I've been here a few times for brunch and to have drinks. The setting is gorgeous (5 stars) - even prettier than the pictures. The vibrant flowers hanging from the ceiling and plants lining the walls make it festive and lively. The courtyard is a great option for spring days and for giving kids in your party a place to play. They have a few stand-out food options (like the hummus trio with their homemade puffy bread), but otherwise the food was good but not memorable. Sitting at the bar is a great choice for drinks but the bartenders can get really busy so don't expect immediate service.
Came here to dine with a girlfriend after hearing all the buzz on social media. The interior and vibes are absolutely to die for, but other than the decor everything else just sort of felt flat. The hostess was a bit rude, the place was not busy at all and she sat us in the back corner where there was no airflow in the heat of Dallas summer. I politely asked if we could move and she said to give her a minute and walked away and continued seating others when there were plenty of empty tables open. The man serving seemed completely uninterested and not hospitable. As for the food, it tasted better than I had expected for a trendy "instagrammable" restaurant. I ordered the steak and fries and my friend ordered the shrimp salad. They were tasty enough albeit pretty overpriced for what you get. All in all I probably wouldn't come back unless a friend specifically wanted to go here.
Paradiso is a fun, kitschy joint in the most eclectic neighborhood in Dallas. The Bishop Arts hood feels more like you're in Chicago or New York because of the refreshing and welcoming diversity. Paradiso has a unique feel because it has as much well-designed space outside as it does inside. The patio area feels more like a garden than patio. Even in the crazy Dallas heat you'll find people eating or cocktailing al fresco. The bar area is beautiful. It's covered in flowers and fun European style furniture. The bartenders were knowledgeable and fun to hang with because they clearly enjoy talking about their craft. Nothing worse than a bartender that is too important to chat it up with their customers. I had a delicious signature recipe called Dreaming of Suze (pic 2). It immediately caught my eye because Suze is a staple in our bar. It's a yellow French bitter liqueur you don't regularly find out at restaurants. I've never seen anyone infuse it. They complemented Mezcal with strawberry-infused Suze, sage syrup, lime and strawberry puree served in a tall glass over ice. It was a nice summer recipe and one I will definitely try to recreate at home. My second was a classic old fashioned made with Basil Hayden bourbon (pic 4) It was delicious and well-balanced. If you're in Dallas and want a change of pace from the usual, go down to Bishop Arts and take in the eclectic flavor while enjoying all the shops, restaurants and some cocktails at Paradiso. The vibe was fun and whimsical for a girls day! We were greeted & seated promptly. The waitress was very attentive as were the other staff members. The food was just ok. I think we expected something Ana ing. We enjoyed our visit. The drinks were good just a little overpriced. If we go back we'll get the pizza. It looked tasty.
This was my second time at Paradiso after a visit 3 years ago left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a terrible experience and honestly didn't feel a need to come back, but my mom wanted to come here for her birthday brunch yesterday so I thought why not give it a second chance. The other reviews are spot on in terms of lack of parking-- make sure you definitely give yourself enough time to park your car if you don't plan on using valet because Bishop Arts is honestly always busy no matter what day you go. This restaurant is a great photo op for the girlies! It's super beautiful and the decor just transports you to another place- you forget you're even in Dallas, it's so gorgeous. Our server only stopped by our table to take our food/ drink orders, but honestly, don't expect any great super over-the-top service here. It's nice and all, but no one seemed to be going above and beyond or even trying to provide a super memorable experience for their customers. I don't even remember our servers name. The food was good. We had ordered the Marinated Burrata ($18) with strawberry jelly/jam which was surprisingly a yummy combo. The sourdough was burnt though (lol) not "toasted" like described on the menu. For our mains, I got the Avocado Eggs Benedict ($19) and my mom got the Shrimp Salad ($24) and both were genuinely good! My mom's salad had a super refreshing vinaigrette ( perfect for a hot day outside! ) I was a little surprised to be honest, just based on my last experience. It was a nice time and the food was good. Restaurant and bathrooms seemed clean and organized. Service- don't expect much. Good place for a fun, cute, photo op brunch in Dallas.
My sister brought me here for my birthday. The staff didn't really acknowledge it but that's ok! It late on a Tuesday and we were sat immediately since they weren't busy. Our server was nice but didn't come by enough imo, and our hostess noticed and took our drink orders at the beginning. I will say that he was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. As always the space is beautifully decorated, with soft pinks and flowers flowing down from the bar ceiling. The food was delicious. I loved my pasta and how unique it was. Those thick noodles were cooked to perfection. My sister has a sensitive stomach and was happy that the pork chops were yummy AND didn't trigger her digestive issues. We didn't get dessert because the amount of food we ate was enough, but I told myself we can go back and enjoy it a different day. If it wasn't for the slow service it would've been 5 stars for sure.
We went here for my sister's birthday lunch and it exceeded our expectations! The food was great we ordered the burger with fries, pepperoni pizza and Caesar salad. The service was great as well and the ambience inside the restaurant was very nice. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return next time we're in the bishop arts area!
I would consider this place a great option for large dinner party as it is a large place and can accommodate for many people! I had the margarita pizza which was pretty good. I really enjoyed the ceasar salad which is large and shareable. I also had the hummus appetizer which was yummy! Comes with lots of veggies and bread to dip. Unfortunately they were having some a/c issues when I attended making the experience a little less enjoyable. Waiter was quick and knowledgeable.
We chose Paradiso to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday, and for a first visit, it was an overall good experience with a few notable highs and lows. First, be prepared for parking. The roads are very tight, and I ended up using valet, which is an added expense but probably the easiest option. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere transported you somewhere tropical. The décor is vibrant, colorful, and perfect for taking photos. While waiting for the rest of our party (our reservation was for 10 but we ended up with 8), the hostess kindly explained that we would be seated once everyone arrived and invited me to wait either at the outdoor high-top tables or inside at the bar. I chose outside so I could take pictures. While I was waiting, a manager (I believe his name was Gustavo) introduced himself and offered to make sure my mom received a complimentary birthday drink. That thoughtful gesture immediately stood out and set a welcoming tone for the evening. Once our full party arrived, we were seated promptly at our 6:30 reservation time. I'm very particular about cleanliness, so one thing immediately caught my attention. Although the table had been cleared, the seats still had food residue from the previous guests, and the floor beneath our table had not been swept. I asked our server, Chelsea, if it could be cleaned before we sat down. Unfortunately, the request seemed to be met with irritation rather than hospitality, and first impressions matter. The menu isn't large, but it offers enough variety without being overwhelming. Since it was our first visit, I asked for recommendations, but our server wasn't really able to guide us through the menu. As a kosher pescatarian, I ordered the Striped Sea Bass ($31) along with the Dreaming of Suze cocktail ($16). The cocktail was beautifully presented, although I requested light ice and received a full glass of ice instead. I also ordered tea, but it lacked flavor and tasted more like water. The sea bass itself left me wanting more. While there were two fillets, they were quite thin and served with the skin on. The highlight of the dish was actually the chickpea minestrone underneath the fish, which was flavorful and enjoyable. I don't mind paying premium prices for a meal, but I do expect the food to justify the cost, and this one simply didn't quite get there for me. Service also played a role in my overall rating. Our server was polite but fairly mediocre and lacked the warmth and personality that elevate a dining experience. With automatic gratuity added for larger parties, I couldn't help but feel that the service didn't reflect the required 20% tip. I always tip, but exceptional service should accompany exceptional gratuity. The reason this review is four stars instead of three is Gustavo. His attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care throughout the evening made a lasting impression. Before leaving, I made it a point to thank him personally because great hospitality deserves to be recognized. While Paradiso probably isn't a restaurant I'll return to because it doesn't align well with my dietary preferences, my mom thoroughly enjoyed celebrating her birthday there and said she would happily come back. If you're looking for a lively, tropical atmosphere with beautiful décor that's perfect for a girls' outing or celebration, Paradiso is certainly worth experiencing.
I do not adventure into Dallas too often, but had to schedule a lunch in the area. Paradiso was chosen relatively randomly, but ended up as a good choice. Leo was wonderful in helping navigate the menu. The atmosphere brought me back the the brunch spots down in Miami. My salad was good, not too flavorful, but fresh and large!
We had the best experience. Nadia was our server and took really good care of us. She made my girlfriend feel so special for her birthday. Food was amazing as well. We split pizza and Caesar salad. We added the lamb sausage to the four cheese pizza, which was amazing. Love the crust. The ambience was super cute and girly, maybe like a Miami or Tulum vibe. But really, Nadia made this experience one that we will never forget.
We got recommended by this place by a nearby shop when we asked for recommendations at Bishop District. I'm so glad she did because this place was picture perfect. I felt like I was in another world, I was obsessed with all the colors. The food was good but a bit on the pricey side for pasta, shrimp wasn't good or breaded. I still enjoyed everything we ordered, even the bathroom had the cutest decor. The service was very nice and even got our birthday girl a little birthday dessert. No reservation during lunch time and we got seated immediately.
Paradiso is one of the most colorful and cutest spots in the Bishop Arts District! We only got drinks on the patio and it was a great vibe! The perfect patio in town! The staff was real kind and helpful! Sad they had ran out of their frozen drink though! Will come back again
Umm excuse me? I loved my dinner here at Paradiso. How was this my first time visiting? Maybe I shouldn't have listened to the "it's overrated" hype. Or maybe they upgraded their menu? Not sure but it worked in my favor. Perfect date night/girls night out splurge. The steak frites was soooo good laid atop crispy truffle fries. The hummus trio was good! But the cucumber margarita stole the show. So refreshing on a summer night! I'll be back to try different menu items. Paradiso is a great spot to dine in the Bishop Art District area! They have a beautiful outdoor and indoor space, and the day we chose to eat here was exceptionally beautiful! We ended up eating inside but right by the outdoor area so it felt like the best of both worlds. We weren't too hungry so decided to share a pizza and some fries. Our server, Alexis, was exceptional. He was super attentive and made sure to give us some recs and check on us often. Super friendly and our food even came out fast. For food, we got the Prosciutto Di Parma and the fries as a side. Both were super good and exceeded our minimal expectations. Usually with a space like this, the place looks beautiful but the food will lack and this was not the case. First of all, service was pretty awesome here. From the host that sat us to our amazing waiter, we really enjoyed talking with everyone as we progressed through our meal. My only complaint is the decor. Most of it was amazing HOWEVER there was a wall rug or something that was just hard to look at lol. Food was great and plated beautifully. Wonderful place! The decor is fresh and fun and inviting. Wait staff is very friendly. We had some cocktails and starters, which worked out great. We had the Hummus Trio, with 3 different types of dips/spreads and some yummy pita. Added in Spiced Chicken Skewers for a nice protein complement. For drinks, I had an enchanted rose, which was beautiful and fit the ambiance. It's made of vodka, lavender, lemon and rum. Great place to stop in the Bishop Arts area! read more
This cute restaurant has a lovely tropical vibe with its penny tile floor and floral motif. The Les Fleurs cocktail was so refreshing on a hot summer day. The couscous with grilled shrimp was a winner as well. Couscous was nestled in butter leaf lettuce cups, topped with tzatziki sauce. Amazing food and amazing service! Great ambiance with such cute decor. I ordered the steak frites and it was amazing! I absolutely loved it. My daughter ordered the spaghetti. Plain old regular spaghetti is my favorite food and this different twist on it was incredible. The desserts were also amazing. Carrot cake is my favorite and this one really delivers. Incredible ambiance with unique and colorful decor. My friend and I were really late for our reservation and when we called the hostess set proper expectations. When we arrived she was really kind and found a way to accommodate us. The portions are large. I saw people ordering appetizers/starters and they are definitely meant to be shared. The pizza was perfect and you could tell the dough was very fresh. The steak itself was good but they plated the cut steak over the fries with the salsa verde so rest of the dish got soggy. Our server was very nice. She was just busy so it took a few minutes to get a steak knife. The cocktails are good but not worth $16. Dallas and surrounding areas have a lot of craft cocktail bars that are more reasonable and better. Overall, good experience and good food! read more
This restaurant is really cute! Located in bishop arts near a bunch of other shops and restaurants. A group of us got dinner here for a friend's birthday and the ambience was really nice. Make sure to reserve ahead of time! I ordered the linguine but it personally wasn't for me. I tried some of the pizzas and those were good though! So I'd recommend ordering that of you come here. Our waiter was super attentive as well so props to the staff working at the restaurant! Overall, a good place to check out. read more

I would give the ambiance 5 stars and everything else 3. The vibe is so unfriendly from the second you arrive. They have a "you are lucky to be here" attitude rather than a "we are lucky you are here" vibe. The man at the host desk was a fun suck and not welcoming whatsoever. Our waiter was okay. Drinks were okay. Cuter than they tasted. My holiday espresso martini that boasted on the menu of a crushed candy cane rim had nothing or the sorts. Cute place for brunch. Feels like a bachelorette tourist trap in my opinion. There are much better options in the area for a good drink, delicious meal and with a welcoming ambiance. This place was not it. read more

Definitely a super cute vibe for a girls lunch to catch up! Plenty of cute areas to take photos! Service was perfect and food was good. The Spaghetti was not your statically Spaghetti. Hand pulled noodles. I would have preferred the noodles to be softer. It was also a little salty. Steak and fries: fries were ADDICTING. Steak was dry even though it came with a salsa on top of it. We had a reservation for a group of 6 on a saturday night. Unfortunately, the host was very rude when it came to us simply asking to switch our table from outside to inside so that threw us all off in the beginning. I completely understand if it was a very busy night with little flexibility to switch the seating situation but throughout our dining experience, there were at least 5 tables next to us that were empty so I'm not sure what made her snap. Anyway, our experience with the waiter was completely different as he was very attentive and welcoming so we appreciate that! For drinks, I got the If Purple & Lilac and I loved it- it was spicy yet refreshing! For appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Artichokes and Mussles. The crispy artichokes weren't bad but I definitely don't think it's worth $17.The mussels were delicious though! The seasonings/spices were great and the perfectly toasted bread went perfectly with the soup. For the Entree, my boyfriend ordered the Moroccan Spiced Chicken which is unfortunately not a dish I would recommend. The rutabaga puree was delicious but the chicken itself was very bland. I ordered the rigatoni which came with rock shrimp. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice kick to it, and the shrimp was well seasoned! This was probably my favorite dish of the night. We tried some of our friend's pizza and unfortunately, this was a no-go. They ordered two types of pizza and the one in the picture is the Soppressatta. I had a bite and the only part of the pizza that was cooked all the way was the crust. The rest of the pizza was doughy/gooey and my friends said the same thing about their pizza. Overall, the food here was pretty disappointing. And it's on the pricey end too so I don't think I'd come back unless it's for drinks and the Rigatoni. However, this place is decorated very beautifully and it's a perfect spot to take cute pictures. read more

Beautiful decorations during Christmas season. I don't normally eat salads but this Spinach and Roasted chicken salad was very delicious, the pecans were a great touch. The marinated burrata was great. I absolutely recommend coming in during a weekday, great service and fast drinks. read more

Good service and clean environment including the kitchen. Although there was fly disturbed us throughout the meal. Mussels and pasta were too salty. For a $13 melon salad, the melon was probably stored in a way too cold fridge and all turned transparent like, not fresh at all. This was my first meal after arriving in Dallas for the first time, and dare I say it made me want to move to DFW. The whole experience was extraordinary. The peta appetizer we got was absolutely sensational, as was the cheese appetizer we received. I got one of their signature pizzas, and it was incredible as well. I went with my brother and his girlfriend, and they were no less impressed. That isn't even accounting for the interior and exterior of the restaurant, which somehow manages to resemble a greenhouse, airplane hanger, and decadent conference hall all in one. It was truly unique. As can be expected, the service was great as well. It was all around an amazing experience. I only hope that they maintain the quality so I can enjoy it again next time I'm in town! read more

First of all, this place is SUPER cute. Great natural light and a really fun atmosphere. I also loved the location of it, it was really quiet, yet nestled amongst a bunch of great shops. Service was a little slow, especially given that we were essentially the only ones in there, but it wasn't too bad. Food came quickly, drinks took forever. I got the Porchetta Pizza and it was good--nothing amazing, but not bad. I chose the Paradise Pucker as my drink (I think it's seasonal?) and I was not disappointed! read more

The ambiance was crazy! They had so much holiday decor and it was all perfectly pretty, curated and clean. The inside and the patio were both a Pink sparkly Christmas dream for the girlsssss! Service was lovely, the hosts and the server were friendly. The server was helpful with the menu and quite funny! He helped me pick a good cocktail to go with my dinner. The food was delicious, I did not have any real expectations for the Hummus plate but wow did it surprise me. The fresh Pitas were warm and delicious, the hummus was flavorful and the presentation was gorgeous. The Steak Frites had a lovely herby buttery green onion sauce over it and I miss it already. Steak was perfectly cooked and Parmesan fries were delicious, add the sauce and I was in Heaven. One of the best meals I have had in a long while, the flavor profile of the sauce really did it for me. My friend had the Pasta dish and it was also smokey and tasty, he cleaned his plate. If you are in town and looking for a spot, they have the cocktails, the food options, the patio ans the overall ambiance and vibes for a cute meal for 2 or a big group. Discovered this restaurant on a busy Saturday night. The hostess was able to find us a table immediately upon arriving. The atmosphere was very fun, hip and clean. There was an indoor and outdoor (with heaters) to sit if you wanted. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and very attentive. He was helpful with food recommendations, too. The food arrived and was very flavorful. My brother treated me to dinner, so I can't say about the food the price ratio. The Brussel sprouts were my personal favorite, and I'm glad that we ordered it. read more

I really don't understand some of the comments that claim that you come to Paradiso for the vibes and decor, and not so much for the food, because the food was kind of fantastic!!! Yes this is a really beautiful, very instagrammable and chic restaurant. But the food is also kind of exceptional! We ordered a ton of different drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. My favorites were the Hummus trio, butrata, Spicy rigatoni with shrimp (and I don't even like shrimp, but this pasta was great), and the tiramisu! Seriously do not miss the tiramisu--it's so good and coffee and has a magical crunch toppings that just does wonders. We also tried the chocolate dessert, the carrot cake, and the cannolis, all of which were pretty good too. Super helpful waiter read more
I've been wanting to go to Paradiso for the longest. I used to pass it in Bishop Arts before I even moved to Dallas and it just has the cutest vibe to it, all the pink and the patio. So I decided to go here for dinner on my birthday! Glad that I did! We ordered the mussels first, as they were perfectly flavored. For dinner I got the pan roasted salmon which just flaked off on the fork and the couscous was soft and flavorful as wells it was quite a portion, which was great! My friend got the Moroccan chicken and not going to lie, even though the salmon was good, after tasting his I wished I had gotten the chicken too. It was so tender and moist and the flavor was just the perfect seasoning. It was delicious. For dessert they brought me out the chocolate mousse cake. Which was good; but very rich. So it made it tough to eat the whole thing, but great presentation and taste of being shared. I think it's a little too rich for one person. The ambience here makes for a great date night, family outing, or dinner with friends. They have the main restaurant, bar, patio area and Bar Eden which is their side bar that looks like maybe it's an event space but not sure. Also go during Christmas time if you can they do such a beautiful job decorating it. Everything was good, but the only downside was our server wasn't exactly great, he wasn't very engaging or friendly he just kind of was there to do his job and keep it moving. read more

No they're not. Closed for Christmas Day and Close at 2 p.m. for the 24th.
Do they have heaters on the patio? Or is the patio partially enclosed during cold season?
Yes, it's been a few months since we went, but they did have heaters on the patio.
Is it kid friendly?
No not really . More of a night out on the town with friends / coworkers type of restaurant .
Is there parking nearby?
Yes, Mon - Thur they have a parking lot next to their bar, Botainist. On weekend it's valet or park somewhere in the neighborhood. There is also a huge parking lot across from their sister restaurant Tejas.
