She appeared uncomfortable touching it, possibly because she is vegetarian, and tried awkwardly grabbing it using a plastic bag. She then refused to scan it until the very end and eventually called another cashier from a different counter to handle it for her -- all while I and several customers behind me were waiting. The other cashier who helped her looked at her in disbelief. If handling store products is a problem, this role may not be appropriate, especially when gloves are already being worn. This behavior was unprofessional and unnecessarily delayed everyone in line.
