I really don't understand some of the comments that claim that you come to Paradiso for the vibes and decor, and not so much for the food, because the food was kind of fantastic!!! Yes this is a really beautiful, very instagrammable and chic restaurant. But the food is also kind of exceptional! We ordered a ton of different drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. My favorites were the Hummus trio, butrata, Spicy rigatoni with shrimp (and I don't even like shrimp, but this pasta was great), and the tiramisu! Seriously do not miss the tiramisu--it's so good and coffee and has a magical crunch toppings that just does wonders. Incredible ambiance with unique and colorful decor. My friend and I were really late for our reservation and when we called the hostess set proper expectations. When we arrived she was really kind and found a way to accommodate us. The portions are large. I saw people ordering appetizers/starters and they are definitely meant to be shared. The pizza was perfect and you could tell the dough was very fresh. The steak itself was good but they plated the cut steak over the fries with the salsa verde so rest of the dish got soggy. Our server was very nice. She was just busy so it took a few minutes to get a steak knife. The cocktails are good but not worth $16. We sat on the patio and just absolutely LOVED everything about the atmosphere here! The service was also accommodating and attentive!!! The food was nothing to write home about. The pizza did have a great crust. The breakfast sandwich, I wouldn't order again. I didn't enjoy the bun - it felt like I was eating my breakfast sandwich on a hamburger bun, otherwise the sandwich was fine. It started off great with a super cute ambiance, but things went downhill very quickly. Everyone received their food and finished eating before my friend even got her pizza. Eventually, the manager, Chris, came out and said they would take care of the pizza and offered to comp a round of drinks. However, he never actually asked what we wanted or explained the offer. Instead, a cocktail was brought that none of us ordered or wanted, and came with the drinks we previously ordered. We didn't drink them at all, yet they were still added to our bill and included in the auto gratuity. This added an extra $20 to our final bill for drinks we never asked for or touched. Overall, the situation was handled poorly, and the offer to "comp a round" was misleading and unhelpful. This restaurant is really cute! Located in bishop arts near a bunch of other shops and restaurants. A group of us got dinner here for a friend's birthday and the ambience was really nice. Make sure to reserve ahead of time! I ordered the linguine but it personally wasn't for me. I tried some of the pizzas and those were good though! So I'd recommend ordering that of you come here. We had a reservation for a group of 6 on a saturday night. Unfortunately, the host was very rude when it came to us simply asking to switch our table from outside to inside so that threw us all off in the beginning. I completely understand if it was a very busy night with little flexibility to switch the seating situation but throughout our dining experience, there were at least 5 tables next to us that were empty so I'm not sure what made her snap. Anyway, our experience with the waiter was completely different as he was very attentive and welcoming so we appreciate that! For drinks, I got the If Purple & Lilac and I loved it- it was spicy yet refreshing! For appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Artichokes and Mussles. The crispy artichokes weren't bad but I definitely don't think it's worth $17.The mussels were delicious though! The seasonings/spices were great and the perfectly toasted bread went perfectly with the soup. For the Entree, my boyfriend ordered the Moroccan Spiced Chicken which is unfortunately not a dish I would recommend. The rutabaga puree was delicious but the chicken itself was very bland. I ordered the rigatoni which came with rock shrimp. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice kick to it, and the shrimp was well seasoned! This was probably my favorite dish of the night. We tried some of our friend's pizza and unfortunately, this was a no-go. They ordered two types of pizza and the one in the picture is the Soppressatta. I had a bite and the only part of the pizza that was cooked all the way was the crust. The rest of the pizza was doughy/gooey and my friends said the same thing about their pizza. Overall, the food here was pretty disappointing. And it's on the pricey end too so I don't think I'd come back unless it's for drinks and the Rigatoni. This was my first meal after arriving in Dallas for the first time, and dare I say it made me want to move to DFW. The whole experience was extraordinary. The peta appetizer we got was absolutely sensational, as was the cheese appetizer we received. I got one of their signature pizzas, and it was incredible as well. I went with my brother and his girlfriend, and they were no less impressed. That isn't even accounting for the interior and exterior of the restaurant, which somehow manages to resemble a greenhouse, airplane hanger, and decadent conference hall all in one. It was truly unique. As can be expected, the service was great as well. It was all around an amazing experience. Discovered this restaurant on a busy Saturday night. The hostess was able to find us a table immediately upon arriving. The atmosphere was very fun, hip and clean. There was an indoor and outdoor (with heaters) to sit if you wanted. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and very attentive. He was helpful with food recommendations, too. I've been wanting to go to Paradiso for the longest. I used to pass it in Bishop Arts before I even moved to Dallas and it just has the cutest vibe to it, all the pink and the patio. So I decided to go here for dinner on my birthday! Glad that I did! We ordered the mussels first, as they were perfectly flavored. For dinner I got the pan roasted salmon which just flaked off on the fork and the couscous was soft and flavorful as wells it was quite a portion, which was great! My friend got the Moroccan chicken and not going to lie, even though the salmon was good, after tasting his I wished I had gotten the chicken too. It was so tender and moist and the flavor was just the perfect seasoning. It was delicious. For dessert they brought me out the chocolate mousse cake. Which was good; but very rich. So it made it tough to eat the whole thing, but great presentation and taste of being shared. I think it's a little too rich for one person. The ambience here makes for a great date night, family outing, or dinner with friends. They have the main restaurant, bar, patio area and Bar Eden which is their side bar that looks like maybe it's an event space but not sure. Also go during Christmas time if you can they do such a beautiful job decorating it. My Girlfriend makes the claim that Paradiso is "For the Girls." I can't say I disagree with her. On weekends Paradiso is swarming with enough Bachelorette parties to give Nashville's Lower Broadway a run for its money, along with dozens of Girls Night Out groups (often featuring an unhappy, underdressed Boyfriend who mistakenly accepted the pity invitation to come along). Paradiso is colorful, filled with natural light, has a very "Girls & Gays" server scene, features lots of flora as décor and and fruity cocktails as drinks, and in the courtyard boosts a trickling fountain. In essence, Paradiso is pretty. So pretty that for better or worse it's entered the "Feminine" side of aesthetics in the minds of most of it's clientele. Regardless, Paradiso is awesome. The servers are efficient and friendly and the Italian inspired food is phenomenal. Every menu item I've tried has been 5/5 and I definitely want to return to try the rest. Bar Eden (Paradiso's in-house cocktail bar) is also a blast if you want to arrive to the Bishop Arts District late afternoon and hang out for a bit before dinner. In many ways Paradiso is the flagship establishment of the Bishop Arts District (though definitely not the oldest), and it's more than deserving of that reputation. read more

This place is beautifully decorated. Our server for the night was Julio. He was the all star of the night, he was warm, genuine and had excellent food recommendations. For apps we had the hummus & fresh pita bread which was delicious and flavorful. The marinated burrata cheese with toasted bread, also delicious. And lastly the fried artichoke, I thought it was good but I just don't like artichoke. For the mains I had the duck dumplings, you could smell the deliciousness coming off of the plate. Everything was moist and flavorful just how I like it. I also had a bite of the steak frites. The steak was moist and flavored well, however the fries lacked taste so my friend switched it for Brussels sprouts which were really good. We were also given free pizza for our group. The soppressata was my favorite, I liked the touch of honey and the crispy pork pizza was delicious as well, can't go wrong with those two. Solid Mediterranean food in a beautiful setting made for Instagram. Paradiso feels like a slice of South Beach. Food was pretty good but the overall experience was lacking. The food is well seasoned and comes in generous portions. The crispy artichokes and mussels were the favorites but the Cous Cous and hummus were also solid dishes. These 4 items could have easily fed 4 people so the two of us left very full. I docked 2 stars from our experience because service was slow for a Sunday night where the restaurant was a quarter full. It took awhile to order and we were seldom checked on. Also they were out of rose and Prosecco from brunch so my wife wasn't able to order the drinks she wanted. We were also seated next to buckets set up to catch a leak when there were plenty of other tables available. As others have noted, it gets pretty warm inside so coming on a sunny day when it is packed would be rough. Normally I would let these things slide but for the higher end experience (and prices), these were little things I would not have expected. Parking is limited to street parking. Didn't see valet anywhere. The place had lots of outdoor seating and looks to be able to handle large groups on the weekends. Finally, got over to Bishop Arts to visit this place after far too long of knowing about it and driving by a few times. Let's just say, this place is "THE SPOT!!!" Upon entry, you feel like you just entered a bistro on the Amalfi Coast. A beautiful patio dining area with a water feature and lots of seating. Inside the decor is very nicely arranged and spacious, with different style booth seating, tables and hightops, and a wraparound bar with cushy high chairs. There is abundant lighting throughout the place, so it feels very airy inside while still intimate. We arrived during lunch, so the menu catered to that. However, it changes between lunch and dinner, and then again for dinner. They also serve what looks like a very tasty Brunch on the weekend. We started with the Sangria's (very tasty & refreshing) for drinks and Oysters (which although they were from the Gulf, tasted like Blue Point) and Hummus & homemade Pita bread for appies, both were divine! We then shared the Chicken Salad sandwich (YUM) and the Rigatoni Pasta w/ Rock Shrimp (). Our server, Diego, certainly made the dining experience even better, by making great recommendations and being timely and attentive. This place is so inviting and you continue to feel "welcomed" throughout your dining experience. In fact, it was so chill we were reluctant to leave. My friend and I popped in during the week to check it out. He had been before and this was my first time. I was told the food was "ok" and honestly after that was how I would describe it as well. I will say our treatment and service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The vibe and decor, especially the floral arrangements above the bar were beautiful. I ordered a glass of wine and we we shared the chicken skewers to start. I thought the chicken was decent but the pita and yogurt was very, very tasty. For the main, I had the pappardelle. I would also describe this as ok. It had great presentation. The cherry tomatoes were notably delicious. The flavor just didn't jump out at me, and I felt it needed something to make it pop.
