more time in exchange for quality. read more

opped in here for a quick breakfast but unfortunately it took forever to get our orders. Very misleading name. There is only one little oven so orders were jammed up. My breakfast sandwich was very good once I got it but we waited almost half an hour for it. So if you're in a hurry, don't stop here if your in a hurry. The focaccia bread was delicious. Stopped by to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. The staff were super sweet and welcoming. The owners were greeting everyone, and it was nice to chat with them. They offer a variety of things from coffee, to smoothies to sandwiches and desserts. My friend raved about how the breakfast sandwich was delicious. They had offered samples of a chicken sandwich which was really good and the brownie was rich decadent. They have a small seating area inside, but also offer a few tables outside if you'd like to stay and eat. I will definitely be stopping by here again, when I'm in the area. read more

Quick Bites Cafe is part of a set of businesses in a corner complex in the heart of Little Italy. They have been open for less than a week. Several tables were out front on the sidewalk to complement the countertop seating inside that had four high-top chairs. The menu board listed four breakfast items, five sandwiches, four salads, smoothies, and hot/cold drinks. On display in a glass case at the service counter were some baked goods. The cashier (owner?) offered a sample of the passionfruit juice that was in a carafe next to the orange juice while I placed my order. The juice was quite refreshing. I picked The Turkey Deluxe to-go which was made up of sliced turkey, bacon, avocado, roma tomato, lettuce, mayo, salt & pepper, and pepper jack cheese. The components were served on focaccia bread. I also received a portion of the Chipotle Chicken sandwich as a freebie. The service was terrific as evident by the complimentary samples. The owner answered my questions and also asked some of his own. My only nitpick was that the bread seemed harder than I have experienced with focaccia. Otherwise, the sandwich tasted very good, and my visit to Quick Bites Cafe was pleasant to the point that I rounded up to five stars. read more

First time here as I tried to venture out from my lunch norm. They have a variety of sandwiches. I ordered the club sandwich which was good. It was fresh. It was a bit on the heavy side for lunch though. Prices are slightly pricey however keep in mind you're in Little Italy. I'll probably go back and try something else. I really wanted coffee but I opted out. Perhaps next time I come back I'll get more than just a sandwich. Staff was nice and welcoming. Huge fan of quick bites! Food is delicious especially the foccacia they put their sandwiches on. I'd really like to highlight the incredible service though, one of the staff noticed my sandwich was lacking avocado while he was cleaning the table next to mine and immediately had them remake and let me keep the one I already had for free. Grade A service that I rarely see anymore. I'll definitely be back since it is such a great location in the heart of Little Italy. read more

This newish sandwich shop opened in January, and we're so happy to have it in the neighborhood! Little Italy definitely needed a solid sandwich spot. They offer both breakfast and lunch options, and everything we've tried so far has been fresh and tasty. For most of the sandwiches, they give you a few bread options to choose from and the rosemary garlic is especially good--definitely recommend! The owner is very friendly and you can tell puts his heart into making the very best sandwiches for his customers. With that said, it can get a little backed up if busy, but I promise it's worth the wait. There is an option to order online and pick-up in store from their website for those that don't want to risk waiting. A great new addition to the area that we'll be coming back to regularly. How this place is so well reviewed is beyond me. This was about the worst sandwich I've ever had. Ordered the turkey sandwich. They completely over toasted the bread-so much that it is almost rock hard. See pics. Way too much mayo and then to top it off NO NAPKINS in bag on a to go phone in. Usually we try to go to places with more reviews but the reviews this place did have made it seem solid so we gave it a shot while we were in SD. The food and service were truly 10/10. It's a small cafe with some seating outside. I walked in to see what the menu looked liked. Was greeted with a huge smile and told what they offered. I've had their coffee, today I finally got to try the chimichurri sandwich. It's every bite as good as it looks! There's a good amount of meat, a lot of flavorful chimichurri, and the focaccia.... Amazing. The only problem is it's so good I ate the whole thing when I meant to just have half! (And half would've been more than enough for lunch!) First, I have to say that the service when I called to place the order was great, the gentleman that took my order was very friendly and knowledgeable when I asked some questions. I told him I was gonna drive by to pick it up and asked him I about Parking. He was so nice to say "just call me when you're pulling up and I'll come out to give you your order." When I did arrive, there was actually plenty of parking in front of the café so I ended up walking in. The place looks clean and upbeat with a lot of customer activity. There were a few employees behind the counter, busy working and all very friendly and happy to help the customers. Everything we ordered was delicious! I was especially impressed by my sandwich on gluten-free focaccia. The bread was delicious and tasted fresh. We were in SD visiting, looking for a quick bite (pun intended), and we found this place on Yelp with incredible reviews. We got the feisty chicken and it was sooo good. I'm a sauce lover so it was perfect and actually spicy thanks to the Pepperoncinis. The bread was tasty, the chicken was moist and the greens inside added another dimension of flavor. The service was fast in the morning and the ambiance (although a small location) was aesthetic and relaxed. The main person at the register was very kind and he made us feel so welcomed, especially as visitors. I also got a latte and it was tasty, they were very accommodating with my add ons like oat milk and vanilla. There's mainly seating available outside, and a couple stools on the inside, so plan to bring a sweater if it's chilly and you plan to eat there.
