This is actually my second time here -- I visited Bubba's the last time I was in Celina, Texas, and came back again on this trip. Overall, it's been a really good experience both times. The service really stands out. I had a bad throat, and our server kindly brought me warm water with lemon on request. I don't eat beef or pork, and she made sure to double-check with the kitchen, which I truly appreciated. That level of care made a difference. Great place to eat or just hang out and enjoy a cold beverage. I was happy to see they even had options for non alcoholic beverages & beers, however they didn't have much in the way of vegetarian or vegan options other than salad. Maybe offer some cauliflower hot wings or fried mushrooms, maybe an impossible burger. There were a couple of negatives, the fries were a little soggy and tasted like the oil was old, maybe change it out a little more often on busy days. That said, other than the fries, the food we did have was done well and tasted great! Our server was spot on and quick to get to us. On a positive! If it's nice out, they have a relaxing outdoor space and the doors inside also raise up to give you that outdoor feeling without actually being there. Nine out of ten times I have an excellent dining experience at the Killeen location. We all know happens. My wife ordered a meat lovers type pizza. She substituted pepperoni for Canadian bacon. The server got it right, but the kitchen got it wrong and caught it before it came to the table. The manager came out and explained what went wrong, took ownership and apologized telling us it would be about 12 minutes longer. I, meanwhile, ordered my personal favorite, the Monti Christo with no powdered sugar. A true crowd pleaser. I didn't want that sitting under the warmer and the manager offered to make a new one to come out with my wifes meal. Very nice of them but I was starving and my wife insisted they bring it out now. Bubbas is a subsidiary of the Texas roadhouse and is just as popular. As a matter of fact, the interior resembles the Road House as well, except that there are more flat screens to watch sports on. The service is much the same and there's plenty of rock music playing overhead. Instead of steaks, this is more of a pizza, wings and burger outfit. They do have an extensive menu with plenty of drink choices to go with. I decided on the ribeye, hoping it would be just as good as Road House, but it fell slightly short, but it was still good. The chicken and shrimp penne was very good and had just a nice hint of spice. Overall, this place delivers for the money and next time we'll stick to the pizza and burgers. This place was busy and vibing! We went to watch football games and their multiple tvs with different games did not disappoint. The restaurant is large with a lot of seating and a big parking lot right off the highway. Love this as an alternative to. Buffalo Wild Wings. We sat at the bar and were able to order food and drink. Came here on a Tuesday cause this place is always packed on Fridays and the weekends. I Haven't been to a bubbas in forever, service was good and the food came out in a decent time. Been here many times and keep forgetting to leave a review. The food and service is always great. Servers are always friendly and take good care of you. Also the managers go to each tables and introduce themselves and asks about your food and experience. It does get pretty loud on some days. My friends and I visit on Wednesday afternoon and the noise is not bad. I ordered double bacon cheeseburger and a big salad. I think the burger shrunk today, lol . Service at the bar is amazing! The FOH messed up our reservation and the bigger party had a long time to be seated and order food and my plus one and I had to be out quickly. This was my first time here and I must say that it was an enjoyable experience. My ADHD was definitely activated by all the decorations and televisions. This is definitely the place to be if you like sports bars with good food. The atmosphere was so welcoming and chill. Due to the fact that it was my first time, I didn't know what I wanted to eat. My partner wanted wings and fried pickles so we ordered the appetizer, chicken tenders, bone-in wings, shrimp, fries, Cole slaw, and the macaroni and cheese (yes we went overboard). Shout out to our waiter Juan though, who made our lives so much easier since my partner was so indecisive. He was so nice and understanding. He definitely understood the assignment. The chicken tenders were so juicy. I love how they curled the shrimp and the swirl of the mozzarella sticks. The food was a true work of art. I wish the macaroni had more cheese though. Everything was so flavorful with a hint of spice. The Cole slaw was the perfect medium to cool everything down. When it comes to entertainment, Bubba's had a plethora of televisions that showed different things. The music selection was from all genres and eras which amplified my nostalgia. The decorations were floor to ceiling with different types of art as well as cute little statues. I couldn't really figure out the theme besides good food, good music and entertainment. Came for dinner ordered 2 steaks and a small pizza. Waited an hour to be served when the food finally got there one steak was tough the other was mostly fat and gristle. In case you didn't know Bubbas 33 was opened and Owens by the TXRH original owner Kent Taylor. amazing man you should read his back made from scratch. THE FOOD: We ate at bubbas 33 and it was a horrible experience. Food was cold. Pizza was douched and over sauced in buffalo sauce. All fried food came out warm not HOT. NOT ONE SINGLE MANAGER came and checked on us. It was clear as day we were unhappy at our table. The only highlight for our food was a garlic knots. Those were a 10/10. THE SERVER: Our server was a young man named Ian and he was AMAZING! He was very speedy and made sure we got everything we needed. His management team failed him in making sure we left happy. I personally will never come back here again. I will got to TXRH time and time again. Because the food truly is made from scratch. The steaks are hand cut. I got the shrooms burger I had them take the patty off and add extra mushrooms it was seasoning so good the way they grilled the mushrooms I had to come back the next day and get it to go. You'll definitely be full because burgers are huge, tasty, and come with a large amount of delicious seasoned fries too. There are 3 things that make a restaurant great: food, well done in a good quality and quantity, service must friendly, attentive and proficient, and final atmosphere, immaculately clean, interesting and not to hot or cold temperatures. Each of these three benchmarks were met and exceeded. The food was delivered fast and it was great. The service by Cheyenne, was excellent. She made our evening. And the manager Theresa stopped by just to ask how we likes her restaurant! She got two thumbs up from all of us. Finally, I truly enjoyed the way the place was. There is a big variety of food to choose from. Drinks are very good as well. The place can be a bit loud since it's usually packed, but it seemed to quiet down around 8, which we didn't mind at all. Issac was our server tonight, and he was very sweet and helpful. He checked on us a good amount, but not overly so. The food was delicious. We got our usual nachos with chorizo and chicken. Still loving this place, one of our monthly go-to's! It's always so fun here and it keeps our toddler a bit more entertained than other places due to the tvs with sports usually and the music. With the music playing, it helps me feel a bit more relaxed because it isn't just a quiet restaurant. We can all laugh and be relaxed without everyone hearing us. My family and I visited this location on April 26th, around 5:30pm. We ordered drinks and I was asked twice whether I wanted sweet or unsweetened tea. Each time I responded with unsweetened. I am diabetic and watch my sugar intake carefully. Of course, I was brought sweet tea and only realized after taking a long gulp. Strike 1. We ordered appetizers. She had the Super Stromboli. (5+/5) She kept saying it was THE BEST Stromboli she'd ever had. Well we live outside NY City for two years so I found that hard to believe.... Had to try it and it was very good. Atmosphere (4.75/5)- a bit loud maybe, but you're not there for a romantic candle light dinner, you're there to hang out with friends and have some good food, so the 80s-90s rock and multiple big screens were right in par. Service (5+/5)- they were all super friendly and welcoming. Big James (who's not really all that big) ought to be in the Hospitality Hall of Fame and should be made a restaurant service trainer NOW, if he's not already. Somebody promote this guy!
