Double Patty Cheese Burger With Fries

"New Furniture Makes It More Comfortable " We went back to the Latitude Lounge in the Marriott Hotel and had another nice experience. They have put in all new Bar and Table chairs which were very comfortable and looked nice. We met Matthew who had only been working at the Bar for 3 days. Matthew was was nice and was hustling around learning and helping everyone. We had the Happy Hour special Double Patty Cheeseburger with fries. We also enjoyed some $6.00 Well drinks which were also good. We met and talked with the Restaurant Supervisor Michael Rotunno. Michael is very nice to talk with and is always hustling around the entire restaurant and bar area making sure everything is OK with all of the customers.

I have only gone to this lounge once during Comic Con 2016 and my first impression was a positive one. The Lounge was clean, open with a wonderful view of the downtown "Comic Con" atmosphere. My party of three enjoyed refreshing cocktails prepared by a friendly, welcoming bartender. The Lounge was clean and classy, comfortable and convenient, with great customer service. I look forward to coming here on a not so busy weekend to enjoy more cocktails and food.

If you go to Altitude rooftop, do not forget about Latitude Lounge on the bottom floor! Another of my favorite spots in Gaslamp for years. Always attentive service, very friendly. Lots of tourists, so if you are local and want to mingle with visitors and sharpen your foreign language skills, this is a cool place to hang out. Great place to drink a cocktail while you wait that line to get to the elevator that will take you to Altitude disappear...

Came into the latitude lounge about 30 minutes before the Super Bowl started and had no trouble bellying up to the bar right in front of a giant flatscreen. Although my friends decided to drink their lunch, I opted for the New York blackened steak salad. The salad was amazing. It came with avocado sun-dried tomatoes and baby greens coated with a light and flavorful dressing. There was a generous portion of steak which was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. They have a separate dessert menu with lots of delectable treats. I ordered the baby chocolate cake. The bartender did give me a strange look when I asked her if there were real bits of baby in it lol. It was a molten chocolate cake with a condensed cream sauce along with fresh berries and vanilla bean ice cream. They also offer after dinner drinks like super aged port wines. I knocked off one star for the smoke that was billowing in from the lung cancer candidates out on the patio. It started bothering us after a while especially having to smell it while we are eating. The service here was amazing. Our bartenders name was Tiffany and she was going non-stop with a smile on her face the entire time and a great attitude. Kudos to her for making it look so easy!

Grilled Tuna Sandwich

The old-fashioned was the best. The pastrami sandwich was awful. Seriously, I was stuck in traffic for 5 hours and starving, so for me to turn down food.... It looked nice. Eye appeal. Served on pretzel bread, but it was so dry and stale. The pastrami was grilled, but somehow tasteless. I only ate half of my sandwich. The grilled ahi sandwich was a winner, but unfortunately it was not mine.

Up top it was a little crowded near the edges where everyone was taking photos, but people moved around pretty quickly so it was still easy to get some really good pictures from the rooftop. I didn't order any drinks, so this review is based solely on the location and the views, but once you're up there it's just absolutely beautiful. The hostess was a sweetheart and super accommodating, as we were a few minutes late due to the parking situation and we had a great seat that showed the open layout with the chandelier, the back panel by the entrance with all the stars, etc. Overall: Service, exceptional. (5/5) Our waitress: Kelly, was a sweetheart, informative, mindful on consistent check-in's for refills, drinks, going over steps of the menu (e.g. - small bites, entrees, dessert, didn't feel rushed or too pushy, and considerate on time, and promptness). The waiter that came by mid-video to do the torch component of the butters we added on to our meats was great, I love that it's table side because it enhances the experience to the ambiance and you can squeeze a little video in. If you do go for your birthday, as I did, they provide you with a dessert outside of their choices, however, we did overindulge a bit. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience for my birthday dinner, the music/ambiance was great, service was great, and the food quality for both the meat choices we got, sides (caesar salad, broccoli, and macaroni) we're all SO yummy! I will definitely be back!

Our group was surprised as is was 2115, it's been open for about an hour and a half and packed. As you enter this old law office down a staircase one would find the "speakeasy statutes/rules" to maintain the 1920s atmosphere-- we loved the setting, the people, the drinks, and of course the live music!! One would not be disappointed. The cocktail menu was on an old record, which I thought it was so clever. Back to the rules, seems pretty easy! They mention to keep an open mind with the drinks as they do not carry vodkas, redbull, Budweiser or bulls**t. Mentioned a dresscode, more so be classic and states be respectful and don't be a di*k. Multiple bystanders witnessed his behavior but failed to intervene, assuming it was just "relationship drama" After the man finally left, the venue's security completely misread the situation. Instead of checking on my well-being or ensuring the aggressor had left the premises, security targeted and chased me as if I were the problem. It is incredibly disappointing and dangerous for a business's security team to lack the basic situational awareness and training required to identify the actual victim in a situation. I felt entirely unprotected by the staff here. I hope management takes this as a serious sign that their security team needs immediate retraining on bystander intervention and de-escalation, rather than harassing women who are already in vulnerable situations.

I had NO IDEA how popular this spot was, nor anything about its nation-wide reputation. I actually didn't know that until two days ago when a Yelp-friend at home here in Richmond, Virginia, exclaimed excitedly when I told her we stopped in. The host who greeted us was kind, informed us there had been a line to get in that day, but that they had one barrel left; we jumped on it of course. It was happy hour, so the first cocktail I ordered was dirt cheap at $9. It was the Imperial Hawaiian with gin, rum, lemon, pineapple, and orgeat. I really shouldn't have ordered a second drink after that one, but I did have the classic Saturn later on in the night and it was absurdly good! Definitely my favorite of the two.
