I usually stop by this Panera location when I am both hungry and in need of a cozy & reliable space to get some work done. The food itself is pretty standard cafe food: soups, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. In all of my visits, it has been consistently fresh and satisfying. I will say that sometimes my orders take a little longer to be prepared, but again, it's always fresh and tasty. The price is a little steep, but I think the "You Pick Two" option has a pretty good value level. I usually order on the kiosk and overall, the availability of seating and consistently good food keeps me coming back.

I recently joined the Sip Club, so I have been visiting different locations more frequently. This particular one wouldn't be my first choice if you are planning to work or study. It tends to be noisy, and there are very few wall outlets. I only noticed one or two. It's just not a very study-friendly environment for me. Mornings are especially busy. There is a regular group of older adults who meet up, take a few tables, and catch up. Nothing against them at all -- just something to be aware of if you're looking for a quieter space. On the bright side, parking is never an issue. There's plenty of it, which is a plus.

What I was charged

I was not happy when I got to the location to find they are charging a dollar more than widely advertised for their mix and match items. Not ok. What made it more disappointing was the Italiano sandwich was so greasy it was uneatable. I tried to soak up the grease with a stack of napkins which made it even more wasteful. I don't think this location is right for me. I will say the location was clean and had plenty of seating. Oddly the company contacted me to resolve my Dissatisfaction. I was to be given a $5 credit to use within the month. Well that amount came to only $2 when I went to order. I have not trust or respect for this company. False advertising. False promises to make good.

BBQ Chicken Sandwich $13 for THIS??

Barely any BBQ sauce and chicken .... $13 Overpriced for very little food Panera is not worth it guys

I ordered from a kiosk but the staff is nice when I go to pick up. I joined the Sip Club here so I can enjoy a drink every 2 hours or if I eat onsite then endless refills. This place could use a better water filtration system. Plenty of parking and place is clean enough. Casual.

Absolutely disgusting! Cold soup; Old halfway cooked bread- Do not even think about this place, I should've noticed why it's empty... Save your time & money, or get a hot dog next door at the movie theater- I would've just given my $13 to a homeless right outside here on Devonshire-

Nice quiet place to come have a date or read/ do computer work. The service is always friendly but they do forget things from time to time (like our dip for the French bread and our bread bowl... twice) The food is consistently good. They have THE best broccoli cheddar soup and lots of choices for different sandwiches . I don't like their tomato soup (tastes like marinara sauce, honestly). My favorite sandwiches are the chipotle avocado and the French dip sandwich; both pair well with the broccoli cheddar. 4 stars instead of 5 for not getting our order right more than once within the same month

My favorite seasonal soup is back at Panera. Squash soup in a bread bowl. My order was to go this evening. This location is situated next to a movie theater in a very busy populaepro I ordered online and the staff at the pick-up window is very friendly. Prices have gone up a little but these days most places have. This sourdough bread bowl was delicious along with my savory squash soup. If the temps keeps cooling off I see more trips in my future.

Fairly decent Panera bread. Came on a Friday afternoon and it was quiet, with some loud children and teens but it was okay. Unfortunately there was only 1 outlet available out of the entire dining room space, which was taken by one gentleman. Other branches are equipped with multiple outlets so it was disappointing. The seating is also very lacking in booths-- maybe 2-3 booths total? One table was half a booth and the other half had the wood hard chairs. Over time, it gets uncomfortable sitting on them. My laptop died as I worked on stuff I needed to do. I don't recommend coming here if you plan to be here for a long duration of time as it'z not really comfortable. Also ordered a bowl of soup, a cookie, and chips. We go to pick it up and the staff said wait, he needs to wait real quick for the cookie. "Ok!" We say, all excited. He puts it on the tray. We sit down and munch-- realizing the said cookie is hard and cold. We wondered why the staff even made a comment that sounded like he was making a fresh hot cookie when the reality was he just needed to grab a cookie to place on the tray. Food tasted yummy and my craving for the tomato soup was satisfied. Other than that, expect to come here as a casual eatery rather than a cozy spot to get stuff done!

1 Star - Absolutely Disgusting and Unprofessional Experience I've never written a Yelp review like this before, but what I witnessed at Panera Bread today was downright horrific. While waiting on my order--three sandwiches for me and my children totaling over $50--I watched Joel Ortiz, an employee behind the counter, drop a marker INTO the food right in front of me. Yes, a marker, as in the kind you write with. I immediately said something, expecting a prompt apology and for the contaminated food to be thrown out. Instead? He ignored me. I alerted another employee--also ignored. Their excuse? "He doesn't speak English." I'm sorry, but basic food safety is universal. A health violation is a health violation in any language. But it gets worse. Joel then proceeded to shove his hands inside the back of his pants to adjust his waistband--with no gloves on, no hand wash afterward, and then went right back to building sandwiches like nothing happened. I pointed this out too. Still, no urgency, no apology--just excuses. And after all that? He had the audacity to ask for my name and then cancel our order. We waited over 20 minutes just to be told to leave, handed a new refund receipt and absolutely nothing to show for it. The place wasn't even busy. This is not just poor service--it's a complete breakdown of health code standards, professionalism, and basic human decency. Panera, if this is your version of hospitality, it's no wonder your location is sitting at 2.5 stars on Yelp. And yes, I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and posting this on Google Reviews too. You can reply with whatever excuse you want, but the reviews speak for themselves. This was a disgrace. Shame on the manager who allows this behavior under their watch. Your name on the door means nothing if you let the operation rot from the inside.

I was greeted upon entering, i was the last one from my party to arrive but out server was kind and patient and made sure to check on me but not rush me which I appreciated. We had empanadas (cheese, corn, & chorizo with onion) all were Simple but good: we also got a sandwich de limito with my friend really enjoyed, and we got a Thursday special Picanha al Porto( Two grilled Picanha steaks served with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich port wine reduction sauce.) it was so delicious. We also had a chicken soup de cilantro, it reminded me of a dish in Guatemala we call Jocon, such a delicate heart warming thick broth of yummyness. I did notice that they change their specials I don't know if it's monthly or with the season but I think that's what makes a restaurant special. There were people coming and going but not over crowded again our server was fun and kind and I enjoyed the food and just being there.

Figure out what you want to try before going because the menu is intimidating. There's a lot to try out depending on the time of day AND they have daily specials. I have 6 photos full of items that they offer and that is not enough to capture everything they offer. This place has definitely been around a while. Everything is a bit run down due to wear and tear. It kind of gives the place a rustic charm that also works as a small local market. Now I've read some reviews about service here, but I had a very bad experience. It was slow and we often felt ignored. Had to hail down some waiters to get served. Maybe it's because we came for lunch so there weren't as many employees on the floor? Not sure, but that's the only reason for flagging this rating as a 4 star. Food was great and unique. I tried their daily special and realized that I would love to imitate some of their cooking methods. Soup was not what I had expected, but the idea behind the food was there.

We got chicken wings, scallion pancake, pork and shrimp dumplings, and pork soup dumplings. The chicken wings had a mountain of fried garlic on top of them. We didn't prefer it, but garlic lovers would love this appetizer. The scallion pancake was solid--thin and crispy with scallions throughout. The pork and shrimp dumplings were our favorite, filled with ground pork, and whole pieces of shrimp, served with an awesome sauce that brought everything together. The soup dumplings were not that great. They looked like they were steamed a bit too long, and the soup had leaked through. Would not get these again.

I took my family there recently and the food was acceptable to eat, but I would not say it was a good representation of what it used to be. The beef soup noodle was generally lacking in strong savory flavor and the noodles were overcooked. The dumplings were also lacking in flavor. For these reasons I will give Northern Cafe 3-stars. However, I must add that I am being very generous, since I do not take away stars for one incident of poor service. The service was horrendous, from the beginning to the end of the meal, it was an awful experience. To begin, there was no greeting, and this is a frequent problem. Customers are left to stand in the lobby with no direction or acknowledgement of their presence. The staff sometimes look your way to ignore you until you confront them and ask for a table, which they may not give you until you ask the right person. The server did not write down our order and forgot some of it. They never came around to check on us. The food came out in a scattered fashion. Eventually when we were finished eating, no server came to ask us if we wanted the check or any boxes to go. After getting their attention, I received the bill, but they didnt take my payment. They never came around again, I told my family to leave without me and maybe they will notice we are finished and I am holding the bill and my cars in the air. No service again for what seemed like an eternity sitting at an empty table with food I at one time wanted to take home, but now I was just desperate to get out. Eventually I catch the eye of some other staff, not my server, who never came back, and they flagged someone else from the kitchen to take care of my payment. Not surprisingly, even with all the food left on the table, they did not offer if we wanted any of it to go. The saddest part of this experience is that I used to like this place. I have a few memories here I will never forget, but these memories have nothing to do with the food or the service. For the sake of my memories I will come try this place one more time

I came in with my daughters and we sat down, but it took quite a while before our server came over. From the beginning, her attitude felt very unfriendly and dismissive. I understand servers are busy and I'm not expecting anyone to be overly friendly, but there's a difference between being busy and making a customer feel like an inconvenience. I ordered tofu with my ramen, as I've done before. I was brought fried tofu, which I did NOT order. I immediately told her that I ordered the soft tofu because that is what I've always received here. She told me that it always comes fried. I told her I come here often and that I've never received it fried before. She walked away, and only after I was sitting there did she ask if I wanted the soft tofu. I said yes, and she brought it out. The bigger issue came when I received the check and realized I had been charged for BOTH the fried tofu and the soft tofu. I didn't order the fried tofu, and I didn't even touch it. It was brought out incorrectly in the first place. When I asked if the fried tofu could be removed from the bill, her response was, "Let me ask, I'm just a server?" That response was extremely unnecessary. I wasn't blaming her or being rude -- I was simply asking for an incorrect charge to be corrected. She eventually came back and told me the new total but never showed me the corrected receipt, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. On top of that, she never checked on us during the meal, offered refills, or came by to see if we needed anything. I actually had to look around and find her when I needed something. When we were leaving, she didn't say thank you or goodbye either. Mistakes happen that is not what bothered me. What bothered me was the attitude and the way the situation was handled. I left feeling like I was somehow in the wrong for asking not to be charged for food I never ordered or touched. I've had good experiences here before, so this was particularly disappointing. I hope management addresses the customer service because one unpleasant interaction can really change someone's entire experience. Servers name: Lupita.
