I absolutely love Panera bread! However this location was not the best. I arrived around 0900 on a Friday and waited for someone to take my order. There was about 3 females behind the counter hiding behind the pastries. When I made it obvious that I was ready to order, the hostess was not friendly and just took the order and told me how much I owed. I ordered the steak bagel sandwhich ( which is delicious by the way) and I waited for about 15 minutes for my order to be done..... my order was done in about 8 minutes but my number wasn't called and my name wasn't called. I just happened to look up several times and see a bag of food to go. I finally went up and I saw two cooks in the back playing on their phone in plain site. When food arrived, Salad was missing ingredients, Asiago Bread was missing for both of us as well as the pastries we ordered. This place gets high marks for their Service. I go here many times to pick up coffee in the morning and also once or twice for lunch. Every time, I have received impeccable service from all employees. The Manager makes sure any concern that you might have is well taken care of. Panera card also offers you a lot of free goodies like bagel or pastries. An area of improvement would be to ensure the accompaniments next to the Coffee area is filled always. Many times I find empty sugar container and need to inform someone to get it filled up. read more

Do not go to this Panera! They will get your order wrong, tell you they will have the correct order delivered to you in 20 minutes, but never bring it to. I called and spoke with the General manager, Justin, 3 times regarding receiving the incorrect order. My final call was to request a refund and to get the number to corporate. While I was expressing my frustration about the almost 3 hour ordeal he hung up in my face. If the general manager acts like this, imagine how the rest of the staff is. Wow! This is the worst Panera in America and they do not care about their customers. They put chicken in my food, which I did not order, nor do I eat and did not add the avocado(which I paid extra for). This location never fails to disappoint: From making your order wrong to having frozen chickens in the salad. Oh and the delivery cars who park where it's supposed to be for pick up only. And none of these has happened once or twice, but multiple times sadly. They also never pick up their phone during busy hours, which happens to be when I pick up my food like many others do, so I could tell the manager yet once again that my order is messed up and they do nothing about it as usual. I've been here several times for lunch. It's usually very busy. The last few times were lackluster to average. But my last visit there was wretched. The tuna had a funny smell to it and we saw cockroaches on the floor and counter near the coffee bar. Disgusting. We also had trouble getting our order correct with cashier who barely spoke english. I was glad to see them put a Panera in the new complex at the corner of Campbell and US75. Have been there several times for lunch with colleagues as well as dinner. The bread is always good, whether standalone or with a meal. The potato soup is one of my favorites and usually accompanies half a Panini. The baguette is always good. It can be quite busy for lunch, with limited open seating. Dinner is much better. read more

I order from here all the time because it's right around the corner from my office, and they're food is great. Yesterday I made an order for my coworkers because we were having a team meeting. One of the meals delivered was incorrect. I gave them a call and they replaced the entire order no change! And delivered it within an hour, with extra goodies. Today I got a call from Robert, who had delivered my order yesterday, saying he was going to be coming by my office later in the day and wanted to give me more treats to make up for the mistake. This franchise sucks at lunchtime on a weekday becoz there are more people waiting to be seated than those who are lounging and bring their books and kindles to sit and read on a table for 3-4. The food is great. I love the Power breakfast sandwich in the morning. I'd give it 4 stars, but why is the service here (for me) so bad? I've come here three times. Two times out of the three, something went wrong. First time, they forgot my order totally. I sat waiting for 20 minutes. I shoulda had the balls to say something, but I lost those a while ago. The second time, they messed up my order. No problem, they took it back and it came back wrong again. I didn't order anything special on the sandwich, they just couldn't get the order right. (aka what's on the menu.) I've learned I can't come here if I am on a time constraint, so my visits will be much less. But I hope to come back and bring a good review after several hassle free visits from here on out. read more

If you want a "healthier" alternative, then Panera might be the place to go. I always get that pick 2 combo and I end up with a sandwich and the Fuji Apple salad. I believe last time I got the turkey sandwich and these were all manageable portions. Although I think that Panera is a bit over priced, the new check out machine makes waiting a bit more bearable and it gives you more time to figure out what you want via pictures on the iPad's they have. You pick what you want, swipe your credit card, and pick up a number that will buzz when your food is ready. A server brings the food over and after you're done, they come and pick it up. Meal is done, you're satisfied, and go home a happy person. read more

I made an order to go last night at the Panera on Campbell in Richardson for half a frontega chicken sandwich and a cup of corn chowder. There was a considerable wait--but it was a Friday night at dinner time--and I know lots of places are short staffed, so I didn't mind that as much. What was upsetting is that while I was waiting, I kept hearing the manager--who was working in the kitchen along with others--say, I need a half a frontega chicken over and over. But when I got home, the sandwich was a grilled cheese. I generally check my order before I leave a restaurant, but I didn't. The order is right there on the ticket, so GRRRRRR. I'm a regular here! Always a very friendly staff and never an issue. I work in a nearby office building so I frequent this location a lot. It does get very busy around noon, but they have the iPads out there and online ordering which they really push, so it helps the traffic flow thru a little easier! keep doing what you're doing! read more

Ok, so I already wrote a review for the one on Preston. This location is a lot better to me. It is newer I think, so it is clean, bright, and the staff is great. This is a popular place for business meetings, families to eat out, etc. so there have been many times where we had to quickly search for a table or wait for one. It gets crowded. I haven't tried the bagels here, but I have tried the bread (served with food). It is delicious! I love the tomatoe basil soup in a bread bowl. I also love the Strawberry poppyseed salad ( which I don't think they have anymore ..boo!) and the Frontega chicken panini. I only get those three things because I love them so much! Maybe I'll try something different next time. Anyway, I would say Panera is my favorite bakery/cafe place to eat with Corner Bakery being a close second. read more

I'm very satisfied with being able to order from my desk at work and then going to pick it up with no human interaction whatsoever, my lunch is sitting in a cubby to grab and leave. I always get a you pick two, salad (Fuji apple or Asian sesame) and French onion soup. I wasn't a fan of the Thai salad. Asian sesame is way better! The manager here is very nice! They ran out of coffee and I said don't worry about it... so he quickly ran to make a new batch. Panera's food quality and service has gone down hill. My husband and I paid 20 dollars for two breakfast sandwiches, a pastry and coffee. We waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for a simple meal. Finally went up to ask about it and we were given our order. The egg based breakfast sandwiches were small and cold and honestly the bread was tough. My husband's sandwich was not prepared correctly. The food really looked like it might have been pre-assembled and then just barely heated in a microwave. The pecan log roll was tough and stale tasting as well. I knew I didn't like their lunch and dinner options because the quality and taste does not live up to the costs, but their breakfast has also declined in taste and quality. Worst experience yet with Panera. I ordered at the counter and the person taking my order assumed it was to go. I told her it was to stay and she handed me a table pager. My friend order from the same person and she did the same thing. After waiting about 20-30 minutes we asked where our breakfast sandwiches were. They found mine and ended up heating it up in the microwave. I took it back because it looked like half the sandwich was eaten. The break ended and looked like someone had taken a couple of bites. The bread wasn't cut but ripped and the size was about half of what I expected. You can imagine how hard the bread was after microwaving.
