My absolute favorite grocery store in DFW. It's a higher end grocery store but do feels down to earth with affordable prices. The things that are more expensive you truly feel like they are good quality and a decent value. They have a lot of produce that you wouldn't see anywhere else. The bakery is legit and has awesome cakes and breads. Snacks and dried goods imported from all over the world. They have a really nice selection of flowers that they'll beautifully wrap up for you. Plus the cafe has really good food. We always get pizza and it's great quality for a great price. They also have a playground for little ones. Shopping at Central Market is truly a one of a kind experience and I always leave feeling excited about the new and unique things they have. They frequently have special events and themes too. I remember a few years ago they did one on Portugal and had a bunch of imported Portuguese items and they made Portuguese bread and pastries in the bakery. It was amazing. read more

Fancy market for sure. Fun fruit and vegetable art work out front, just don't trip over it. Walking in you see that they have cooking classes and other fun assorted activities. Once you walk in, it is kind of sensory overload. There is a "food court" right up front with several options. Hamburgers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, gelato, and more. Plenty to choose from. I also went back to the bakery and checked out their assorted baked goods. I was underwhelmed. They looked phenomenal but they were average size, etc. But the prices were outrageous. More expensive that San Diego prices which kind of surprised me. I ended up getting a hamburger. The chef was very nice, friendly, made me laugh. He built me a fantastic bleu bonnet burger. It was tasty, flavorful, filling. It was cooked a little more than I would normally want, but still yummy. the Brioche Bun was good, but did fall apart a little bit. Maybe warming it on the grill had something to do with that. I went with a combo that included a drink cup for the help yourself drink station. The drink station had interesting flavors I have never seen before, and some old standards like coke, diet coke, sprite. The combo also included crinkle cut fries. They were warm, golden brown, delicious but they were a little overdone. Definitely needed some ketchup to help eat them. The staff at the checkout lines were smiling, laughing, friendly, and when they had to check out one of their coworkers, you could see the strong camaraderie amongst the employees. When I need to buy flowers, I start looking at Market first. They have better choices and quality of flowers than what you get at other grocery stores at a good price. When my granddaughter had a dance recital, I went there for her bouquet, and I gave them several days notice - it was beautiful. The workers at the floral department are very helpful and often times make suggestions, which helps me out a lot. This is one of the best grocery stores I've ever been too. Everything is beautifully displaced and fresh. I liked the layout of it. Any person I interacted with at a meat or seafood counter was very helpful. We enjoyed everything we bought here from the filet mignon, seafood, fresh bakery items, and even some schnitzel at the hot bar. We will definately be back to try more items!! I'm obsessed with this place. It's a little bit of a drive but totally worth it. From the fresh flowers and produce to the amazing bakery and extensive wine collection and large butcher counters they have everything you could ever want from a fresh market. I came on a Sunday afternoon with my daughter and she was obsessed with the samples, the large candy selection and all of the fun foods to choose from. I love that they have a coffee and gelato bar too. Just all in all a perfect place for a foodie. read more

What could I say about Central Market that hasn't already been said? The best produce in the DFW can be found here. Not only is it the freshest, it's also the largest selection of leafy greens, herbs, mushrooms, and tropical fruits. They also have their own coffee beans, bakery, milk, and eggs. And so many other grocery items. If you like H-E-B, you have to make a visit to Central Market. These reviews are probably more for non-Texans, since we know about CM. Nonetheless, I was able to find my favorite Cowgirl Creamery cheese here. But I still need to try so many of the baked goods and food court style hot food section. Not to mention the four kinds of poke in the meat & seafood department. I've never had to struggle to find anything because there's always someone approaching me to ask if I need help. Or there's someone around that I can ask for help. Everything is always so organized and the smells from the hot food section will be enough to keep you there for at least some time. I didn't even mention the beautiful floral section. Love the option to buy individual, long stem roses. I think the large selection of colors is in preparation of Mother's Day, but they have tropical florals normally too. So it could just be the wonderful magic that is CM. What am I forgetting? Probably the fresh salad bar. Or the antipasti bar. Or my favorite feature of all - the banana wall. You can select from unripe, ripe, or organic bananas that are all organized by their features. If I didn't cover it, I'm sure someone else did. Just don't shop hungry. There are way too many delicious things to be carted. Happy grocery shopping! read more

The cheese selection is larger than what you'll find in most supermarkets, and the prepared foods section is extensive as well. The store is clean, and the staff is consistently friendly. I love this place. Going to Central Market is very much a special shopping experience for me. When I wander through the vegetables and fruits, I'm always impressed with the variety and the quality of the produce. I'm more like to try something new and different here than in a regular grocery store. They don't usually group items for sale. You have to bag items that you want and find a scale. There are clearly posted signs indicating what the food item is, the price per pound or other measurement, and a PLU number. You must enter this 4 digit PLU number on the scale and press enter. A tag is printed that you can place on the produce with the total price. As you zigzag through the different departments of the store you'll notice that prices are much higher here than elsewhere. However, in addition to beautiful quality and variety, you'll also find organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, and other special dietary restriction products available here. The place reminds me of Ikea since you have to wind through the store in a certain way, but there are secret passageways that let you cut corners and quickly skip a department, like the extensive winery of international, national, and local grapes or the bakery with gorgeous golden boules and baguettes. The self serve fridge and the on-demand-counter are some of my favorites. They have a dinner-for-two bag that you can buy for less than $20. It always has a delicious protein, side vegetable, and side grain. The instructions to reheat these items in the oven or microwave are attached to the front. It's a fast and lovely meal for you and a special someone. You can also get single meals when going solo or platter portions for a larger family. It's one of my favorite things, and if I lived closer, I would probably go every week. At the moment, I do go once a week because I'm in the area for physical therapy anyway. The grocery store is amazing! However, I am here to write about the cooking school! My husband surprised me with a cooking class here, and we had a really fun time! Sean, Brittany, and Nancy made the experience so exhilarating! We did the "All About Chicken Class" and everything was so good! The kitchen was super clean, and pretty spacious! Our class was about 10 people and it was very hands on! At least half the class got the opportunity to cook on the stove! read more

It's been too long. Haven't been here in a few months. It was my go to for prepared foods for a while. It's so easy to buzz through here and get those items that are just a cut above. Making your days special can and should include a trip to the Central market once in awhile. Last time I was in here everything was a little chaotic and off putting. So,I haven't been back till now. I was glad to see their move towards prepackaging all the bulk items has been reversed. It's nice to get exactly the variety of olives you want. Seems they've settled back into a well stocked specialty grocer. If you are familiar with this store you either love it or hate it. There is a learning curve associated with shopping here. I drove half an hour to buy some New York strip for 9.99 a lb. The staff at the meat counter said they are out of stock. I went to customer service counter to see if I could get a rain check like what Tom Thumb and Kroger would do. The guy simply said " we do not do rain check" with no apology. Fantastic service! Friendly staff. Especially in the gelato department...so many complimentary tastes. The floral staff Crystal I think her name was... My daughters got a flower from her .. they are still talking about it hours after. We walked a 1/2 block from our hotel. The playground was a big hit amongst the ladies in my family. On 3/21/26 our family ordered tea sandwiches, vegetable, fruit, cookies & bars on covered trays for a family event; Selections were diverse & attractive and we benfitted from their delivery to the site of celebration on time for a reasonable fee --unlike other food sources that dont deliver. Get the peach pie! It was so delicious when warmed up and with a scoop of ice cream. The crust was so good and I'm usually not crazy about pie crust. Moving on, I came here for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect but there's so much to look at and try. They have a coffee bar, different roasts, a burger bar, cold food bar, breakfast bar and pizza bar, taco bar, a tortilla bakery, regular bakery, everything you could every need to build a charcuterie board, groceries, they have it all. I ended up getting a chicken burger - made on the spot and very good. Loved the roll it came on! I got the pie of course, a muffin which was also delicious, and sushi. My only regret is coming here knowing I had to be somewhere else soon so my time was limited. I will be coming back to browse slowly and try more things! I think they also have cooking lessons. Central Market is a place of wondrous amazement for forty-somethings. I am ashamed to say that I have not shopped here in over 20 years, but today's visit completely changed that, and I can say with certainty that I will return. An array of fresh produce, meat, seafood, artisanal cheeses, several varieties of real, authentic Italian pasta, Asian and Indian products, sushi, a wide selection of specialty wines, and everything you could possibly want and more meets the eye and before you know it, you have left the store with a full cart. Each aisle was clearly marked and items were easy to find. From the time we entered the store until we self-checked out, it was a pleasant shopping experience. Josh(cheese section), Neal(cheese section), and Cory(seafood counter) were the true standouts here and all inquired if we needed assistance. The selection of cheeses were impressive - but most noteworthy is the Mitica Drunken Goat Cheese. I have enjoyed this particular cheese for years, but believe me when I say to pair it with Strawberry Prosecco Jam and place it on either a Crostini or a Sourdough Flatbread Cracker. Life-changing. You can find it with the rest of the jams and spreads. You're welcome. I then turned to Josh who helped me select a pale yellow Medium Cheddar blend to try with the scores of Sourdough Flatbread Crackers that I had previously țossed into my cart. Neal directed me to the Mozzarella Pearls and Bocconcini since I was looking for a particular brand. We chatted a bit and he mentioned that the Coit Location had undergone a recent remodel. Now that I know my way around, it will be easier to navigate the store. As we browsed the impressive variety of seafood, we were greeted by Cory with a smile. He was engaging, eager to assist, and had a professional work ethic. I was interested in the Nova Scotian Halibut. It was a pretty meaty portion and the $25 sticker price confirmed that it was of high quality. It was a delicious choice for a late lunch, as I put together a dry rub (per Cory's suggestion)and popped it in the oven. It came out flaky, fork-tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The Brown Rice Vegetable Roll Sushi and Avocado Spring Roll were both freshly handmade and placed in the display case. Took one of each; shared and enjoyed at home with Mom. In today's world, (especially with Yelp and Google Reviews which must be taken with a grain of salt), you never know what type of day someone is having and some people are downright nasty and mean, but that was not the case here. All three interactions with staff members and employees were pleasant and Customer Service was right on point. For being an upscale store, the prices are in line with what I would be comfortable spending without compromising on quality. read more

This is a pretty awesome supermarket. Maybe the best supermarket I've even been to. Their selection is really quaint, kinda like what Whole Foods use to be like. Some really exotic brands that honestly are really quite good. Quality is the key thing you think of when shopping here. They make a lot of in-house stuff also but it's not all good. The bread is awesome but that gelato is terrible-I mean terrible. Hard pass unless you've never had gelato before. Spencer told me that cooked foods aren't good there either. Tuesday, 5/27/2025 at the Coit Rd. Plano, TX location: I stood in line at the customer service desk for at least five minutes watching the clerk struggle. Finally a woman came through a door and entered some numbers in his register and she ran back through the door. Another few minutes go by and she comes back, enters some numbers, runs away again. I'm still third in line and judging from their system, it will be another 10 minutes before it's my turn. Out pops a 20-something girl and I ask - can you get some more help for him please? ​​​ She SHOUTED AT ME - NO! He's the only one! Then she got on her cell phone. That was it for me. I left and went to another grocery store. By the way, the reason the people in front of me were in line is because they bought things that didn't ring up correctly. Just a complete ripoff! If you order Home Delivery, load a cart with $150 of food and they only deliver half of it, both your delivery charges and tip for the smaller amouth remains the same!! When you call support, you can't do a GD thing for you, not even as first time shopping caught in their corruption!!
