Paid $12.95 for this. $5 of that was for extra cream cheese. The only thing I requested was NO bell pepper. Why does this have the tiniest amount of veggies and no lettuce, just a few pieces of spinach. This place needs better consistency. I'm getting tired of having this issue.

I've been ordering the same item for a couple of months now. Located in Killeen's south side of town, right in the heart of Clear Creek Rd one can easily drive past the location if they do not know what to look for. The place is very quaint, it occupies several other businesses as well as apartments. This is also the home of the Big A** Pizza, I believe it is a 40 inch? But that's for another review. The goal is to order the sandwich and to get it when it comes hot. Otherwise, you are just eating dry cardboard with bacon, egg and cheese. This was actually the first time the sandwich was made to perfection. It was nice and hot, the even toast on the bread on both sides, the melted cheese, the perfectly cooked egg and bacon, I couldn't have asked for anything better... well I believe I could have. Being a New Yorker, I am always critical about this type of sandwich. Baconeggandcheese is a well-known commodity in NYC, and if not made properly, you will have a revolt against you. This is no NYC bagel, this is a Texas bagel. So for them trying to recreate a staple in NYC food, I believe it is very decent and will continue to buy from this establishment this very same sandwich.

I was told about this place by the ladies that work at the shoe insert spot in the same plaza. Had to give it a try since they said the owner is from Jersey. First time I went, the fam and I sat inside and ate there. Got us a pie and it reminded us of the pizza spots back home. The owner came out and was extremely nice along with his staff. I came here to get breakfast for my work team. They didn't have some of the items I needed but they gave me awesome substitutes to consider. They are so knowledgeable about their food and the options. The customer service is the best I have had in a while. It wasn't just me. I sat in awe and watched them do it with everyone over and over again. I live closer to the Heights location but this was worth the trip. The guy and lady at the front were so awesome read more

This place has alot of varieties of bagels and freshly baked goods. They were very nice even though we had come in right when they were opened. Like they had to unlock their doors!. YES, YES, YES!! This place is SO good, I had an actual addiction this past summer. The staff are friendly and if you go fairly regularly, they seem to recognize your face and remember your order. The bagels are delicious and the spreads and even better. I usually get an onion bagel with lox spread, which is so good and my husband loves the lox sandwich. The pickles are quite literally the best pickles I've ever had, I always order an extra on the side. I recommend going inside to order, it's a lot faster than the drive through! read more

I'm hooked after one visit! Pregnancy has me craving cream cheese bagels, so I made my way over here yesterday and had a bagel with their sun dried tomato & herb spread. It'll be a feat trying not to make this a twice-daily habit. I was also pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. I was expecting to spend $5+ but ended up spending less, including a tip. I really like Bite the Bagel but I have given this location 3 tries before writing this review. They always mess up something with my orders. This time we waited 11mins for 3 bagels with cream cheese that were suppose to be toasted but were rock hard instead so I don't understand why we waited that long.... I recommend the Harker Heights location.Worth the drive. read more

I'm a regular at Bite the Bagel...love the people & always love the bagels and muffins. Both for breakfast French Toast bagel with PB, or turkey sandwich on a garlic bagel for lunch. Always, always the best...my only issue, I sometimes can't make it before they close , but that's not their fault. I recommend to everyone, even if they don't ask. read more

I really used to love this place but quality has disappeared, My bagels weren't toasted which made it so gross and chewy, my egg wasn't cooked all the way, it was barely warm probably because my egg wasn't fully cooked and neither was my bagel, over all it was a horrible sandwich. I purchased the orange poppy seed muffin this morning and it was out of this world! The staff is friendly and personable. There is plenty of room should you choose to enjoy your purchase in the shop. Samuel C. loves himself a good overstuffed sandwich. More is more. But Paradise Has Its Price. If your bagel or sourdough bread is overstuffed, that makes it harder to taste the sourdough. Which kind of defeats the primary purpose of you being there. However, if you really concentrate, And eat mindfully, You can make out the taste of that bagel or sourdough bread Underneath all the good stuff. That is a real pleasant moment when that taste comes through. You are going to have to concentrate to get to that sourdough taste. Spring 2026 they have a seasonal dill pickle cream cheese is incredible! I wish it was a permanent option. Service was pretty quick. They brought the order to my table. The place has outdoor seating, although it's right on Lamar so you have to contend with street traffic. During the pandemic, you had to order well in advance, but now on weekdays, you can usually walk in and get your order quickly. Weekends might require a little planning for a larger order. They don't have a great coffee program. They offer light and dark roasts, no espresso drinks or decaf. But I still think they deliver a great, no-frills bagel shop.

Great family place! First tried them in Harker Heights and grand-daughters fell in love with the place. They especially loved the game tables. I was sooo happy when I had heard they were opening one on Clear Creek. Coworkers and I have been there a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Today, I had the New Yorker and it was delish. Their house made spicy mustard had just enough bite to wake up the taste buds. There will definitely be more visits in the future as their are so many other items to try. read more

Hands down the best bakery/deli in the area. From the amazingly fun board game tables, to the everything-made-from-scratch menu, this is the place to go and to take your whole family! The food is amazing and the staff is the best around. If you're itching for something in particular that you might not see on the menu - just tell them and they will make it happen. This is by far the best place in Killeen to grab a bite to eat. The staff are the friendliest people and everything on the menu is fabulous!!! My favorite is the Bacon egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel. If you want a sub gotta go with the cheese steak. All the bagels and bread for subs is prepared and cooked in house. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. Great bagels and sandwiches. I'm into trying "cold brew" coffee because of Nick Bare. Theirs is pretty good. Better than Starbucks. Think I'll keep coming here. read more
