The coffee is robust and fresh. The Santee location has sparse baked good choices and sometimes stale. The barista doesn't seem professionally trained. The female barista never smiles, performs like you're bothering her or maybe thats her resting face. She was there the third week of May. This is my second time visiting and she still gives an annoyed vibe. She was the only worker there so maybe she was overwhelmed. I let it go the first time but two days later she was with a second worker and still had a sour attitude. On the other hand, the cashier was exceptionally nice and very helpful. Walked a few blocks downtown to try this coffee shop and I'm shocked there were not more people inside. The barista was soft spoken but very friendly (especially considering the early hour). There were a few pastries if you were looking for that and plenty of seating. I ended up ordering the Aloha Latte hot and it was VERY good. There were a few small diced chunks of either coconut or macadamia so do not order unless looking for a flavor forward coffee. I got a chicken sandwich with red peppers, red onions (raw), hold the tomatoes, and goat cheese on toasted sour dough. I been going here since I moved. I live the ice pistachio honey latte! It has bits of the pistachio sugar on the bottom, I don't even khow they make it, but the bottom of it is my favorite part. The service is really good, the staff is nice and takes the time to get to know you. One of the gals knew my order lol. The location is cute, they have outdoor seating in the front. I told them that I wanted to order a caramel mocha 16oz size that is the large size they sell it was a few minutes the charge for the mocha was $5.40 good price for the location right here on Broadway in Downtown San Diego. I asked them if they were the new location on Broadway Downtown San Diego, they told me they were there for a few months the order was brought to the counter the great taste of the coffee was the best I Had ever tasted with the great taste of caramel in the mocha the best. From the many coffees they prepare with the best flavors its one place to have found the best coffee on Broadway next to the Burgers Bagels located across from the YMCA with the best location. The coffee and the location when you want to have the best in mochas and the best flavor from the many countries is the Coffee and Talk to find the best in drinks is the best in coffees. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer this is one place that had got my attention to find a coffee place that was at the end of B4roadway with the Starbucks that is located right across the street to have a place close by. I ended up ordering the iced bulletproof because I heard that it's really strong and I really needed the caffeine that day. They have plenty of seats and they have both indoor and outdoor seating available. For the outdoor seating, they have a flower wall on one side and a plant wall on the other side. The interior of the store gives off cozy vibes with the brick and wooden walls. I came on a Saturday morning and it wasn't that crowded so I was able to get my order pretty quickly which was nice. I also feel like because it wasn't super crowded, this would also be a good place to work or study. You can either order at the counter or there are also touch screens that you can place your order on. I ordered using the touch screen so my interaction with the employees was more limited, but they seemed friendly overall. We order a cold brew coffee. Unfortunately didn't get to taste it. I asked for room in the drink for cream. They filled it to the top. As I added the necessary cream and sugar and went to put the lid back on the cup completely broke the plastic was so thin. To make matters worse as coffee was all of me and the floor nobody seemed to be concerned or bothered until we asked for a rag to clean it up. As if that was bad enough they offered to get me a new one instead they gave me the same coffee in a new cup.but doubled cupped it so the lid was not flush and the cup leaked. Ended up throwing it away. Service was lacking for sure. Would not be back at all. Please replace your cups. The coffee was $7.00 I'm sure plastic cups can't cost that much read more

Overall, I thought this coffee shop was pretty good. Definitely solid 8/10. To start, the service was great and so was the latte I ordered (vanilla iced latte with oat milk). The lemon poppyseed muffin was also pretty good but not the best I have had. What threw me off was the acai. In pictures, it looks so fresh but the one I ordered was almost a sorbet texture. This was not ideal for breakfast. I wish it was more of a blended smoothie type of acai rather than a premade scoop. The everything bagels are always tasty so recommend those as the bases. The work bagel which is turkey, cheese and eggs is the favorite. Second favorite would be their veggie which is cream cheese, eggs, avocado and spinach. Both are tasty and filling but need sauce so highly recommend getting a hot sauce for either. For location it's in downtown so parking isn't the best (especially since the sidewalk right at the front is a bike lane) but we like to doordash or use another medium to bypass that problem which I recommend as their packaging is done well for their to-gos.
