    Lani Coffee Downtown, San Diego

First time at Lani Coffee shop in Downtown San Diego, CA. I tried their Salmon Lox with everything bagel seasoning and was pretty good. Loved the Hawaiian decor they have inside. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I look forward to trying their salmon avocado toast next time. Check it out! Happy Yelping :)

I'm a fan of strong tasting espresso drinks, this place has that and more. They offer heavenly Hawaiian flavors as well as your basic lattes and cappuccinos. Loved this place, would 100% come back when I'm downtown again.

Got takeout from Lani Coffee and tried the açaí bowl -- can't go wrong! Added extra fruit and it was a good portion. I also got the Aloha Mocha, which tasted pretty average, but to be fair I had just gotten back from a Hawaii trip so my bar was set pretty high. Overall, solid grab-and-go spot.

OMG SOOO GOOD AND AFFORDABLE! Each time I travel to San Diego this is always a must go. I like the various pastries provided, black berry muffin being my favorite, but the danish's are also fantastic. Their coffee refills are such good prices and great Hawaiian coffe like I had in Kauai. I also tried the white chocolate mocha last time I went there and it was great, not too sweet and you could taste the white espresso. The restaurant is always so homey and the paintings are really pretty. The music they play always soothes me and it's a great place to hang out in. Many locals come. Vibes are always good and the service is even better. The owner is always so chill and understanding!

Love the pistachio coconut latte! I've had it twice so far and it's been great each time. Both times i requested it to be made with coconut milk. Morning staff is very polite and welcoming. My coworkers love this spot for coffee and I see why! I also tried the avocado toast but wasn't a big fan. I look forward to trying other items on the menu here!

This is a cute local coffee shop with a limited amount of seating, but with really good authentic Hawaiian coffee. We ordered an iced Kona coffee and an iced caramel macchiato and both were good. To eat we ordered a salmon bagel to share. The bagel was big and it had lots of cream cheese, a lot of raw red onions, a thin layer of salmon and taste of capers. It tasted good, but would've preferred more salmon and less onions and cream cheese. They have a similar setup to Starbucks where you pick your order at the end.

I was serving the civic duty and had a 90 minute lunch. While walking to my lunch destination on 5th, I passed by and thought to drop by on my way back after lunch for my 3rd coffee of the day. It had been a while since I last saw a place serving Lion Coffee, so it definitely caught my attention. Place appears very relaxed and casual. Staff was very friendly. Heads up that although there was a check-in offer for 15% off, they did struggle to enter it in due to there being a new register system (was about to say that it was okay). The iced Lion Thai Latte was sweet and a great dessert coffee to the lunch hour before I returned to the courthouse that was around 10-15 minute walk away (with stoplights).

Love this place! We on our family vacation to Hawaii and when we came back I was craving some macadamia nut coffee and was lucky enough to walk by this place and find some. My husband really loved the salmon toast. I Got a macadamia nut latte and my hubby got iced black Kona and it was great.

The coffee was just okay. I have never had Hawaiian coffee before so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. However, the peanut butter açaí bowl was delicious. Hearty portions and really enough to share across two people. The service was good as it was a little busy. The workers were definitely hustling to get the orders out. The shop was quaint with little touches of tropical decor throughout.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

This little store is inside the Bakeshop by Coco Playa so the sign is hard to spot. They sell açaí bowls (in a cup) and smoothies + Brazilian cheese bread :) The acai is smooth and creamy, and I liked how it was sweet (honey added) and didn't melt very quickly. Super tasty! They do a good job layering on the toppings and making the cup look pretty. There's an option to do half acai and half coconut sorbet; the sorbet was super sweet and packed a punch of coconut flavor-- so good and refreshing! The blueberries seemed thawed from frozen so some of them were still frosty but they were still sweet. MT really enjoyed the pistachio butter too. They did away with their Tuesday special of unlimited toppings, but now you get unlimited regular toppings everyday with regular+ sizes. Premium options (like protein powder, pistachio butter, almond butter, goji berries, etc) come with an additional cost. Definitely pricey but a special, fun, and tasty treat! We enjoyed Açaí Carioca so much we went 3 times in a week! This location has better parking (a shopping plaza lot), was less busy, friendlier service, and had a few seats outside compared to their other location. If you're craving a refreshing and somewhat healthy treat, check this place out!

It's SO good, I highly recommend the coconut sorbet to any coconut fan! The texture and flavor of real açaí here is so amazing, completely a different experience from any of the other açaí places. That makes this my favorite açaí spot I've tried so far in San Diego. The Brazilian bread is super addicting as well!

Honestly, it wasn't bad at all -- it was a sunny day and there's plenty of street parking if you're willing to walk a bit. I've always loved Blue Bowl Superfoods in Oceanside. It's SO good and easily one of my favorite açaí spots, I could literally eat it every single day. I love all the customizations they offer, the variety of bases, and just how many ingredients they have. This time, I decided to visit their UCSD location, which is right in the middle of University of California San Diego's campus. They open around 10 AM on Saturdays (and typically around 8 AM on weekdays), and even right at opening there were already a lot of people waiting. My friend and I were still able to get in and out pretty quickly around 10. I ended up getting their mango passion base along with açaí. For toppings, I loaded it up strawberries, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries they truly have so many options. I also love their variety of nuts, seeds, and different types of nut butters. They really don't skimp on choices. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. I was SO full after, and honestly, you could even split a bowl with a friend because they pack it generously. It's about $12 for a normal medium-sized bowl, which I think is worth it for the portion and quality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is nice it's more of a grab-your-bowl and then sit outside type of vibe, but there is indoor seating as well. Definitely one of my favorite açaí spots, and this location did not disappoint.
