This location always forgets items. And If you pay an extra $1 for a side of honey mustard, they'll just give you a dry sandwich. So you're really paying extra for them to remove it not to get extra honey mustard. Also, if you get a club to go, just know you'll never get a pickle. Ever. Even if your dasher asks them and they say yes, zero chance you will ever get the pickle this sandwich is supposed to come with. I don't know why it's so hard to remember this when it comes with a sandwich ..... and it printed on the receipt. It's a small thing, but so annoying. Without fail, every single time. It's also a really small sandwich for the price. I'm a smaller girl and can eat the sandwich easily and am still hungry so always get a side and soup. read more

This McAlister's has a spacious, modern interior. The long line moved quickly. Everyone in my party ordered the you-pick-two option. I love that 1/2 a spud is a choice, along with sandwiches and soups. It's fast casual, but in my opinion, taste beats Panera and price definitely does. They at first mixed up one of our orders, but quickly corrected it and with a very friendly attitude. Definitely a great spot for a quick and reasonably priced lunch if you're in the area. The pecan berry salad had yummy candied nuts. The chicken tortilla soup was pretty good, but I think I like their veggie chili even more! Can't go wrong really with McAlister's! read more

I ordered a Veggie Spud. The potato of course was hot, but ALL the veggies were completely raw, the broccoli, even the onions. I have never had a baked potato served like this. (I miss Jason's Deli). BTW, that potato was nearly $10! Beverage refills are discouraged, because they are behind the counter, so you have to ask someone to get it for you. I wasn't able to get my ice tea the way I like it, mostly unsweetened with just a little sweet added. Nope, mostly sweet, so I left it there. Won't be going back. But why was I surprised by how good the sandwich components came together. It had this like honey mustard sauce that made the sandwich not try to eat. OK, after 11 yrs we got back to this new location. Lots and lots of competition for casual lunches in Collin county. Pretty sure this McAlister's was located several blocks north of current location. I think they occupy to old Container Store location. Anyway great food and service. We both got the pick two and it was plenty of food. Lots of other customers there for lunch and take out. Don't be concerned about ratings on Yelp. Google reviews much better and higher star rating. Very nice interior layout. Just like before but with new stuff. See photos. The food was good, a nice solid sandwich. One person in particular who was a delight to talk to a know, Gordon. He has the nicest personality and demeanor to us and the customers around us. He made our experience at the restaurant very welcoming and getting to meet him. Much respect to the McAlisters management and great staff. I have eaten at the Terrell location twice. Both times it was delicious and I had no complaints. The soup was fresh and hot and the pie was , well, it was so good I had to share it with my girlfriends. The second time, I ordered the Savannah Chopped Salad. I will be ordering it again next trip. The lettuce was a mixture of different greens, chopped up just like I wanted, chicken was tender, I loved the nuts and cranberries.i normally order the Chopped salad from Maggianos in Dallas. When we walked in it was swamped with people but we decided that it can't be that long for food and my break was an hour long. After we ordered, we were given a number and sat patiently. We waited 45 minutes before I had to ask for a refund because I needed to return to work. Absolutely love this deli. We had one where I went to college in MI and I was so excited to find them down in Texas. They have the best chicken Caesar wraps! They are large wraps with a good amount of chicken (many places barely put and chicken in salad wraps) and perfect amount of dressing. You get a side with the wrap which I usually get the mac and cheese since its so creamy. Great prices for the amount of food you get. Ordering online is very easy and quick. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for this location is due to the curbside pickup. There is no designated pick up spots like it says there is supposed to be. When I got there I said I arrived and stated my car however, we waited 20 minutes for someone to come out and no one did. Ending up going inside and it was just sitting with the pick up orders. If you don't actually do curbside then please do not have that option online. read more

No fries! Ah, what a nice change for a fast food eatery. You can actually have your sandwich with steamed vegetables or salad. Don't get me wrong, you can still find fattening options here (potato chips anyone?), but you might be more likely to choose something healthy and delicious. We don't normally visit this location in Plano, but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. I think we must have just missed the lunch crowd because a few of the tables still hadn't been cleared of debris. Thankfully there were still lots of clean tables to choose from, including one by the window. It's mostly just parking lot and freeway to look at, but that is pretty much par for the course in the DFW metroplex. I ordered a Jalapeño Turkey Crunch with a side tomato and cucumber salad. The sandwich was fantastic! I was tempted to return to the deli today and get the same thing again. It had just the right balance of each ingredient. The jalapeños provided a bit of heat. The avocado chunks were cool and creamy. At first I thought the crunch was the super thin layer of bacon on the sandwich, but it turned out to be perfectly placed potato chips that didn't overwhelm the sandwich. Even the bread was scrumptious. It was super soft and easy to tear off with every bite. The jalapeño cooked into the bread complemented the sandwich. Sadly my tomato and cucumber salad was not as good. There were too few tomato chunks, and the pieces that were there, were quite large. The oil/vinegar/balsamic sauce that they were swimming in did not seem fresh. I immediately regretted not getting the steamed broccoli like my hubby or even a soup instead. My husband's french dip looked amazing. He had no complaints. Matter of fact there was no conversation because he was busy enjoying his meal too. The young man at the register was helpful during our meal selection and afterwards when we asked for drink refills of tea before departing. While we might not return to this particular location, I will definitely return to McAlisters to order this sandwich. read more

Christopher is always there when we come and is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Food is great and tables are clean.

Placed my pickup order at 12:47pm and got the email that it would be ready at 12:59pm. I got there around 1:05pm and my order wasn't even ready.. After about 10 min, I had to continuously ask the staff where my order was. They would say they'll check on it but never came back with an update. It seemed like the staff were avoiding the customers who were waiting for their pickup orders. After an hour of when my order was supposed to be ready, I asked for the manager to cancel my order and a refund but he said he couldn't do that the register since it was an online order and would need to email it out. That's when my order finally came out... The manager blamed it on lack of staff and the rush. I pointed out that dine in customers that came in while I was waiting for my order got their orders before me. The manager told that's because dine in customers are prioritized... I guess it's okay for pickup customers to wait an hour or more.. The lack of staff and rush should not be an excuse given to customers. read more

When I went I ordered a Reuben, but the person who brought it to my table called it a New Yorker, which has ham in it, causing some confusion (I do not eat ham). It was a Reuben but I was freaked out for a minute or two. I also asked for spicy brown mustard and received yellow mustard, so some quality issues.... but the sandwich itself was good. Also, this may be a tad nit-picky, but my plate and bowl hadn't been wiped and looked dirty when they were served to me. So I had to get on the ordering lunch line to inquire about my order. The young lady on the cash register did not seem happy to be at work. Customer service is everything especially when working the cash register. I've been a cashier in retail and entertainment. You serve as the face of the company. When I asked for my order she went to the back to get it. I informed her of my 1/2 and 1/2 drink with no ice. Once returning to work from my lunch break, excited to drink my 1/2 tea and lemonade at the end of my work day to discover it was tea. It's really difficult to find a good reuben sandwich in our area. Jason's Deli used to be my go to place, but their food has gone downhill since the pandemic. Fatty meat, missing food items, etc. I tried Cindi's NY Deli and their reuben was just awful and nothing like I had when I dined in years ago. Jersey Mike's had a great reuben but stopped offering it. Lo and behold I come across McAlister's Deli and I have to say it was a great reuben. I'm only nicking them one star because delivery orders should put the sauerkraut and dressing on the side so the bread doesn't get soggy. Luckily, mine was ok. I should have read the other recent reviews before ordering from this location. I ordered delivery and received an email that it would arrive in 40 minutes -- it took 1 hour and 20 minutes, with no communication from the restaurant in regards to the delay. Our order was incorrect. None of the substitutions were accommodated (BEWARE if you have food allergies), pickles on the side were missing, and the drink arrived with no straw. The cherry on top was the delivery driver placing the bag and drink so close to the front door that it couldn't be opened without spilling the drink. $30+ for 2 sandwiches and a drink was not worth the headache. read more

Eh. It's not my first visit to McAlister's and this particular location failed to impress me. Service was prompt and friendly and fast. Food is what killed me. The sandwich lacked flavor and condiments like mayo and it was really dry. The front lady that took my order forgot to ask me if i wanted pickle on my sandwich. The kid's menu pizza literally look like a flimsy french bread with some sprinkled cheese on top. My son declined to eat it. I can probably make much better sandwiches in 5 mins. read more
