Landed here for brunch while visiting San Diego. When I say you need to come here I mean it! Mandatory. Such a yummy brunch everything HIT. THE CANTALOUPE & OLIVE OIL MARTINI?!? Amazing. Service was great and the staff were sweet with great recommendations. Inside decor was super cute. Bright lighting great for pics. Waited for about 15 mins for our table. Would def visit again.
The food was amazing. We had chicken and waffles with an absolutely amazing jalapeño sauce.!! never tasted anything like it. It was so delicious. Plus the waffles had walnuts and fresh green sprinkled over it. We also have the chicken Panini stuffed with chicken, roasted red peppers, zucchini and pesto sauce served on a brioche bun Next time you're in North Park San Diego this is a must stop!!! servers are great and the food is amazing!!! Marcello was our server and he was an outstanding representation of Flora, very friendly and very attentive.
Fun brunch spot! The decor inside is def catered to the instagram crowd. It was a good thing I made a reservation for the weekend because it gets very busy. Parking was relatively easy to find on the streets. The steak burrito and berry french toast are my faves! Not usually a sweet brunch person but I really liked the fresh berry toppings. Despite it being busy, I had amazing service from the female server that worked on 6/20.
We came to Flora for brunch on a Saturday morning. They told us upon ordering that they could not make any modifications to the menu items due to being busy. That is odd for a regular restaurant. I ordered a burger with potatoes. The truffle on the potatoes was overwhelming. I asked for no egg on my burger and they said they couldn't accommodate the request but ended up doing it anyway. Confusing!
The frech toast was worth it and only make a limited amount per day. We chose the sweet one as my daughter has a little sweet tooth. She ate it like there is no tomorrow and so did I lol. The eggs benedict was good and something different as they made their Hollandaze sauce more foray which gave it a different texture. Would recommend here and advise to get a reservation or your going to wait a long time
Sigh! We made a reservation here to celebrate two birthdays as a group of 3. We literally got the loudest table at the restaurant right by the coffee bar in the very back. We even asked to move but no luck. So it was already not a great start because we had to shout to hear each other. The food was also just okay. Solid gluten free bread. The hasselback potato was great, heavy on the truffle oil. My steak was way over cooked. Everyone liked their food just fine. Then it was time for birthday dessert. The server knew one of us was gluten free yet brought a bread pudding. As an afterthought, she said oh you can't eat that. Can I offer you a shot instead? Of alcohol? None of us were drinking. That certainly did not make me feel special. I probably won't go back. There are plenty of breakfast spots with similar food and WAY BETTER service!
Tried Flora in North Park after seeing all the cute photos online, and I'll say this: the aesthetic definitely delivers. It's very Instagram-friendly with pretty decor, pastel umbrellas, and lots of photo opportunities. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Food-wise, it was just okay for me. I ordered the açaí bowl, and while it was fresh and nicely presented, it wasn't the best I've had, but definitely not bad either. I also had a pineapple mimosa, which was refreshing and enjoyable. My friend ordered the Turkish eggs and said they were good, although she felt the dish leaned a little too creamy for her taste. The menu overall felt somewhat limited, and nothing really stood out as a must-have dish. It's one of those places where the ambiance may outshine the food. Would I come back? Maybe--for the cute atmosphere, photos, and drinks. But if I'm choosing a brunch spot solely for the food, there are other places in San Diego I'd probably reach for first.
I had a lovely brunch!! I had the cantaloupe olive oil martini and it was delightful. For food I shared the fritada, peach waffle and salmon croissant. All were delicious. Paulo (our server) was amazing and the ambiance is to die for. Can't wait to come back

I had the zucchini scramble, which wasn't anything special. I did really enjoy the pink cloud matcha, and everyone in my group enjoyed their meals and drinks. Would come back here for a girls brunch or date!
FLORA @ NORTH PARK Parking can definitely be difficult here since everything is street parking, and most spots are either paid or have a two-hour limit. This breakfast spot is super popular in North Park, so I was really excited to finally try it out. I came for a friend's birthday with a party of over 20 people, and once everyone arrived, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a preset menu for the reservation that included pastries, fruit, French toast, and one entrée item that each guest could choose. The pastries were decent, though I do wish they had been a little fresher and warmer since they were slightly on the drier side. The fruit was honestly my favorite part of the starter courses, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries are always a good choice. I'm not sure if they forgot about the French toast, but our table never ended up receiving it. For my entrée, I chose the smoked salmon croissant with potatoes, and it was delicious. Everything tasted perfectly cooked, and overall I really enjoyed the dish. Unfortunately, there was a disgusting piece of hair on one of my potatoes, and it immediately made me lose my appetite. Overall, the ambiance of the place was really nice. It's a smaller spot, but very lively and fun, especially for brunch with friends.
Flora is one of the popular restaurants in trendy North Park neighborhood of San Diego. Street Parking is a challenge. It had been a long while since my last visit here. Made early reservations for brunch. Sat outside the sun shade umbrella patio nest to darling Digitalis Genus aka Foxgloves small fuschia bell shaped flowers with freckles, which I found enchanting and diminished the sight of the busy street named University. The host/hostess and servers were nice and accommodating. The server Sofia was very nice and pleasant. The menu offered limited selections for brunch, I ordered the Smoked Salmon toast and a Matcha espresso martini. Both presented appealingly and served with a smile by the handsome male servers. Smoked salmon was fresh and had lots of dill herb, pickled red onion, capers on a sourdough slice was delectable. The matcha espresso martini had a clipped on fortune cookie like message which read: You will find happiness but first you'll need another coffee,' a funny note :) The restaurant was crowded with people waiting/standing out the sidewalk for a table. So as a considerate person, I had my brunch along with some pics with my pup Fendi of course, left quicker than expected, although I would have preferred to lounge a little, perhaps have another drink. Enjoyed the brunch, appreciated the nice service and my overall dining experience was very good. Recommend
Came here with a group of 5 for a delayed Mother's Day brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious! I personally had the Berry Compote French Toast. I asked for the compote to be on the side and I'm glad I did! I'm not a huge fan of compote (it did tasted just as compote should), the French toast with the powdered sugar and the fresh berries were perfect on its own for me. The French toast was soft on the inside and had a great crisp on the outside. Everyone else said they loved their food as well. I would definitely come back!
Had such a great experience at Flora! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful, and Marcelo really made the experience stand out. He was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. He gave great recommendations and checked in on us throughout our meal. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure his guests have a great time. Amazing service from beginning to end. Definitely ask for Marcelo if you come to Flora -- we'll absolutely be back!

A calm location to eat with friends and family. Nevertheless up charge fee of 20%for a large group is just ridiculous. Service was good and friendly. Food was good but not enough for my group to pay over price. read more

The food was great! Zero complaints on it. The hollandaise sauce was so creamy and plentiful, eggs + side of potatoes cooked perfectly! Ambience is also so cute; the restaurant is pink + plant themed. However, I have to bring it down a couple stars because they are terrible at checking in. The service is very poor in this aspect. We chatted away for 30 minutes, no exaggeration, before having to mention we were ready to order to a passing server. I'm not sure if they didn't want to interrupt our conversation or what happened. I met a few girlfriends here for Sunday brunch and thankfully we had reservations otherwise it would have been quite a wait. PARKING Not great. Very limited street parking or nearby paid parking that could be $10/hour. My friends parked near Vons and said it was a 10 min walk. FOOD A few of us got the Turkish eggs and it was DELICIOUS! My friend got the açaí bowl and another got the salmon omelette. DRINKS I tried their cloud matcha with almond milk & strawberry cold foam. It was pretty good CLEANLINESS/ SERVICE The place was decorated so cute that it feels like you're transported into Spain or Italy. It was a cute touch to have the servers all wearing overalls. I do wish they had more than 2 bathrooms since there always seemed to be a line but that's not likely within their control. It did take about 10 minutes to meet our server but we chatted for a bit anyway so it all worked out. Overall, I'll definitely be back to have my husband try the Turkish eggs. Well worth the visit simply for that dish! read more

Came here on a Saturday morning at 8:45AM with my wife and there were only a couple tables with people so we were seated right away. We were done at 9:30 and it was about half full and it was so loud. We ordered the Turkish eggs, egg sandwich, and the Brie french toast bites. Everything was good and the egg sandwich was huge, but the highlight was the French toast bites. It wasn't a full on meal like you'd be used to. It's good to split with others on the side. I'd come back just for that. read more

Flora was really good! I ordered the egg sandwich with a side of extra crispy potatoes and it was fantastic. My friend ordered the same but gluten free and she also had great things to say. We did not have a restaurant and walked right in and were sat. The decor was cute, French inspired, and dainty yet modern. Their servers are a team, so we were helped by multiple people (all of whom were helpful and kind). Parking is difficult in north park, but it was worth it! Would love to go back read more

Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 We came by Flora on a weekday morning right when they opened and were actually the first ones seated, which was really nice. It was quiet and peaceful at first, but within the hour it definitely started to get busy. Parking in North Park is all street parking, but since we came early, we had no problem finding a spot about two blocks away. It was a nice little walk to the restaurant. The space itself is super aesthetic. I loved the decor. It is very pleasing to the eye, relaxing, but still colorful and fun at the same time. I went with a group of friends and I ordered the Turkish eggs and the matcha cloud. The coconut water in the matcha cloud was really good and super refreshing. The matcha itself was just OK, but overall the drink was still very delicious and refreshing. The Turkish eggs were my first time trying this dish and I was honestly so surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was very flavorful, filling, and just the right portion. It came with crispy bread, oil, chili, eggs, and yogurt, and everything worked really well together. My friends ordered different types of Benedicts and they all said theirs were OK. I think I may have enjoyed my dish a bit more. Service was friendly, and even when it got busy, our water was always refilled and we felt well taken care of. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend this spot for delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and good service. read more

First time here for brunch and had been wanting to try for a while! The salmon croissant is a highlight and coconut matcha was so refreshing! Our server Paulo was so accommodating, definitely will be coming back read more
In honor of women's month, we wanted to check out something in the area and came across this place. Thankfully we made reservations as this is a popular place on the weekends. We were seated right away which was nice. It is a bit small inside but the way they have the layout they are able to get quite a few folks in. Plus they have a small patio of seats as well. The staff were all super sweet and I loved the decor. I ordered a passion fruit mojito which was delicious. My chilaquiles weren't that great which was a bit of a bummer. I've had them many times at other places without dairy, and never had an issue with them lacking without it... but for some reason these ones seemed to be needing something... my friend really enjoyed her chicken n waffles, so maybe I just picked the wrong food choice. Overall, cute little brunch spot. I definitely will be back for that mojito. read more
Went with a large group for a birthday, service was good & attentive. Everyone agreed their food was good! My frittata was fine but lacked flavor. Most of our food came out at the same time but a few dishes came by the time we finished our food. Espresso martini was delicious but super tiny. read more
A stunning brunch spot! Right off the bat you're in a beautiful restaurant with fun colors and a gorgeous interior design. The latte they brought out was excellent. I ordered the smoked salmon croissant Benedict and the chicken and waffles. Both were really good, especially the chicken and waffles. The wait staff was great. They were super friendly and making jokes with us the whole time. The only downside is parking! Parking is very tough to come by in this spot! I ended up parking a half mile away. read more

Went again for brunch today and did not like the shakshuka. Unfortunately I felt it was pretty liquidy & the eggs felt a bit too much on the raw side from what I expected. Additionally it was way too salty. I feel the combo of olives, capers, and the dish probably already salted was too much. I wouldn't order this item again but everyone else's food seemed good! I should've gotten the sandwich which I ordered last time. read more
Flora is a cute little place with a magical interior. The customer service was evident when we first walked up to check in. The host was friendly and personable, and we struck up a conversation with the hostess who was wearing a Formula 1 hoodie. (She and my son are Red Bull, Max Verstappen fans while I'm a Mercedes, George Russell fan). The immediate vibe inside was positive, and I loved seeing everyone's food and drink choices. It definitely swayed me in my decision! I ordered the passionfruit mojito which was one of the best I've ever had. Wow!! My son had a coconut water with matcha which looked interesting. He said it was refreshing and would order it again. We shared the steak and eggs and the French toast. Both were so delicious and the portion was perfect for sharing. I have to point out that our waiter was very friendly and very attentive. He came by often refilling our water glasses and asking if everything was okay. I'm a brunch lover so it was time for Flora, a very popular spot in the North Park neighborhood. I heard about the extensive farm-to-table menu and had to try it out for myself. When I walked inside, I instantly fell in looove with the cosmopolitan atmosphere with lush, garden-like decor....sooo floral. The staff...service...and food was AMAZZZING! I recently had Turkish eggs, but I wasn't in the mood to pay for parking at the Gaslamp. North Park was the cheaper option, and I'm really glad I decided to try Flora out first. Wow, what an amazing first experience. I believe they take reservations, and my wait time without reservations for one table was 20 minutes at around 1:00PM on a Sunday. The greeter is a transplant and going to college out here, and he set the experience right with letting me know how long my wait was and where I was at in line. Once seated, it took less than five minutes for someone to come out, bring water, and take my order. The dish was simply amazing. I'm a huge fan of Turkish eggs now with the yogurt and chili flakes. I have no idea what makes this dish authentic, but my taste buds have no doubt! This place is poppin by the way. From what I heard, there were customers walking up with reservations the whole time I was there, and party was as large as nine. Since I've moved here over a year ago, Flora has by far, provided one of the best experiences ever for ambiance and food quality. I've told my friends to come down! read more

I came here with a friend on a weekday around lunchtime, so we didn't need a reservation and were able to walk right in. Parking in North Park is always a bit tricky though, so definitely plan ahead. Their cocktail menu was really good, we got the peach jalapeño margarita and the passion fruit mojito, and both were honestly 5/5. We also shared the Nutella crepe, which I'd probably rate around a 3.5/5. A lot of the other menu items looked really good too. Service was quick, and our waiter was friendly and checked in on us often. The whole place has a cute, slightly dressy vibe and it's definitely a nice spot for a date, girls night, or brunch. read more
I've walked by this place many times and had been wanting to try it, so my friend brought me here to celebrate my birthday brunch. The inside has lots of seating, but it was very busy on Sunday morning -- I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. There are a few tables outside, but this is really the kind of place where the atmosphere is part of the experience. The interior is colorful, vibrant, and very cute. I ordered the steak burrito, and it was massive. The meat was tender and flavorful, though with the salsa it was a bit too salty for my taste. It came with crispy baked potatoes, which were really good. My friend ordered the chilaquiles with carnitas -- also a generous portion -- and she really enjoyed it. I also ordered the Pink Cloud matcha. I'm pretty picky about matcha and usually don't expect much from restaurants, but this one surprised me. It wasn't overly sweet and had a nice creamy balance. Our server was friendly and the food came out quickly. I'd come back again and would probably split an entrée next time so I can try some of their sweet dishes. read more
Went here for a Birthday Brunch on Sunday. Loved the vibe! The workers wear overalls which I thought was really cool. The food here is really good! The drinks are cute and come with cute little sayings attached. Everyone who worked there wad super nice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my food came out about 10 min after the rest of my party. The manager did comp it though so that was nice. I would definitely eat here again read more

Flora located in North Park, street parking only. Very pretty venue and customer service is great! Big enough venue to hold large groups of people for breakfast or brunch. I ordered the chicken and waffle. I had them put all the lettuce and condiments on the side. I guess the original construction of this dish is a waffle with boneless chicken cutlet that comes with a type of salad on top of the cutlet...I'm assuming. Needless to say, waffle was good and chicken cutlet was ok. I probably should have ordered my original choice of the "Grilled Chicken Panino" or the "Steak Sandwich". read more
Came here with my friend last Saturday weekend and we're so glad we made a resy. The place was packed at noon! We were promptly seated after checking in. It's located on a busy main street so definitely plan for extra time to look for parking. They decorated the restaurant for the holidays and you can feel that Christmas spirit. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. The only downside was it got pretty loud, definitely keep this in mind if you're looking for a quiet, intimate spot! Eggs were perfectly poached and the side of mixed berries were super fresh! I was worried it'll be the basic honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple mix fruit bowl and soo glad it wasn't ! - Chilaquiles with carnitas (5/5) - I normally don't like carnitas but they char/crisp the meat, giving it a more complex flavor and texture. Would def order this again! - Peach & Jalapeno Margarita (5/5) - Perfectly balanced, fruity, refreshing, and not too sweet. This is such a cute spot for breakfast. Excellent service, everyone is super friendly, warm and welcoming. They are quick and checked in on us multiple times which we appreciate. On their website, it says there's a happy hour from 4 to 5 PM but their hours say that they close at 3 o'clock so I'm just confused when does happy hour happen?
They used to have longer business hours with Happy Hour but not anymore. They close at 3pm...only do brunch now.
How are the parking options when dining here?
Parking is a challenge. I drove around for about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning and found one in a residential area about a 7 minute walk to the restaurant. My dining partners paid to park their car nearby.
