I have always shopped here because of the service and the products but today I stood in front of the deli counter for over 10 minutes waiting for one of the women behind the counter to wait on me. after 5 minutes I realized that the one woman was not waiting on a customer but gabbing to the other in their native language. the other woman ignored me swatting flies with a fly swatter behind the counter. so why were they ignoring me. did they have a feud and one of them expected the other to,wait on me??? I left to go,pick up my grandchild from daycare and am so disappointed and angry at this whole situation. The place I go for my Eastern European groceries fix. They have it all, from frozen foods to deli meats to freshly baked goods and desserts. They have drinks and spices and the baking and cooking stuff you cannot find elsewhere to make some traditional dish, and all the goodies in between that I long for when I miss my life in the old country. My sister and I were raised in Russia and finding this shoppe was an absolute godsend! (Side note: Our favorites are the tortes and sheet cakes available in the deli section! I'd be 100kgs by now if I allowed myself to indulge every week!) This wonderful little secret of Plano warmed our hearts and brought a little bit of home into our daily lives. The people that work there are precious, kind, and caring! They go above and beyond to keep supplies restocked despite these difficult times. Great place for Russian, Ukrainian, Baltic, European deli, seafood, various foods, desserts, candy, specialty items. I usually go here when I need something that reminds me of my childhood or to treat friends and family. I cook many dishes myself, so this place is where I go for things I normally wouldn't make, like honey cookies (), sunflower seeds (), candy (), ... they have kosher foods, too. Talk about great customer service!!! I was impressed with the attention and excitement the staff showed. While the store did not have what I was looking for the owner called his distributor to see when his next shipment was coming in. He took my name and number and promised to call me when the items come in. At first glance I was a little skeptical of the place because the windows were dark and looked like the place was closed and/or sketchy. But walking in I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of meats and other dry goods. If you are looking for a diamond in the rough or hard to find meats or chocolates this is your place! Darn great selection of typical Russian foods from sausages (choose the Polish in favor of Russian), cheeses, fishes (fresh, smoked and pickled) to full selection of Baltika Beers and old Soviet "Po-Salatka" (semi-sweet) sparkling wines. Good eastern european wines especially from Georgia. Canned and bottled foods and fresh rye bread delivered twice a week from New York (Chicago?) bakeries. Oh yeah, they also offer good selection of caviars from Black to Red, canned and fresh! Place is run by a very friendly BelaRus (Oleh) with an Azerbajainian guy sitting in for him at times. The boxed juices are incredible! But my favorite is the Estonskaya Kielbasa, an Estonian salami that you slice and eat right from the refrigerator! Also love the frozen pelmeni that can be cooked in 4-8 minutes. read more

I have lived in Plano TX for 3 years and I didnt know that there was Russian store right around the corner! We went today with my husband and I was pretty excited that we found the store! Cant believe I didnt know about it. The owner is a very nice and polite guy. He talked with me in Russian and with my husband in English. They have a nice selection of russian style cottage cheese (tvorog) that I missed so much; ravioli (pelmeni); candies; teas; etc. Very reasonable prices. We got a huge fancy box of Russian candies "Rysskaya Troika" to treat our nurses at the hospital for the upcoming event of our first newborn. Overall: very happy and will be going there often now! I like this store a lot. For years I have been shopping there, they have a wide variety of European products. However, recently they do not store properly the sausage products, the casing is peeled and not re-wrap tightly to keep the air out. That way it dries faster and it's prone to get spoiled. If they will not enforced proper food handling for deli products I will not shop there anymore. read more

The prices are pretty high, but the quality and taste of products are wonderful, as well. You'd better come with the list at ready of what you need to buy (and not what you want to buy). Just stopped in for the first time, what a great place and its right down the street, bonus! We had a little difficulty finding it but that was our fault for not seeing the big marquee that said 'Euro Deli too' on the building, duh! The place is not to large but they they had a great selection of products from smoked fish to wine and packaged products. The staff where super friendly and helpful both at the deli and the register. They even gave the kids free rooster suckers when we checked out which where a big hit. The sausage and cheese selection we got where great, we also tried a selection of the frozen blitzes which where tasty. The selection of the vereniki, manufactured out of Brooklyn and was frozen not fresh was NOT very tasty. I really wanted to be able to say it was OK, when I bought them I thought I be at least able to say the where good for being out of the frozen section but I can't. Eating them was supposed to bring back fond memories of growing up with a mother who is Russian and grandparents who came over from the old country but they didn't. The ones we had where plain and lacked any taste at all, I spent the next 15 minutes convincing my kids that 'Grandma's will not taste anything like this!'. Do yourself a favor and Google how to make them or better yet find a cute Russian who will make them for you. Don't waste your your money on these frozen ones from Brooklyn but do visit this location it's a great place with great people. read more
