I dined with my neighbor for Girl's Breakfast early on MLK. She came here with her parents over the holidays and said this is a must try spot for me. I'm not a huge breakfast person but I trust her. Very cute location, decor is charming and it very spacious to accommodate guests inside and out. Our server was darling, super helpful and had a great sense of humor. My neighbor ordered a breakfast burrito and I got the Lemon Ricotta Pancake with Blueberry Compote on the side by request. We received our drinks shortly after he took our order. Food was served within 15 minutes. My eyes grew big, I asked if they had to deliver my pancake with a forklift because it was larger than my face. It was a good call just to order 1. There was citrusy bits of lemon zest in the fluffy batter. It was a pleasant surprise in each bite. I totally intended to each just half but somehow the whole pancake disappeared. Service was great! There are plenty of options, I was actually eyeing the Benedicts so will come back for that!

I was in the area yesterday and decided to try this place for brunch. On a Saturday at 11:30 we were able to get in right away. We got the real thang beef burger as well as the breakfast pizza. Both were great, the burger was cooked well, still very juicy. And the pizza had a lot of flavor and had a great cheese pull! Service was alright. The restaurant itself was cute, old fashioned and the stained glass window inside was really pretty.

I hadn't been here in years so I was thrilled when a friend suggested we meet for lunch. We both had the stir-fried rice and shared a lemon ricotta pancake. Both were perfect. The place is cute and the employees were wonderful. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more items on the menu.

We arrived as a party of 4 on a wednesday around 11am and we were immediately seated. We chose a table outside. Fortunately we could move the sun umbrellas to block most of the sun. The servers were super friendly but service overall was pretty slow. It took a while for the food and then the check. I loved the tres egg scrambles - Chili crusted tofu, basil & asiago cheese. There are great vegetarian and gluten free options. The chilaquiles was also very good. They recommended it with the green sauce. We found street parking a few blocks away.

Was invited to catch breakfast here and was surprised I've never heard of this cute venue/restaurant. Outside and inside of this small spot is very open and staff treated us well. Parking can be tricky depending on the time you go. You make be looking for a spot for a while. Had the chocolate mocha and truly enjoyed the sweet flavors. The menu has a variety of items to choose from which can be overwhelming but I ended up choosing a salad. Salad was basic. Nothing too special. Dressing was ok. Cool place to meet friends or a date for a bite to eat and chat for sure. I like how open the restaurant is and the level of calmness you feel there. Although I wasn't a fan of the food, I do feel that the place has good vibes. Perhaps it's worth a try to go back and try something else next time.

I had never been here. A friend said it is his "home" and wanted me to enjoy it. So off we went. We were seated immediately and our server, Thea, was amazing. She knew the menu and helped to guide me to some great choices. The lobster risotto was beyond compare. Lots of lobster and oh so yummy. The fish with the lemon caper sauce was out of this world. Soooooo great. And while not cheap. It is worth the price for the quality and level of service. I had some left overs and they even wrote on the lid what was inside and the date. Well done and very much worth the trip.

Adorable neighborhood eatery, indoor and outdoor seating. Service was impressive, really appreciate good service. Our waiter was so nice and helpful with all the items on the vast menu. Everything on the menu looked worth trying. My daughter ordered the chilaquiles with a flat iron steak, over easy eggs. The homemade corn chips were the nice thick kind, the sauce was a mix to me of Adobe and mole, thick with so much flavor and spice; beyond my imagination. The spice definitely lasted on the tongue, ha ha. Fresh guacamole, perfectly pickled purple onions, cilantro and cotija cheese. Worth ordering. I ordered the PH salad with grilled chicken, raspberry vinaigrette, sliced almonds, mixed greens, sliced cherry tomatoes with homemade bread. I would order it again. The iced latte was delish! I would love to return and try other items on the menu!

Really delicious, and hidden spot in University Heights. Came on a Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by their diverse menu. The PAN FRIED LINGUINI W/ EGG was innovative and delicious The CHILAQUILES W/ GREEN SAUCE was tangy and delicious PARK HOUSE BENEDICT came with a very cool potato tower and was super good. Worth a visit.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a bday. They were fast to get us a table and give us a nice place for more privacy. The service is Freud my and super fast. I really loved my hibiscus margarita, I also ordered the pizza breakfast and it was PERFECTION. I'd come back any day to have it again. I truly recommend it. Very positive experience at the Parkhouse eatery.

Churro Pancake free for birthday girl wheee!!
    Lynn R.

My April birthday girlfriend, and I went to our annual lunch at Park House eatery to celebrate and this year I chose the churro pancake soaking in condensed milk for my free birthday treat. I usually don't eat such an indulgent item for lunch, but I decided that this year I would do just that. My friend had her usual chicken salad that she adores and it was. As delicious as ever. Esteban was our waiter and you can't get a more exuberant and joyful waiter than Esteban. He repeatedly wished me a happy birthday and made my lunch extra special with his personal touch. My pancake came with a little candle that was lit and I felt quite special. This place is a jam and I hope it continues to thrive and remain the special place that it is! Sometimes parking can be a challenge because there's so many wonderful places along Park Avenue to eat and walk and they have put in more parking meters than ever, but there are many neighborhood areas that you can park in and walk from but you might have to walk a little ways more than you thought so be prepared. A shout out also to Evelyn the hostess with the most and Lewis who served me With his big smile. Just a happy place !

Our first time here and we LOVED this place!!! The service was really incredible- so nice, kind and lots of smiles. That's a great sign, that this is a great place to work. Our food was really good. We had the Avocado Toast with Eggs and Bacon and the Carnitas Stuffed Polenta Cakes (total WOW flavors) We were so happy with our meal we will make this a regular stop from this point forward. Parking is medium challenging so we parked on the next street back and enjoyed the walk. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

A University Heights gem - ParkHouse Eatery is serving brunch and dinner in its outdoor patio, day-lit living room, and in their fireplace hearth room. AMBIANCE The spaces feel casual-eclectic with the bar being on the modern side. For outdoor seating, beware of the springtime winds causing tree ornaments to drop onto the table. SERVICE Friendly and knowledgeable. FOOD 5/5 Carnitas Stuffed Roasted Polenta Cake: Tender house made carnitas between crisp polenta cakes, smoked mozzarella con tomato, house made ranchero salsa with a slight kick, and two soft scrambled eggs. 4.5/5 Tres Eggs scrambled with flavorful ingredients: diced Portuguese sausage, apple-smoked bacon, carnitas, pepperoncini, diced red onion and cheddar cheese. Rosemary potatoes are soft, crisp, and fragrant

Yes, I will be there next month with my whole gang celebrating with me on my special day! Our reservations were early, arriving on time @ 5:30 it was a bit quiet with only two other tables, but not for long. In no time every single table was filled. The restaurant was busy and the wine was a'flowin'! This quaint and very special restaurant reminds me of a small restaurant in San Diego in the 1980's, "Ciao Bella". It was located downtown on 4th Ave., it was also chef-owned. When you dine at a chef owned restaurant you are most likely destined for greatness, or a great meal! This is the case at Angela's Kitchen 'Carbon', because there is pure authenticity in her dishes and a whole lotta' love delivered in each plate. The subtle, warm decor is welcoming and the music is played at the perfect level. Just the right ambiance. Once seated, you'll be promptly greeted and the attentive wait staff will have your wine delivered pronto. What a selection they have. I started with the prosecco and moved on to the Sangiovese which complimented my pappardelle perfectly. My friend ordered the grilled salmon and had the Montepulciano Abate Pietro. The delivery of their fresh bread with garlicky pesto, and another with tomato, which I think was a focaccia. Just amazing. We asked for olive oil to compliment the bread: it was the very best of quality with a dark Sicilian olive green hue and the smoothness with the polyphenols and antioxidants dancing in my mouth. Yum! I asked for a side of Parmigiano and they brought a nice square ramekin full of finely grated cheese, Perfection!! These are the details that make me fall in love with a restaurant, causing me to return again and again. Both of our entrees were executed perfectly, the vegetables were grilled leaving a slight char, and the salmon was grilled just right leaving a tender center. My pappardelle was dressed in the deepest, richest mushroom + beef cheek fusion of flavors with whispers of some kind of red wine like maybe the Nero d'Avola that they feature on the menu. WoW!! This is a dish that you want to take your time savoring. Every bite surpassed the last, and then a sip of the Sangiovese and I was in fresh pasta heaven. Just when we were winding down and reeling from being overwhelmed by the amazing food, Angela came to our table with cannoli. It too was amazing! This was such a kind and unexpected gesture from the chef/owner. Grazie mille, a domani!

The inside is gorgeous and there's a spot especially for dogs outside. Their outdoor seating with patio is beautiful! This place is absolutely divine! At this point, I dont really care about how the food tastes. Lol! Let's start off with the one problem i had with this place. The parking!!! It took me 20m to find parking and im not about to park my car on the street. I have precious dogs! Lol kidding. I just couldn't find any parking on the street or in the block! I suppose i came during lunch which is probably really busy. When I left, there were quite a few opened parking spots. This place is connected to an apartment complex surrounding retail stores. The leasing building is right next to Gravity Heights. I used to rent a 4k+ a month apartment in a retail area and let me tell you, its a hassle to find parking and not take a retail parking spot without having your complex email you everyday about your car potentially being towed lol! I understand this pain. Now that we are past that, let's get to why this place deserves 5 stars. The service is excellent! My server came around at the perfect times and they seem to really care if I enjoyed my meal! The stellar atmosphere with attentive service is enough for me! I got a gravity burger protein style which I dont think did the burger justice. I was going to eat with my husband later at a Vietnamese restaurant and I can only choose one carb for the day. My diabetic life is tough! Lol. I chose the Cesar salad to go with my burger. My burger was delicious bc of the caramelized onions. I didn't really taste a sauce in the burger but the excellent bacon with the much needed caramelized onions made the burger fantastic! The IPA hazy beer i had with my meal was also light and mellow. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and meal. My babies also enjoyed their burger! The weather was perfect today and it was a nice time and to think I was not going to eat here bc the parking definitely was a huge deterrent. Next time ill bring human company!

We also ordered some oysters, the shrimp aguachile, and the smashburger to share which were all tasty. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and checked up on us. Overall a successful happy hour visit and would visit again as they seem to have a rotating menu.

The decor is beautiful with greenery around the restaurant and the food even comes in cast iron pans or on wooden slabs. My husband and I came on a weekday for the happy hour. They sat us right away and allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit. The waiter and waitress were great. They were super helpful, prompt, and went back and forth between the bar and our table. We ordered off the happy hour menu and got a flatbread, pretzel platter, and truffle fries. It was surprisingly very filling. The flatbread was more pizza like in my opinion with a doughier crust but with a lot of flavor and not too heavy. The fries were delicious with truffle and garlic flavors. The waiter gave us a side of their Caesar dressing as well as we asked for ranch and this was closest thing they had to it. It also came with another aioli like sauce that I really liked too. The pretzel was huge and came with two sauces- a cheese sauce and a honey mustard butter like dip. The butter was whipped and surprisingly nice with a hint of sweetness that balanced the mustard taste. The pretzel itself was a bit dry so the sauces were very necessary. My husband also ordered a beer from the happy hour menu but got charged the regular price. We didn't realize until after we already had our card swiped but it wasn't a big difference so we just paid it since everything was already pretty cheap. But will be checking the charges before we pay next time just in case! Overall, great experience at One Door North with delicious food. I think I will be back for some more adventures here!

I have been wanting to come to Trust for so long and when my friends had suggested we had our…read morebrunch date I said yes. We came on Easter Sunday and was a lucky that I live close enough and had my husband drop me and friends off. To start we got their season sticky bun which was their carrot cake and we each ordered a cocktail, we got an order of espresso martinis which were little but mighty, they were so smooth and flavorful too. For my meal, I got the fried pork cutlet, whenever I see a porkchop I always order it. First, the carrot cake sticky bun, is INSANE that was the most delicious sticky bun I have ever eaten and just looking at the photos on my phone I am absolutely craving it. Sharing it between three girls is ideal but I would have definitely ordered my own. My porkchop was perfect, it comes with a sunny side eggs and potatoes. The porkchop was so incredibly tender and flavorful and that gravy is just perfect. I want that for my dinner tonight, I also tried my friends Albacore tartare which was pretty flavorful and was just refreshing for how warm it was. Definitely would like to come here for dinner with my husband!

Service: Our server was friendly and attentive. Food: we ordered the stuffed French toast, baked eggs and simple breakfast. The French toast was not actually stuffed, as I expected, but topped with apples and toppings. It was a think piece of brioche bread and the dish was tasty and not too sweet. I was disappointed in the baked eggs, as I really didn't get much egg out of it. I shared it with my husband and while it did have a lot of flavors, it was overwhelmingly chickpeas and tomato sauce for me. The sourdough bread was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. We ordered the simple breakfast with bacon for our son because they don't have a kids menu and it was perfect for him. I do with we ordered the ultimate sticky bun, which is their speciality, but will have to try that another time. Parking is a real challenge as there is only street parking. There was also a Sunday farmers market going on, which likely contributed.
