Where I don't believe this Kroger store deserves 4 stars, but I was so impressed with Jose from the meat department. Today, December 10th, 2024, I called to check on a particular product. Jose answered the phone with a great attitude, he even when to go check the freezer case to make sure the item was available. It was such a joy to have interaction with a positive employee, since this store is known for rudeness. Later this afternoon I made my drive to Kroger to purchase my groceries. I spoke to Jose in person, and told him he made my day. What was another disappointment, was I waited 15 minutes to speak with the manager, but he never came to the front of the store. You see, I wished to give an employee compliment on Jose. Thanks Jose for being excellent! read more

This is not my normal Kroger Store, but I was in a different area tonight so decided to stop in. I don't think this store is as large as the one I normally go to. But it had everything I needed! I was here on a busy Sunday evening and was impressed at how orderlyband stocked the there was at the time. The employees were on their game and in a great spirit and very helpful. I came for just a fee things and was in and out pretty quickly. This is from my one experience here alone. The nice lady manning the flower shop was friendly and helpful. The parking lot seemed a bit shady though but all in all I did not have a bad experience here. At self-checkout, there was an old lady that just finished checking out and I guess started walking away. The staff supervising that area darted quickly at her and reminded her bluntly to remember to get her receipt muttering something about "so you don't complain later" or something in that vein. While I applaud the thought, I don't know if the method of delivery was necessary. It is what it is. read more

Always well stocked. Friendly people working in the store always ready to engage . They even have beef bacon, which is a rare find in Dallas. There has never been a day where I caught them off guard the store is always clean, and very clear and organized read more

This is a nice neighborhood, some homes starting at $500,000, unfortunately, our options for groceries is only Kroger. They need to close it down, renovate and reopen. This is my local Kroger and it's been good to us. I do see fruit flies occasionally in the produce area so it's not my favorite place to buy fruit from, but they are typically on point with everything else. The workers have always been kind to me and I like that they seem to hire people with obvious disabilities, but they do their job well. read more

For the first time this check out manager was rude to me when I simply asked about a new policy change when we get card privilege only I count per visit instead of buying more than one. My wife and I were there on Sat. Same hateful woman on the far self-checkout lane (closest to the pharmacy). As we approached to self-checkout lane, it was totally empty. Great, I thought, we'll get through quickly. Absolutely hateful she was (the attendant). The nice young man at the self check lane near the door had people backed-up waiting. The lane we chose was totally empty. Of course we all know why. Kroger wont do anything about it...well, Im sure you can guess why. OK. I was not going to leave a review because I thought maybe it was just a bad day. After reading some of these reviews, I totally agree this place this location is the worst Kroger ever. Employees somewhere nice, one had a mouth on her that Should not be helping customers. Proto should always be fresh!!!!!! The employees are great however just don't go between 9A-12P because they don't have enough staff to man the self checkout with loooong lines and only 1 register open. Even the second set of self checkouts are not even open. Ended up having to leave my items as 20 mins had already passed. read more

First of all, as a store, Kroger pricing, to me, seems to be higher than other stores, usually. They do have their own brand of alkaline water, which is competitively priced, which I like. They have gluten free and vegan items that I like and their staff is usually helpful. This location has been going through a remodel, which was confusing, at first, because stuff wasn't clearly labeled and I already don't go in there regularly enough know where stuff is. I favorite part of going in there is recognizing team members that have been working there for years. I am not good with names, but there are 3 or 4 faces that I always see and I am glad to see that they enjoy their work. read more

This Kroger is going straight downhill. I'm shocked how dirty this store is. Products are randomly placed on the shelf's. Employees are just "working" and really not into their jobs. I will not ever go back. I'd rather drive across town than to shop at this store. I definitely try to avoid this Kroger location unless I want to get some sushi which is probably the cleanest and best thing in the whole store. The carts are not being kept clean, but if they are I have never seen anyone wiping them down regularly. The shopping carts are old, rusted inside and the wheels are constantly squeaking or making a lot of noise. I have to test 3-4 carts just to find one that isn't noisy. So, if you like shopping with a cart that goes clunk, clunk, clunk then you will enjoy this mess of a store. Kroger is almost always out of disinfecting wipes for customers, their are no markers for social distancing and overall the store is pretty messy, not to mention outside the store and the parking lots which are really bad looking. read more

Nichole at the customer service counter has the absolute worst, nastiest attitude. I called ahead to make sure I could get a return for a single bag of odd tasting frozen blueberries, without a receipt, just wanting store credit; the girl that answered the phone said yes. So, I drive up there and Nichole says she actually needs a receipt. By the way, this is after Nichole and another worker make me wait for 10 minutes while they mark off some kind of work checklist, which Nichole is doing painfully slowly. Asking her co worker how to spell "avocado" etc. Just being slow, and difficult on purpose! When a customer is waiting for service, you should pause what you're doing, and take care of the waiting customer. That's just super basic customer service. She then scribbles down a 1-800 number to call for me to request the receipt I suddenly need for the $10 store credit. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Sprouts, WOULD NEVER treat people like this. I absolute detest big grocery store chains like Kroger and these ghetto, miserable workers are a big reason why. Thank you Nichole, for giving me the best reason to never step foot into a Kroger again. By the way, I went to dinner a couple miles away, spotted a Kroger and they processed my return in about 30 seconds at this other location which just proves that NICHOLE was wrong, rude, and unprofessional. I went in last night to pick up some avocados, Chicken breast, vitamins for my dog. Construction is being done on the inside right now I believe they're expanding a revamping everything is set up so I mean you're gonna you're not gonna see stuff in the place that you normally do but they did a pretty decent job of setting up. I also saved a little over $57 due to the fact that my lara bars were 10 for a dollar and the Vitamins and supplements were buy 1 get 1 free on What I believe all brands . read more

I called Kroger at (972) 437-2233 and asked to speak to a manager. I wanted to report what I recently saw. This location used to be my "Go To" store pre-COVID. Post COVID, this store can't keep staff, can't keep the shelves filled, and can't hire someone who cares one bit about how they handle your food. While shopping a few days ago from posting this, I observed the shopper who fills orders when you pick up from the store instead of walking the isles like I was. She looked like it was the last place she wanted to be in. She just tossed the merchandise into the bins without a care of bruising the produce or spillage or what else it might land on. I had a lotter ticket to cash in and my vehicle tag to fulfill. I get to the customer service desk and there is a sign that says desk only open 3-4 hours a day. When I spoke with a male who said he was the manager, he essentially told me I had a choice of where I could shop. Essentially telling me to go away. Kroger does not need my business. read more

It's also right behind a liquor store and it's gets extremely crowded and hard to leave sometimes. Had a horrific pickup experience at this Kroger. Upon arriving home after picking up my order, I found that I was missing at least 20-30 items. In addition, the bag holding the bread was placed in my trunk at the bottom of the pile of groceries, so it was completely smashed. What a waste! When I called to ask what happened, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, transferred by the attendant, then the phone rang again as if I had just called the store. She seemed surprised when she answered the phone, again asked me for my name, then realized that I was still waiting on the line after she put me on hold. When I asked what happened with my pickup order, the solution I was provided by the attendant (I got the distinct impression that she could not have cared any less about my order) was "I still have your items here" as if I were the one who messed up by not bringing them out, then she said "you need to come back and pick them up." What should have been a quick 20-minute grocery run became a 1.5 hour headache with multiple trips. Your money is better spent at another location, or, better yet, another grocery chain. read more

I don't understand how this Kroger stays in business. It is very very expensive compared to other grocers in the area - even other Kroger locations. The produce is mediocre to poor quality, the organization and layout of the store is hard to follow and the checkout is always a headache. Save time and more so your money and head down the street to Fiesta, Target's Supermarket, or slightly further and you could go to Sprouts. read more

This kroger is the closest grocery store to me. I love that it has a fuel station and I can get great discounts on my gas. The store also has great hours were it is open very early. Now when it comes to the inside of the store I am a bit disappointed. They seem to always be out of staple items like eggs. They also do not have the variety of food other Krogers have. read more

Although this Kroger is a lot smaller than the one I usually shop at - it has now become my staple if I need to grab some food items since it is right around the corner from me. The produce and flowers always look fresh (although, I do wish the avocados were not always so SOFT!!!) On this particular visit I stopped at the deli for some cheese - again being smaller than the store I'm used to it took me a minute to locate the cheese I was looking for in the counter case. The deli employee was very pleasant - even though he was helping someone, he acknowledged that he would be with me shortly. He also offers you a slice of whatever you are purchasing (cheese or meat) to sample while you wait for him to slice your selection to your liking. Also stopped at the seafood counter - cuts of meat/seafood looked fresh. The employee who helped me there was also helpful in pointing out a better value I could get on one cut of fish versus two filets. We engaged in conversation about some other types of fish I have not tried and some preparation methods - but I talk to EVERYONE so we had a pretty friendly interaction. Overall this location serves just fine for me running in to pick up regular grocery items. I thought the aisles looked neat and in order. To note - there are some random times I have been in on weekends when the customer service line has been super long - but during the week I have not see it out of control. read more

Disappointed, this location isn't takiNg any precautions with the carts...there is no cleaning going on after carts are used.

Used the self check out and an item didn't ring up correctly. Hit the attendant notification and Kathleen came over and removed the item then rang it again. It still came up wring so she says it must be that price then. I explain it wasn't. She says I have to go over and look in a minute. She said another customer was trying to steal so she was watching her. After quite a while she goes to look and says it has to be on a digital coupon, you have to download it. I download it and it still rings wrong. She says, I don't know what to tell you except go to customer service. I'd been there quite a while and wasn't going over to wait in another line. I have been to other Kroger stores and they have entered the correct price at the register. Kathleen says she can't. I think she just didn't want to. She was sour this whole time. Some guy named Gilbert came over. I guess he's a manager and I start to tell him and he won't listen. Bad store, sullen employees and poor management. Two weeks ago my daughter was sick late at night. After we found out that Kroger was open for another 20 minutes, she left immediately. She walked up to the door 10 minutes before the closing time. The doors were locked and out of desperation my wife started knocking on the doors to get the employee's attention. After five minutes of knocking, a security officer came to talk to my wife. The security officer attempted to turn my wife away, but after convincing, the security officer rudely/reluctantly allowed my wife to enter. All we needed was Children's Pepto-Bismol. For all you parents out there, you can understand how frustrating this experience was to have someone not want to allow you into a store that was supposed to be open for another 10 minutes per posted/online times. After this experience, unless for an emergency like this medicine one, we will not frequent this establishment again. read more

I was in and out of this Kroger so fast I could have been considered a fierce competitor to join the Olympic running team. I have never seen a store dirtier, (both the inside and outside were disgusting) scarier, (really interesting characters walking around) and just over all empty of the essential items. I would rather drive to Super Target (so much farther away) to feel safer than walking here. I will say the location of this store is great. Please tear this place down and convert it into a Target, or Whole Foods, or Central Market, or even a Tom Thumb. This place is scary and it sucks. read more

I am deeply conflicted about this store. This is my neighborhood store so I spend most of my food $$$ here, but I don't like it. ===The Good=== As with all Kroger stores, you can feed your family economically if you leverage the store brands and sales with your reward card thingy. The store is laid out ok for a smallish store. The butcher section is small but staffed by helpful people. ===The Bad=== The deli section is small and generally not staffed by helpful people. I give up about 60% of the time. Exiting the parking lot is an ordeal. The only way you can leave easily is to go south on Audelia. The remaining staff is uninterested at best, and obstructive at worst. It is common to see no carts in the store and young employees out in the parking lot shouting, dancing, playing grab-ass and mock-fighting instead of gathering carts. This is a failure of management and of the workers' upbringing. I fear for the future of the workplace in America. The checkout situation is consistently jacked up. Thank the gods that there are 4 selfcheck stations because it's the only way anyone can pay for their food. One day the selfcheck was out of order so I went through a cashier's line. Prepare yourself. This is what it's like: Cashier: "What those?" Me, holding up brussell sprouts: "Brussel sprouts". Cashier: "WHAT those?" Me: "brussel sprouts" Cashier: "they WHAT sprouts?" Me: "brussel sprouts. B-r-u-s...." Cashier: Hey, [co-worker], you ever had BRUSSEL sprouts? [we eventually figure out how to identify and key in brussel sprouts] Cashier: "They taste good?" Me: "yeah, [boggling], like steamed, maybe broiled" Cashier: "I ain't NEVER SEEN no BRUSSEL sprouts". etc. Understand there is a line behind me as the normal selfcheckout was dead. And here we are, trying, unsuccessfully, to pay for produce. Kill me, please. Trying desperately to get to my happy place, I wondered how in the world someone can be a cashier in a grocery store and never have seen a brussel sprout. Comparing a store to south oakcliff? Well ok... Don't know what that means.. But... Although it may not be the best Kroger in north Dallas it is far better in comparison to having none.. The issue I have with Kroger is some stores will stock an item then another won't.. Such as the case with this location. The selections are minimal most often where necessary and the self check out lines can be somewhat of a hassle Also the young staff and management should be given some training on customer service skills as I don't think carrying on social casual conversations out loud about their personal lives is proper workplace banter as they perform their work duties. So if you are unable to travel to say the Kroger on Coit or Plano Rd and Walmart isn't your cup of tea, then this store will suffice for the bare necessities as I still continue to frequent this location for that reason weekly myself read more
