The burger itself on the pretzel roll was ok, but the Brisket..... I have lived in Texas all of my life. I have had Brisket from some truly talented pit masters, and I always judge it by the tenderness, smoke ring, and bark. This was mushy and wet (not moist, more like it was boiled?) and very pale with little taste. If this did start as Brisket, then what was done to it is borderline criminal. Overheard another customer talking to the owner (I believe), commenting on the unusual choice of cornbread waffles with the Chicken Fried Chicken, and her response was that she was from "up North", and didn't understand "Texas Toast" served down here. Maybe that is the issue. When you hear a name like "Let's Eat Texas" you are expecting food cooked a certain way, with a certain taste. Maybe they should rename it "Let's Eat New Jersey", at least then you would know what you were getting into.

It was entertaining to watch them making fresh tortillas while we waited. Seems to be a family ran establishment of hard workers. I think they gave me Al Pastor instead of California? It was delicious, but definitely not worth the $7.50 for 2 tortillas wrapped around meat. I expected more from a "California burrito" but like I said, they were delicious. Would order the burritos again for sure. The quesabirria and consume were the best I've had in the area. The fresh tortillas were AMAZING while hot. Excited to go back and try more menu items.

We happened upon this little gem today and we are so excited!! I am still in a wheelchair. The restaurant is small and was full so we decided to eat outside. The staff brought our food on regular plates to the car! It meant so much that we could eat off of regular dishes. They sell fresh tortillas as well. My husband is Mexican and is a good cook. He wholeheartedly approves of this restaurant. Everything was delicious, fresh and authentically Mexican! I had taco birria plate, hubs had carne asada tacos. We both had some kind of fresh fruit drink which is amazing h! Not overly sweet and lots of fresh fruit! What a gem.ill bet they don't stay in this small location long. I planned to take some back to the hotel for later. The Fish and Shrimp Soup arrived piping hot and garnished with lime, cilantro, rice, chiles, and onions to just enhance the experience. Adding a robust squeeze of the lime made the aroma pop and it woke up the senses! Floated the chiles and added a couple spoons of the cilantro to steep. It was everything that I hoped for. The fish and shrimp (plenty) shared the headliner perfectly. The fish, was crisp yet flaky and stood up to the bath in the broth. In a supporting role, let's talk about the hearty vegetables including cabbage, celery, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. The batter lost a little to the cheese and the green salsa (added), but was a complete flavor when cut into each full bodied bite.
