I like Panera's food. The taste is good and mostly consistent. Soups can be a bit lukewarm so that's something that I'd correct. The gripe that I have with this place is that it is ALWAYS dirty. People are dumb and don't pick up after themselves, but at that point, Panera should have employees round the place, throw away garbage, and wipe down tables. I'm not mad an item was missing as I work in fast food and accidents happen. I don't know if the people who work there need additional training or the app needs to be changed so that it's clear to whoever is prepping the order. Food was good, building was nice, service was great. Parking okay. I don't really see any difference with this Panera and others I've been to. Not exactly sure why only a three star average. Let me preface this by saying the staff here is always amazing and courteous. No issues with them at all. My main complaint is that I frequent 3 different locations very often. I am a sip club member, but I also eat at panera about 5-7 times per week. This is the only location of the 3 that keeps cups and charged lemonade behind the counter. This location is closest to my house, but I avoid it at all costs due to this poor decision by management. It slows the line down, ties up an employee for no reason, makes it impossible to get in and out with a drink in a timely manner, and means I can't just add how much ice I want, or mix flavors to my liking. As such, I end up spending my time and money at the other locations because I don't want to wait for my drink when I am in a hurry. I know I am not the only one that hates this, and although the owner might think they are saving money, it is actually costing them business in the long run. Convenience is key, and patrons shouldn't be punished because a few people arw stealing drinks. They also discontinued a lot of my favorite menu options, but I think this was a corporate decision and not the fault of any location. read more

I have always been a fan of Panera Bread. I took my Dad for a Saturday afternoon lunch before going to the movies. Food was good, my only complaint was my order came out with wrong bread choice. I asked server about it, she replies that's how order was put in. She seemed a little bit annoyed that I had questioned it, also showing me receipt. I just let it go, I understand she was just the server and not who took my original order. I'm not gonna lie though... she made me feel like it was my fault. My Dad had Corn Chowder soup and half a BLTA sandwich. I had half Greek salad and Chicken salad on flat bread (I had requested multi grain bread). The food tasted good and environment was quiet enough to have great conversation. I ended with a yummy Raspberry Thumb print Shortbread cookie, which was delicious! Im not sure why I keep coming back here. The food is simply average. The sandwiches look and taste like something I can do at home even better. The pasta is actually pretty good. The mac and cheese is my favorite although today the cheese tasted like it could of been bad towards the end of the bowl. Its always creamy, and they use white cheddar. Salads are hit or miss. They come up with some interesting combos but I've had days where my lettuce was a bit wilted. A few times my order has been messed up here including today. My husband asked for his sandwich without the horseradish sauce on it and it was left on. The staff is pretty good at correcting the mistakes but it can still be a hassel to adjust. The prices are so high for what you're getting. My little half sandwich, small bowl of mac and cheese and chips is 12 dollars. Ouch! The price should at least include a drink. I come here often, I think the service improved a lot and there is an effort to improve the place. The food is good. We came in for the lunch duets, they were out of the wild chicken soup that comes with the lunch duet we ordered. We asked if they would substitute for another soup being they did not have the soup that comes with the sandwich.. The manager refused let us choose another soup with our sandwich even though they did not have the soup that comes with the lunch duet..The Manager was indifferent and made no effort to please us, their customer. I was having a hard day, but my day turned around when I was warmly greeted by Faith when I came in. I couldn't decide what to eat and Faith gave me some great recommendations. Apparently they switched their iced coffee to self serve. Yet the cashier didn't feel the need to share that news with me or give me my cup so I could actually serve myself. She even took my customizations like everything was fine. So I stood waiting for 20 minutes as my name was on the board as being prepared and then it randomly went away. Nobody behind the counter felt the need to inform me at that time either. Panera's are usually a mess with long lines so I didn't think anything of it at first but eventually managed to find an employee willing to help who told me the news and gave me my cup so I could finally get my coffee after waiting 30 minutes. This review is in regard to the unprofessional hours. First of all as a business owner I know how important it is to keep a business open for the hours we have posted online AND what is posted on our door as customers rely on this when driving to the business to know whether the place is open or not. I have not wasted my time driving here once this week, but TWICE in 1 week. My home is under renovations so I don't have a kitchen and I was giving this place a lot of money. I came here on Sunday at 7:30pm (they're hours online say they close at 9. THEN I come again today at 9:15 because again it says they close at 10pm online (come to find out it says 9:30 on their door but whatever). And I see the workers inside chit chatting away and the doors are locked. This is extremely upsetting when I have wasted my time coming here when I could have came earlier or gone somewhere else if I had known. As a franchise you should either CHANGE YOUR HOURS ONLINE. Or GET BETTER MANAGEMENT that dosnt lock the doors 30 minutes before closing just to hangout. as a professional I would never do this. Yesterday, I ordered at Panera. The staff was super accommodating to me and were doing the best they could with a large dinner rush, however, the manager Monique was very rude. She was yelling at her employees so loud, people on the other side of Panera could hear her. She was also getting mad at the customers which is unacceptable. Luckily a kind manager named Kristine was there to help the customers in a calm manner. After the rush, she went around making sure everyone was enjoying there food. Update: after calling 3 times the 4th call produced desired results. Explained to the manager, Terri, about the lackluster flatbread pizza. She was understanding, apologetic and took accountability to remedy the issue. Her excellent customer service attitude exceeded my expectations. I regularly order food form the Menifee Panera Bread location, and just recently moved to Temecula. The Menifee location serves hot, tasty and quality items and any issues are handled ASAP. This evening I ordered 2 soups, flatbread pizza, muffin, brownie and grilled cheese sandwich for online delivery. Everything was great EXCEPT the flatbread sausage and pepperoni pizza. It was cold as ice and looked as old as Methusulah!!! The toppings were scarce. I was very disappointed and we threw ot away. Tried to contact Temecula location 3 times and noone answered the phone. The online delivery orders incur a surcharge for the food and 2 types of delivery fees excluding the tip. For $70 I expect excellence not mediocrity. I unfortunately caught the flu, and couldn't go out to get food. My husband is in the medical field and is working a 24, so I was left to get dinner for me and my two girls. I ordered through the Panera app, and unfortunately my delivery updates were not populating in the app. So I called the store to see what the status of my order was. The manager (Marlene I believe), let me know that DoorDash had just picked up my order and was in route to my house. She then proceeded to call DoorDash for me to check the status and make sure my order arrived. Unfortunately it did not arrive :( so Marlene then canceled my order and let me know I could re-order through the app, and she would ensure my order made it's way to me. Sure enough the second order made it's way to us, and Included a special treat for my girls. The way Marlene went above and beyond to ensure we got our delivery meant so much to me.
