Hardly any egg or bacon on the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich I ordered. The worst. I'm done with Panera.

I've eaten Panera's Chicken and Wild Rice soup a hundred times and never once has the soup been brown or the chicken been orange. (Looks like canned salmon) I thought maybe they gave me a different soup by accident. The flavor tastes like it's been thawed and frozen over and over and that it was way over due for the trash can. The rice was complete mush with a baby food consistency. For almost $10 a soup I'm super disappointed. The baguette was also about as hard as a rock. Quality control? This place has not adapted well to the pandemic. Although it is curbside only, there is no indication of how to inform them when you have arrived, so you end up sitting and waiting. Last night, July 9, we spent a total $42.48 before tip and received maybe $5 of value. Of course we didn't realize it until we got home. The two napa almond chicken salad sandwiches appeared to have nearly a TEAspoon of chicken salad for each half. However, that TEAspoon of salad appeared to have been too much for it to have been able to fit on the torn bread. The tomato and lettuce were on the slimy side. In summary, the sandwiches appeared to have been hastily made with subpar ingredients and then cut with a golf club as they looked torn apart instead of cut with a knife. The macaroni and cheese was cold and flavorless, the lettuce in the caesar salad was slimy just like the sandwiches. The soups were okay, although barely lukewarm and we were shorted baguettes all around. Don't blame my drive to Clinton on the heat loss because I can get Chik-Fil-A soup and mac & cheese home and they are still too hot to eat right away. I guess for the owner, that is one way to make a profit. However, if this Panera is no longer willing to perform basic quality control, it will be a deserved casualty of the pandemic. Maybe its an employee or supervision issue. Either way it's not good. I suggest going somewhere else until this Panera gets its act straight. read more

There is literally no better place to buckle down and get work done than a Panera. Yup, you heard me NYC cafes, I LOVE PANERA. This one in particular is spacious, has tons of tables, outlets are plentiful and the staff is friendly. I went yesterday to meet a friend and work and couldn't have asked for a better set up. I got my coffee, picked a table by an outlet and didn't move for a few hours. The coffee is phenomenal and strong, just the way I like it. For just about $2 I had my coffee for the day. *Free refills, y'all* I switched over to tea at one point and must say they have a great selection. I got the Orange Ginger Mint, it was perfect for a caffeinated tea that wasn't too strong. I will say that it isn't the cleanest spot. The bathroom was kind of disheveled. A lot of the tables were dirty and needed to be wiped down but it wasn't a huge deal. I just grabbed a paper towel and made sure it was clean before I took my computer out. I didn't get any food this time but have in the past. They have a pretty big menu and all of their salads are fresh and yummy and I highly recommend the Fuji apple salad. Make sure you're part of the rewards program! You get a free treat on your birthday and you can accrue points for discounts, etc. It's located in the strip with Kohl's, Micheal's and Burlington, etc. and there is always plenty of parking. It's a safe bet you'll have a good meal/coffee. read more

It is no secret that Panera quality is sliding these days, but this location seems to be leading the charge to the bottom. I don't write too many reviews, but the last 3 visits to this location have all been problematic in different ways. The first was just a very simple trip for my very sick daughter. She wanted some chicken soup and this used to be her favorite. Unfortunately she got the "dregs" I guess because her bowl ($7) had 6 noodles, a smattering of carrots, and one lonely piece of chicken. At least it was warm. Next visit was more substantial. 4 meals, nothing fancy. Despite being promised at 2:30 it was almost another 40 minutes of waiting. The store wasn't busy but the staff was just glacial and confused. Maybe it was a bunch of new people but when I asked I got full on attitude. "We're moving as fast as we can wait your turn." My whole family was waiting on the car, was just trying to figure out if I should be ordering a pizza or not. Finally, last night, we ordered 3 soups. Again there was virtually no soup in my daughter's soup. Should have learned my lesson. Anyway, your best bet is to avoid Panera altogether and Flemington especially. In Flemington there are plenty of other great sandwich options and bagel shops. Do a quick search and you won't be disappointed. read more

I came in for a late lunch. I decided to try their Soba Noodles with Chicken Bowl. Totally the right choice! This dish hit the spot! I enjoyed it so much I even got my white blouse spotted a bit with Soy broth from slurping up the noodles, lol, but that's what laundry is for. Went to Panera for lunch on Saturday. This one tends to be a bit busy during peak periods, but in this case it was a complete zoo. When you walk in, the order counter is straight ahead, so given the crowd, the line wrapped to the left and there was no staff on hand to manage the line. Additionally, this Panera only recently added their self-service order kiosks, so there was no line, BUT the signage is poor and they foolishly placed it to the right side of the counter which is hard to find unless you know it's there. I did work my way to the order kiosks and ordering was pretty easy, even to customize my meal, although there is no sign to tell one to take a drink cup (found that out when the order was delivered). I ordered a pick-two combo...chicken noodle soup and turkey cranberry flatbread sandwich. The soup was good and the sandwich nicely prepared. I was VERY disappointed to find out that Panera no longer offers baked potato chips which is rather mind-boggling. While the food was good, the restaurant was way too busy and they continue to find ways to pack more seats into a small space. With all the under-supervised children running rampant (a few almost ran into the delivery staff), it's just not worth it. Highly unlikely that Ill be back to this Panera. read more

Ive never had a problem at this panera before, but tonite i experienced exactly what I was not expecting. I went on a Tuesday night around 6:30 pm and ordered a Mac and cheese with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. Service was fine, but the second bite I took of the soup, there was a hard weird taste in my mouth and I immediately took out what I had ALMOST swollen. I found it to be MULTIPLE pieces of PLASTIC in my soup. I put the soup aside as I would think there was more plastic in it. I go to start eating my Mac and cheese and notice that the dishes were not even clean. There was clearly spots of other past food that was on that plate before, and in the dish there was what I thought it would be a VINE of some sort. It looked like it was a piece of a vine from a grape in my dish. I eventually just lost my appetite over this, and did not continue to eat my order. The only person I saw in the kitchen was a young man with curly blonde hair, I don't know if he was responsible for the plastic and vine in my dishes, but this is unacceptable. I will attach photos of what was in my food, I hope they read this so they know to make sure dishes are clean BEFORE they give them out to costumers and to maybe make sure there is no PLASTIC in food that could be deadly? I left one star because today was the second time in the past two months that my order was not delivered. The cafe has taken a stance that since their deliveries are now done by Doordash, they are not responsible if order is not delivered, and all complaints should be taken up with "their" delivery service (Doordash). I've eaten at the Flemington Panera on multiple occasions and more often than not I've been disappointed with either food or service. First, prices have sky rocketed, if you buy a pick two plus drink, its almost $10. Ten dollars for a skimpy half a sandwich a small soup and fountain soda? And the half sandwich is not even a half by most deli standards. At my local deli I would get a 6" sub and a drink for way less money and leave full, not hungry. The Flemington Panera is always dirty. I've never seen anyone come around to wipe down or clean tables. Who wants to sit down to eat at a dirty table? Gross. Do they ever sweep the floor during the day? Doesnt look like it to me. It is always too cold inside with the a/c and there is always annoying jazz music playing. OK, I could ignore the music if the service and food were good. But theyre not. There is not enough staff. I've gone in during busy times and there is just one person taking orders, a long line of customers waiting. Why? Because they're too cheap to pay enough staff to be there. There is often a long wait. Plus the staff waste your time with useless questions like "would you like to join our club so we can spam you with emails." or "you can add a pastry to your lunch for just another $1.99." I have eaten at other Panera locations and none of them had the issues above, which leads me to believe that the Flemington Panera is poorly managed. read more

Just got the least appetizing sandwich I've ever seen at this establishment. Tastes just like the disdain with which it was made! Tried a bite from one side before I looked at the whole thing. Turkey on other half had a circle torn out and what might be a mold spot by the hole. Barf! I'd asked for extra lettuce-got the whole outside leaves, you know the frozen, rotten ones. Whole huge slices of onion - five on one side, one on the other. Two slices tomato ends on one side, none on the other. I passed up a 7-11 to spend more money on this garbage. I'd rather eat a prepackaged sandwich from there. Even if it had been sat on, it might look more appetizing than this slop. read more

This is one of the better Panera Bread locations. Its larger than most Paneras, and has a few tables outdoors. I sometimes meet friends here to spend a few hours working, as they have free Wifi. The staff here has always been friendly and helpful. My order was always correct, and the food has always been terrific. My favorite drink on the menu is their iced green tea. I remember this place fondly during the hurricane of 2012. My area was without power for over 2 weeks, so I would drive to Flemington to Panera, which was one of the few places that had power (to charge all my electronic devices), and hot food. It was a life saver! I did get yelled at for bringing my own power strip and plugging in a ton of devices lol. The manager was worried about the fire marshall giving him a violation. Be sure to get a Panera card for the deals they offer. read more

It's a Panera Bread it's like every other Panera bread. The food I've gotten here has always been good. It has outdoor seating which is nice, the Panera in nearby Bridgewater doesn't have outdoor seating. My only complaint with this place is it's pretty filthy. I don't know if it was just cause it's so busy and there's so many people going in and out and the tables don't get wiped down by the staff as much as they should? But it's pretty dirty. The food is good though. If you're a clean freak get your food to go, if you're someone who doesn't mind that much like me and can wipe the table off and eat my food, then check this place out! This PANERA FLEMINGTON NJ is by far the nicest Panera I have been to at all different states . From the friendliness of all the staff , the cleanliness, the quality and customer service are second to none !! I have a Panera 2 miles from my house and I go out of my way to come here an extra 10 miles . They are by far the best . Especially during COVID they are exceptional on the cleaning and sanitizing . All the workers are amazing but the manager Ellie is what makes this Panera location as phenomenal as it is . Her service and attention to detail and always putting the customers first is why I keep coming back to this location due to Ellie the manager !!! read more

I guess it's your pretty typical Panera. I hadn't been to a Panera in years and I recently stopped in here for lunch. I don't know what it is but I feel like this Panera is always packed - no matter when you go. I am not at all familiar with the menu, so it took me some time to decide on what I wanted. I ended going with the roast beef asiago which was basically a roast beef sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onions on some sort of asiago roll. It also had some sort of horseradish sauce on it. The sandwich itself was pretty good. Definitely tasty but really not that big. It did come with a bag of chips and a pickle. That would be a knock I have against this place - that the portions aren't very big. I also had a cookie when I was here and it was very good. Nice and soft and definitely baked fresh. I would recommend getting one. So...it's a decent place. I wouldn't come out of my way to go here, but I wouldn't be opposed to coming back here for a quick lunch. After I was almost finished with my very tasteless sandwich I noticed that my lettuce had a quarter size dirt on it. It was grayish color and it was thick. I was furious, when addressing this with a "manager", I didn't even get an apology - she quickly took the plate away from me and came back with a refund and a receipt that had a handwritten "next meal is on us". I'm not sure what's going on lately but the service has been very slow. In one of my recent visits I ordered toasted bagels. After waiting about 20 minutes I went to the counter and there it was just sitting. The guy who delivers the food to the tables commented that he couldn't find the table!? The table # was clearly noted on the receipt! I thought it was just a fluke so I went back recently and it was the same. We wanted a quick bite to eat before an appointment.
