    Pork chop noodle
    Jinyoung P.

I finally made it here! My husband and I tried to eat here a while back but we arrived too late and it was so close to closing time that we ended up eating elsewhere, and since then King's Noodle has been on my radar but we had not committed to the drive from our place in Carrollton until today. After carefully studying the menu, I went with the Three Delight Dry Beef Noodle and M went with Pork Chop Noodle. We had no idea what to expect for the noodle portion of the Pork Chop Noodle but we were really excited to try the pork chop so we went with it. Other reviewers are correct that it takes a while to get the food. We patiently waited for our number as the number increased slowly. Finally, our number was called. To our pleasant surprise, the Pork Chop Noodle came with a noodle soup in addition to the fried pork chop. The noodle soup was ok. The broth was pretty simple and a tad bland (easy to doctor up), but a nice companion to the pork chop. The pork chop was my single favorite item of the meal. Really great flavor and so crispy! Lastly, my dry noodle. The beef was so tender and the tendons so melt-in-your-mouth silky. The tripe? (I think that's what the meat was on the bottom of the photo) was just ok and normally I love tripe. The overall flavor was pretty good, although I thought it was made superior by adding some chili oil and soy sauce. It was also a LOT of noodles. Omg let's talk about the noodles. The noodles that were in my dry beef noodle were so good. Think and chewy in the best way. Keep in mind that the noodle soup that came in the pork chop noodle was a different, thinner kind. I have to come back and try the beef stew noodle soup because I think that comes with this same thicker noodle. Ambiance was ok and sometimes it was tricky to navigate around all the tables, but unlike what another reviewer said, the chili oil was available in a little condiment station. I did have to ask specifically for the pickles, however. Overall, a positive experience and I can't wait to go back!

A small family-owned business located in a little plaza in Richardson. There is street parking in the front of the restaurant, as well as a shared parking lot in the back. There are several tables inside the restaurant. Mostly small tables, but you can easily push them together if you have a larger group and want to be seated closer together. Once you get inside, you go to the front to place your order and pay, before taking a seat. When your order is ready, they will call for your order number. For our order, they called the number and also brought out the second dish we ordered a little later. We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Tofu and Seaweed Noodle, and Chicken Thigh Rice Plate (not sure what it was called, but it was served on a simmering hot plate). I enjoyed the warm broth from the Beef Noodle Soup. The noodles were soft and chewy. The beef was tender, didn't require a lot of chewing to break it apart. The Tofu and Seaweed Noodle was a cold side dish that complimented the hot entrees we had. It isn't really a noodle dish, it's just tofu and seaweed sliced up to look like noodles. The Chicken Thigh dish was good. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Family owned business that satisfied my craving for some comfort noodles! We ordered the za jiang main and three delight beef dry noodle. Great flavor and bouncy noodle texture. Highly recommend!

I haven't been back here in years mainly due to the fact they used to only accept cash and I don't usually carry any. Decided to stop by recently because I was craving a bowl of noodle soup and was pleasantly surprised to find they accept card payments now! You order and pay at the counter, pick a table and then pick up your order when it's ready. There were only 3 other tables there on a Monday night. We just went with their signature beef noodle with soup and a dry version of the beef noodles. Our order came out fresh and quick. The flavors were good, they give you a ton of noodles and also a good portion of meat. We left satisfied and very full!

As wonderful as usual! Love the noodles here. Always super solid Taiwanese comfort food, great vegetable dishes too!

Craved something Asian-y, noodle-y and soupy... Yelp found us this tiny local gem run by some lovely people. I had the shrimp and pork wonton noodle soup & steamed lettuce. Other family members had the beef noodle soup. Everything was made to order and delicious. We polished off everything, not a speck of food was left. Halfway through the meal, they brought out two more wontons for me. I didn't realize I was short anything (my bowl was huge!) and appreciated the gesture. Lovely first experience.

I found this place randomly on Google search while trying to find a halfway meeting point for some friends and I was craving some Taiwanese beef noodles. We were so pleasantly surprised with the food - so delicious and authentic! This place is definitely a mom and Pop shop with kids helping out to run the store so don't expect stellar service. You order at the counter and they give you a number, and pick it up when they call you. We did have a large party and they did not let us rearrange any tables which I thought was a little bit strange, but we were ultimately able to crowd about 10 of us around their one round table at the restaurant. I would not recommend this place for large groups. The beef noodle soup was very flavorful, and the noodles were the perfect amount of chew. The beef was tender, and portions were generous l. The fried pork chop was flavorful and crispy, without being dry. Our friends who got drinks really enjoyed the milk tea and wintermelon tea I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving some authentic Taiwanese food or would like to try something new and don't mind the hole in the wall vibes.

I'm so glad this small business is still running. Over two years since back. They have now expanded their menu, credit cards are accepted, and, the prices have nearly doubled. All understandable. No where else can I find KN's fantastic "Steamed Chinese Lettuce, A-Choy". A bit dry yet tasty was my "Fried Pork Chop" last night. As for my sweet tooth, ecstatic I was with their "Taiwanese Shaved Ice". CHEERS!

Casual homey place, you order at the front and they call your number to pick up. We got the wonton beef soup, it was good for a cold rainy day. I wish they had condiments at the table so you can season the food to your liking.

A great place to sit down for a classic Taiwanese meal! They have a lot of variety on their menu, which I appreciate, and everything seemed like a good option. I got the pork rice noodle soup, and it was great, but a little oily. I still enjoyed it. The portions are not stingy either.

Honestly my family has been going here since I was a kid but recently they have definitely upped their game. Plating has gotten better and the place has gotten more organised. Here it's a pay at the front and wait for your food sort of deal so you don't get too much interaction with the workers. However this is a family owned place and the owners are super sweet. They remember us as regulars and always say hi. Food has always been top notch! One of my all time favorite taiwanese spots in the area. You can't really go wrong with anything on their menu but my go to is the fried beef noddles. We always get one or two of these Togo and meal prep for work lunches . I will recommend this to anyone and I wish it was closer to my house.

Been noodle soup, wanton noodle soup, homemade dumplings, fried pork chop.

I can't not give this place 5 stars. It's incredible. I've had nearly everything on the menu and it's all so flavorful and authentic I haven't found anywhere else that even compares. Don't sleep on this hidden gem. I highly recommend the fried pork chop, pickled cucumbers, and literally any soup.

Beef dry noodles with a side of pig ears.
    Ching Y.

I had the beef dry noodles and a side of pig ears. The beef noodles are unlike most other places where it's served with broth. Instead, this version just has a little broth at the bottom of the bowl, but primarily focuses on the beef and noodles. The beef was aromatic, flavorful and tender, while the noodles were springy and lightly chewy. I can't wait to come back again!

If you live in the area, it's a quality spot to get your soup dumpling fix. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the first thing I noticed was Chef Sun's was very busy (great sign). The restaurant itself wasn't very memorable, and the table we sat at was next to a drink fridge and lots of traffic. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff at Chef Sun's was great, especially for a busy Chinese restaurant. The staff proactively kept our glasses full of water and were always on hand to help. Once we placed our order, food just kept coming from the staff as each dish was brought out piping hot and fresh. 1 Star. Food - The Xa Long Bao (soup dumplings) were nice and plump, freshly cooked and super-hot. This was the best part of the meal. The traditional Chinese dishes like their noodles were all a bit oily for my taste. Thee two appetizers - fried shrimp (very safe choice) were crispy without being greasy and the red dipping sauce was more sweet than spicy. And the spicy edamame was good. Overall plenty of good, but nothing super memorable. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area and I want soup dumplings. Chef Sun's Noodle & Dumpling has some oily noodles and great dumplings. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here, but now that I know they exist, I'll stop by next time I want soup dumplings. 1/2 Star.

Prior to driving there, I call the restaurant to ask if they could accommodate me -- and they said yes. I got the chicken ramen and subbed for katsu protein, shrimp tempura, karaage and milk tea and my friend got the black garlic ramen. The karaage came out tossed in a an acidic sauce with sesame seeds -- almost like saucy wings. This caught me off guard because the menu does not indicate it would be covered in sauce -- and we didnt want it sauced. Shrimp tempura had 3 shrimps and the rest vegetables. Another surprise because the menu listed shrimp tempura as an item on its own, and then another line item for vegetable tempura. My assumption is this is a cost saving approach -- and while I have no problem with that, transparency would be good for customers. Just list out what is included in the dish so no one is surprised. The ramen was disappointing. The broth came out clear (like water -- i wouldnt dare compare it to pho because pho broth is packed with flavor). There was absolutely no flavor. It was the only ramen on the menu that I could have (again not what I was told when I called). I asked for soy sauce, chili oil and even dumped the leftover sauce from my tempura into the liquid broth and still it could not be saved. The black garlic broth was also bland. Neither of us finished the meal. Service was slow, only one girl working the entire dining room, (it was a weekend so packed). We waited for a while, they forgot my milk tea and it was impossible to flag the waitress until the very end. The only plus, they are extremely generous with the eggs.
