Came here to support Kristeen, Sundays are for the Dogs in the late afternoon. They held a raffle benefiting Healing Tails. Great open and spacious outdoor area. Stitch and I pop in to grab a pretzel. The inside was charming. Lots a variety of beers on tap. Ever stay member was friendly. You never know what you will find in North Park. This was a lucky score hidden in the Arts District. We needed a place to have a quick snack and this place called us over with its big outdoor patio and open air seating. We walked in and could not believe the revolving tap list. They definitely have a beer for everyone's choice. The pretzel menu was also a pleasure to peruse and we knew we had to try one. This is their specialty as these pretzels are hand rolled with influences from Germany, Philadelphia and NY. They serve them with your choice of beer dipping sauce and cheese. We decided on the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. It was huge and by far the best tasting pretzel I think I have ever tasted. Soft and great texture. You could tell great care was taken in the creation of this pretzel and so yummy with the cheese. They also offer signature pretzel pizzas, pretzel sandwiches and other pub grub. Service was helpful and the restaurant is very clean. Happy Hour is offered daily M-F 3:00 - 6:00pm. Great place to watch a game too as lots of big screens. Pretzels & Pints has been one of my absolute favorite spots since they opened (as California Tap Room) back in 2016! It is always a stop when I have friends visiting. They always have an extensive tap list of local beers, as well as seltzers and NA options as well. The pretzels, sandwiches, pizzas are all delicious. On top of that, the staff is top notch and some of the friendliest folks around. Having the outdoor space is great, but when it's really warm out, their AC is fantastic. I wanted to meet up with a good friend and I wanted a place that had cool vibes and some good beers on tap. Decided to visit Pretzels & Pints in North Park and what a great choice made. Kicked back with some great conversations with my friend, enjoyed some great brews, a pretzel and finished it off with some tastily nachos. The service was unbelievable, I felt both welcomed and appreciated. As an added bonus this place is "dog friendly" and they support the North Park Little League to a large extent! I cannot speak to the pints, but the pretzels are on point! We ordered the NY style and the Bavarian. Both had a nice texture and the Bavarian remained chewy when reheated even two days later. I came here on a Tuesday just in time for happy hour. This is one of those places that I have known about for a long time but never made the time to actually go. Loved visiting on a Friday during happy hour. My husband and I wanted to catch the Padres game and enjoy beers and this place was perfect for it. There are a ton of TVs both inside and outdoors on the patio. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful as we chose what to order. We got draft beers ($2 off during happy hour) and the jumbo pretzel with honey mustard and ground mustard. YUM! If you don't know, this is a Phillys bar through and through. As someone from NJ it kind of felt like home to be transported back east considering all of the decor, pretzels, Italian ice, and overall vibes. Yall should really make the process of ordering a pretzel less complex. I waited at the bar patiently for the bartenders attention and was ignored. After being ignored I see a worker at the pretzel counter and say "Can I order a pretzel to go" she says "Order at the bar" I go back to the bar and say "Excuse me" to the bartender to get ignored again. So I walked out. Get a 'to go' area for the pretzels, separate from the bar service if the bar service is going to be obviously busy. That would just make the most sense. read more

It is in the heart of North Park, and parking can be the expected bear, but I believe they have a parking lot (not sure if it's for them or neighbors though). Came to check this place out for their Wednesday bingo nights, and just to relax and throw down some beer and pretzels, although I decided to be "healthy" by skipping the beer and just trying their food this time. The place has a chill vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating areas, with the outdoor space being dog-friendly. Looks like they have other events too like trivia on Tuesdays! MEAT LOVERS PIZZA PRETZEL: Pretty tasty, just the right amount of sauce and the pretzel was a good texture. I just wish there could have been more meat, it didn't really feel like meat lovers to me. Also came with chips, a pickle slice, and a pepperoncini. The chips you get might be random since I noticed my friend got barbeque flavored while I got regular chips. Maybe you can request what chips you get too but not sure! The pizza looked small, but with all the sides I ended up pretty full after finishing everything. Overall not bad, but it's pretty pricey for what it is, even for bar food. BINGO: You get 2 free cards and one additional card for each beer purchase! Each round of bingo progresses with various rules (such as straight line, four corners, X, blackout) with possible winners for each rule. Once all the rules have been cycled through, the round concludes, and you can swap your cards out for new ones. Not sure how many rounds they do as we only stuck around for one round. Sadly I didn't win anything, but my friend won a shirt! PARKING: It's North Park so street parking can always be a challenge, but since we came on a weeknight, it didn't take too long to find a spot within a few blocks. Overall, a pretty fun experience! They have their pretzels on display but you order everything at the bar. The bar had a few visiting breweries on tap! After you order, you get a number tag - there was a mixup for one of our friend's orders but it got resolved. Took around 15 minutes for food to start coming out. Bingo started a bit late, and the rounds went slower than expected so it ended up being later than we'd hoped. - FOOD - I would definitely eat before coming, or plan to eat after. Their sandwiches are not very big at all, and many of our friends ended up wanting more food after eating here. Their pretzels are nice and soft though! The Philly: I only tried two Pretzels, The Philly and the Munich. I prefer the Philly as I liked the thicker dough. Been coming here since I moved to San Diego in 2016 from the Lehigh Valley in PA. What started as a quick place to check out has become my favorite local spot. More than just a Philly bar, it's an amazing meet up spot for events, before a show, to catch a game, or just to socialize with warm and friendly people. Really fast service, don't need a reservation, and easy to mingle inside and on the outside patio. Also, get their Munich pretzels with the beer cheese and honey mustard. Lost a bet so was dragged to this place to watch an Eagles game. Watching Philly fans be happy is my version of hell. And since this is a Philadelphia bar. There were tons of them. That being said. The bar and atmosphere was surprisingly not too bad. The crowd was spirited and passionate. It could have easily teetered on obnoxious but it was fine. About 16 beers to choose from. Had four of them. I wasn't fond of any of them except for the blackberry jam cider. I could drink that all day every day. Parking sucks. It's nestled in North Park so you'll never find anything good or remotely close since there's a cluster of businesses there and everyone competing for parking. Outside of the bar isn't well lit. If it wasn't for the music, I would have walked past it. Once inside, getting to the bar was odd. You have to line up single file in the middle of the bar which if it's long enough will wrap around itself like the 80s Nokia game of snake. Found myself bump into everyone and ask random people if they are in line for a drink. The food. Don't do it. I rather head to target and get clearance item food than eat here. But if you're too hungry, make sure you get nice and tipsy so you don't have to really taste the food. Only thing I'd get moving forward is the pretzels. It ain't good. Mine came out dry but it's the only average thing on the menu. It's a 2.5 star place. I imagine it's a place I'd go to if someone was late and I needed to kill time. As the name suggests, this place specializes in home-made pretzels for all its menu and has a large variety of beers and seltzers. It's also a huge Eagles bar and I highly recommend attending a Sunday game here during the season for the best experience! My better half gets together with her close friends about once a month to eat somewhere and to catch up. I'm usually accompanying her not to hang out with her friends, but to be her Uber driver. This time they were eating at Tribute Pizza in North Park, so I was trying to find a place to eat at and hang out to waste some time. Thank God, I stumbled upon Pretzels & Pints (P&P). Not only is it a cool place to chillax and beat the heat, but it also serves some delicious grub. P&P is located in North Park, which is pretty competitive considering the several popular eateries in the surrounding area. The restaurant is just down the road from Target and North Park Beer Co. It is next to Salvage Salon and across the street from the Army Navy Store Bargain Center and Verbatim Books. As you enter P&P, you see odes to iconic stuff from Philadelphia like Rocky Balboa, Philadelphia sports teams, colleges from Philly, and other knick knacks that hearken to Pennsylvania. There are also other decor that reminds you of the city we reside in, so just sitting in P&P makes for a fun experience looking at everything. There are several televisions that had sports showing, there's a pinball machine, and beer drinkers will have many beer choices to choose from. There is indoor table top seating with comforting AC and outdoor seating. They have a private parking lot and there's street parking. The gentleman who helped me behind the bar on Sunday after 6pm was friendly and provided quality customer service. I've been blessed to visit Philadelphia two times and never thought of Philadelphia to be a city known for its pretzels. When I visited the City of Brotherly Love, I made sure to chow down on a Philly cheesesteak and a pork sandwich. I'm a pretzel fan, so I was looking forward to trying P&P's pretzels. To enjoy one of their pretzels, you order from the bar, the kind gentlemen who helped me provided me with a number, and another customer service friendly employee brought out the pretzel I ordered. P&P has a simple menu that is primarily focused on serving pretzels and they have a good selection of beers, but I'm not a beer drinker. I know my buddies would be interested in their selection of beer. After perusing their menu, I decided to order their Meat Lovers Pretzel Pizza which is two opened faced pretzels topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, bacon, hot calicos, and pepperoni. The pizza is served with a bag of chips, pickle, and pepperoncini. I also enjoy eating pizza, but pizza on a pretzel is on another level. The pizza came out fresh and hot, the cheese was melted, they aren't stingy with the toppings, and it was hearty. From the first bite to the last, it was tasty and yummy. The menu says a bag of chips, but I didn't see the bag when my food came out. I enjoyed the chips, the pickle, and the pepperoncini. I had a great first time experience at Pretzels & Pints. 4.5 stars for delicious food and quality customer service, but I wish there was more of that delectable pizza, more of their chips, more of that pickle, and more of that pepperoncini. I plan on taking my family here, so I can try more of their menu. read more

We had a great time at pretzels & pints! There was a dog adoption event going on so it did seem a bit busier than usual. Love seeing businesses collaborate with animal rescues! They have a decent variety of drinks and it was easy to order with the bartender. It has a sports bar feel to the bar so I'm sure this would be a great place to watch a game! We ordered the pretzel grilled cheese and unfortunately it was lukewarm so not quite as satisfying as I would hope but I could definitely see the potential.
