Blarney Stone is a gem of a place and the service from Betsy was top notch! I loved the food and the decorations for St. Patty's day! You definitely don't want to miss the great experience I enjoyed at Blarney Stone. Special thanks to Betsy!

Tried this place despite the low star review. Thoroughly impressed. Exceptionally clean for a dark, wooden (and therefore traditional) Irish pub. Service from Betsy was exceptional. When not entertaining, Betsy was hard at work deep scrubbing the taps (a pet peeve of mine). The Jameson forward mule tasted awesome; the space dust cold in a frosted glass. I really enjoyed the Irish themed decor. The free baseball museum only added to the overall experience. Don't believe the negative reviews. Give this place a try - you'll enjoy it!

They did have a nice painting haha

Of all the spots we stopped in during a week in San Diego this was the absolute worst unfortunately. We wanted a cool, low key, Irish Pub since all the other spots were mobbed on 5th St and this place was dead slow. Instead we got slow service and attitude from the chick behind the bar and a $9.50 bottle of Budweiser. Avoid like the plague.

Went to this during the Super Bowl. It was before halftime and I had plenty of time to wander and look for a better venue. Why'd I settle here the bar had room. Go figure. Got some beer and wings. They were pretty good. Though I was a bit pissed that they were out of burgers, on the Super Bowl no less. Also, It seemed weird that a bar would only have one bartender working during the Super Bowl, but after reading the comments that seems on par. Not somewhere I would revisit unless forced. ‍ Though the male bartender was attentive and managed the bar well.

I stopped in with some friends was we were walking around Gaslamp. It's a classic Irish Pub on the inside. It has a cute wall mural of Ireland and a baseball collection, which is perfect with the stadium so close. The bartender, Betsy, was really nice! She's easy to talk to and has great stories. She recommended the peach long island iced tea to my friend and it was really good! The Guinness was good too and served in a Guinness glass. We had fun!

Yum!

Shocked and amazed by this cool blue drink. Vodka, blue curaçao, coconut...a slice of cake. Love it! Ask Betzy to make it for you.

Surprise don't made for me.

So we found that Prohibition offers a whiskey class where you can make drinks yourself. Met the owner Ryan who is the owner of Prohibition Whiskey and he told us the story about how he started the business and we connected because he was from Oakland. From that moment it was on and poppin. The vibes of the class was great and conversations along with the drinks were flowing. We ended the night by making an espresso martini made with whiskey and it was amazing. Plus it was dope that I got to make the drink myself. Can't wait to come back to San Diego to patron this establishment

A sponsor had rented out the whole place and all drinks were comped with food being passed around. We had cuban sandwiches and empanadas, which I think were all from the Havana restaurant upstairs. Food was great! Drinks were good, but the menu was so confusing to me. I didn't really like how they categorized them. Sometimes I feel like just being straightforward is better. Too cute with trying to do the prohibition/speakeasy menu. It did take a while to get drinks when it was packed. Understandable. But I had a few that were good, the boats and hoes, and keffir lime tequila drink were great. I would say that the bathroom had a bit of a stink to it...not sure what it was but smelled just like coming up from the pipes. May just be a basement issue. Overall, good experience. It didn't feel super special but just like any other speakeasy. I like False Idol better in terms of overall vibe.

The Most Fun Girls' Trip Ever!…read more My mom has been trying to get me to go to The Shout! House for years, always telling me how it was one of the most fun nights she'd ever had. She went with a dear friend of hers who has since passed away from cancer, and they had one of those unforgettable nights filled with singing, laughing, and enjoying the music together. After hearing about it for so long, I knew we had to make it happen! For Mother's Day this past year, we decided to take a girls' trip to San Diego with my mom, my 26-year-old daughter, and me. We met up in San Diego and ended up spending TWO nights in a row at The Shout! House, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was every bit as fun as my mom remembered, and I loved every second of it. We requested songs, sang along, laughed until we couldn't anymore, and literally opened and closed the place! The talent these performers have is phenomenal. They are all incredibly talented, entertaining, and so good at what they do. The energy and vibe in there are amazing. It's upbeat, fun, and the kind of place where you can't help but have a good time. The servers were also great, making sure we had our drinks and food whenever we needed them. One of the funniest moments was when the guy in my last picture called my mom up on stage for one of her song requests and ended up serenading her and singing about her! It was absolutely hilarious, and we were all laughing so hard. It was one of those unexpected moments that made the whole night even more special, and I will never forget it! I have to say, this was one of the funniest and most memorable times I've ever had with my mom and daughter. Getting to share something that meant so much to my mom and create our own memories together made it even more special. If you're visiting San Diego and looking for something fun and different to do, GO HERE! Whether you love music, singing, or just having a great night out, you won't regret it. We will absolutely be back!

This was my first time at the venue but had a really great time. The waitress (and clearly bartender) was on top of their stuff and we got drinks super quickly. The pianists (if you can call them that since they also played guitar and drums) were super fun and lively. They had a ton of fun props to make singing and celebrating such fun. There were 3 musicians that rotated throughout the evening while I was there and all were great.

The Ambiance inside the restaurant is magnificent wonderful views from all the windows. We were in a party of four and we ordered quite a few different entrees. Each one was very very good. When we finally found someone she stated that there was call offs food was horrible--- we ordered ceviche.... It was soo raw ( don't get me wrong I know how ceviche is made) but it didn't even sit in the lemon/lime juice -- color wasn't even pink ... not okay!!! Someone is definitely going to get sick.. and when we told the waitress all she said was " i know - I don't like it because it's so RAW" The drinks we ordered came on a display that was so dirty and dusty! I don't know I feel like someone just bought this location and tried to have a party with no other thoughts--nothing seemed professional ( no front desk staff, we had to walk up flights of stairs randomly, floors dirty-- just a mess) I don't recommend this place at all ( so sorry) maybe they need better management Don't just take my word for it--- please read the other reviews!!!
