This place is everything you'd hope for in a downtown Gaslamp bar: welcoming, lively, and just downright fun. What truly sets it apart though? The people. Massive shoutout to LEXI, the bartender whose energy and warmth transformed our evening, and EUGENE, part of the staff team who made sure everything ran smoothly. Their enthusiasm and genuine hospitality are the reasons I'll keep coming back. I literally went Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday because I wanted to see Lexi and Eugene. Bonus points for their perfect Guinness draft pours (yes, the kind that hits the spot every time) and the surprisingly delicious house-made peanut butter shots, a quirky but unforgettable treat. Can't wait to return!!

Damn so this is what its like for a city to have a night life. We stubbled upon this pub when trying to get into one of the "poppin'" ones with the hella long ass lines. Gaslamp when we went for a bach party was CRACKIN'. Hella people and it was just a random weekend. We saw this Irish pub and was just the best of times. The interior is pretty narrow and at the back there is a stage for a live band. Not sure what the schedule or regular music is but the blues was just PERFECT. Prices weren't too bad and the bartender was quick with it considering a packed night. Would definitely come back here if I was local. It was also a nice break for the bar hopping because it was chill yet packed compared to the other pricey fancy looking spots.

He's there at least once a month.

Odd that nobody was in the pub the Sunday night we came in for a few drinks except a bartender, his trainee, and a security guard who had just washed away some vomit off the sidewalk. The cozy place was nice and dark (thanks to a dimmer switch according to the training we witnessed), the main light coming from the TV playing Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Plus, they had a ukulelist playing modern hits with live looping just like the authentic pubs of Ireland.

Live music here!

I stumbled into Patrick's after hearing reggae music from outside. It happened to be happy hour, and the drinks were great with a nice vibe. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service from Armando. I'll definitely be back because of him.

Came here twice during our week long stay in SD. We always love a good Irish bar and this was no exception. My bf loves that we can reliably find Miller Lite, I love the selection of Irish whiskies though I usually opt for Red Breast. Also, who can resist a good pint o' Guinness! The bartenders were what made this place. Angela is loud and sassy and so funny and friendly. We had a great time talking to her and she was full of life! Jo was so sweet and great. When I decided to try a High Noon for the first time and she could see I was meh about it, she brought me some fruit to add to it to make it more delicious. She poured a delightfully strong old fashioned and gave us some great dinner recommendations. Irish bars are the best bars, and we loved Patrick's! Cheers!

Two pints pls!

Small spot with a fun vibe! Drinks are average priced. Seating was tight but worth it for a pop in visit. Service was quick and easy!

Good vibes and service. Prices are a bit ridiculous. $12.50 for a pint of Guinness and $18 Irish car bombs.

Ask the Community - Patrick's Gaslamp Pub

Are they a Buffalo Bills Bar?

Yes we are.

Do they let minors in?

Call and ask, as it has been a while since we've stopped in. But my recollection is NO as they are not a bar restaurant.

Their site has nothing to show as being open, yet here it says they are open. Are they or not?

They just reopened!!!

Are they open?

No sorry, I wish they were!

Does anyone know if Patrick's is ever going to reopen?

Yes they are open again!!

Are they open? Went by there today and it a Was all boarded up.

Unfortunately, they are not open. I walk by every couple of weeks and there are no signs of life... yet

This spot just gets it…read more I came through recently and was honestly excited before I even ordered food because they had a solid selection of NA mocktails. For a bar, that's not always a given, and as someone who doesn't drink as much these days, that immediately stood out to me. I grabbed a lavender leprechaun and it was super refreshing, light, and just a really nice change of pace from the usual soda-or-water options. It didn't feel like an afterthought, it actually felt intentional. For food, I went with the corned beef sandwich and it did not disappoint. Hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want from a proper Irish pub. The whole place has that classic pub vibe but still feels welcoming whether you're drinking or not. That balance is rare, and I really appreciated it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially knowing I've got solid non-alcoholic options to enjoy.

Stopped by The Field Irish Pub in downtown San Diego for a Guinness and a bite on St Patrick's Day,…read moreso as expected, it was absolutely packed. Despite the crowds, service was impressively fast. We grabbed seats at the bar and were taken care of right away, which was a pleasant surprise given how busy it was. Food-wise, the fish and chips were good, but not amazing--solid, but nothing to rave about. The sausage rolls, unfortunately, were a bit underwhelming for me. I was hoping for a crispier, flakier pastry, but they fell a little short in texture. One thing I really miss is the live music they used to have before Covid. It added so much to the atmosphere, and I'd love to see them bring that back. Outside of big events like St. Patrick's Day, the place can feel a bit quiet, so the music would definitely elevate the overall vibe. Overall, still a great spot for a pint and good service--especially impressive during peak crowds--but there's definitely room to bring back some of that old charm.

Our group was surprised as is was 2115, it's been open for about an hour and a half and packed. As you enter this old law office down a staircase one would find the "speakeasy statutes/rules" to maintain the 1920s atmosphere-- we loved the setting, the people, the drinks, and of course the live music!! One would not be disappointed. The cocktail menu was on an old record, which I thought it was so clever. Back to the rules, seems pretty easy! They mention to keep an open mind with the drinks as they do not carry vodkas, redbull, Budweiser or bulls**t. Mentioned a dresscode, more so be classic and states be respectful and don't be a di*k. I couldn't agree more with the rules. I don't think there is good at this establishment, as our group just came from dinner I wasn't looking for food. Just spirits, live music and a good time. Highly recommend if you are looking for live music and uniquely crafted cocktails.

Multiple bystanders witnessed his behavior but failed to intervene, assuming it was just "relationship drama" After the man finally left, the venue's security completely misread the situation. Instead of checking on my well-being or ensuring the aggressor had left the premises, security targeted and chased me as if I were the problem. It is incredibly disappointing and dangerous for a business's security team to lack the basic situational awareness and training required to identify the actual victim in a situation. I felt entirely unprotected by the staff here. I hope management takes this as a serious sign that their security team needs immediate retraining on bystander intervention and de-escalation, rather than harassing women who are already in vulnerable situations.

She had complimentary tickets ( usually a $10 cover) to The Shout House, a dueling piano bar. We almost didn't go and let me tell you, that would have been a sad mistake. We walked in and while it was a little loud for us older folks, we looked around and took in all that was happening. There were people there much older than us as well as people barely old enough to be in a bar. The pianist (s) were hard at work a the drummer was rocking out too. We sat down. Let me tell you, that was the most fun we have had in a long time! All three musicians played multiple instruments, piano, harmonica, sax, and drums. The songs were everything from Slim Shady to Elton John and everything in between. Slips of paper were placed on the piano, a nod was given and off they went. The crowd sang along and we all laughed! Some of it was silly but ALL of it was fun! Highly recommend. About 10:30 the older crowd started making their way out, us included, early morning flight but we would have stayed until closing time. We might have paid for it the next day but had we not had a plane to catch we absolutely would have stayed. It was fun to see multiple generations having so much fun together and the music was incredible. We had just eaten so we didn't order food but what we saw on other tables looked good. Go!! You won't be sorry!
