For the first time ever there was no one waiting (Due to temperature being 95 degrees) Went to get out of the heat and had a delicious Mocha Latte. Service is always excellent.
We were very lucky! Tried to make reservations but could t so we walked in or lined up on the stairs. When we checked in they just had a table for 3! We were able to be seated in a few minutes and enjoyed our meal. The space is so interesting! Like Alice in wonderland and Miami vice fused together. The staff are very nice and helpful, the food was really good! The cheese fondue was a fun experience, the khachapuri was good thanks to the bacon and jalapeños, and the souffle pancakes are delicious!
Uber/Lyft is highly suggested as street parking is mostly metered and can be limited depending on the day/time of your visit. We arrived around 10am on a Friday and there was a long line, as expected. We waited for about 40 minutes for a table. Luckily Parakeet Cafe is across the street so we grabbed a drink while we waited. Once we were seated near the kitchen, we knew this was absolutely worth the wait! I loved the 2000s music they were playing inside, and the staff was super friendly. The menu was so unique! It definitely stood out from other brunch restaurants. I loved the colors and design. We ordered the souffle pancakes, hashbrowns, and chicken & waffles to share. The chicken was crispy on the outside and so tender and juicy on the inside. The souffle pancakes were light and fluffy. The hashbrowns were the perfect amount of crispy. It was my bestie's birthday, and our waiter brought a cute little macaroon dessert with her name printed on it. The personalization was such a nice touch and made her feel extra special! Even though we were there during peak brunch hours, by the time we got our table, the service was quick and attentive. The waiters seem like genuinely nice people which made the experience so great. The drinks we ordered were so cute. Presentation is everything and our waiter even gave us the option to choose the flower color. He knew we wanted good photos! Non-alcoholic drinks were also available which is great if you want a mocktail instead after a night out, or just can't hang like you used to (shout out to my fellow 30+ girlies lol). This is definitely one of the most instagrammable brunch spots in San Diego so come hungry with your camera ready!
Fun brunch spot with pretty interior and Insta-worthy plating but be prepared for a long wait and slow service. We ordered the fried rice after seeing it on so many tables and it got me curious. It was a standard fried rice. The hash browns were crispy but honestly they were just hash browns lol. The fluffy pancakes (which I forgot to take a photo of) were what originally drew me here. They were good with a nice egg flavor but not as light and fluffy as some others I've had. Overall, very cute spot to hang out, grab some food, and get pretty drinks. But if you're coming here expecting bomb food, this probably isn't the place. Given the long wait and just decent food, this will be a skip for me next time.

The ambiance is super fun with great music and service is great too! We got the Turkish eggs and soufflé pancakes, highly recommend both! Only note would be Is it would have been great if they have a yelp waitlist or something vs having to put your name down.
A unique and stunning spot for brunch! We got in line about 20 minutes before opening and were already around the 15th group in line, so this place definitely gets popular early. Seating took a little while after opening, likely because they stagger new parties to avoid overwhelming the kitchen with orders all at once. There were tons of fun brunch drinks listed on a cute, record-shaped acrylic menu, although the coffee options were pretty limited. The food menu was just as fun and whimsical, and the waitstaff were all dressed to match the theme. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We tried the soufflé pancakes, which were good, though they weren't quite as fluffy and jiggly as Japanese soufflé pancakes. They were also quite sweet on their own, so we didn't really need the syrup. We also ordered the cheese fondue plate, which came with steamed vegetables, kielbasa, and bread cubes--a really fun concept. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, playful, and definitely part of the experience. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area, especially if there isn't a long wait for a table.
Conceptually super cute and fun menu. Me and my friend got lucky and were able to get seats on the outside patio without a reservation, but shortly after they closed their waiting list and told people to reserve for the next day. Service was really slow. Our waitress checked on us one time and in general took a long time to get iur orders or give us the check when we asked for it. The food wasn't revolutionary either. I had the shrimp and polenta. Overall pretty disappointing considering how hyped up and well loved it seems to be.
Such a stunning breakfast spot and definitely a must-try! The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the entire experience was wonderful. We ordered a coffee and the Morning Glory Mocha--both were the perfect start to our meal! American Breakfast with bacon: 8/10 Khachapuri: 9/10 Soufflé Pancakes: 10/10 -- an absolute must! The service was spectacular as well. Ronny took amazing care of us and made our experience even better. Highly recommend this place! P.S. Even the bathroom is gorgeous!
Very very busy and long lines. Not a fan of how the line to put our name down is up the narrow flight of stairs. Yes, there is an elevator but the setup seems inconvenient for folks with a disability to get in line. It's also a game of dodging people while going up and down the stairs. We sat at the chairs on the plaza while we waited for our table. When it was our turn, we got seated at a low coffee bar facing stocked boxes and an area that is no longer in use. Felt like a weird ambiance and that detracted from our experience for sure. The famous souffle pancakes were tasty. I had lower expectations coming in because the reviews were complaining that they were fluffy like the authentic Japanese ones. I agree that they aren't light and airy like the ones in Japan, but they are still jiggly and the denser texture was still very tasty. We also tried the short rib smashed potatoes with chimichurri and that was not very good. The steak was kind of chewy and the whole thing was too salty and didn't have standout flavor either.
Morning Glory is the best breakfast spot I have been to, probably ever! There's nothing here that was lackluster, everything was over the top and branded. Even the overalls the servers were using were Morning Glory branded, so cute and stylish. It has the best vibes as soon as you walk in. The main seating area with the bar, back area by the kitchen, and outside seating all have similar but different vibes because of the decor. Anywhere you turn there was something cute or interesting to look at. We ordered 3 drinks and 3 entrees between two people, because everything looked so good. We ordered: Gun fizz Blueberry Bugatti Latte (it had peanut butter but forgot what it was called) Soufflé pancakes (SO FLUFFY and sweet. Ate these with just butter and whipped cream, completely forgot there was syrup on the table) Khachapuri Turkish eggs

My boyfriend and I almost lost our opportunity to try this place because there was a bit of a wait, but I'm so glad we were able to have breakfast here. We basically were observing the staff and the environment the entire time and we absolutely loved the ambience of this location. I have never seen a restaurant with staff members that look so calm and joyful. Everywhere you go staff is usually a little frantic during rush-hour and neither the host, waitress, bartender, or cooks displayed stress. It made us feel so calm and welcomed and allow us to truly enjoy our meal and not feel rushed, despite their long wait. Which by the way, breakfast was delicious. We shared the American breakfast and another dish that look like a pizza and it was so good. On top of this all of the decor inside of the restaurant is so cute and it's all customized with their logo. Big big fan of this place.

It's definitely busy and popular, but the service was very good and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and overall we had a really enjoyable experience. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a fun brunch spot in San Diego.

My friend and I visited this restaurant to celebrate her birthday, but unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. The two of us arrived at the restaurant at noon on a Monday. Upon arriving, a male host informed us that there would be a 25 minute wait to be seated at a table, but that we could sit at an outdoor counter and wait for our table to be ready. We happily agreed before being approached by a hostess named Madison, who told us that she preferred that those counter seats be left open and that we should wait elsewhere for our table to be ready. Mind you, there were about 6 open stools at this counter, and people were not being seated there. I thought this was strange, and that the hostess was quite rude, standoffish, and dismissive, but we abided by her request and left the restaurant. After forty minutes, we received a text that our table was ready. We returned to this restaurant (and yes those stools were still open), only for Madison to sit us at the bar. This was upsetting because we were told that we were waiting for a table and we wouldn't have waited so long for bar seating. My friend approached Madison and asked if we could sit at a table. Madison responsed, "well, the bar is what is available". My friend then informed her that we wouldn't have waited 40 minutes for bar seating, especially since we were guaranteed a table. Madison looked at my friend, looked at her tablet, and then looked my friend dead in her eyes and said, "actually, you only waited 36 minutes" before turning back around. Impeccable. What a delight! We then spoke to another host who was able to immediately seat us at a table. Imagine that. The manager came over to apologize to us by stating that our experience with Madison does not define their restaurant, which unfortunately for them, is untrue. If there is anything that represents a business, it is your employees, but I digress. Thank you to our server for the birthday pin, dessert, and espresso martini for my friend. My fried rice with vegan eggs and soyrizo was delicious. My friend enjoyed her quesabirria. We didn't like our cocktails at all so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're looking for good drinks. The food was good and the interior is beautiful, but I would not return. 40 minute wait on a Monday afternoon, I can't even imagine the weekends. Madison, I hope that this is a temporary job. Hospitality is not for you. read more

PLANNING A BIRTHDAY HERE? READ BEFORE YOU GO! I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and while the atmosphere was amazing, the experience had its downsides. The wait was TWO HOURS! After waiting 15 minutes in line on the stairs, we were told about the wait. The restaurant was also difficult to find, tucked up a staircase in a hidden area, with no designated waiting area. We had to wait near the elevator lobby until our table was ready. The food and drinks were just okay, nothing too special. However, the atmosphere was beautiful! My favorite feature was the unique glass bathroom with its unusual toilets and sinks. FINAL THOUGHTS: Beautiful ambiance, but the long wait and lack of a proper waiting area took away from the experience. If you're celebrating a birthday here, plan ahead and be prepared to wait! read more

Visiting San Diego found this highly rated brunch spot. People were lined up and there was a 20-30 minute wait. But the music and vibes were oozing out the door. Once seated it is a tightly packed establishment but you immediately feel the originality. The menu is 1 of a kind and a little overwhelming to make your choice. Settled on the soufflé pancakes with a side of eggs and dirty hash browns. The pancakes were Out of this world but I felt like the eggs were a little underwhelming and my dirty hash browns were cooked to smithereens damn near inedible. Overall this place is a cool spot especially if you're looking for vibes and a unique experience. read more

Morning Glory continues to be one of my favorite brunch spots in San Diego, and this visit reminded me why. I've been here several times over the years, but this time I finally got to bring my girlfriend so she could experience it for herself. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back isn't just the food, it's the atmosphere. The music, the decor, the energy, and the views all come together to create one of the coolest brunch experiences around. We started with the Breakfast Carbonara and the Dirty Hashed Potatoes. The carbonara was good, but if I'm being honest, the dirty hash completely stole the show. I wasn't expecting a side dish to outshine the entrée, but it absolutely did. The potatoes had the perfect amount of crisp, and the sausage gravy was rich, savory, and downright addictive. Those two together were easily my favorite bite of the meal. To finish things off, we ordered the famous soufflé pancakes. They were every bit as fun as they look, light, fluffy, yet surprisingly filling. It almost felt like ending brunch with dessert, and by the time we finished we were completely stuffed. We also ordered a couple of mocktails, though I can't remember their names. That's probably a sign that I need to go back and do some more "research." The only small downside was our seating. We were placed at the metal bar overlooking the courtyard. I actually think it's an amazing seat during most parts of the day, but we happened to be there while the sun was beating down on the metal countertop. It got so hot that I burned my arm a couple of times and couldn't comfortably rest it on the table during the meal. If you visit during a sunny afternoon, I'd recommend requesting a different table. Overall, Morning Glory is still one of my favorite brunch destinations. Between the atmosphere, creative menu, and unforgettable dirty hashed potatoes, it's an easy place to recommend. And if it's your first visit, don't leave without trying the soufflé pancakes. read more
Always a long wait- but love this restaurant so much! I love their soufflé pancakes. I tried their steak and eggs and now that's my favorite thing ever! The potatoes were cheesy and so delicious. Everything is so thought out and love all of their glassware. I do wish there were more vodka based drinks on the menu. read more
Every time is amazing, and it's obvious why this place is such a hit. The line outside is just to put your name in, they don't take reservations. They'll text you when your table is ready, so go put your name down and explore while you wait. On Saturdays, there's a farmers market nearby, which is a great way to kill some time. There are also plenty of cute spots around, including Parakeet, which usually has no line and is another great brunch option. But Morning Glory is THE spot. Everything inside is beautiful and so well done, over-the-top but still classy. The soufflé pancakes are a must and something we get every time. There are so many options on the menu that I try something new every visit, and I'm never disappointed. Very large portion sizes as well. They also have an amazing and extensive cocktail list. Was this place good? Yes. Was it extraordinary and worth the 1.5 hours of total wait time for a party of 2? Nope. We waited in line for 35 minutes just to put our name on the list - line was across the plaza. An hour later, they texted that our table was ready. We sat at the bar. This place is slammed all the time, but our server was really nice. It's a vibe inside, loud music and cool decor. Food - soufflé pancakes 5/5 do it! Khachapuri 4/5 - almost like an eggy pizza Turkish eggs 3/5 just personal taste - was too much for me. Yogurt and eggs were not my vibe. One thing to note, there are two single stall bathrooms in the whole restaurant. The line for the bathroom took over 10 minutes. Overall, good and really cool inside. Morning Glory is one of San Diego's most talked-about breakfast spots, so my expectations were high--especially for the famous soufflé pancakes. I've had soufflé pancakes several times in Japan and at a few places in the U.S., so I have a pretty good benchmark. Unfortunately, these didn't come close. Instead of being light, airy, and cloud-like, they were surprisingly dense and tasted more like a standard pancake in a different shape. The signature delicate texture that makes soufflé pancakes so special just wasn't there. I powered through one but had no interest in finishing the rest. Thankfully, the rest of the meal was excellent. The steak and eggs were outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the crispy onion rings that came with it were a fantastic touch. We also ordered the chilaquiles with birria, which our server, Grady, recommended, and it ended up being one of the best dishes on the table. The birria was rich and flavorful, and the dish was incredibly satisfying. Even the sides impressed us--the sausage and bacon were both cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I also want to recognize our server, Grady. He noticed I wasn't enjoying the pancakes and immediately offered to replace them with something else. I declined, but I really appreciated that he was paying attention and wanted to make things right. His attentive, friendly service was one of the highlights of our visit. Overall, Morning Glory delivered a great breakfast with excellent service and several standout dishes. Just don't expect the soufflé pancakes to live up to the hype if you've had truly authentic ones before. The bathroom was filthy. read more
Arrived at 8:00 AM on Sunday thinking we'd beat the line, but still got a 20 minute waitlist! It was absolutely worth the wait. The vibe, views, and stunning interior make this a must-visit spot. We sat outside, which was a bit chilly in the morning, so dress in layers. Portions are big and perfect for sharing! My friend and I shared the Breakfast Carbonara, table-side toast and bacon from the dim sum cart. Everything was phenomenal. Loved everything about the meal and drink. Went for sunday brunch and wait time was about an hour and 15min.. not too shabby. We were able to walk around Little Italy and enjoy it before being seated. The inside is a trip, in the best way. Decor is very well thought out and the music was bringing the vibes. I was actually surprised with the food and how everything turned out. We ordered the breakfast carbonara, steak & eggs, pork belly fried rice, fried chicken & waffles, and dirty hashed potatoes. Everything was nicely seasoned and a good portion for the price. Amazing restaurant, ambiance, and service! What a beautiful treat this restaurant is! Especially the souffle pancakes which is hands-down the best in the world! (Well maybe it rivals spots in Tokyo!) But still, best in the US! Note there is no wait when we arrived at 9am on a Monday, however after that, a line always begin to form. Service was great. This time we tried the pasta and it was homemade pasta and so delicious! Highly recommend if you are ever in San Diego! Always worth that extra trip. read more

10 out of 10 everything! We came here for a Bach and they were able to accommodate 13 girls. The service was amazing from taking our drink orders, food orders, and even taking videos/pictures for us. They were just good sports about everything. I really liked their menu selection. Everything sounded so good I didn't know what to get. A few of us ended up sharing some dishes. The soufflé pancakes are a must! I also got the matchatini. It was an amazing drink to go with our food. Morning glory is great for large and small parities. The vibes were perfect! read more
Start off, going to a different breakfast spot and then saw a line forming. Thought hell, this has to be good. The atmosphere is welcoming, eclectic, and eye drawing the service was kind, patient, informative, absolutely no problems there. I got the breakfast pasta, not really seeing the whole breakfast side of it other than the fried egg which was cooked perfectly or the crispy bacon, which was a nice contrast in texture, but the whole thing made for a great tasting unusual meal. Took my bestie for birthday brunch here for the first time. And I must say I really enjoyed the upbeat lively vibe here. Since its in little Italy, parking can definitely be challenging. They are location on the second floor above another restaurant so make sure you go up the stairs to find them. We went on a Wednesday morning and the wait wasn't too bad we waited about maybe 20 minutes. They have seating inside and outside. The souffle pancakes were amazing super bouncy and not too sweet even with syrup on it. Adding the fresh fruits on the side was definitely a must. The khachapuri was super delicious and I love the doughy texture. You have to add the pork belly bacon and jalapenos is definitely a game changer. It takes it to a whole another level of deliciousness. I was in love with how crispy the dirty hash brown was with their sausage gravy. I love their large chunks of sausage in the gravy. It is definitely a must try. Star of the show was the quesobirra taco. It was super flavorful but not too overpowering or salty. Comes with a avocado cream on top and ask for their housemaid hot sauce. read more

I came here just to try their fluffy Japanese pancake. But be warned, because this restaurant is right next to the farmer's market, the wait can get quite ridiculous on Wednesday and Saturday. Luckily it was just me and my mom, so we were quickly seated. But a lot of people had to wait in line just to place their names on the waitlist. We were quickly seated. We got the hot and cold matcha latte, which paired really well with the souffle pancake. They must make a bunch of these pancakes everyday, because our order literally came out 5-10 minutes after we ordered it. The latte actually came out much later. Service was overall very prompt despite being a super busy morning. Overall if you are in the area, I do recommend coming here, but maybe avoid Wednesdays and Saturdays when the farmer's market is going on. I loved the souffle pancake, but don't know if it's worth the 1-hour long wait especially when there are hundreds of other good brunch joints in the area. read more
We came here for brunch with a group of six. The wait was an hour and a half so we explored the Little Italy Farmer's Market while we were waiting. Spoiler alert: it was worth the wait. I had the soufflé pancakes with a side of bacon. It was delicious. We ordered fried rice and lobster omelette for the table and it was all so very good. My friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday, and we had such a great time! The atmosphere was beautiful--the décor, the music, and the overall vibe made it the perfect place for a girls' night out. The food was delicious, and I have to give a special shoutout to our server, Lucky. He was absolutely phenomenal! His energy was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He helped make the celebration even more special by surprising our birthday girl with a complimentary drink and dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because they don't accept reservations, so we had to wait about two hours for a table. Also, several menu items were already unavailable even though the restaurant still had about three hours left before closing. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I'd definitely come back IF they ever offered the option to makereservations. This. Place. Is. Amazing. Hands down, my favorite brunch spot! You cannot top the atmosphere of this place, too! We always switch it up but I usually end up leaving with their egg sandwich. However, I found out they got rid of it! It was delicious, please please please bring it back! read more
Good lord. This brunch spot is absolutely incredible. The food and drinks were perfectly prepared, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. But the real showstopper? The aesthetic. Every detail of the space is thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed. I was genuinely disappointed to find out I couldn't buy the cheetah-print overalls the staff were wearing, they're amazing. I was told they might be available for purchase someday, and if that happens, I'll be first in line. I left my contact info to be notified, really hope they keep their word and notify me. The prices are surprisingly fair for the quality and experience you get, and even the menu itself is beautifully designed. It's clear that a lot of care and creativity went into every aspect of this place. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back. I'm just disappointed there's not a location in LA. read more

What is the best time to go on a weekend so we dont have to wait 3 hours. Do people line up before it opens. I also see conflicting info that they do have reservations but when I called they said they don't take them. Any updates? Thanks
The only available reservations are on OpenTable for 2:45 pm-3:15 pm, Saturdays and Sundays only, starting at midnight 30 days in advance.

It is pet-friendly, as they even have water bowls for your fur baby when requested.

Check the online menu under Family Affair. They do accept reservations for certain meal items, that come with a high price. May be worth it as the wait can be almost 2 hours peak times.

Yes there are and the car could also make something for you off menu.
Is bar seating quicker, if you just want to grab a drink?
Depends on how many people you are with. I went by myself and got seated at the bar immediately for food and drinks.
