A hidden gem in Z-Tao Market -- authentic Northern Chinese comfort food made with heart…read more My mom and I stumbled across this cozy dining hall tucked inside Z-Tao Market, and I can't stop thinking about the experience. It's run by an incredibly sweet elderly couple--especially the grandpa, who is unmistakably from northeastern China. His cooking? Absolutely phenomenal. You can tell it comes from years of experience and deep-rooted tradition. We tried the handmade buns and scallion mandarin rolls 花卷, and both were unreal. Fluffy, flavorful, and so authentic--exactly the kind of food that brings back childhood memories or feels like home, even if you didn't grow up in China. They also offer Mahua (fried dough twists) and a wide variety of other traditional northern Chinese dishes, all displayed beautifully and made with care. What makes this place even more special is the warmth of the owners. They were so kind, and you could tell how much pride they take in their craft. It's rare to find food made this way anymore--these are the old-school flavors that are slowly disappearing. Prices are very affordable, and the quality is unmatched. If you're in the Plano or North Dallas area, I genuinely urge you to visit, support this small business, and taste the kind of cooking that truly deserves to be preserved. In a time when it's tough for small immigrant-run businesses, especially with rising global tensions, showing up and supporting them means everything. And trust me--it's more than worth it. Whether you're a diehard fan of northern Chinese 东北饭 food or just a lover of real, soulful cooking--this spot is a must-visit.

One of the greatest reasons why I love living in Dallas, Texas .. is the culture. We have…read moresupermarket stores that are so authentic that you feel like you are visiting another continent. My pictures show resources very different from our traditional grocery store. They have a wide variety of unique fruit, protein, and products. I spent nearly 2 hours looking and wished I knew how to buy and cook any of it. If you live in the area or are visiting Texas, I highly recommend that you visit and enjoy Asian style foods, treats, products, cookware, etc. TIP: Most of the protein they offer is alive. Its also noteworthy to mention that they have a tiny cafe tucked in the back serving up generous portions of soup dumplings and a variety of hot pot soups -- very cheap. Everything is made in house yum!

Upon checkout his whole demeanor including slamming the items & sighing out loud like customers were an inconvenience. Never apologized, he even let out a big sigh when I asked if he could scan the rewards card I had & even dropped it in the process. He said he worked 11hrs. ok, then next time don't work 11hrs if you can't handle the demands of your job. Your customers keep the business running so maybe check your code of ethics & work on your attitude. This is unacceptable & I hope management will address this issue & other customers dont experience this level of disrespect, ever when coming to this store.
