There are lots of confusing aspects that are left to the imagination-you can add protein to the salad bar but they don't give you choices and there's a pretty big add on price range. When I am not in the mood to eat the eggs, I go for the Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup combo. Dip the sexy, cheesy sandwich in the warm tomato jacuzzi. Let them get to know each other. When the time is right, pull the sandwich out of the jacuzzi. It will be dripping with tomato soup. Take that bite while it's steamy. Rinse. Repeat. I'm lactose intolerant but whatever. Always a favorite. I don't think I've ever had anything bad at Jason's. My favorite is the New York Yankee with thousand island dressing, it is the best and lots of meat! I've had their salad bar before which is fantastic, it's all good! It is so disappointing and ruins a meal when you don't get the correct order. I ordered a Beefeater which is only good with the au jus. The cup of au jus was left out of the order and I don't like that sandwich without it. It may sound minor but it is the way I like it and is supposed to be included. Will not be back here. Went in this AM and placed an order only to be told after placing my order and paying "do you have a mask?" The mask mandate is no longer being enforced by most restaurants and ends on Wednesday. The fact they told me after ordering they wouldn't let me eat after being a 10 YEAR loyal customer of Jason's Deli when the mandate ends in 2 days is horrible customer service! I went down the street where a competitor was happy to welcome me in and take my business. Very disappointed in how this store is run! Recently, we visited and when my mother went back to put a few more peppers on her plate, the manager chastised her publicly telling her that this is "one time only". ONE STAR for my customer experience. I'm not into playing the race card, but on this day I was definitely made "aware" of who I am and where I was last night. I was treated as a "second class citizen" if you will. How bout I share my experience and you tell me what you think....? So last night, I decided to eat at this location for dinner. I ordered a soup and sandwich and proceeded to the bar area to get my water. I turn to the salad bar- just to see what was available. I had ZERO intentions of taking anything and I didn't think there was a law against looking at the salad bar items. I happen to look up at the sandwich prep area and caught eyes with the manager. She was staring at me as if she was waiting for me to grab a food item so that she can "spring into action". She just had that look in her eye as if she was waiting and watching... anticipating (if you will). I shook my head, grabbed some napkins and proceeded to find a table. I eat and then place a second order at the cash register for tomorrow's lunch. I PAID FOR MY FOOD AND WAS GIVEN A RECEIPT by a black female employee. I stand to the side (near the entrance) to take a phone call. Wondering why the order was taking so long, I walk closer to the cash register so that I could be seen. The manager asks me if I had been helped and I stare that I'm waiting for my order. The black female employee points to the sandwich in the bag on the far counter next to the other orders. (MY FAULT! It was already made.) The female black employee walks to the back, the manager (white) walls to grab the sandwich. I believe her name was "KENDALL" based on her name tag. Either KENDALL or KENDELL... but I'm pretty sure it was KENDALL. The name tag was in a weird font. She verified the order and walks to the cash register. I have no idea what she was doing, but I can only assume that she was verifying that the order was paid. I walk up to the cash register to tell her that I paid for the order and showed her the receipt that's was IN MY HAND. She barely looked up and tells me that she's printing my receipt. (SERIOUSLY???) She prints another receipt, puts it in my bag and bids me a farewell. As I hold the ORIGINAL RECEIPT IN MY HAND, I thank her, take the bag and leave. Again, I will not play the race card, but this woman went above and beyond to make it clear that she doesn't trust certain people that she works with and she doesn't trust certain customers. I do not like how I felt as I walked away in that moment. She wasn't worth an argument, involving the police or recording the video to post on social media. (FOR WHAT??) Anyways, if I ever go in there again and see her on duty, I'm not eating there. It's one thing to be thorough or take pride in your work... bits another thing all together to be someone like KENDALL. We arrived at 4:45 to finally eat late lunch/early dinner. Nobody was waiting in line. 5 people behind the counter. Nobody looked up to say we will be right with you and we stood there for a while ... at least 5 minutes. I was about to ask my husband if we should go somewhere else but right then the manager walked from the back to the cash register and took our order. Nobody was happy in this restaurant. No smiles. No hellos. Nothing. We noticed there was no ice in their ice machine and my husband said there were no towels in the men's restroom. My husband went up to the manager to let him know about the ice and towels. The manager barely responded. My husband said "You're welcome?" Then the manager came back with I said thank you. Then there was an exchange of words that weren't happy on either side and the manager told my husband to leave. I had a salad bar. How do you take the salad bar to go?!? Manager handled this horribly and it's obvious there must have been something wrong at this restaurant. All of this is pretty ridiculous! We did call Jason's corporate to let them know. They said they'd let their superiors know and we'd get a call. Never got a call. read more
