Best chicken place hands down I just moved from the East Coast and heard about bushes and it did not disappoint. Everything was hot and fresh the prices are so cheap they have special days with deals and discounts I've only been to this place twice and I'm already dreaming about going back I love that they have cheap options like the tender roll for on the go eating I love the seasoning salt and whole honey jars that they have on the tables the staff is absolutely amazingThere's one guy in particular that's always there when we come and he provides the best customer service I've ever had in my life every single time we come we feel as though her family the corn poppers are to die for I'll be back for more and eventually I'll have the whole menu this is definitely something for the books read more

The team tonight was absolutely amazing, now I did beg and plead on my hands and knees for them to let me in to poop, but they couldn't let me in after locking the doors much to my dismay. I understand policy and did make it over to Whataburger to punish their toilet for something it never did to me. After making the emergency class 2 download, I did come back to feed the family a bunch of chicken. Absolutely amazing, order was 100% accurate even though my three bonus daughters were trying my patience with their inability to commit to a choice that was in no way life threatening about what they would have in their digestive track overnight. This is my second time having bush's chicken and OHEMMMGEE I mean this stuff is just so good. Both times I've gotten the #1 4 tenders with fries. Enjoyed the meal to the fullest both times. I know this place maybe is just regular and like a KFC but it's wayyyyyyy better than that place honestly. Definitely a quick bite, they take your order from the car and then within about 3 mins, I tell no lies, they have your food. And I was skeptical at first. How could my order be ready so quickly. It was not only ready within minutes but it was nice and hot and fresh! I don't know anywhere that takes orders so fast and delivers the food to your car just as fast. It's crazy. I've been to this location a number of times some good and some bad. 10/22/2022 was the extreme worse. I came at 1035am as they opened ordered two tender roll meals, a kids chicken leg meal, okra and a 12pc liver and gizzard meal. The fried okra was over cooked (as in the past), the liver and gizzards were somewhat too well cooked but was VERY Disappointing was my son and I bit into the tender rolls and we both pulled out a long blonde string of hair from our mouths. How disgusting! We immediately spit out the food and returned it for a full refund. With the refund we received an apology ( the young lady was around food without her ponytail pulled up). As I received my refund I asked if they were required to wear hair nets to prevent this from occurring and I was told no. It happens a lot but policy doesn't require it only to have hair pulled up. I have been in food service both military ( I'm a veteran)and civilian jobs and at no time have I heard of working around food especially with long hair swinging with no hair nets. I'm so done with Bush's Chicken just way to many repetitive issues. I would never suggest any of the restaurants to visiting family or friends. Wow!!! A few days ago my husband and i bought some take out from bushes for the first time. We are from California visiting family that live here and we don't have a bush's over there. The chicken tenders were very very delicious and seemed to have been brined before frying. The Mac and cheese, dinner rolls, and fried okra were great. Best fried chicken place I've been to so far. It's your typical Bush's Chicken with super sweet tea & bland chicken, but cheap. However, they don't have the 3-4 lane drive thru like the other ones. Its a tight fit making it around the back of the building for the drive thru. It's a victim of the "lets cram everything in one spot, in killeen" so this is what you get. Location, location, location. It's right off of Lowe's Rd, between Walmart & HEB, so on the weekends and in the evenings during the week, it's HORRIBLE trying to navigate out of the parking lot. read more

First time here and I can say not bad. We decided to get the 12 piece family meal because after adding up individual meals that seemed like the best route. We got chicken tenders they were cooked up nicely and not dry. The rolls that come with the meal are so good and Fluffy, the gravey is a nice touch as well.
