Awesome addition to the Flemington area! I've heard a lot of good things about this place and needed to give it a try. I ordered pickup directly from Yelp, after reading the great reviews. I created my own bowl with two scoops. It consisted of: brown rice, spicy tuna, salmon, cucumber, corn, cilantro, mango, Hawaiian shoyu, and tempura flakes. To be frank, I've had better poke bowls. Maybe it was the texture of the rice, the overly salty shoyu collected at the bottom of the bowl, or the combo selection itself, this poke bowl lacked consistent flavor and the feeling of refresh for me. I wish the cilantro was cut into smaller pieces and the corn was sweet for that nice burst of flavor. Still, I finished the bowl and can definitely say the portion is filling. Again, Poke Cafe is a great addition to the area. I'd love to give it another shot. Cheers! read more

Really enjoyed getting take out here! I created my own bowl and everything displayed looked amazing! The mango went so well with my salmon, cilantro, cucumber and seaweed salad, yummmmm! Based on good Google reviews (only 3 reviews on Yelp) we decided to give it a try it...and it didn't disappoint ^_^ We had salmon and tuna with spicy/regular poke sauce, and they were fresh for sure b/c I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to raw fish. They offered quite a few options of cooked protein for those who don't eat raw fish, good selections of toppings, crunchies and varieties of sauces. I also got the black tea latte w/ bubbles The place was very clean and refreshing, and the staff was friendly. We're happy to finally find a good poke bowl place near (enough) us and will definitely come back for more and try other toppings and sauces . So I have now been here a half dozen times and it is now my favorite lunch spot. It is healthy and tasty and the service is great. I love all the options of things to put into your bowl! You can't go wrong with rice or salad, avocados, mangoes, salmon, tuna, chicken, beef or crab meat- so many great options for gluten free eaters, hi protein eaters, or just foodies who like to customize their bowls. Amazing to have a poke place in this area, and with so many quality protein options! The raw fish is fresh and delicious, but their cooked shrimp options and chicken look good too. The fact that they don't just have the standard salmon/tuna and spicy versions of both, but also offer seared salmon, pepper tuna, walnut shrimp, and so on, is amazing! Love that they also offer zucchini noodles as a base. They don't skimp on serving size either. Also offers bubble tea - another thing hard to find around Flemington. The demographic around here isn't particularly diverse - when I first visited shortly after they opened, there were a lot of folks commenting how they'd never heard of poke or bubble tea before, and were afraid to try it. Fantastic Poke and Bubble Tea, Salmon and Spicy crab with zucchini noodles and Taro tea.

Servers were kind. All the toppings were fresh and well-prepared. Restaurant was clean, and there was plenty of seating. I've only tried the poke bowl so cannot comment on the bubble tea. My one complaint is they were using something like Chinese take-out rice instead of proper seasoned sushi rice. Bummer bc rice really makes a big difference in poke. The rice didn't stand up to the sauces and became soupy. Given that the portion size is on the smaller side, sushi rice should be included in the price. I hope the owners see this and make this important change. read more
