What an awful experience. Having priced out 3 locations I settled on Good Fortune. BIG mistake. The price was right but the lobsters were HORRIBLE! The roe in one of the lobsters was black/red and the one I cracked into was a neon green. The first and only bite we took was our only. We were both afraid we may contract food poisoning. Ruined our New Year Eve dinner. Thank god for the Italian bread we bought from another store. You get what you pay for. read more

Was in the area for lunch and decided to stop by to get some grocery goods. This is the first time I've been here, and it was pretty overwhelming in a good way. There was a lot of things to buy such as snacks salsa noodles everything that you could think of. The fruit and vegetable prices were also really reasonable compared to other grocery chains. I definitely want to come back to get groceries for such a good prices. Checking out with fast and workers were really nice. They bagged the groceries in an organized way, making sure the frozen items were separate from the non-frozen items. read more

This is a fantastic store for all of your Chinese food needs. The vegetable section is enormous. There is also a meat and fish section with fresh fish. There are literally hundreds of different food items from China, from sauces to tea to frozen to boxed goods. There are snacks galore. I noticed that prices have gone up a bit, maybe due to Trump's tariffs on China? Prices are still pretty reasonable though. If you can't find what you are looking for here, the only other place to look is China. Ambiance is ok, what you would expect from a grocery store. Sometimes that fish smell is pretty strong but not on this most recent trip. Service is efficient though not especially friendly. An Asian supermarket with a variety of previously frozen cuts o meat ot typically found in Kroger, HEB, or Tom Thumb. How does a whole oxtail weight more than when it is cut??? No it was not trimmed. It was the same tail -fat, bones, and all- when I had the butcher reweigh it and it was less than when he weighed it whole. He charged me the higher weight. I complained and due to a language barrier we could not come to an understanding. At the check out I asked for customer service/mgr. Now he's irritated and goes to the butcher and returns w/a different price tag (less). This slick "ish" is why I will never return here again. Not even deserving of 1 star. read more

This store has everything you could imagine! So many types of snacks! In the back, there's a large meat and seafood station! The produce is super fresh, with great options for fruit and vegetables. Lots of candy and chocolates. I could spend hours in this store. The aisles are packed yet organized. Aside from the seafood station, the place smelt great and was clean. The check out line was super efficient with no line! Carts are convenient, and you can take them out to your car in the parking lot. read more

I've decided to stop shopping at Tom Thumb. I've been a customer for years, however, I'm tired of their marked up pricing, digital coupons which rarely work. The Cashier said I needed to buy an IPhone 16 in order to scan. I'm not stupid. The pharmacy discriminates on people 65 and above. They do not honor the 5 stamp prescription for 20% off when your on Medicare. They just need to make their pricing competitive and drop the ridiculous digital coupons that the staff doesn't even know how to work. read more

Even though they have deals on certain items, they price gouge you on most of the stuff. Workers are sullen and unfriendly. Craziest part was that tipping culture has gotten out of control as there was even a tip jar at the meat/poultry station. So I Asian Supermarket hop all the time. I've shopped Grand Prairie, Arlington, H Mart in Carrollton Haltom City local market even Houston's store which is my favorite but this was a very well organized supermarket. Medium sized store with a decent sake soju section. I loved their tea and snacks assortment and overall nice array of selections. Since this was my 1st time I was impressed with their layout, it didn't feel like just the same boring supermarkets you go to, can't wait to go back for a second run during Chinese New Year to explore more of the neighborhood. read more

2012-2014 I worked in this Store as Armed Security Officer. Very nice managment (at that time at least). Manager & both assistents are very good. Others employees nice people too. Even most of customers (surprise, surprise..) freandly. Food mostly good. Reasnable prices. Some things hard to find (Russian buckwheet for example). Parking lot: will.. Store maybe hould change contractor. Asphalt is replaced every two years, it seems. But when it rains there are puddles of water. Is the contractor unable to make asphalt without dents or does management not force him to do his job properly? I haven't worked at Fiesta for almost 13 years, but I often buy food there. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Me and my boyfriend stopped by for a quick snack and picked up 2 bags of chips. We went to check out and his total was $4 something and he tapped his card and it took a long time to go through, at least 45 seconds to be approved which felt abnormally long. Once it went through, the screen made him give a signature. The cashier made him sign the screen, something I've never seen for $4 worth of chips. I thought it was weird as I don't even have to sign when I buy $200+ worth of groceries at any other store. Once we got home we saw he had a $4 charge to his card and a random $25 charge from this store that he obviously did not make. He disputed the charge immediately but avoid the hassle and shop elsewhere. Never had this issue at 99 Ranch market or H Mart or other similar grocery stores. Very disheartening to be charging our cards for $25 worth of things we did not buy when we simply came for a small purchase of chips. Never will shop here again. read more

Richardson Chinatown is one of the OG china towns in DFW area. I remember back in the day this location used to be the original asian supermarket. They even had a food area inside that served pork chop with rice. That was a long time ago and definitely different ownership. Nowadays, most of the good places are further up north. We do visit this supermarket sometimes when we're near the area. Their stuff is generally pricier than its competitors. I do like their bags though. Huge and sturdy. Makes great bedroom wastebasket trash bags. I will say that they keep their place absolutely freezing in the winter. They don't turn on the heater at all during winter time. Also their checkout area is extremely narrow and exit area can be quite crowded and be a bottleneck. read more

Of all the Asian supermarkets, this is the one I frequent the most. A fabulous produce section of fresh and wide variety of vegetables not found elsewhere. Wonderful meat section with butchers fulfilling specific orders of specific cuts. Strong fishy smell as one would expect while walking quickly through their seafood section. Though narrow are the aisles, items needed to refill my cupboards and pantry are well displayed, stocked, categorized, and, easily found. As for their frozen section, I love their delightful variety of popsicles. Reasonable is their competitive pricing to other markets. If I could give this grocery store zero stars I would. Poor customer service and store cashiers are rude. Store cashier said I need to speak Chinese if I shop at the store. I replied back this is the United States of America! Guy at Customer Service counter won't do returns. He made me go back to the long check out lines again to do a return. There is not an express checkout. Also, buyers beware - price signs can be misleading. If the sign says buy 2 for $X, you have to buy 2 to get the special price. I struck nostalgia gold at Good Fortune Supermarket the other day. I knew these sesame mochis weren't a figment of my imagination! All my childhood favorite jarred and canned small appetizers and condiments have been here this whole time! I found those glass jarred pickled cucumbers and fried vital wheat gluten snacks I grew up with and took for granted (BPA free glass cough cough)....and the weird but fascinating gross meats section is alive and well. This Asian supermarket is the best in North Dallas, Richardson area, in the China Town. The layout is similar to American supermarkets like Kroger. A big produce section on the left side of the store, meat department way back. Frozen food to the right. Other general packaged goods are in the center of the store, such as snacks, condiments, tea/coffee, etc. The whole store is very clean and well-organized. Employees are friendly and well trained. I recommend it. With many great restaurants right around it, you can have a great meal first, then grocery shopping here and put in a walk at the same time. read more

They have a bin near the refrigerated veggies section where the bags of various vegetables are only $1. Some of the bags are a mix of vegetables, some are a single vegetable. This is one of the most Asian supermarkets I've ever been to, which is impressive because I've been to countless ones before. As such I will be reviewing this as compared to those others. There's a good selection of produce and seafood, especially in terms of exotic seafood. They sell frogs and soft-shelled turtle, which I have only seen in a handful of other grocery stores. That's an indication of how Asian this place is. They also have extensive offerings of frozen foods, including meats that are thin-sliced and ready for hotpot! This is definitely my one-stop shop for all ingredients hotpot. However, while this supermarket is super Asian, it's to the point where employees may not understand what you're looking for, as there may be a language barrier. I spent 10 minutes talking to various employees trying to hunt down sukiyaki base, which I ended up not finding. There have been a multitude of other things I've looked for and asked for, to no avail. I even tried to communicate in Chinese to describe what I was looking for. They also have a large selection of noodles that spans at least 2 aisles, not including the refrigerated section. If you're looking for any kind of noodle, you'll probably find it here. Additionally, in terms of cleanliness and neatness, this place is decently clean. It's not as buttoned up as somewhere like Gelson's or Central Market but it's good enough. If you don't like the smell of seafood or fish, don't venture more than halfway into the store. 3.3/5. Convenient for at-home hotpot or anything you may be cooking that's Asian food. Other than that, doesn't really stand out, and since most other Asian grocery stores are as such, this place is A-OK. read more

I can not speak highly enough about this store. A friend of mine brought me to this hidden gem of a grocery store about six months ago and the experience has completely changed the way I eat and shop. Their selection of vegetables, mushrooms, dried noodles and spices left me feeling like a kid in a candy store. I've been a vegetarian for a little over a year now. Before my friend took me here I'll admit, it was getting hard to eat the same things over and over. This beautiful store opened up a brand new menu for me with all of their amazing options that you can't get at Walmart, or any other grocery store I've ever been to. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was how well put together the store is. I had no idea what I was looking for but managed to find everything I could have wanted due to its organization. Not only do I recommend this store but I sincerely advocate everyone to patronize this facility at least once. It truly has something for everyone, be it fruits and vegetables for the vegetarians or fresh seafood and meats for you carnivores out there. This supermarket is almost a one stop shop! I find it economical to eat hot pot now and then, which is to have a boiling pot and you cook raw meats, vegetables, and noodles in it. Good fortune provides me everything I need - they even have pre made hot pot pork, beef, and chicken! Then I get my high quality vegetables, mushrooms, and fruit, then voila! That's my low budget meal that lasts me 3 hot pot sessions. Besides hot pot materials, some highlights include Asian medicine difficult to find elsewhere, high quality milk tea powder, and endless variety of sauces for various cuisine. It's a convenient Asian market for neighborhood but do not go to check out at number 6, cause when you didn't insert you card at the right timing, they gonna complain to you that " you didn't read the note?" With really bad attitude. What's wrong with me didn't read the notes? Why can't the person have a better attitude towards to customers? Customer service needs improvement! I had an issue with being charged twice for my purchase. I used Apple Pay and brought it to the clerks attention. He assured me that when they reconciled, I would only have one charge. NOT THE CASE. When I got my statement I was charged twice. I went to the store and the clerk remembered me and the incident. I'm really glad I came across this market while visiting its neighbor, 85°C Bakery. The market is clean, doesn't have an overwhelming smell like most Asian markets, reasonably priced, and carries a solid selection of goods from the various Asian countries. Customer service is also good (especially if you speak mandarin). Even though I don't live around here, it's a great addition to the area. What a selection of produce! I have never seen a honey crisp apple that large. The meat and fish markets have wholesale level prices. I suspect most of the restaurants in this shopping center get their ingredients from here. I was disappointed that they didn't have canned butter. I'm used to finding it at Asian markets. That said, they had everything else I wanted and more. Black chickens are only $12 dollars and if you like frogs legs, they are fresh here. I will go back again. Anything and everything anyone could want in fresh, canned, and dry Asian foods!! Live lobster, crabs? Oysters, and other shellfish.

I looooove the fresh produce selection here. There's a large variety and it's good quality and a good price. I usually make my way out to H-Mart for produce, but this market is a lot closer to me. The selection is different because it's mostly Chinese and H-Mart is Korean, but the fruits I like to get are at both stores. Their pear selection is really good. There's also a large selection of snacks and bottled drinks. Found some red dates with walnuts stuffed inside in the packaged snack area that ended up being really yummy. The brand Wei-chaun for jasmine tea is also very good and only $1.29 a box! I like to steep it at room temperature (like a cold brewed coffee) and sip on it while I work. They also have my favorite Japanese cotton pads for face and miscellaneous use. They come in a pink box and have three layers per pad. Very soft but durable. In the past I've had to drive to Plano to Shop Minoya or Mitsuwa to get them. Today there was an independent vendor inside selling Chinese style dessert filled pancakes. I got a cream and a taro. The taro wasn't that overly sweet paste you get in the buns from 85C, but was slightly sweet and starchy. Very, very good! The cream was more of a slightly sweet egg custard. He was also selling steamed bread. I haven't seen him on weekdays so I think it may be a weekend special. I look forward to going back on a weekend and hope to buy more from him again! read more
