This is specifically not allowed for health reasons apparently and second too dangerous for my dog. Tried to explain that is a violation of the ADA but he wouldn't hear of it. I said I would no longer come there and report him. Well the DOJ is responsible to enforce the ADA and can fine the store up to $75,000 for first offense but they claim while my complaint is valid they will take no action. The Teso Life on 820 in Haltom City appears to refuse to hire Caucasian applicants. A friend group…read moreapplied together, and only the Hispanic applicants were hired, despite the Caucasian applicants having prior retail experience. The only Caucasian employee they saw was from another store helping with the new location before its grand opening next week. The hiring manager, Israel, was responsible for the hiring decisions. He did not show up for some of the scheduled interviews, requiring those applicants to reschedule. During the interview process, he had applicants complete a paper application and then said, "We can continue the interview if you want." Considering they were already there for an interview, that statement made little sense. When applicants asked about the status of the other candidates, their questions were ignored. The store was still hiring, yet the Caucasian applicants were passed over while the Hispanic applicants were hired. Based on this group's experience, it raises serious concerns that race may have been a factor in the hiring process. If that is the case, it is unacceptable. Hiring decisions should be based on qualifications and experience, not the color of someone's skin.
