Nice big store well stocked. My only issue is the check is never correct. For some reason marked down or sale items are labeled on shelves but not in computer. So every item needs to be checked and who really remembers the sale prices. Last visit I was over charged over $10.00 total from 4 items, it adds up. The hours listed state this Kroger closes at 1 am. We needed toilet paper so we drove here around 12 am thinking we had one hour to pick up toilet paper. We got there and it was closed. The hours on the door said it opens at 6 am and closes at 11 pm. Don't trust the hours on yelp but always call before going. This happened when looking for another place and the hours were wrong. December 24 store hours to close at 8pm. Employees were blocking the door at 7:30pm preventing customers from entering and on loudspeaker telling customers if they don't immediately come to register, they will be locked inside. This is poor customer service and shows that the company mentality is just give me your money but we don't want your business not to mention it shows a complete lack of Christmas spirit. Great store but check out gets only three stars. Self Checkout has too many prompts. The prompts are not loud enough to hear what they are saying. I had another customer help me after trying 3 times to run my CC because employees were partying too much and you could not hear anything. It's one thing to have a good time at work but you are in business for the customer. Please don't worry about me cause I will happily go somewhere else. Please stop all of the advertising and different questions from the computer check. I am not there to hear anything about the price of tea in China. read more

This is my go-to grocery store, so it pains me to provide an average review, but the best things here are the coupons combined with the customer rewards program. Ordering online with parking lot pick-up is by-far the best shopping option here; they actually have that process down to a science. Shop in-store and you will end up battling other shopping carts in the narrow aisles, trying to find out-of-stock items, and eventually checking and bagging your own groceries in self-checkout. The store's produce quality and overall selection have declined, and employees are generally understaffed, unhappy, and unhelpful--though there are rare exceptions. I prefer Tom Thumb on Custer for cleanliness, selection, and quality of produce, but they are noticeably more expensive (and further from me), so I continue to shop at Kroger. Definitely lots of room for improvement though. read more

The pharmacy staff in this establishment is amazingly helpful. Specifically, Cameron, is one always helpful and thorough in checking the prescriptions I frequently go fill at this great facility. Poor customer service. I was doing instacart and my payment card declined several times. This was the first time my Instacart card declined ever and I did not understand what was going on. I thought the checkout wasn't working so I asked for help. The guy rolled his eyes at me and scanned his card. Then I tried paying for it again but it failed. I needed to ask for help again because I didn't understand what was going on. He then started getting frustrated with me and asked me what was going on. I said that I didn't know and he checked and he told me that my card balance was past its limit. Again, it's an Instacart card so if that was the case, I'd have to call for Instacart Support. I explained that I'd like to try another self-checkout first because this has never happened to me before. He said that "it was gonna be the same" in a very rude way. I placed a Pickup order at the Kroger on Shiloh in Garland. My order was for $39.53 with digital coupons. I received a confirmation for the order showing a Total of $39.53 then less the digital coupons of $13.56 leaving a Total of $26.63. The confirmation showed a $0.00 charge for the pickup. When I picked the order up I was charged the $4.95 pickup fee. I returned to the store requesting a refund for the $4.95 charge. The girl that claimed she was over that department refused the refund. She would not stop talking long enough to listen to my reasoning for the request. When they sent the confirmation it listed NO CHARGE for the pickup and it showed the final amount of the purchase was $26.63. The store manager finally agreed and refunded the $4.95. It's not the amount as much as the principle of how they do business. The girl that claimed she was the supervisor should not be in any position to deal with customers. I also had filled out the Custome Service Survey that Kroger had sent me. I explained the issue (before I returned to the store) It asked if I wanted to be contacted by someone about the issue, I marked YES by EMAIL I did and have not received any contact from anyone at Kroger. Even though the company was aware my Total after Coupons was under the $35.00 charge for pickup they still confirmed NO PICKUP CHARGE in the confirmation. They should have people in a position to handle customer complaints that understand how to shut up and listen. Other than arguing and only talk over the customer. read more

Today I got the worst treatment ever!!! I placed an order for pick up and normally I don't have any issues but STANLEY decided to be a complete a**!!! I pulled up and checked in on the app... it took about 7 minutes for someone to come out with my groceries, which was fine because I figured that maybe they were busy. Stanley comes out with my groceries and tries to accept my payment through the handheld device and it said "wrong pin". I told him the pin (which seems to be a privacy violation) and he rudely says "are u sure that's the pin?" I said yes and asked if he could try again. He began to do a lot of deep sighing as if I was the problem, but I still sat there patiently waiting for him to figure it out. He still couldn't get it to work, so I gave him another card to use and he STILL could not get the handheld device to work so he asked if he could take inside and I said yes. Well magically he was able to get my card to work with the same pin that I gave him and then he came back to the car. He asked where would I like the groceries to be placed and I simply said (without an attitude) wherever there's space is fine. We have an SUV that had my teenager, a car seat, a large stroller, etc in the car so I was like anywhere that's convenient and Stanley started throwing my groceries in the car. This man slammed everything in the car and the proceeded to slam my 24 pack waters ON TOP OF MY GROCERIES. I asked if he could put them in the front and he proceeded to throw them down in the front and I had a few grocery bags remaining and he threw them in the car so hard that one of the bags ripped and some of my groceries fell out in the parking lot. Stanley picked them up and tossed them in the car, no new bag... just on the floorboard of my car. I also noticed that it looked like he hid his badge once he came out after my payment cleared... BUT I SAW YOUR NAME WHEN YOU FIRST WALKED UP TO MY CAR STANLEY!!! I am not sure if he was having a bad day, but it wasn't my fault. It was not my fault that the Kroger device was giving u issues, and whatever went wrong with the pin was not my fault. Here I am with an injured foot thinking that this was the best option since it's hard for me to walk and then here comes STANLEY! Even through your unprofessionalism and rudeness I still remained calm and did not get an attitude. At this point all I can say is that I pray u get the same treatment that u have given. read more

This Kroger has delivered one of my best pooping experiences of 2019. Very clean stalls. Great music in the background. The music volume provides just enough buffer that you don't have to hear the dude next to you draining his bowels. Nice scented freshener and hand soap. There is also this cool lil chair you can strap your lil hellion in so you can poop in peace(See pic). Love it! They had Dyson airblades, and a changing area( in the men's room ) My only knock was the low grade TP, but it was not worth removing a star. They also had a great clipboard confirming regular cleaning, and they were up to date and on schedule. Keep it up my neighborhood Kroger! Y'all should be the benchmark for all other Kroger restrooms. This Kroger is the most irresponsible grocery store ever!!! We are in the most highest Covid surge and today 1/1/21 they had several aisles crowded with huge bins and people could not get around them It's very frustrating when you can't get around with literally 2 feet able to get around customers and employees. That's only one issue experienced today! My husband went through self service and noticed the person standing who is supposed to be helping just standing there not doing anything (especially cleaning the area). My husband asked him "don't you clean the check out area anymore " he's response " oh no we don't do that anymore". We are absolutely done with this store! Target, Tom Thumb and even Walmart is still following protocol! In the beginning of Pandemic , similar things were happening but you would think they would have worked out the kinks. The state has mandated wearing masks. Stores are to be fined $500 for not enforcing. At this Kroger, no one is posted at the door to check customers. I saw 4 different families not wearing masks. Raised the issue with employees. Our newborn was sick for a few days and the doctor recommended some drops to help his tummy feel better. Well after we bought it he was better and didn't use it. fast forward a month and he has an ear infection and the antibiotics he's on can cause stomach issues, Dr said to definitely use these drops once a day for 10 days. went to open the package and noticed they where 3 years expired. Went to the store for a simple swap and the store manager basicly told me tough luck. I even went to the isle and found 3 more expired right in the front. he claimed that he didn't see me pull them off the shelf. like they just magically appeared. I am a long time Kroger customer and advocate. I have shopped at this location in Garland (Shilo & Campbell) for over a decade and as a bonafide foodie, I have always been pleased with the selection and prices. I considered it my mini-Central Market. Today is 6/24/2020 and Dallas county is currently surging with covid-19. The county is now requiring all stores of all types to enforce facemask usage for all customers and staff. The order has been in place for 3 or 4 days now. I went to Kroger yesterday and was appalled to see several customers shopping with no facemask on. As I was moving through the aisles near the front I noticed an employee checking out a customer with no facemask on. The floor manager was nearby, so i went over and asked him why they were they were not enforcing the facemask requirement law. He informed me that there was nothing he could do. I suggested that they refuse service for people violating the order. He responded that they (presumably the employees) are not allowed to refuse service. Goodbye Kroger. Since you are not interested in keeping your customers safe or following local laws, I'm forced to find another grocer who does. It was nice while it lasted and I guarantee you will miss my business. I'm the type of customer grocers long for. And good luck because even Walmart is doing a much better job keeping their customers safe. read more

This is really my go to store. It has been for the past 15 years. So it was a complete surprise when an employee in the produce dept started yelling at me in front of other customers because he had to work Thanksgiving Day. I simply asked the man how's your day and I smiled and he just started about how it was because of customers like me, he had to work the holiday. Then he continued to rant. I walked away and went to the service desk to ask for a manager because this was too much. I spoke with an assistant manager and I gave him my number to give to the manager. She called me once and I wasn't able to take the call. Never called me back. I emailed the company twice. I heard from a customer service person that basically just said they were sorry and whatever. I don't feel they did anything and the lack of communication and concern for this problem has caused me to find another store. I am done with this Kroger. read more

I believe this store, specifically the pharmacy, is poorly managed. Any time of day, the pharmacy is UNDER STAFFED! A phone call is immediately put on hold, like it or not. Their outgoing message says vaccination walk-ins are welcome, but your customers walk in and wait and wait, up to 30 minutes, watching the sparse pharmacy staff run their butts off! Pros: -overall selection and prices are pretty good/reasonable -They have really been working to improve their assortment of organic foods/produce and they have a designated section of more healthy/whole foods. - Good rewards programs, lots of coupons and ways to get discounts Cons: -Busy, parking lot is ALWAYS crowded -Bagging can be hit or miss, sometimes they are so slowwwww or they put together items that clearly should not go together, like putting a loaf of bread with a heavy jug of milk, or putting the eggs at the bottom of a bag of heavy items, I usually prefer to just bag myself -Normally do not have enough cashiers, like come on, you're a grocery store, you always have customers and they always have a ton of items. please put just one or two more people at the checkout, I normally don't mind waiting in lines at stores but it can take forever at a grocery store because people are normally buying cartfuls of stuff read more

This is a great Kroger. It is remodeled, and always has a good selection. The organic produce section is really good as well as the healthy foods area. It is pretty busy on the weekends, but all Krogers are. All that really matters is that it is clean and it has good service. read more

Compared to the other grocery stores in the area, this Kroger is the best. They've got a few kids carts, a few car carts, and then the mini and regular carts too. A small sushi area up front, and you go straight into the bakery and prepped foods area from there. There are quite a few organic options and I like being able to run in and out quickly. Been coming to this Kroger for quite some time now. Their sushi is the best of most of the store bought brands. I don't like the kind that uses the rice that is brown and is like a rice paste, instead of the correct sticky rice texture. So I went in today and found that they have sushi chefs on duty there and they're making specialty rolls now. Caterpillar, shaggy dog, dragon, etc. It was extremely surprising. I was actually walking in while one of the sushi chefs was walking in and I thought to myself, "that's strange, a chef is going to the grocery store," and as I walked in and directed myself toward the sushi, the chef went the same way and inside was another person dressed the same cutting sushi! She called the company to see if they could do a rush job because I told her I would wait around for them and they did. Had them paid and hung up in the car within 30 minutes. If you are looking for a place for all of your grocery needs, look no further. Excellent stock, great prices. However that is not all that is required to truly provide an excellent customer service experience. I have lived in the neighborhood 2 weeks, and this is literally around the corner from my home. Try spending $250 on groceries and over 2 hours in the store. You pay and you're ready to leave. You can imagine what 2 baskets full of groceries looks like. (I only have one, but in bags, the amount expands.) Imagine carrying that out ALONE. Not one employee offered assistance. Not from the girl who bagged my groceries, the cashier, or the guys corralling carts outside. Yes, you will find everything you need at this Kroger. And because of its proximity, I will continue going, and hope this was an exception to the norm, because I was truly disappointed about this experience. read more
