This place has gone down hill really fast. The quality of food is terrible and the employees are just as bad. We had to repeat our order 4 times for her to continue to get it wrong. Absolutely NO RESPECT at all, we walked into the store around 735ish and my wife orders a salad and ask for 8 dressings and explains she will pay for them all. The lady says we can only give you 5 and we said ok no worries then that's fine. Everything was okay until the cashier Alyssa goes in the back of the house we're we could still hear her and she's talking about my wife. Making comments like what's the point of ordering a salad if your going to drown it in dressing. What is she going to do drink her salad? She should eat it with no dressing. I let the comments go until she walks right past us and proceeds to talk to a lady I am assuming the manager on duty and they start talking was not even paying attention until she said that lady wanted 8 dressings, what's the point of ordering the salad then and at that point I got up and told her if your going to be talking about my wife at least have enough respect to either wait until we leave or talk so we can not hear every word you say. We explained to her my wife likes the dressing so much we take it home so she can eat it on salads at the house. I also explained to her if you are going to make rude and disrespectful comments about customers it would be smart to make sure no one can hear them because at that point might as well have the nerve to tell someone what your truly thinking. I am very disappointed with this Panera Bread. I go to order on Door dash and the only thing l truly wanted was the brocolli cheddar soup in a bread bowl. So, the Dasher arrives and explains that they didn't have any bread bowls left and l also found out my broccoli cheddar soup was completely missing from my bag! Haven't been here in around a year or so. So glad I stopped in. Portions seem bigger. Salads are more then just a bowl full of lettuce. Soups are always good...and you can sample the soups if you are having trouble deciding which one to get. The people here are supper friendly. I'm not a tea drinker but I love the tea selection here. I'm a big fan if the orange colored tea they have. They're out of it today...sad face. The food good, the place is clean and a good tea selection if you're into that. If only zero stars were possible... I ordered a very easy meal - a chicken salad sandwich - from my phone and prepaid. My boyfriend decided he wanted something too, so he rode along, planning to order his to go. We walked in and he ordered a teriyaki bowl. The woman behind the register said they were out. He asked what was on another bowl and that seemed to be a very difficult question. While he was making his order, a customer that had apparently been waiting for a while for his to go order came up to the counter to complain. I don't know if it was an asst manager or manager he was complaining to. Once we went to wait, we noticed three men in line before us who had been waiting at least 10 minutes and seemed very frustrated. While waiting in front of the pick up window, we could hear a man make a comment to the asst/mgr, "this is a fucking disaster". Unfortunately, that was pretty accurate as everyone continuing to wait was getting antsy. Somehow our orders were ready before two of the three people waiting got theirs. The asst/mgr finally told the guy who made the comment that "this is a mess". It was clear they were way in the weeds somehow having four people working to fix four to go meals. I started to feel sorry for them but then I hear one man say to the other man behind the window something about "did you see her slap that girl" and I look up and see they have their cell phones propped up in front of them watching women wrestling. Suddenly all the names that were waiting showed up as ready at once, though nothing was moving. A minute later I got my to go order and they put up food (not in to go containers) that was my boyfriend's order. When he pointed out that it wasn't packaged to go, the girl who put up the order got an attitude and kept tapping his receipt, where it said dine-in. When he explained that he had said "to go" when ordering, she repackaged it. The asst/manager called the girl from the front over in front of us and whispered to her what happened, like you would gossip with someone. We got back to our hotel only to find that my order (which was rang up on the receipt correctly) was completely wrong when assembled. No way were we going back, though. I only hope the people still waiting were able to pry the cooks' attention away from wrestling and attitudes enough to get their food. read more

Each time I have been to this Panera location I've had issues with my orders. This time is no different. I placed an order for a mango smoothie (which tasted like rotten banana), I ordered a passion papaya green tea (received unsweetened iced tea), ordered a strawberry Poppy Chicken salad (received no chicken which was very upsetting to my guess, in my salad and the lettuce was brown and mainly the middle part) same as the greek salad which I also ordered. We were given spoons for utensils instead of forks. I was excessively disgruntled about the whole interaction. I am thoroughly disappointed. I called the store phone 3 times just to be put on hold until a manager or store associate could be reached but each time the call would hang up. Don't have much to say about Panera Bread. The food is good. Tastes fresh and is very flavorful, but it's expensive. My husband and I got a half a sandwich each, a soup, and a kids grilled cheese, with drinks and our total came out to $28. If I knew how much we'd pay, I would have went to HEB and made my own soup and WHOLE sandwiches for half the cost. The food is good don't get me wrong,but I wouldn't eat here again. The Banana waS bruised badly (see imaage provided), and the breakfast was done wrong and missing items. I had to tell the staff i still need my tea and water. I am confused as to why even print off the receipt and staple to the bag for the staff to check the food if your not going to do it anyways. Unfortunately my experience ordering from this location was not the best. I was making an order for delivery for multiple people at work. First off, they were out of stock for most items. We were not able to order drinks because they were out of most drinks besides coffee. When we received our order we noticed that none of the sandwiches that were made were labeled. We had to unwrap each sandwich to figure out which was which. Everything looked like it was just slapped together and some items that were ordered were made wrong. To top it off, when I called inquiring about my order the customer service that was provided was not the best. Don't waste your money! For $46 we didn't get everything and half of it was gross. We went inside to order and the cashier was nice. We went and sat down to wait for it to go. It took close to 20 minutes to get our food. Luckily we checked and they had forgotten our muffins. Sadly we didn't check enough and when we got home they forgot one of kids meals. Then we looked at our chicken tortellini. Needless to say it was tortellini with 1 ounce of chicken. And half of the Caesar salad was brown. Oh the lovely Panera Bread. Migrating from the "great" state of Misery in search of recruiting more loyal followers to it's already enormous legion of fans. Oh lovely Panera Bread, this location has failed you. I had high hopes, I just want you to know that. I pulled my car through the drive-thru and ordered a half Tomato Mozzarella Panini sandwich. I couldn't even say the whole name before the cashier, who's name is missing from my receipt, interrupted. "Hello! Can I get a Tomato M--" "OH YOU MEAN THE TOMATO MOZZ!" (Well if you let me finish saying my order...) I ordered the Tomato Mozzarella because it is quite a simple sandwich. I make 'em all the time at home. And if a place can't get down a simple sandwich then the probability of it having anything better is slim to none. For half a sandwich and a bag of chips my total was : $5.73 A little pricey I thought, but if the sandwich lives up to it's reputation I won't mind shelling out a few extra bucks. I only waited a minute or two at the window before my meal was ready and handed to me politely. Alright here we go! I grabbed a hold of the bag with much delight as I waited at a traffic light (hey that rhymed). Opened up the bag and pulled out a box. "Wow!" I thought, "This half sandwich is pretty big!". I opened up the packaging, pulled out the sandwich and separated the panini in half to see what goodness was awaiting me. Inside my sandwich were two small and thin tomato slices side by side, each topped with a 1x1in thin slice of mozzarella. No...I am not joking. It was garnished with a little sprinkle of chopped basil and a tomato paste was spread on the top of the loaf of bread. I pretty much paid $5.73 for a 1/4 loaf of bread with miniscule food within. The bread? Was fantastic. Kudos to the baker! The panini itself? SALTY! Someone in that kitchen must have gotten a little shaker happy. I can feel my sodium level rising with each bite. And to make it even more humorous, the chips that came with the panini were actually LESS salty than the panini itself. As soon as I got home I tossed the rest of the panini away and said goodbye to my $5.73. Needless to say, this visit does not leave me with a hankering for more. They never have coffee (hazelnut) readily available. Today, people were in line waiting for coffee. If you have a regular run on coffee on a certain day or time, realize you need to be prepared and have it ready to go for that rush period and beyond! Bradlyn (hope I am spelling her name correctly) was incredibly helpful and always is! We get GREAT customer service from her. All other employees need to take a page from her book and treat customers like she does! Here's an update on Feb 28, 2019: Drive-thru Wait was 30 minutes! 30! I couldn't back out because others were behind me. Got to the window, expecting my order to be at least somewhat put together. Not even. I watched as they were putting my daughter's strawberry smoothie together 5 minutes after we got to the window. No coffee yet. No bagel. No yogurt. That is all we ordered. Simple items. I joked with my daughter about how they were kneading the bread for the bagels before boiling as well as the grapes were just picked to dry to make into raisins to put into her cinnamon raisin bagel. I looked behind us and the truck that was behind us in line was now gone. Jumped the curb??? I asked for my money back because it was now 10 minutes since sitting at the window. It took the OWNER of that franchise to give me a refund because I honked and then knocked on the window repeatedly. He finally showed up. He took a good 3 more minutes to do the refund. My daughter was nearly late for her appointment I needed to drop her off to before heading to my appointment that I was now late for. Here's the funny/not funny thing: on my way to my appointment, noticed a vehicle that was 2 car-lengths behind me was then at the window! THAT was now 45 minutes past the time we first got into line. I could agree with John R. as to the slowest service that I had ever dealt with in any new restaurant. On the other hand they never surveyed Fort Hood as being part of Killeen, which was a biggest mistake that Panera could have done.. they should have done a better detail and built a bigger facility and not a small one. They needed to bring some veteran panera workers during the opening or during rush hour because I was waiting for 2 bagels and cream cheese and it took almost 40 mins..they need to add another toaster and a bagel cutter instead of 1 at the back and 1 at the front and more presses..aside from those hiccups they did bring out a good food. On the 2nd time I went there it was absolutely quiet I had ordered a breakfast ham and egg sandwich on rye and came out in 2 to 3 minutes and it was perfect! The 'Chicken Tortellini Alfredo' was a combination of room temperature and cold ingredients. It was to be tossed in alfredo sauce which if it really was there, it was such a small amount that you couldn't tell. The side of bread was tough and rubbery. Oh and the coffee was so weak that the tiny bit of cream I added turned it white. Next to the coffee that I took was one labeled weak coffee or something like that. I don't think you could get much weaker then what I had. VERY OVER PRICED for the quality. read more

So we ordered 6 Cinnamon Crunch bagels - which we love- online for rapid pickup. (Seriously, do not try to get something there without rapid pick up because they are slow!) Unfortunately, when we arrived and went to pick them up we had a note that said, "See manager." We did, only to find out they don't have any cinnamon crunch bagels. So they gave me a refund and the pastries I ordered. Here's an idea- When you run out of something, don't let people order them online and pay for them. Update your system. Otherwise, your previous rating from said customer goes from a 4-stars to a 2-stars. And apparently on Yelp, that's the only that now counts from me. I've been staying the Marriott right next door and coming to Panera bright and early at 6 am as soon as they open. Although I'm alway the first customer of the morning they have greeted me with a smile and positive attitude. I'm really thankful its right next door to my hotel and that the morning crew has been a delightful part of my morning.
