Grilled Turkey Sandwich (sub'd fries with salad)
    Pat F.

Dined here for lunch the other day with two pals and had a great time! Service was beyond excellent! Yelp shout out to Ben, one of the FTC managers who visited us at our table and was both hospitable and helpful. He gave us his favorite items as well as what's most popular. Two of us ordered their Grilled Turkey sandwich with side salad (instead of fries). I can't recall what my other buddy ordered but he couldn't finish it and told the rest to-go. Sat in their covered patio and it was a great day so it was perfect. I also ordered a cold brew and a blackberry mocktail, both of which were tasty & refreshing. Food quantity was adequate, prices reasonable, my order was served hot and fresh. Restrooms were clean, all in all, no complaints. Most of my visits here have been for breakfast, so this lunch visit was a new and pleasant one for me.

YUM. I love Fig Tree Cafe. The yogurt bowl is so good and everyone loves the burritos. The staff is nice, coffee is great and patio is wonderful.

Fig Tree Cafe at Liberty Station has such a cute vibe and a great location. The food was okay, nothing bad, just a bit underwhelming compared to what I expected. The mimosa flight was pretty basic as well, nothing too special. That said, our server was absolutely top notch, super attentive, friendly and really made the experience enjoyable. The great service definitely made up for the food!

Wanted a super-local San Diego, semi-chain artisanal breakfast spot (two locations -- does that count as a chain?), and this place checked all the boxes. It was the perfect healthy, non-oily carb breakfast I needed before walking all day at the San Diego Safari Park. The lemon ricotta pancakes had the perfect balance of sweet and tart, the omelet's sautéed vegetables added a great crunch, and their signature Fig Tree Blend coffee was a fun touch served in their own personal mugs -- which I actually considered buying from the merch section. The menu has a variety of interesting, modern options that definitely make me want to return. It's not cheap (but what is affordable anywhere lately?), so you're paying for the flavor.

This trip Ingot the Crispy Pork Belly and Grits, with a side of Man Candy! Soooo Goood! The grits had the perfect consistency. The Man Candy is delicious! The wife got the Quinoa Salad and loved it. She gets it every time she comes here. Our server, Joey, did a great job explaining things and taking care of us. Thanks Joey!!! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and sitting outside was perfect for our group! My father in law got a spicy Bloody Maria and added A slice of Man Candy (Bacon with Brown sugar and paprika). He loved it!!! We will definitely be back! Cheers!

Breakfast sushi!! Two words you need to know. Order it and you won't regret. I do recommend asking for the plum sauce on the side. It was a lot of sauce. Also you get three huge pieces. I recommend coming here with someone else order this and another plate to share. The service was slow and our waitress didn't update us until later that they were having kitchen issues. Overall a lovely restaurant. They have plenty of options for dairy and gluten free people.

Came for a work luncheon. Great area of course with ample free parking. They seated our group of 9 well. The menu is pretty simple and I can tell by the hot sauce on the table they are affiliated with another restaurant chain (I'm thinking breakfast republic? Rooster on the bottle). Staff was excellent and friendly. I got a delicious hot chocolate and the traditional Benedict (one in English muffin and one on focaccia). This came with potatoes as was good but nothing amazing to me. I do prefer it on the English muffin. I feel like I should've ordered something else. Everyone's food did look delicious. I'd come back for maybe the breakfast burrito or grilled cheese. They have another location near hazard center as well.

*great service *casual ambiance * yummy food Been here a few times, always for breakfast, and it's a great brunch spot when you're in Liberty Station. Sundays can get busy, but I've never waited more than about 20 minutes. Their hibiscus lemonade is delicious, and I ordered the chipotle chilaquiles they are super tasty, especially with over-medium eggs. Service is great and prompt every time. Definitely a solid spot to come for breakfast or brunch when you're in the area.

I recently visited Fig Tree Cafe with a large party of 11 at Liberty Station, and overall it was a mixed experience. We called ahead and were quoted a 30-minute wait, but when we arrived, we ended up waiting a little over an hour. It was clear they were busy, but it was disappointing to see other groups being seated while we continued to wait. Once seated, it seemed like there may have only been one server handling multiple tables. Service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very attentive either we didn't get check-ins for things like extra napkins or refills unless we flagged someone down. That said, the food was honestly the highlight. Everything we ordered was delicious. The fig and ricotta French toast with lemon was especially good definitely a standout. For a large group, not all dishes came out at the same time, so just be prepared for a staggered service. We were there for about two hours total, so between the wait time and the pacing of service, it does require some patience. Overall: * Food: 10/10 * Service: 8/10 * Wait time: longer than expected Would I come back? Maybe but I'd definitely come prepared for a wait. On a positive note, being at Liberty Station really adds to the experience. The atmosphere, views, and variety of nearby spots make it a great place to spend the day, even if this particular visit had a few hiccups.

This is a wonderful breakfast spot tucked away in Liberty Station. We shared the burrito and short rib Benedict, both were amazing! The salsa and hot sauce options were great too. Our server knew it was one of our birthdays and he brought us out a delicious coffee cake. The outdoor patio is great for seating and it's well decorated. Great brunch vibes.

French toast sampler. Banana fosters is the best!

Great food and hospitality. Was actually planning to go to Breakfast Republic but so glad we didn't. Can't wait to go back to the Fig Tree Cafe. Alan you're the best!!

I actually ate at the location that unfortunately shut down. It was super cute inside and in a nice central downtown spot. I typically get eggs Benedict at breakfast places and this was one of the best I've had! The potatoes were pretty tasty as well even though I prefer traditional shredded hashbrowns

    Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately no. You have to go and enter your number in the waitlist. Unless they have changed something from this Aug.

Can Fig Tree accommodate a large breakfast group - ~30 people?

They have multiple locations but tbh this would take up the whole restaurant to sit together so i would say no not really

Is breakfast served till closing time at 3 PM?

    Yes

    Outside sitting are dogs allowed?

    Yes!

Does the whole party have to be present before seating?

    Yes

Do you have a corkage fee if I want to bring my own champagne bottle for brunch?

Though we don't allow outside bottles, we welcome you to try our Fig Tree Cafe Prosecco. Enjoy as is, or with our carafe of fresh squeezed Oj :)

Are there mimosa flights? And how much do they cost?

Yes there are! Not sure on price, but they're good sized and range in flavors.

    Do you need reservations?

Hi! We’re actually on a first come first serve basis and don’t accept reservations.

Why no more dinners all of a sudden? Fig Tree Liberty Station was our favorite dinner place!

WHAT???? Oh, no!!! Hope you get an answer, for me, too!

    Has this place changed ownership?

I don't know. I only know that they have a new kitchen manager.

The reservation was for 5:30, luckily a block away there's a parking lot (you do have to pay) as their personal parking lot fits 5-6 cars. The hostess was a sweetheart and super accommodating, as we were a few minutes late due to the parking situation and we had a great seat that showed the open layout with the chandelier, the back panel by the entrance with all the stars, etc. Overall: Service, exceptional. (5/5) Our waitress: Kelly, was a sweetheart, informative, mindful on consistent check-in's for refills, drinks, going over steps of the menu (e.g. - small bites, entrees, dessert, didn't feel rushed or too pushy, and considerate on time, and promptness). The waiter that came by mid-video to do the torch component of the butters we added on to our meats was great, I love that it's table side because it enhances the experience to the ambiance and you can squeeze a little video in. If you do go for your birthday, as I did, they provide you with a dessert outside of their choices, however, we did overindulge a bit. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience for my birthday dinner, the music/ambiance was great, service was great, and the food quality for both the meat choices we got, sides (caesar salad, broccoli, and macaroni) we're all SO yummy! I will definitely be back!

Back downstairs for the show and I've gotta give their staff props, they did a great job sweeping through the crowd and picking up empty drinks throughout the night. I yelled, "MOTHER!" by accident and then he did truly leave me hahaha. He resurfaced a few minutes later, and then we walked in. It was 5:15 at the time, so 15 minutes after opening. I had NO IDEA how popular this spot was, nor anything about its nation-wide reputation. I actually didn't know that until two days ago when a Yelp-friend at home here in Richmond, Virginia, exclaimed excitedly when I told her we stopped in. The host who greeted us was kind, informed us there had been a line to get in that day, but that they had one barrel left; we jumped on it of course. It was happy hour, so the first cocktail I ordered was dirt cheap at $9. It was the Imperial Hawaiian with gin, rum, lemon, pineapple, and orgeat. I really shouldn't have ordered a second drink after that one, but I did have the classic Saturn later on in the night and it was absurdly good! Definitely my favorite of the two. The moody tiki vibe was so cool and fun. They even had frogs you could play on the tables. We had some fun neighbors too, which livened up the experience even more. The space itself is very small and tucked inside another venue, but that honestly adds to the charm. It's dimly lit with a unique, immersive vibe--think jungle-inspired with eclectic decor. At one point, there were rumbling sounds and subtle vibrations through the chairs, which made the whole experience feel interactive and different from your typical bar. The drinks were creative and fun (one of my friends even kept the drink garnish as a collectible), and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout. It's definitely more about the ambiance and experience than anything else. I'd come back again--especially around the holidays to see how they switch up the decor.
