They were flexible and supportive of our event. The food kept us happy (and the beer certainly didn't hurt!). I'm sure we'll be back!

What a place! This was our first visit after coming downtown…read morefor some post-church grub, and we're glad we stopped in. The interior is pretty bare bones--nothing fancy. Just a clean, simple dining room with some background music. That said, one thing stood out immediately: this place is spotless. Our server, Dominique, was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly fast. Great service can make a meal even better, and Dominique definitely did. Our pizza arrived surprisingly quickly, and it looked every bit as good as it tasted. Personally, I prefer a little more sauce, but that's just my preference--not a knock on the pizza itself. The amount of cheese was amazing, and the flavor...wow. It's hard to describe, but the first bite instantly took me back to the neighborhood pizzerias I grew up with in the 1970s. The ingredients tasted fresh, the pizza was cooked perfectly, and the crust had just the right texture--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, without being either mushy or overly hard. This place is a true hidden gem. As an added bonus, they brew their own beer. If you're a fan of porters or stouts, do yourself a favor and try the Black Panther. It's rich, smooth, and absolutely lives up to its name. We'll definitely be back! If you'd like, I can also make it sound a little more "Yelp-like"--more conversational and enthusiastic while keeping it authentic.

We loved her. Now when my sister said they had good food, I did NOT expect it to be soooo delicious...yummy!!! I ordered the smothered pork chops & the serving was HUGE! I had enough for 2-1/2 meals! It was scrumptious! I loved everything, especially the onions they grilled (or however they cooked them). It was clear that whoever was in the kitchen absolutely knew what they were doing & they cooked with some extra helpings of love in there! My sisters had the fried catfish & I tried theirs & was completely blown away! It was truly one of the BEST fried catfish I have had since I've been in Texas...& that's saying a lot because I've tried a LOT of different places & my hips prove it every time I look in the mirror...lol! The crispness, the lightness, the perfectly seasoned batter & fish were above & beyond! OMGosh! I can't WAIT to come back...even though the drive is 2 hours away, it will definitely be worth it! Great job Hallmark! & thank you Jessie for making it such an enjoyable experience for us. God bless you all!

Today's special was the all you can eat Schnitzel with purple cabbage and fried potatoes. The meal came out hot and fast. The Schnitzel had a good gravy. A few more onions than I prefer but wouldn't prevent me from ordering it again. The potatoes and cabbage were good too. Although it was the "all you can eat" special, I was done after one plate. Overall its was a good meal. I just wish I could've had more room.
