However,my recent visit was less than satisfying. I found the produce to be seriously lacking and the rest of the store gave me an uneasy feeling. They still have the best Tres Leches in Texas. I can't believe it took me so long to visit this market but I'm so glad I did, because now it's one of my favorite grocery stores! They have a small food area inside with authentic tacos, aqua frescas, and fried dishes. Their vegetables and fruit selections are pretty nice as well, but my favorite part is the MEAT section! They have a huge selection of meat and seafood (similar to 99 Ranch), but the prices are fantastic. I found beef short ribs for $5.47/lb, compared to the typical $11/lb at Asian markets. Their chicken and pork are well-priced as well, and they have amazing weekly deals. They also have a nice bakery section, and your typical grocery store items, but the meats and produce are the best price that I've seen. The store is much cleaner than I expected it to be, and everything is organized and fully stocked. Highly recommend adding it to your weekly grocery stop! read more

For the holidays we decided to have a Mexican food menu, including tamales, enchiladas, Spanish rice, and a whole lot of other things. One of those other things was Mexican chocolate milk drink. This is where we found it. We're glad that we did because it has become a family favorite. Having said that, there is a lot to explore at this market in Plano on the east side. There was a lot of variety, and that was appreciated. Unfortunately, in all honesty, I have to state that the grocery store did feel dirty and crowded. Examples of the dirty feeling were we found one last bag of mini marshmallows, and we had resigned ourselves to get take that one and then noticed it had been opened in a small spot, and a few marshmallows had been taken out, and then it had been put back on the shelf unnoticed staff . There were pallets on the floor in inconvenient places, and we, even without a cart had to skillfully go around obstacle after obstacle aside from navigating through crowds of people. It felt like it hadn't been well cleaned in quite a while. Also, there were carts outside in the parking lot far removed from the store itself and they were even in places where cars could have parked if the cards weren't there. They did not appear to be rounding them up with any great haste, but left them out for us to also work our way around. Would I go back? If I knew that I needed something that they had, I would. The bakery department is amazing. There is such a variety of selection at this store. We came here for ingredients for quesadilla, and they have fresh tortilla, and the cheese section was amazing. There is also fresh salsa, pico de gallo, crema, etc. We came here in the weekend, and it was packed. They also served samples. There is also a little restaurant. The produce are pretty cheap too. Today I went in to just get a Aguafresca. I stood at the counter in front of the juices and not one employee greeted me or even look like they worked in the kitchen. I'm in food service, to be honest I been in the kitchen as a Chef for over 20 plus yrs. And cooked in the Navy for 8 of the yrs I served. When someone did pop out they assisted someone else that came in after me. Mind you all I wanted was a delicious cup of juice. That's it!!! But no didn't get shit but ignored as if I didn't exist. It felt like I shouldn't have even walk in the store because in any other setting I would have raised hell. But because of how horrible customer service was I wouldn't spend a Dollar in that store. I went right next door inside the fruitaria and I got me a juice I was craving for because it was hot outside. Management needs to be more aware of what's going on and they need to be visible so that when you have a customer waiting in line for 10 mins with no help is a problem. And whoever is running the store needs a refresher course on customer service and how to train employees how to do their job. It seemed like the employees were running the show and did whatever they wanted to do. That was my first horrible experience there. I'm surprised they're still a functioning business with staff like that. . I hope corporate sees this message so they can fix the problem. Maybe start with hiring better employees and or GM. This lady claimed to be the manager and she was backed by an unruly rude employee who both went off on me and one of them threatened to physically harm me outside. The amount of disrespect I received today over checking out some produce is the height of it all. I need a response/update on this matter as I would also be filing a police report to ensure my safety. Shopping should be a delight not a stressful situation. They have fresh pan dulce that absolutely the best. I would recommend going down every isle at this place. You will be blown away at all the amazing things you find. I would challenge you to try something new you haven't tried before as well. If I could 0 stars today I would. The unprofessionalism I dealt with today it's no words to establish the disrespect I had to deal with. As a p.o.c I understand coming to America not knowing the language but for you not to speak basic English is astonishing to me if I'm asking you where is mango and a employee tell me no habla ingles. I would be confused because mango in English is the same in Spanish. On top of that I didn't know bringing kids into the work place was allowed. I understand times are hard but if I'm asking you to assist me and your trying to attend to them i feel like that shouldn't be allowed. Wonderful place to stop in and get some fresh agua fresca, Latin American breakfast or lunch items ranging from ceviche to empanadas and everything in between is freshly made and served cafeteria style for a very reasonable you can get some fresh squeezed orange juice made right there next to the produce section as well. They have a wonderful selection of birthday cakes that are tres leches and you can have them do custom writing just like at other supermarket bakeries but it's tres leches underneath which makes it special! I so enjoy shopping here for items that are in limited quantity or not carried at all in mainstream supermarkets. The fruits and vegetables look good and you can't beat the prices! They always have large quantity of tomatillos, jalapeños, tomatoes, etc. all the traditional Mexican foods. Regular grocery stores have such small quantities and usually the items are in poor condition. Inside this Fiestas is a Mexican fast food restaurant. I have not eaten here, but they are busy every time I come to do my shopping. Looks like lots of chicken, pork, and beef dishes. They might even serve goat. They have a great selection of fish and varies meats. There's even live fish in tanks you can take home and eat for dinner! You can't get any fresher then that. The checkers are always friendly. Been coming here to shop for grocery for a while now, but never had the tacos until today, had 3 Barbacoa and 2 chicharrón, Barbacoa was tasty, but SUPER GREASY! At least it was not beef brisket trying to be like barbacoa, probably cachete (cheek meat) , the chicharrones were good but fiery hot, could not finish it was SOOO, HOT! I appreciate that you can get hard-to-find items like Mexican canela and dried jamaica flowers here, and they also have a lot attractive-looking fresh produce. They even have some Brazilian products like Pilão coffee. The store could be cleaner, though, including the checkout registers When I shop at Hmart across the street, the conveyor belts where you put your food are always spotlessly clean, even down to the metal grooves beside them. Those ladies are fanatical, but here they are far more lackadaisical about cleanliness. Makes you wonder a bit what goes on behind the scenes in areas like the meat department. This Fiesta has The freshest produce!! And lots of it too! It takes me back to the markets in Mexico. You can get everything here. Hard to find Mexican foods are here! They also make their own chicharones that you can buy in huge bags in the back! Also have a panaderia where they have bollios and lots of sweet bread options and cakes. Huge Mexican cheese section - my favorite! Meat and seafood butcher available for whatever meat cut you want! The selection is wide and the prices are competitive. While its many specialty is Mexican food, this store has many ethnic specialty foods represented, from Southeast Asian to Middle Eastern to British. Compared to mainstream supermarkets such as Kroger or Tom Thumb, they have hard-to-find produce items such as cactus, tropical fruits such as guava, and the rarely-found plantain. Even though the store is pretty large, shopping here during peak weekend hours can be overwhelming, as it tends to get pretty busy. I recommend going either during the week during non-peak hours or early in the morning to beat the crowds. I guarantee you will find a few items you are unlikely to find elsewhere! read more

Fiesta has always got the freshest produce, and they restock frequently. They have a great mix of seasonal fruits and veggies, all at reasonable prices. The meat counter is impeccably clean and filled with preseasoned meats of all types. From carne al pastor to head cheese to sliced cheese to pig ears -- you can get it here. Packaged meats are just as fresh, but if you want to pick out that perfect oX tail or pork chop, meat counter service is always friendly and helpful. Fiesta has a large fresh fish area, that has NO SMELL -- a plus for us. A grocery store will not get 5 stars from us if you can smell the fish department. Fiesta stocks a wide variety of ethnic foods from Africa, Europe (especially the UK) and Asia, so if you need Indian curry and Japanese Ramen and British Spotted Dick pudding and Middle Eastern tahini paste -- come here and get it all in one trip :) read more

This place is awesome! We came here to get crawfish. This has to be the best place to get crawfish. We got two sacks of crawfish. They come in 30 pound sacks. They were a great deal. They were 1.79 per pound this year. We got them around the beginning of march. We also come here and had lunch. They have a nice taqueria in this particular Fiesta. The best bet here has to be the torta. They sell tortas which are pretty big for 4 dollars. I just went with their barbacoa. They offer various different drinks as well. They have orchata. I usually pick up veggies and fruits here and they usually last about a week for me. Cashiers and the staff are extremely helpful and go out of the way to help you if you are trying to find something. I love this place. It is clean, the service friendly. The chicken legs are a winner and at 48 cents a pound easy on the pocket book. These are not what is in other stores, these chickens were allowed to run free. The taste is phenomenal, plus the bones are strong. From broth to dumplings these are superb. Great store for produce, seafood and meat. I always come here for the specials on the fresh fruits and vegetables. Their seafood prices are easily the best of all grocery stores in the DFW area. You might have to peel a few shrimp but for $4 a pound, I'll do the work when they are large size. I also get the small bottles of gatorade here which for a 6 pack is usually $3, while they can be up to $6.50 at other stores. I don't get laundry or paper products you can get those cheaper elsewhere. The lines on Sundays can get crazy long so plan accordingly. read more

Our family loves Fiesta. The clerks are always really friendly and the prices on produce are really great. They also have a fairly good selection of organic produce and soy milk, pretty cool. The food was once very good. The cafe' is run by about 5 sweet, senior ladies that are more involved with bickering among themselves than they are about taking a customer order. I have walked away several times when no one would take my order because they were all in heated arguments. I can tell that their business is dropping as the items on their steam table look dangerously stale. It was a good place to enjoy an affordable good Mexican meal but it is clear that their offerings are not good..they have to recycle the food day after day given the loss of their customer base.
