When I lived in Austin, I loved H-E-B. They had great quality products at competitive prices. While the quality and variety are still prevalent, the price seems quite expensive comparative to Central Market which is supposed to be even more expensive, but isn't. This particular H-E-B is massive. It is much larger than any grocery store I visited in Austin back in the day, but this made the experience more daunting. I really found the place overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Despite being there on a weekday (Tuesday) during the middle of the day, the place was packed. There were lots of people shopping and there were also lots of employees trying to push large loading carts down aisles to restock. Since there is no logical direction to move through the store like at Central Market, people came from all directions causing ongoing congestion. I appreciated the signs above the shopping cart return stations in the parking lot that reminded customers to bring their reusable bags. Unfortunately, I didn't have mine with me. At checkout, I was dismayed that staff would place only ONE item in a plastic bag instead of grouping three or four like items. I ended up with way too many bags. It was ridiculous and unnecessary. They didn't seem to have an option of paper or plastic - only plastic was a choice. I didn't expect to come here today, so I didn't download the H-E-B app or bring coupons. I would recommend doing both! You will be in sticker shock if you don't. I'm still a fan of H-E-B products, but I think I will stick with Central Market which is closer to me, less crowded, easier to navigate, and affordable for a high end shopping experience.

Awesome bakery made a specialty cake for a great price. I ordered it from long distance - sending a photo - and they created it on time to perfection. At the last minute I purchased freshly baked croissants that were also delicious! They were very large for "minis" which made them an especially good deal. Their in-house sourdough was scrumptious with the HEB Cherrywood Ham/Havarti on sandwiches, too. The grocery pre-order pickup also went very well. The shopper provided every item and it was brought to the car quickly despite it being a busy super-bowl Sunday.

I really don't know what to say about this place other than wow it's amazing! They're really aren't many grocery stores anywhere but I've ever been to the compare to this one. It's like a food and drink city warehouse or something. More choices than you know what to do with and the crowds today on a Sunday afternoon are enormous. But the selections are fantastic. The prices are good And it's really a great place to get pretty much anything you want to. As an example we drove 20 minutes out of the way to come here to purchase a specific product that we couldn't find anywhere otherwise.

After watching H-E-B rush to help the victims of the flash floods, I couldn't help but feel compelled to go to HEB this store is very large and looks like they recently had a remodel. The aisle are large and can comfortably have two carts travel down them side by side. My favorite part of the store was the premade healthy snacks. I had the chicken salad with crackers and yum , very tasty. The prices are lower than the other markets I have shopped at and they have in store coupons. They have a great variety of fresh produce. I will come back again.

HEB is not just a grocery store -- it's a Texan tradition in itself. In past years, HEB has come up from not just south and central Texas, but now has made their debut as one of the only locations in North Texas (with Irving and Southlake slated to open more locations soon). My experience at the one up on Preston Blvd. in Plano was probably by far one of the most memorable times I have ever gone to an HEB - let alone, the only one to exist in North Texas by far. When they mentioned size, though, let's just say that they were NOT playing around when it came to size. HEB is known for their saying -- providing Texans with the lowest prices and the best quality in terms of groceries, everyday essentials, and so much more. In fact, I find it so convenient that they even sell everyday toiletries like you could find at a CVS, except for a lower price compared to other establishments like Central Market or Kroger's. Because this supermarket was literally so big, there were so many lanes open and the checkout process literally went by QUICK.

My first time at HEB. I love perusing a grocery store, and man, there was so much to look at. I had googled what to buy from this article: https://www.kwsanantonio.com/news/amp/26-h-e-b-products-texans-cant-live-without/ Huge shout out to Denise for guiding me towards her favorite products. She said to buy the fresh queso near the produce dept and use beer instead of milk. Can't wait to try it! So many nice and helpful employees. This ain't no Kroger! The bathrooms were clean and large stalls with real walls.

1 Star - Crate & Barrel: Disrespect Is Not Good Customer Service…read more Let me paint the picture clearly. I walked into the Crate & Barrel store--dressed well, walking with confidence--ready to browse and spend money. Four sales associates, all white, standing in a small group near the entrance. They saw me. One made direct eye contact as I walked in... then immediately turned back around like I was invisible. No greeting. No "Hello." No "Welcome in." Not even a nod. Just went right back to their conversation like I wasn't even a person who just entered their place of business. As I walked through the store--alone, the only customer in sight--not a single associate approached me. I passed multiple staff members. Nothing. No offer to help. No eye contact. No acknowledgment. It wasn't until I turned around to leave, clearly disappointed, that someone finally called out from behind, "Did you need help with something?" Now you ask? After I've walked the whole store and been completely ignored? Let's be real: I'm a Black man. And I know exactly what I experienced. This wasn't just bad service--it was selective service. Let's not pretend like they didn't know how to greet a customer. They just chose not to treat me like one. So I left. I got on my phone, Googled your competitors, and headed straight to West Elm. Night and day. At West Elm, I was greeted warmly the second I walked in. Asked what I was looking for. Shown options. Given space and attention without hovering or ignoring me. It was clear they wanted my business and valued my presence. Guess what? That's where my money went. And that's where it'll go again. Crate & Barrel--you lost more than a sale today. You lost a customer. And I hope others who value dignity, equity, and basic respect take note. Do better.

I never got a solid plan, they hard-sold me high, promising we would reduce it, just to make me sign the contract. (my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. I don't have the energy to upload pics but maybe later. Just trust me; pick someone else. Signed, Exhausted, Angry and Broke

It had been a few years since I've been in one of their stores, and I think the last time I was here was because I was buying something off of a friend's wedding registry. My experience here was wonderful because of the sales person that I met. Deborah was amazing! While I like to cook and bake, I by no means am an expert, but Deborah was able to help me understand which direction I probably want to go when I buy my new set of pots.
