I like it. I've been ordering sandwiches many times now. I've bought their pastrami and turkey. If you get their app, you can specify details how you want it. I also like having their chili bowl. It's so good and comforting. The workers are so nice. When you walk in they greet you. I like that my I'm able to order on the app and then pick it up. The facility is run down quite a bit. Tables are falling apart, everything looks dirt and not well kept. Staff were friendly but really seemed unhappy, agitated and irritated with customers pulling in. Our cashier was a little rude, refused to look at us while we tried to place an order. Very filthy inside, table bottoms and tops pealing off, floors a bit grimy and that doesn't include was the kitchen/cook area looked like. Would not recommend personally due to health concerns and we are obviously in a pandemic. I do believe health services should do a surprise walk through. It's concerning. I would recommend the owner or manager getting involved now, before this location loses more business and potentially goes out of business. I understand the problem with getting good help, but the individuals working, seem to have no training and are just overwhelmed, don't know how to stream line , organize things and don't know your subs/recipes. I have waited at least 30 to 40 minutes the last two times I have gone in now. These are my favorite fast-food subs, so I am willing to give it another shot at this location, but you need to get involved and fix your problems now before it's too late. I didn't get anything because they would not honor the deal advertised on TV or their website. They said it was only valid online even though their website said nothing about it. I might have used their website except it doesn't accept PayPal, Google pay, applepay, or anything except a credit card. I just recently started eating at firehouse. The employees are always excellent there. Great personalities and professional. The food is always great!!! I am very picky about my chili but I must say kudos!!! The chili is amazing! The meatball subs are great as well. There is not to much sauce and the meatballs are a generous size. I drive through Killeen on a regular basis on my trips back and forth to the deer lease. I have been to other Firehouse locations around the country when I am needing a quick bite and want something other than a hamburger. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and my son ordered a turkey sandwich plain. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is not the best I have ever eaten but keep in mind it is still fast-food. It was much better than a burger that I did not want. We both got the medium sub which is an 8" sub sandwich. This location got our orders made quickly and correctly. Our order was served hot. The staff seemed to be paying attention to what we wanted as it was prepared correctly. They were efficient in what they were doing which is ok with me because I was there to eat and not make friends. Bottom line: Fast-food that provides a good alternative to burgers. Taste is pretty good and the staff was efficient. I was in and out relatively quickly. I really could not ask for much more. Bon appétit. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered the large brisket and cheese sub and the large classic Philly cheesesteak. We UberEats them so we anticipated a little soggy, but when they got here they weren't even toasted. The Philly cheesesteak was okay, again the cheese was so cold that it was sticking together instead of pulling apart. We also ordered 2 chocolate chip cookies and 2 brownies. I couldn't tell you how they taste because they weren't in there, they forgot them. There were other little things missing like the side pickle that comes with every sub. The food took nearly 20 minutes to reach the table and we were the only customers in the restaurant until another couple came in after us ( btw they got there meals first) then when we did get our subs they were burnt to a crisp! If I could give this place a one star I would. You could imagine my shock when I was greeted with bugs.Looking closer I realize that they were cockroaches. I go up to the register and order my food despite what I was greeted with since I was starving.The employee greets me and tells me to hold up and that they would be back shortly. I wait for about 6 minutes when they finally come back. I order the bacon ranch but without the bacon due to me not eating pork. When I eventually get the food I open to see bacon. This was my second time patronizing this store, and everything was fine the food the first time. This time I ordered online and added extra cheese for $1.50. The sandwich came with provolone, but I ordered cheddar as an extra. Drove 15 minutes in the snow and ice (3 Feb 2022), walked in, grabbed my bag off the rack and drove home. I got the cheddar cheese I paid extra for, but they left off the provolone it comes with. Why would you pay extra for a different type of cheese? I paid extra as "in addition to". Also, they didn't put my complimentary pickle in the bag, and you know those make the sandwich. However, the gals who run the place are nice enough. Where do I start with this restaurant. They got the Subaru wrong and I never knew a sub could be sweet when eating it and the whole two subs where done wrong. We ordered the Italian subs with one with regular sub and one wheat. They both where wheat with one suppose to add olives, pickles, banana peppers and the other one was add banana peppers and Bell peppers. They got everything wrong and I wasn't happy eating it because you can get the sweet taste out of your mouth. They don't give you much options to take things off for people with allergies and they don't offer drinks. To charge as much as they do it needs to be fixed like the customer wants it and don't forget items from a person's order. Not happy because we could have ordered from Subway, jersey Mike's and other places for subs but we wanted to try something new and new wasn't good at all. If you ask me just stick with what you know is a good subway place and live the firehouse alone. read more

I will never eat at subway again. My husband has been trying to covert me for months and I have seen the light. We ate there last week and was so blown away we went back the next day. I had the broccoli cheese soup both days- so freaking good. Now we can't stop talking about wanting to open our own one day. The lady taking our order was super patient my first time there and didn't seem irked about giving me 8 different recommendations and then taking my order for something else. The subs are so perfect and fresh. The quality of the meats and cheeses and bread really blew my mind. I want to try them all. Writing this review is making me crave their food now. And... They have the super cool new drink machines where you can make any soda ever thought of. Strawberry sprite ...mmmm. The only complaint I can think of is the design of the trash can. You can't possibly keep that thing clean with the tiny hole of a top. Weird. The rest of the restaurant is so cute! There is a very expansive menu, vegetarian options, low calorie options and the sofa selection is huge! We felt very welcomed, the woman at the counter explained everything to us step by step. The food came out In a timely fashion, it was cooked perfectly and exactly to our specifications. The restaurant was clean, and the bathrooms were tended to immediately when notified they were less that adequate. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My husband goes here so much and usually orders the same thing to where they great him and say "your usually Mr Mike?"
